I'm going to introduce you about iOS 12 the next-generation operating system for

your iOS device let's get started iOS 12 has an improved do not disturb

mode let me show you how it works now previously when you want to use to not

disturb you can either tap and hold or use 3d touch to activate and turn on or

off do not disturb now you get more options including maybe

for one hour until this evening or until you leave a certain location you can

also schedule it and when you schedule it you can actually customize the date

the time of when you do not want to be disturbed

very useful if you want to have a very good peaceful sleep in addition to that

when you turn off your screen you notice that your screen we have this

do not disturb during bedtime calls with silence or the

notification appear in the Notification Center so it's a very cool and updated

feature do not disturb try it out on your iOS 12 device right now thank you

How to Download, Install and Configure SAS University Edition? - Duration: 6:58.

Hello all, Johanna Aalto here! I'm going to show you, how to download, install and configure

the SAS University Edition.

The first step is to download Oracle VirtualBox.

Copy the url address with the blue background

Write the link to the address bar and make sure, you are on the SAS University Edition page.

Click the Get free software button.

Scroll down a little and you can find three boxes.

Choose your operating system.

I have Windows, so I will choose the first one.

Make sure, your computer meets the minimum system requirements.

Scroll down again and you find the four step guide,

how to download, install and configure the SAS University edition.

Scrolling down you can find the pdf instructions.

There are also video instructions, if you want to check them out.

Scroll down again and you can find the link to the VirtualBox software.

Our first step is to downlad it.

Click to download VirtualBox.

In the VirtualBox page choose the latest package to your operating system.

In my case I will choose the Windows hosts.

If your download does not start in the few seconds,   be sure you don't have any firewall or settings blocking it.

While you are waiting the download to be finished, you can make ready some other things.

Let's go back to the SAS University Edition download page.

Open the pdf document.

Create a folder called SASUniversityEdition.

Then create a subfolder called myfolders.

You can create them where ever you want, as long as you remember where they are.

This is a place you will save your SAS files.

When your VirtualBox download is ready, double click to install it to your computer.

Accept every step by clicking next and install.

Now just wait for the installing program to finish.

After installing is ready, click the finish button.

Now let's open the SAS University Edition download tab again.

We can now continue to the second part of installation.

Click the Get SAS University Edition button.

After click, the page is going to ask you to register to the SAS.

You will then have a download link to your email.

The registeration process is not in this video, because I have already done that myself.

This process should be very straightforward though.

After clicking the email link, you must agree the terms and conditions.

Then continue and download page for SAS University edition is finally opening.

Click the download button and downloading should be start in any second.

The SAS file is a large file, so prepare yourself for a long downloading time depending on your own internet connections.

In step 3 we will configure the SAS University Edition.

Open the VirtualBox.

Now we must import the SAS University Edition, which we  downloaded earlier.

Click File and Import Appliance.

Open the File Explorer and search your file. It's probably in Download folder.

Open the downloaded file.

Click Next, and Import.

Importing may take some time and it is not on this video.

After importing process is finished, click the settings.

From settings, choose the Shared folders.

On the right side you can see a small icon,

where from you can add your own folder we created before.

In Folder Path click the small arrow and choose Other.

I created the needed folders to Documents.

Now you should find the place you created Your folders.

Select myfolders.

Also check  the Auto-mount.

Now the configuration is done and you can start your program.

Next, I'm going to show you how to run SAS University edition

First, we need to start the VM Virtual box. The icon has a cubic shape.

Now the VirtualBox opens the window.

At this moment I assume you have configured your VirtualBox already.

Next, click the start button.

You can now see the black screen, which means that SAS has started to run.

Blue screen with SAS logo can also appear to your screen.

Finally, the black screen appears again.

On the third row you can find an URL address.

Write it down, so you can use it later.

You can minimize the black screen, but do NOT exit the program.

Open your internet browser. I have Google Chrome, but any browser should do.

Click the address bar and write the link from black screen.

Remember to NOT close the VM Virtual Box.

