- The New South Wales Department of Education

is quite a unique jurisdiction.

We're the second largest in the world, outside of New York.

We serve over 800,000 students in 2,250 schools.

And with that, obviously, comes a variety of technical issues

with regards to just the scope and size.

- The amount of Windows devices we are using for our students and teachers

is in excess of 360,000.

So, Microsoft has really helped us leveraging affordability

when it comes to putting devices into the students' hands.

Intune's changing the way we work.

We can deploy applications through Intune quite seamlessly and easily

without having to be restricted by some of the scale issues we have.

I think Microsoft has really helped us come out of the darker days of IT.

We no longer have to reinvent the wheel.

- Our team is very active on Microsoft Teams.

We need to save teachers time in their admin.

Instead of having a meeting,

they'll put all of the information they need on Teams

and they're buying that time back.

And for every minute, every hour that you buy back

for a teacher or a leader in a school,

that's buying time back

to thinking about teaching and learning

for the students of that school.

- The vision for students in New South Wales

is to provide and prepare students for the future.

Getting that base level competency up first

opens up the opportunities for all students.

- Coding is actually a mandatory component

of some of the syllabus documents now in New South Wales' schools,

so it has to be taught; it's non-negotiable.

When students know that learning is going to be interesting,

engaging, relevant for what they're about to do,

they'll come to school.

- We had set up an educational showcase

and students were engaging with robots

and 3D printing and using Microsoft Builder to design prosthetics

for veterans and other students with disabilities.

- Work that is developed through OneNote,

through Office 365, it allows students to move at their own pace.

It allows students that are very gifted to go further.

It allows students that need assistive technologies

to be able to use those technologies in a meaningful way.

If you're not giving your students those assistive technologies,

or the ability to move at their own pace,

or find their own learning journey, what are you providing them?

- I think Microsoft have got their eye on the future

in terms of where they go with their development.

They are focusing on the education process

rather than the technology for technology's sake.

When I was 16, I took my driver's license test

I was driving a

Subaru Impreza STI, which had 350 horse power.

The moment I felt

the power, torque blow it's boost,

was the moment I realized what I would like to do for a living.

When our semester at Rzeszow University of Technology began, we started our project right away.

With a bunch of enthusiastic students

from various departments of our school

and we formed a Formula Student racing team.

Formula SAE is one of the most demanding engineering competitions in the world.

We drove our car on the Formula one track,

With quite satisfying results.

Today, we benefit from the experience we gained there.

That's how I met my current partners,

but it's mainly our passion

that keeps us here together.

It is rare that I stop working at 4pm

But more often than not I am working until midnight

Not because I have to, but because I want to.

I do not have any passion for cars. I am here because of my teammates and my partners.

It's great!

What we are doing at the moment is more about opportunity.

When we were still at school,

we received our first orders from clients

and based on our experience

and using the various resources of that sponsorship,

We are a start-up business.

We enhanced our cooperation with DPS Software

and we applied for the SOLIDWORKS for Entrepreneurs program.

We are able to use SOLIDWORKS,

which gives us great engineering capabilities.

We provide various services for the automotive industry,

for example, measurement inspections, and 3D scanning.

We design and build machines from scratch,

which we use every day,

and can simplify our everyday life.

Leaving the industrial zone behind and moving to the automotive,

There are definitely much more interesting things happening here.

At the moment, we are rebuilding an off-road car

for a double cabin, and pickup truck.

From the very beginning

we used SOLIDWORKS, we scanned the whole body

to design a bulkhead for it.

We have done the design of the new frame and currently

we're making the prototype.

For these kinds of projects, we use SOLIDWORKS for everything

from the design of suspensions, frames,

bumpers, and luggage racks.

Every element made on this car

was designed in SOLIDWORKS.

If someone is aiming higher,

and has plans and goals for the future,

they should start working and gain experience as soon as possible.

