S. Korean Foreign Ministry urges Japanese foreign minister to withdraw his claim - Duration: 0:34.

South Korea's foreign ministry urged the Japanese Foreign Minister taro kono to

immediately withdraw his claim that Dokdo Island is Japan's territory the

Japanese Foreign Minister had made such statement during a speech to Japan's

Parliament and the South Korean government gave a statement on the issue

on Sunday saying that Tokyo is Korea's indigenous land according to history

geography and international law so again stressed that a humble attitude of

facing history is the basis for the future development of korea-japan

relations

Aoshima, Kyushu Japan & the Devil's Washboard - Miyazaki - Duration: 10:42.

Hello and welcome back, today is day three in Kyushu we are going to Aoshima.

This is basically a stone's throw away from our hotel, the Holiday Inn, and you can take a Tuk Tuk t¥there.

or you just walked along the beach and we just walked.

Aoshima is a small little island and has a shrine on it.

This shrine has an annual Festival in January, around the 8th to 10th, around this time of the year (January).

It calls the naked festival but they're not really naked. They still wears some kind of underwear.

They're doing this because they are welcoming somebody.

I cannot pronounce his name

The festival is held annually.

Yeah, let's go.

We are on the way to our Yoga class.

On this little Island Aoshima.

When you turn (to the seaside) you can see the stone formation.

There is the tori again.

This shrine is known as marriage shrine.

In ancient times the whole island was sacred ground.

Until the Edo period entry onto the island was not permitted

We left the island after the shrine visit and went to the next restaurant there

There was a huge restaurant with a souvenir shop enclosed.

We had Shukurimu, Steak and Salad.There was a huge window front from ceiling to bottom (floor).

What we could see outside was a park or something like a botanic garden. I am not really sure what it was because we didn't take a look.

I always like to browse through the souvenir shop.

Yeah and then it's already dinner time.

We went to a Chinese restaurant in our hotel.

Also nice.

Food is very important in Japan

Pres. Moon vows to fulfill his duty to 23 last survivors of Japan's sexual slavery - Duration: 0:44.

President Moon Jae-in has paid tribute to the late Kim Bok-dong, writing on his Facebook

page that her testimony at the UN Human Rights Committee had (quote-unquote) "brought to

light a hidden history" and gave others the "courage to face the truth."

Kim was considered the most prominent Korean survivor of sexual enslavement by Japan.

President Moon promised he will "never forget to set history right" and will fulfill his

duty to the 23 survivors still living.

He also praised the late Kim for not wanting to be portrayed as a victim -- and instead

"pushing for an apology for imperial Japan's atrocities and for legal compensation."

Earlier this month, President Moon had visited Kim at the hospital where she was battling

cancer.

considering that I'm becoming a serious youtuber

so I went to IKEA to buy them too!

today we are doing a new serious video talking about JAPANESE CULTURE

and I would like to answer to this question: WHY JAPAN IS SO CLEAN?

in this video I will tell you the 3 reasons why Japan is so clean!

before we start let me reminds you that tomorrow I'm releasing another video talking about this subject with Lilletta on my other channel, so make sure to subscribe to that one too!

my first answer when I've just moved to Japan waas: probably because there are not trash cans around the city

but it is not like that, because Japan before the attacks of Omu Cult used to have those until 1995

so the REAL reasons must be something else

and in this video I will tell my opinion!

the first reason must be EDUCATION

the students in Japan will take turn and clean their classroom after the lessons are over

and this set into the mind of young Japanese the idea that : If I don't make the classroom dirty, it will be faster to clean it!

and also the fact that maybe you don't want your friend to have a hard time to clean the classroom when is his turn, it teaches Japanese to respect the others!

and maybe this is one of the reason why Japanese classroom are so clean compare to the majority of Italian schools

and also the students (also kindergarden) often serve lunch or snacks, and they have to wear hats and wash their hands. This teaches them the importance of hygiene

the second reason is connected to culture and traditions

infact in Japan there is a kami (to keep it simple, a shintoist god) called Bimbogami

he is the God of poverty

people says that if you keep you room messy, he will come and bring you misery and sickness + poverty!

so this makes people in Japan connecting poverty + dirty

and even if not all Japanese belive in this thing, they still respect it

and let me give you an example, as I've told you before in Japan you can throw away trash in places where you aren't supposed too

however it happens expecially in some forest, so to avoid this to happen

some prefectures took actions in Japan by putting some rapresentation of Torii (a in shinto is a portal that is placed before a sacred zone)

and this has limited the throwing away the garbage in these areas of the forest

and you can see those rapresentations of Torii around the city too!