In a few seconds the SAS University Edition is ready to take your commands.

Drunk University of South Carolina students cause mayhem at a hospital - Daily News - Duration: 3:19.

Dozens of drunk University of South Carolina students are overloading the emergency room and causing mayhem at a local hospital

 Nurses at Palmetto Health Baptist said they mostly get underage drinkers who wreak havoc on the emergency room following the university's home football games

 'They try to run away, fight people and pee in the corner,' one Palmetto nurse told The State

 Other nurses revealed that once the games are over, stretchers line the hallways with drunk students, causing a strain on resources at the hospital for those who are actually sick

  Palmetto Health spokeswoman Tammie Epps said in a statement to the news site that 'like any large influx of patients, this places a strain on the emergency department, especially since many of these patients may not require medical treatment'

Another nurse told the news site that some students can be 'violent'.It's unclear how many students are usually treated at the hospital following a major event like a football game, but during a recent game at least 15 students were treated at Palmetto Baptist at the same time

 'Most of them are 18, 19 years old,' one nurse told the State. 'One of them wasn't even 18 years old

'The most popular time of year for students to take a trip to the hospital for excessive drinking is in the fall months of September, October and November

   Some students come into the hospital with a blood-alcohol level of .20 or .30, according to The State

'We get kids we have to intubate — we have to breathe for them because they drank so much or got into some drugs,' one nurse said

 And it doesn't matter how drunk students are when they arrive because they still have to be treated

Federal law requires emergency rooms to treat anyone who comes to the ER. The problem doesn't just affect the nurses, it also affects EMTs

  Once EMTs respond to a call about a drunk student, they are unable to leave the scene to treat someone with a more serious injury

In order to alleviate the issue, there is a university program that screens students to determine whether or not they're at risk for continued drinking

 According to the State, the students are then set up with 'motivational interviews' with counselors who help them get their behavior under control

University research sniffs out how the Black Country smells - Duration: 1:53.

This particular research project looks into smell, it's really engaging with the

idea that we live in a regime of Hygiene in modern culture whereby our sensory

awareness is really being tampered with, particularly the sense of smell and the

idea that we are masking smells, scenting public spaces and body odours really has

a particular effect on our sensory experience. It has been changing since

the post-war period and we want to map that kind of process, that evolution

towards the 21st century where we have a different palette. I have memories of the

brewery and the smells. I can never pinpoint what the smell actually is. I

went to school right next to Goodyear's so the smell of rubber is

another big one for me. We know that smells play a really

important role in memory, they help us unlock very early childhood memories,

they help us unlock emotional memories so it seems very likely that smells

that are very specific to a region will be particularly important.

We've designed a fairly interactive task where people are going to be given

different smells, some of these smells are going to be fairly general, some of

them are going to be specific to the Black Country and they're going to just

sample the smell and then try and recall a memory from their own life and rate it

on different dimensions like how vivid is the memory or how emotional is the memory.

I'm a writer and my particular interest is writing about a sense of place to do

with the Black Country and so everything that I write is, it's got that kind of

sense of culture, that sense of Black Country culture. My role is to

translate the way that the smells and memories link and to make it clear about

how those things relate to the Black Country culture.

Libraries we're excited to have you come visit any of our four special collection

reading rooms here on campus. All visiting researchers will be required to

create an account and make their requests online. So today we're going to

show you how to create that account and make your first request. From the Special

Collections homepage click the button that says "access your patron account"

Select the patron type that applies to you.

Read through the policies and procedures before agreeing to the terms and conditions for use of special

collection materials. Fill the form making sure to complete all the required

fields which are marked with the red star. Congratulations your account has

been set up and now you can request some materials. Anytime you want to make a

request log in to your patron account. Select new request from the left-hand

menu. Choose the type of material you want to request. Add as much detail as

you can and be sure to complete all required fields, again marked with the

red stars. Schedule the date of your visit by clicking on the calendar icon.

Patrons are limited to six active requests at once.
