According to insiders, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have their heart set on the school

The Princess will be four in May and has attended Willcocks Nursery in Kensington since last January

 Thomas's Battersea is a "busy, thriving, purposeful school" and their most important rule is to "Be Kind"

 Its website says the site offers a "rich and broad curriculum, with Art, Ballet, Drama, ICT, French, Music and PE all taught by specialist teachers from a child's first day in school"

 It currently educates 560 boys and girls between the ages of four and 13. The school costs £6,158 per term from Reception to Year 2, but as Princess Charlotte is the second Cambridge child attending Thomas's, it will only cost Kate and William £6,005

 From Year 3 to Year 8 the school costs £6,956 for the eldest child and £6,785 for the second child

 Pupils are offered after-school activities, including philosophy, gardening, pottery and fencing

 The school was chosen for Prince George by the Cambridges because "it was the right fit for him"

 Prince George, six, has been at school for two years and many have assumed he will attend Eton for his secondary education like his father

 But, his parents are considering sending him to the Duke of Cambridge's former school

 The Cambridge's have discussed sending Prince George to £12,605-a-term Marlborough College as opposed to £13,556-a-term Eton

 Only 10 percent of pupils from Marlborough College attend Oxford or Cambridge, while a quarter of Eton students attend the prestigious universities

 A friend said: "William and Catherine surprised many with their choice of Thomas's Battersea for George over more traditional royal schools, but picked it because they felt it was the right fit for him

 "They are very keen to allow George to spread his wings as a child and won't ever do what people expect them to do when it comes to their children

" Marlborough College costs £37,815 per annum. If Prince George attended the school from year 7 to 12, his secondary education would cost a mouthwatering £226,890

 Louise explained: "She'll say: 'This is your opportunity to show Mummy and Daddy just how wonderful you are, and you are to smile and be really good for them and then we can go inside and play

' "Maria will know their schedule. She will be doing a lot of explaining to them, what is happening

 "If the children have travelled on royal engagements, it will be jolly difficult getting the kids to bed because of the excitement and the timetable of events

 "When you see William and Kate go off to a function and the children aren't with them, they will be having naptime