Those are there to avoid that drunk people pxx on their house... well it... it's a fact!

or to avoid the get robbed

"god is watching you" might help avoiding those problems!

the 3rd reason is PUBLIC IMAGE

in fact, parents often tell their children that they are making noise, for example, in a restaurant that everyone is watching

this feeling enters the mind of the Japanese who often feel observed or could be seen

in fact there are also other signs with the inscription "miteiruzo" (I'm watching you)

this is perhaps also one of the reasons why many Japanese are silent on the trains, do not make many manifestations of affection in public, etc

Two Korean victims of Japan's WW2 sexual slavery die, including respected activist - Duration: 2:33.

A reminder of how time's running our for Japan to acknowledge its shameful past and offer

sincere apology to victims of heinous warcrimes.

Last night, another Korean survivor of the japanese military's wartime sex slavery passed

away.

She was Kim Bok-dong, who devoted her life to increasing global awareness of Tokyo's

past atrocities, and fighting for girls who were victimized during wars.

Lee Ji-won starts us off with a look back at how she lived.

93-year-old Kim Bok-dong, who was sexually enslaved by Japan during World War Two, died

Monday night after a battle with cancer.

For 30 years, Kim had fought tirelessly for women's rights and to raise awareness of Japan's

wartime sexual slavery.

Her three-day funeral, which started Tuesday, was attended by hundreds of mourners, including

President Moon Jae-in, who became the first sitting president to go to the funeral of

one of the sex slavery victims.

Kim's last moments were shared by the head of a Korean civic group called Justice and

Remembrance for the Issues of Military Sexual Slavery by Japan.

She said Kim asked her to never give up fighting until the issue is resolved.

At the age of 14, Kim was taken away by Japanese soldiers and told she would "work in a factory."

But instead, she was forced to serve as a sex slave for Japanese troops in China, Hong

Kong, Indonesia and other places.

It was only after eight years that she could return to her homeland.

In 1992, Kim started sharing her painful stories, and became an activist for women's human rights.

In 1993, Kim became the first victim to share the facts of Japan's sexual slavery at the

World Conference on Human Rights.

She continued her activism by meeting with affected individuals and international groups,

participating in protests and creating funds to help girls who have been sexually abused

in wars like she was.

But after all those years, she died without a sincere apology from Japan.

"We will continue protesting until Japan sincerely apologizes and compensates the victims."

Her protest against Japan will continue even after her death -- on Friday, her coffin will

be carried through Seoul, including the streets in front of the Japanese embassy.

Kim passed away the same day as another victim -- a 93-year-old woman known to the media

only by her surname Lee, who had suffered from poor health.

In 1947, at the age of 17, Lee had been kidnapped on her way home from work and taken to work

in brothels.

There are now only 23 South Korean victims still alive.

But their wishes for legal compensation and a sincere apology from Japan have yet to come.

Seoul and Tokyo agreed under the previous Park administration to set up a foundation

to help the victims.

But because the 2015 deal did not reflect the victim's wishes, Seoul informed Tokyo

last November that it would be disbanding the group.

Last week it officially canceled its approval of the foundation, prompting protests from

Japan.

South Korea remains firm that it will neither renegotiate nor scrap the deal, but it continues

to urge Japan that to solve this problem will require more sincere efforts.

Ohayo gozaimasu! So yeah I'm in Japan again and and and and and well it's the first

day, kind of, it's actually not the first day I've been here for a few days

already - to yeah, get used to the Jetlag again and yeah I think I did now

But the past days I would like to explain you a bit about that but that

will come later because I would like to walk around again in Tokyo and because

it's mmm it may be a bit boring when I walking around so I would

like to explain some stuff I have done with my friends here in the past days

and yeah showing that stuff like in between you know what I mean

never mind so today is 月曜日 which is Monday so yeah I have actually no

clue where I'm going today I only have like three full days I can use this time

well which is like one day more than last year so it's totally fine for me

mmm and you're going to spend some other days like like next week together with

my friends so yeah I think you're going to see a lot

of stuff here and I probably cut a few parts again for the Vlog because we

just we experienced so many things in the last days I have to cut it because

there's so much stuff going on so yeah I would like to show you my room again

because this is this is not the same room as last year it's actually mirrored

so it pretty much looks like last time so it's not really big you only have a little

