There is famous Korea food buffet here. Their food is delicious and cheap.

I did exercise in the morning, and I am very hungry. Let's go eat right now.

This is a fresh croaker from Mokpo early.

I cook like this every day.

First, I'm going to get just made fried croaker and fried cutlassfish.

And then my favorite Korea style meatball. I'll get a lot it.

Potato.

This is today's food.

These are barbequed beef, vegetables, fried croaker, fried cutlassfish, side dishes, Korea style meatball, soy Sauce braised potatoes, steamed cabbage, beef radish soup, Bibimbap, curry rice, banquet noodles, bread with jam.

Let's enjoy it.

Anchovy meat broth is good.

Bibimbap this time.

A big mouth.

With the newly kimchi they made.

Boning a fish.

This curry rice is delicious, too.

2018 Tax Strategies: Self Employed And Earning Less Than $350K - Duration: 7:23.

Are you an entrepreneur making less than $350,000

dollars?

Today, I talk tax strategies

he can use to reduce taxes on your 2018 tax

return.

Previously I talked

about entrepreneurs who make less than a

$100,000.

Even if you make above that amount,

I do recommend you watch that

video because there are some things you can learn.

In this video I specifically talk

about situations in addition

to that.

That might limit those deductions

for an income earner who is,

who makes $315,000 if

married jointly.

So which means you

and your spouse makes

$315,000. Or if single file

and makes about $157,500

and above.

I'm sure by now you've heard about the

qualified business income deduction.

The qualified business income deduction,

also known as QBI deduction

is 20% of your QBI income.

What is your QBI income?

For most people,

It will most likely be your net income.

So, when taxable income is below $315,000

for married person

and $157,500 for other

filing status,

there is nothing to worry about.

However, problems and

complication starts happening when

you go about this amount.

Let's talk QBI limitations.

But first, before I do that

I need you to understand what a specified

business is.

The rules change depending on whether

or not you are classified as specified

business or your other,

general businesses.

So, what is a specified business?

A specify trade

or business is a business involved in the

performance of services

in the field of health,

law,

accounting,

consulting,

financial services,

brokerage services,

or any trade

or business where the principal asset

of such a trading business is

the reputation

or skill award of one

or more of its employees.

In other words,

if you're service business where the business

depends on you - you are the business.

You are a specified business.

So, if you're not a specified business,

then you're a non-specified business.

A general business is what I call it.

Basically, you don't meet this definition.

As a general business owner

I would like to take a minute to talk about your

limitations.

If you make over $315,000

if you're married.

$157,500 if you're a single,

the QBI deduction is subject to phase

out limitations.

However,

it's at $415,000

for married and

$207,500 per single.

Your QBI cannot be more than 50% of

your wages

or the sum of 25% of

your wages plus 2.5% of

the unadjusted basis.And basically,

unadjusted basis is

the original costs you bought your assets.

So, let's look at a 50% of wages

limitation.

Here's an entrepreneur making about

$350,000 a year

without paying wages hHe

owes $96,198

in taxes.

With pay wages,

he pays $85,963

in taxes.

This is a $10,000 difference.

So, if he was not going to pay himself wages

because he was above that

income threshold he does

not get the QVI deduction.

Let's take a look at what this looks like.

Same situation. The only difference is

he took $50,000 in wages.

So, that the 50% limitation.

He can only take the maximum

of 50% of his wages,

which is the $25,000 to

intercept above the threshold.

So, 50% of

$50,000 is $25,000.

And that alone

brings his taxes down by $10,234.

So, now let's make the assumption that

this business owner has a million

dollars in assets.

So that means sitting on his books right now,

the cost of what he bought this asset,

less all the depreciation he's taken over the

years is a million dollars.

Well he gets to get 2.5%

of that plus 25% of his

wages if it's higher.

But the 50% of the wages is higher,

he gets to get that.

But in this case, the 2.5% of unadjusted bases,

plus 25% of wages were higher.

So, we can scroll down here

and we can see the test

that he gets $37,500 of QBI.

Now here when he paid no

wages or did nothing he gets zero which

we've talked about before.