I chose to become an RA because I am actually a transfer student

and I learned a lot from my first experience of college

and they weren't all great things but I definitely wanted to impart some of that knowledge and

I guess wisdom experience to other people because I really had wished someone did that for me

when I was thinking about my RA and how much like of an impact he made on me

and then i thought about how much I can make an impact for other people

Last year my RA made sure that he created a community where we all felt welcome

and coming from India i was very nervous about finding my community

so the way that he talked to his residents really inspired me

so I wanted to be able to do that for other people

Last year on my floor

none of the people on my floor really talks

so we didn't really like get to know each other

and I felt like that was something that I really wanted

humm so my goal was to make a community on my floor

to make sure that all of our residents

and not only our residents, just kind of the whole

community that we work in

feel safe

it's really important to foster

ahhh a really good community

humm on your floor

or like within your building

where students feel comfortable

and free to express themselves

and one that prioritizes individual development

in the upperclassmen and sophomore ahh sort of dorms

hum it's a little bit different

you're sort of a more of a guiding figure

humm somebody that is there if anybody needs help

ahh most challenging thing about being an RA

is probably time management

time management

I think most people are gonna say that

you'll probably hear that a lot

like time management is a huge key for me

it's so easy to just like

humm kinda be like

oh i will do it next quarter, I'll do it next week, and put things off

so its really important to prioritize and just really time like your

manage your time really well

to make sure that like you're not neglecting yourself

but you're also not neglecting your responsibilities, your residents,

and like your job as a whole

knowing when to take a step back

and rejuvenating and recharging

so you can do the job

self-care is important

You'll probably hear that a lot

My favorite part about being an RA

is not only all of our amazing residents that we have

but the staff that we get

humm we all bond so close and I've been in two buildings now

so I've had two different staffs

and I love them both so much

not only my peers but also my supervisors are always so amazing

oh I love their residents so much

its definitely really rewarding to see your

like floor traveling together

and everybody just hanging out in the lounge and talking to each

I have a passion for people for people

so I love helping people out and making sure that

they're okay, they're the happiest person they can be

they're the most successful person they can be

as a student on campus

I think doing the 1 on 1s in the beginning really helped to like

for them to know me and for me to know them

and i know like how to approach each and every single one of them

probably the community you develop with your staff

it was something I really wasn't expecting at all

I walked into my first staff meeting not knowing anyone

and now some of my best friends are RAs

which is something I can perfectly honestly say

that I never thought that would happen

but they're my support system just like I am for my residents

don't apply to be an RA just because you want free room and board

of course that's an awesome plus to it

but if you're the kind of person who likes to help people

and you like talking to people and those sort of things

then you'll love the job because you get the free room and board

but then you love what you're doing and if you don't love what your're doing, you're just

not gonna have a good time

humm its hard to know what its like to be an RA until you are in the position

so talking to RAs now, current RAs is something that I think is really important

especially be open to learning and

knowing that you're gonna constantly be learning

and being okay with not knowing some stuff

and being comfortable with asking

humm because a big part of the job is just growing and helping the community grow

two weeks before RA a training began

I got an email that said would you like to be an RA

humm so i would say for all of you that get wait-listed or told no

don't give up

we're all different in our own unique ways

and yes some people might be more outgoing than you

some people might want to humm

be more in their rooms but as RAs

we genuinely care

humm and it just shows in different ways

so don't worry about being introverted or extroverted

you'll fit in just fine and you're residents are gonna love you

Biography of TB Joshua

Temitope Balogun Joshua was born on June 12, 1963.

There is a mystery surrounding his birth.

It was said that he spent 15 months in his mother's womb and played a fast one on death

just seven days after his birth when an explosion from a quarry site sent rocks to the roof

of their house.

T.B's birth was said to have been prophesied a hundred year before he was born.

He started his formal education at St. Stephens Anglican primary school in Arigidi Akoko,

Ondo state, Nigeria between 1971 and 1977, but failed to complete one year of secondary

education.