hallway right here and my bed which is there and a little TV some stuff and

yeah the the toilet and bathroom so.... I really like those small rooms because

you pretty much have everything you need and that's totally fine for me and

I can open the window which is very good so mmm what time is it oh yeah

I wanted to tell you the stuff which was going on in the past days

well at first after landing my good friends Scalar, his boyfriend POW and

Uta-Inu, they picked me up from the airport so this was it was really nice

because yeah actually they spent all the days with me together which was great

because it's always good to have somebody around you who knows

where to go and how to do things and stuff so I would like to thank you for

that yeah on the first day we actually did something really nice because you

know I love bungee jumping and well in Germany and other countries around

Europe it's not a problem at all but nobody has done it so far in Japan

so we thought okay let's give it a try and do some bungee jumping here and you

know think big we just took the the highest bungee platform here in Japan

which is 100 meter and yeah we drove up there and we all did it together

it was a wonderful experience and yeah you're going to see some stuff of it

right now

so I really hope you enjoyed that it was a lot of fun I mean we were screaming as

hell and it was just so much fun 楽しい、とても楽しい!

the first day was really great so so as you can see we visited an Onsen (Hot Springs) and

very nice restaurants and yeah we had a lot of fun for the whole day and I'm

really thankful for this experience and I mean we were the first fursuiters

bungee jumping in Japan so it's like a big honor to be part of that

yeah the second day the second day was also very very nice we drove by car to

the north west part and we wanted to do some kart racing

I've never done Kart racing before because I was always afraid of getting

very dirty and stuff, but this this was kind of okay because

it was very dry so there was not really much dirt on the street and the Kart

itself was also very clean so it wasn't a problem at all

and yeah we had a lot of fun and we were driving very fast and well it was my

first time so I didn't really made it to the first place I was actually I think

the third or last place I don't know but and that doesn't matter it was a lot of

fun and we really enjoyed it and yeah, the problem was the material of

my GoPro is not the best because the positioning of the camera was too low

and my face like out of camera all the time

but though we got some nice material and I want to show it you know right now!

so as you can see it was a really really lot of fun and yeah we enjoyed that

yeah so so we also visited a very big shrine an 狼-Shrine which is a wolf shrine

That was really cool because I mean I'm

the wolf so we've been there just in time before they are closing and yeah it

was really really nice I finally been to a wolf shrine

it's really great so I shouldn't talk that much ^^ I mean you know I did this

I have no idea I'm lost already

I love it to be lost anyway it's such a sunny day today but it's really cold

I'm actually freezing

so I think I finally found the way again I walked a totally wrong direction again

as always but at those subway stations there are actually some little maps

right at the entrance so I could figure out where to go because I don't want to

use my phone again besides that there's one thing which is really annoying me

right now and that is that my GoPro batteries are kind of suffering something I

don't know what whenever I start the GoPro just for a tiny amount of time like a

few seconds or so the battery is like minus 10% minus 20% minus 10%

and it's gone I hope it's going to work if not I might

record with the phone later on but yeah it should work somehow okay so

I walked like a huge loop but I think in that direction it should be Akihabara

again so yeah I will just go there

Finally found that River again from last year the Kanda River I think

that's the one that means that Akihabara is somewhere over there I'm back on

track but I have no idea it's like I don't know 10 o'clock or maybe 11

already so I'm walking since 2 or 3 hours now I gonna check that soon but

yeah sun is shining it's good so I am happy

know I can see more than okay so yeah my phone says one and a half hour for yeah

seven point six kilometres but that should be all right it's not that far

look at that it's huge egg or something I don't know but it looks nice

I'm getting very close the phone says 1.5 km left but that's

get where I would like to get I mean yeah actually today is a holiday so we cannot

get up there but we can still take some photos

Mountain Biking in Japan | Shinshiro XC MTB Trail 【新城富岡MTBコース】 - Duration: 6:34.