But now he gets $37,500.

This brings his tax liability down to

$81,588.

So, that is a savings

of $14,609.

Same situation, only

difference is you've chosen

to pay wages versus not take wage.

Now as a specified business

you don't have to wage limitation like

the non-specified business has.

As a specified service business,

if are above the threshold

and your income reaches $415,000

for married files

and per $207,500 for

single you don't get a QBI.

So, at this level

it looks like the

C-Corp might actually be best for you because

you get that flat 21%.

Inbetween the $315,000 and $415,000

your income is phased,

your deductions phased out based

on how far above you are above

the threshold.

Let's take a look at a specified

business example.

So here I have checked

that I do want to be a specified business

and you can see this is exactly the same example

I have previously.

$50,000 in wages,

one million in assets for

the test.

So I already change that,

just like I did previously.

And we can see that

on the individual income tax side we

have a little break of $1,484.

However, because of the wages were paid.

There was an increase in payroll taxes of $3,825.

So that's actually,

and that means you actually end up paying more

if you include payroll taxes in the amount

of $2,340.

And you can see here that you don't get

any QBI deduction.

So, once you,

once you exceed that threshold as

a specified business,

the C-Corp test

becomes even more essential for you.

So, back to the C-Corp test,

say "yes" I want to test

from S-Corp to C-Corp and see what happens.

Whoa! Look at my tax liability!

It goes down $22,698.

As a specified business

with very high income,

I mean,

it went at that income level.

I think most people will agree that $22,000

is not a pocket change of money.

So,

it might be worthwhile looking at

a C-Corp. Because the 21% tax

rate is lower.

Most, more than likely lower

than what you're paying on your personal side.

Non-duality and the nature of the Self - Duration: 5:14.

Hello. So today I'm going to talk about the nature of the Self.

Now, in non-duality, the Self is all there is. There's no other. There's no

separation. There's no second. There's only the Self.

There's only ever been the Self. And so, as people are talking about trying to

practice being the Self or finding the Self or staying with the Self or abiding

in the Self...they're actually setting up an artificial, illusionary separation

between them and the Self. You can't practice to become what you already are.

You can't try to stay with what you already are. There's nothing to do...to be

with the Self...because you are the Self. You've always been that. And a lot of

people think that in finding the Self or non-duality

that it's something other than this. Something other than the what we

experience. But it isn't, because otherwise that would have to be some kind of other.

That would...if the Self was not this...all manifestation...all form...if the Self was

something else, well then there would be a second. There would be another and

there isn't one in non-duality. Now... there is just a basic ignorance. It's a

misunderstanding. It's only a belief in a thought that we

aren't the Self. So finding the Self is kind of...you know...in a way...getting in

your own way, because there's nothing to find. You are already here. You are

the ever-present Self. You are ever here and

now. Where else would you be? Where else would you go? So, there's nothing to

attain. And that's why a lot of times they say there's nothing to attain,

because you can't attain what you already are. If it's already with you, what

would you get? So there's no gain...there's no loss. In a way, you can think about the

law of conservation of energy. Energy is not created or destroyed.

It will transform into different forms and it will move about, but that is it.

It is never created or destroyed. The Self...

non-duality...likewise...

never created...never destroyed. It's just a transformation of forms. And we are not

the forms, we are...well...in a way we are the forms, but we are all the

forms. It's a funny thing, because we often get stuck on the form. And so,

sometimes the teaching is 'we are not the form', but inevitably it will come back to

'we are the form.' It's kind of like...ice and water. They're both the same thing.

It's just the forms vary. And if the ice melts into the liquid, nothing was gained

or lost. It's still the same. In that way, nothing has ever gained or lost. It's a

transformation of form...a movement of energy, but it's always the same

energy. The form is energy. Einstein in his e=mc²...you know...if you take

off the "c²"... because it's a... you know...it's a constant squared to help

calculate the amount of energy, you're just left with e=m. Energy equals

matter. Energy is matter...matter is energy. They aren't separate. They aren't

other. They are the same thing. And that's the way the Self is. Everything is the

Self. There is no other. There might be a form that comes and goes, but the form is

the Self and what it turned into is the Self. Nothing gained or lost. The Self is

all there ever was.