He was known as Small Pastor because of his love for the word of God and how often he

will talk about it.

After dropping out of school, he did a number of casual jobs including carrying chicken

waste at a poultry farm.

During that period he organized Bible study for children as he attended evening school.

TB Joshua saw the army as a way to escape poverty and hardship but the closest he ever

got was being left stranded en route the military academy when the train broke down.

The Synagogue, Church of All Nations started when Joshua said he received a vision from

heaven and a covenant from God.

In no time, his church grew and more than 15,000 members attends its Sunday services,

asides the visitors from abroad that are given accommodation in the church premises.

Despite the church's popularity, it only has a single branch in Ghana, TB Joshua has

said that it is not yet time to have branches worldwide.

The Synagogue has been said to be Nigeria's biggest tourist attraction and one of the

most visited places of worship by religious tourists with thousands of foreigners attending

its weekly services.

Nigerian Immigration service indicated that six out of every ten foreigner that visits

Nigeria go to Joshua's church.

A newspaper even reported that about two million local and international tourists visit Synagogue

annually.This has brought and increase to flight fares en route Lagos

This makes Joshua's church contribute to Nigeria economically and it is one of the

reasons why there was an outcry when he said the church will be relocating to Israel.

He is active on social media as has about 3 million fans on Facebook and his Youtube

channel, Emmanuel TV, has over a million subscribers and it is the world's most viewed Christian

ministry on the platform- often described as the 'Opera of evangelism' because of

its popularity.

He has being recognized by the Nigeria government for his effort in reducing poverty and was

given a national honour, officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) in 2008.Pan

African magazines have in countless times called him one of Africa's 50 most influential

people.

Forbes in 2011 reported that he was the third richest pastor in Nigeria but he refused the

claim by a statement released by the church.

TB Joshua is married to his heart rob, Evelyn and they have three children; the eldest,

Serah, is a graduate from London School of Economics from their law department and was

called to bar in Nigerian in December 2015 while Promise his second daughter is studying

Politics and international relations in the same school.

The Research and Education Centers exist to work on the - on solutions for the

problems of the citizens of South Carolina.

And in that, we need all the hands we can have and so, and all the minds that can come

together.

When we don't have the ability to house students at the RECs, that limits the ability to involve

more students and better students in our projects.

And having the ability to host either groups from other universities, people from other

states, visiting scientists from other - from other countries even - will completely open

our laboratories and open our RECs to many more collaborations, many more possibilities.

- Technology education here (pause) at Kiel encompasses

everything from graphics and screen printing on T-shirts

to carpentry, you touch on some machining

and welding and fabrication.

- Some of the machinery that we get to use are

the CNC Router, the router, the bandsaw and the miter saw

and a bunch of other cool machines.

- I feel that I'm better in the hands on environment

because it lets me see how things are going to work

instead of just how they should work.

- I enjoy the work here that we do through our school

with the metals especially because that's something

that I like to do is the metals

and figuring out different designs

and how things are put together through variation of shapes.

- We continually build.

We have two levels in each of the areas that we teach

and then we open up for independent studies

and or look at youth options, youth apprenticeship,

those types of things to get kids into the workforce,

into ready for the work world.

- I think Tech-Ed helps me in other classes

because it really drives my critical thinking.

You know, how is this gonna go together here,

what am I going to have to do to

throw this weld there or drill that hole, you know?

- You have to plan before you do something.

You can't just go and do it

'cause it'll never turn out the way you want it.

You have to plan, you have to set measurements, blueprints,

you got to draw it out, you got to create it.

It takes some practice, some experience and skill to a point

but over time you build that up, the more classes you take.

- These programs are valuable

because it teaches the students some entry level skills

and gets them interested in the careers that are out there

and a lot of the careers in the technical areas

are high paying jobs.

- Trades are needed right now, I know that,

in the job field.

You will get a job right out of high school

if you want to go into trades.