Hello, my name is Cruise.

We're in Shinshiro in Aichi prefecture Japan today.

I've got my cold weather cycling clothing on.

we're going to do some mountain biking today.

My friend told me the Shinshiro mtb trails are some of his favorite.

Very excited to be mountain biking today.

My bike's name is Midori-chan.

time to start our ride!

One good thing about this area is there is little traffic

only a 1 hour drive from where I live

in Nagakute

I hope we enter the trail soon. It's very cold!

here we are at the entrance liking what I see so far it's a nice double track

gravel climb yeah I love this we caught these like double track trails in my

hometown we got these all over they convert these to cross-country ski

courses in the winter but I guess they don't get enough snow here so for me

double trek means this kind of trail where you can see there's two sort of

separate paths one on the left one on the right so two bikes can ride

side-by-side there's also enough distance for a car to go through here

but really there shouldn't be any cars on this course this is actually a

dedicated mountain bike course so if you check some of the mountain bike

magazines here in Japan this is how Shaun actually found this course this

course was listed in a mountain bike magazine as a dedicated mountain bike

course and in my mind this isn't really exactly a mountain bike course because

the entire thing is double track in our entire ride we didn't really find any

single track a little bit later we found some but it was really limited and we'll

show you guys that when we get there but for the most part this is some nice

wide-open double track with lots of elevation change lots of up hills lots

of fun down hills and it's mostly all covered in some pretty deep gravel so

some loose rocks you have to be careful about that when you're climbing and when

you're descending it is a little hard to get some traction at times but

throughout these climbs there are some amazing views here just the beautiful

forest and we also had some nice clear skies today beautiful day to ride and

considering how few places that are nearby me for me to ride my mountain

bike in Japan normally I wouldn't be too happy just to

be riding continuous doubletrack all day but considering I haven't been riding

mountain bike in a long time it felt amazing to get out and do these

double track rides and this course is pretty awesome there's at least 10 -

maybe even up to 20 kilometers I've dedicated path where you don't ride the

same section twice and like I mentioned there's some serious elevation gain here

so you can get a really really solid workout in here while you're riding your

mountain bike and of course these down hills were super super fun to take at

speed

for those of you that don't know Japan has a pretty negative attitude towards

mountain bikers in general and it's really hard to find a dedicated course

for mountain bikers to ride because usually there's a lot of hikers in Japan

hiking is extremely popular so a lot of trails are more oriented towards them

and a lot of hikers will complain about mountain bikers on the trail so in the

end a lot of trails are banned for mountain bikers but this course is

entirely dedicated to mountain bikers and as you can see it's a beautiful

course it's really well maintained and we also ran across a couple other people

on their mountain bikes just some casual people out so really great to see this

kind of facility out there while we were riding the course I noticed this little

path off the side of the main course it looked kind of like a single track

course that was rideable so I decided to check it out there weren't any signs

saying it was a hiking trail so it seemed like it was okay and you can see

for the beginning it's quite narrow it's a bit hard to navigate but pretty fun

pretty smooth nice little break to get away from the double track some routes

to go over and a little bit of climbing so I'm starting to get a little bit

excited but I've learned from my mountain bike riding here and depend not

to get too excited when you find a new trail because they usually end really

soon but as you can see this adventure quickly came to an end as we came across

some stairs so it seems like this actually was intended for hikers oh well

well that was fun while it lasted I'm pretty sure there might be some

singletrack trails lingering around somewhere on this trail but we decided

just to give up on our hunt and just enjoy the double track trail in total we

ended up writing about 28 kilometers this day and we got about eight hundred

and thirty five meters of elevation so our starting point was at about a

hundred meters of elevation in our tallest point was about 350 meters of

elevation so if you look at the strap a link it's pretty impressive the amount

of climbing that we can get over the short distance that we had and like I

said just super fun these down hills were super fun and also the long

continuous climbs are pretty enjoyable it's kind of strange to say the climbs

were enjoyable but overall a great course great to get a good workout in

I'd love to come out here with a nice big group and just do a nice hammerfest

training ride that sounds totally awesome so I'm curious if there are some