The trick is realizing what you've always been.

Yesterday, this is very true.

I had like an hour to kill. I'm promoting my book.

I had an hour to kill in between things.

And I walk past a barbershop.

And I said, "You know what?

I'm going on TV tomorrow, Seth's show.

I want to get the sides and the back cleaned up."

I go in. This guy starts going hard.

[ Laughter ]

And I am not exaggerating at all.

This happened to me yesterday.

He stops halfway through.

He turns off the clippers and he goes,

"I want you to know I am not a barber."

[ Laughter ]

And I started laughing

'cause that's a really funny thing for a barber to say.

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

And then I'm quoting him when he said, "No, I'm not kidding.

I don't know what the [bleep] I'm doing."

[ Laughter ]

But we were halfway done.

So I think I have a terrible haircut right now

and I feel very insecure about it and I'm sorry.

-Have you put any thought or did you ask any follow-ups

about how that ends up happening that a man who's not a barber...

-He had a whole scheme.

He was trying to make money off the idea.

It was very weird. -Wow.

The day it came out I went to

the Barnes & Noble in Union Square, the big one,

because my mom -- I wanted to take a picture of it

on the shelf and send it to my mom.

I'm not so egocentric that I had this idea.

It's for my mom. [ Laughter ]

And I went and looked --

I looked in the humor section and it wasn't there.

So I said, "Oh, that's weird. It's in self-help.

I got to get used to this." But it wasn't there either.

So then I went up to the manager

and I said, "this is embarrassing, but I'm an author.

My book is out today. Can you tell me where it is?"

And he types in the computer and he goes,

"Oh, it looks like we bought nine copies.

They're in a box somewhere.

I hope the box isn't in the basement."

So I guess you can find it in

the basement of your local bookstore.

[ Laughter ]

-I feel like I wouldn't be surprised if that guy said,

"Also I need you to know I'm not a bookstore manager."

But me and this bookstore guy,

It's a really hot day in Lagos. Honestly, I am sweating like a freaking pig

Self-care if I'm a German woman, you probably understand what I'm talking about as a Nigerian woman

I think African women who can relate to this. We're taught to take care of everybody else before taking care of ourselves. So

Suffering is a badge of honor

Or you have to suffer to get happy to find happiness at the end of the day and I really don't believe in that

it's important to take care of yourself because I

Feel like when you really take care of yourself

And I don't mean by an expensive wigs or fashion and or whatever when you really take care of your body your mind your health

that's when you can perform at your

Optimum level and be the best for the people you love and the people who love you

So in this video, I'm just gonna be running through a few self-care tips

You know to live your best life

Especially when you live in the busy crazy stressful city like I do which is Lagos. It's maddening

So I feel you just need to sometimes just need to take some time to take care of yourself so you can

recenter and you can be

At your optimum, I feel that's what self-care is about taking care of yourself

Truly taking care of yourself. Not you keep doing things for yourself just because you want others to see that's when you know

I don't think that's taking care of yourself. No, I'm not an expert on this topic

I'm just talking as someone who is on this journey, so I'm learning as well

So I just want I just come here to share. So I'm interested in hearing about self-care tips that are beneficial

Especially when you live in a high-stress environment

Keep watching a really great self-care tip that I feel has helped me a lot is eating clean eating organic

So, you know foods with preservatives are not good for your system

We all know that I mean most of the healthcare problems that we're experiencing now in life are down to our food

I'm lucky that I live in a city where a lot of most of the food is organic

Anyway straight from the farm to the market to the grocery store to the table because of population growth and all that

We're beginning to see more chemicals in our food in our meat and it's affecting our health. There's more cases of cancer

dementia

So I feel eating clean. I'm not saying never eat junk food because listen I eat junk food

I love cake. I have a sweet tooth. I'm not saying

Totally cut it out of it like I mean if you can hey by all means it try as much as possible

To eat clean when you can't what you feed your body

It just emanates in every part of you and when you eat clean up you feel better even when you start eating clean

