The service provides advice, support and services for students with a variety of

impairments, disabilities and medical conditions. The university is supporting

me through note takers support, test support and also through having

automatic doors around the university so that it allows me to access my classes.

They facilitate the needs that I'm no longer able to meet myself, little

things like test arrangements, plus they've got a new initiative with some

tactile strips so it makes it easier for me approaching stairs, less likely to

wander off them so to speak. So I am given access to a large variety

of softwares, mostly drag and natural speak and read and write gold. Drag and natural

speak allows me to talk to my computer which is really useful because

it makes use of my oratory skill, other ways with disability which is I struggle

with writing. The University [of Waikato] has supported me by helping me get in touch with

people who will support me such as group therapy.

I'd encourage you to register with us as soon as possible,

through the website you could download the registration form and complete it

or just come in and meet with us and complete the registration form here.

He would touch her and do things with her.

Aurora police were involved, and they wanted to do a forensic interview. That's

how we got involved with Sungate.

The group sessions I think really help

because it was other kids - a similar age that had similar situations in their

lives. So, she didn't feel like she was all alone... in the world.

We can't do our work without our community support.

So, we count on you to help us help children

heal and recover.

Am I ready to provide NDIS services? - Duration: 2:30.

[Music plays]

(Narrator) If you choose to register

as a National Disability Insurance Scheme, or NDIS, provider,

many new opportunities will become available to you

and your organisation.

You'll be part of an exciting moment of change in Australia's history.

Before you register as an NDIS provider,

you'll need to understand how the NDIS works

and what the requirements are for providers.

This overview explains how to figure out if you're eligible

to provide NDIS services,

along with how to start the registration process,

as outlined in Section Two of the Provider Toolkit.

The Provider Readiness Checklist is a very useful tool

that you'll find in Section Two.

The Checklist outlines the things you need to do

to prepare to register for the NDIS.

It's a good idea to print this Checklist

and tick it off as you complete each step.

This section gives a brief overview of the steps it takes

to get ready for registration.

If you read this,

the whole registration process will be much easier to follow

and you'll be far more likely to have all the key information ready

before you start.

As you work through it you will develop a better understanding

of the process including what participants are seeking

from the NDIS and NDIS providers,

whether the supports and services you provide are part of the NDIS,

whether the NDIS is already operating in your area

or when it is going to be rolled out,

how to assess and build your organisation's capacity

to be part of NDIS,

what the formal requirements are for registered providers,

what you will have to do to become a registered provider,

how much you will get paid and how payment works.

While you have to put in a bit of work before you can register,

when you register as an NDIS provider

a whole new world of opportunities to connect with NDIS participants

will open up for you and your organisation.

Remember that you can refer to the Key Resources

and Help and Support sections for more information at any time.

Wherever you are in the provider pathway,

we hope this Toolkit helps you understand the NDIS better,

and what you have to do to make it a success.

Spiritual Care Services Petition - Duration: 1:36.

Thank You Mr. speaker it's my pleasure today to rise to present a petition on

to calling the government to reinstate funding and support for the spiritual

care programs in this provinces health care facilities. These citizens wish to

bring to your attention that Spiritual Care helps patients and their families

toward achieving holistic wellness and that Saskatchewan will be the only

province with within Canada to not fund this support for its citizens. That

spiritual care provides a compassionate listening presence in times of crisis

and the ability to respond to the spiritual and emotional needs of

patients. That spiritual care supports families and patients and making

difficult decisions. That it meets the needs of traditional First Nations Inuit

and Metis people. That professional non denominational non faith specific

spiritual care practitioners facilitate patience in obtaining comfort and

support from within their own faith traditions. That local clergy and

volunteers are only able to minister to patients from their own congregations

and denominations and without professional non denominational non

faith specific spiritual care practitioners some patients have no one

to meet their spiritual care needs. I'd like to read the prayer, we in the prayer

that reads as follows respectfully requests that the Legislative Assembly

of Saskatchewan reinstate funding and support for Spiritual Care programs in

this provinces health care facilities. This petition is signed by individuals

from Osler and Saskatoon Mr Speaker I do so present.