big group rides that go on here I'm still sort of trying to work my way

into the mountain bike scene here in Japan a lot of people do the rides on

their own there's not much of a group community for the mountain bike rides

just because there aren't that many places for them to ride but in the end

I'm super grateful that Sean invited me to come out to this course well worth

the drive out here especially since it's completely free to ride that's another

thing for riding mountain bikes here in Japan a lot of the courses you have to

pay to ride them but this one is completely free and as you can see just

absolutely beautiful sights along the entire trail we had a great day couple

hours of riding out here and just had a complete blast so definitely hoping to

ride some more mountain bikes going forward in the future and you might see

some more videos with me and Sean together hopefully we'll get him more on

camera next time anyway that's it for today's video guys I hope you guys

Two victims of forced sexual slavery of Japanese army pass away, one of them Kim Bok-dong,.. - Duration: 2:25.

Two Korean women, who during World War Two were sexually enslaved by the Japanese military,...

died on Monday.

Both of them very elderly, one was an extremely well-known activist who directed global attention

to Japan's past atrocities against women and girls.

Lee Ji-won has more.

Kim Bok-dong, a 93-year old victim of Japan's sexual enslavement during World War II, passed

away late Monday night.

At the age of 14, Kim was taken to (quote) "work in a factory" according to Japanese

soldiers.

But instead, she was forced to serve as a sex slave for Japanese troops in China, Hong

Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and other places.

It was only after eight years that she could return to her homeland.

In 1992, Kim started sharing her painful stories, and worked as a women's human rights activist.

In 1993, Kim became the first victim of Japan's sexual enslavement to stand at the World Conference

on Human Rights to share her testimony.

She continued her brave and bold protest against Japan's war crimes... by meeting people and

international groups, participating in protests and creating funds to help girls who have

been sexually abused in wars just as she was.

After all these years, she was still waiting for a sincere apology from Japan.

"We will continue protesting until Japan apologizes and compensates with sincerity"

Her protest against Japan will continue even after her death,... as after her funeral on

Friday, her coffin will be carried around Seoul, including along the streets in front

of the Japanese embassy.

This comes after another 93-year-old woman, known to the media only by her surname Lee,

died Monday morning after suffering from poor health.

Lee was kidnapped on her way home from work in 1942... at the age of 17.

There are now only 23 South Korean victims still alive.

But their wishes for legal compensation and a sincere apology from Japan are yet to come.

Seoul and Tokyo agreed in 2015 to set up a foundation to help the victims.

But the two sides are now working to disband it... because the 2015 deal did not reflect

the victim's wishes.

The Japanese foreign minister said the islets are Japanese territory in a speech to Japan's

Crazy Cute Kawaii Harajuku Foodtour mit Arigato Japan [ENG Sub] - Duration: 5:06.

Harajuku - the colorful district of Tokyo known for its fancy fashion stores.

Butthis is not the only thing this place has to offer.

I should get a completely new experience,

because today I was invited by Arigato Japan for a food tour in this district

and of course I'm gonna take you along.

Our tour guide today was Asami.

After we all introduced each other, we went straight to the first culinary shop.

A shop that offers local specialties from the Niigata prefecture.

Asami picked out some delicacies

and we made ourselves comfortable at a table in the shop and tasted them.

In this leaf packet there's mochi stuffed with red beans inside. That was totally delicious.

The senbei, that were coated with chocolate were very tasty as well.

I was surprised that the tastes would fit so well together.

Afterwards we went to the next food stop.

After she told us some historical facts about the area, Asami guided us to a very

special bakery and also here we are allowed to choose delicious things to try.

I especially liked the cocoa. And here you can see why.

This flambé marshmallow is filled with ice cream.

I wanted to try this pretty little tart

that tasted like matcha and fruity.

It was really delicious.

The next stop should be something for lunch.

We arrived in a visually very cool okonomiyaki restaurant

and were allowed to try okonomiyaki and monjayaki there.

Before that Asami told us a lot about Japanese table manners.

For example, how to give your friends beer in a proper way.

Have you ever tried monjayaki?

And if so, what do you personally like better?

And what should not be missing after a delicious meal?

Right, a dessert.

And that should be a rainbow-colored giant cotton candy,

which had many different tastes.

It felt like eating a rainbow.

Unfortunately, there was no pot of gold at the end.

And what fits in well with Harajuku? Exactly. The Purikura.

We also did that in the end. That was a really cute souvenir of that great day.