Your body just feels strong them obviously

There'll be the time where you have to eat fast food, but when you can't cook your meals at home meal prep, it's hard

I'm really struggling with that now with no purpose. It was an epic situation in Nigeria

Take time for yourself to quiet your mind. You know, we live in a time where there's just so much noise

News on the TV a lot of news on TV is bad. There's stuff on the internet

More bad news, there's stuff on social media. It's cooling through social media and I seen stuff that I'm making you feel insecure

So sometimes you just need to step away from all that all the noise, you know

The stress the traffic family stress work stress school stress, so I'm just need to step away

Just quiet your mind. Some people meditate meditation is also a type of a way to quiet your mind

I've tried meditation, but I have not been

Consistent with it when I have meditated. I've used an app called headspace

Meditation is not just a city. It's not people think what my teacher is going to go home

completely think about nothing what meditation is more of just focusing on one thing and when your mind starts to

divert

Which it will it will divert because they are human you just bring it back to that one thing

You're thinking about prayer is another one. You know, Kriya is great

Meditation and prayer know what relaxes you we all know what relaxes us like for me

When I'm in my room sometimes I would dance nobody I'm just there by myself. Um for me I'm in the club

I'm at a party by myself. I'm just dancing like nobody can see me

Obviously nobody can I can't really dance like I want nobody's looking no what relaxes you it could be reading a book it could be

Dancing could be watching TV, but some people is writing in their journal keeping a gratitude list also

Really I find

helps as a way of

Self-care, even if you're having a bad day

And you take time to just be thankful for things. It just makes me more appreciative and it just makes me filled with

gratitude and joy and happiness

Pretty much so gratitude lists our great self-care tip pamper me time

Ladies and guys. Listen, I think you owe me time, you know just going for a manicure

Going for a spa treatment

Getting a pedicure whether you're a guy or girl whatever, you know

Just having that time that mean like see do you pamper yourself for me?

I will do mine every day at the end of each day. I've just recently gotten into this

It's a sense that Korean skincare right under the tents. There's a nobody got time for that. Oh, I do I think five steps

For me, it's just I look forward to it

because even if it doesn't say anything to my I just like that time where I just

It's the end of the day I take off my makeup

I wash my face I use my toner I use my essence I put on my

Mom I put on my cream

I like that time I just for me is just a little pamper session just like a five-minute session

So hello, and I do this every day I do this every night without fail

So have a little pamper me session. It doesn't have to be every day at least once a week

speaking of skin flora shade drink water that h2o that

h2o

Your skin will be glowing

What's that? It's great. Like I

Try to drink that ever bottle. I can't know how many liters it is

I think we're meant to drink 3 2.5 litres of water a day

Notice how I have a headache or migraine. It's opposed to me a lot. I'm

Dehydrated, all I need to do is drink water

And I'm fine for me water is just as important as you think clean and another one that I really love

This has helped me a lot

Exercise my goodness. I think I'm out

I didn't know what my fitness goals are I go to the gym because it makes me feel good if I just wanted a flatter

Stomach a bit of a woody just now I go to the gym because it makes me feel good

after workout no matter how

hard how difficult the workout is I

Feel good after I have my endorphins rushing usually when I workout in the morning. Ah,

That's big. I feel I can take on the world. I feel like superwoman I just feel like the listen I can slay dragons

Exercise you don't have to go to the gym. You don't have to be a fitness person some

simple as walking

Walk where you live in your s take 10 minutes 15 minutes

And don't just sit down and be stationary do some kind of exercise

Listen, it doesn't always have to be like, oh I'm wearing my fitness kids

I'm going to go on walks and we've gone through squats. I'm putting to the gym and need to lose 20 kilos

No, if it's a if it's a distance that you can walk

Walk instead of driving, you know exercise guys. Don't just be sitting down on your stationary

so to find those things that make you happy and do them as long as they're

Legal, they don't harm anyone

So if you're a sicko and you feed off of hurting people if that's what makes you happy you really need to seek some therapy

No judgement. So guys. Those are my self-care tips. These are just a few of the things I've worked for me
