reply "What are your greatest strengths?"

question.

I am also sharing with you 3 adaptable examples, which could serve you as inspiration while

putting up together your own response.

"What are your strengths?" is a classic interview question, it seems simple, but it isn't.

It requires a balance between not appearing too humble and underselling your achievements

or skills, and between selling yourself too much, coming across arrogant and self-interested.

This is the main reason why most candidates don't answer well.

Let's prepare to this question properly and turn it into a great advantage.

"What are your biggest strengths?"

question can also be asked in other similar ways:

What are you good at and how would you apply that to this role?

What do you feel sets you apart from the competition?

What would your colleagues say you bring to a team?

What accomplishments are you most proud of?

ETC...

The interviewer wants to know how would your strengths translate to the job you've applied

for.

It is your moment to demonstrate this connection and reassure them in being a strong candidate.

Important checklist before we proceed to full examples:

1.

Analyze yourself and be honest with your answer.

Choose strengths that you actually possess.

Knowing your strengths will serve you well in job interviews and in the rest of your

life too.

Keep it to a couple of strengths, so it will make yours preparation easier.

It's about your strengths and not the achievements, make sure you separate them.

2.

Take a close look at the job description, figure out what the job requires and what

is important to the company.

The idea is being honest and giving the company what they respond best to.

Demonstrate your ability to settle into the job faster and perform better than other candidates.

Don't raise any red flags!

Saying that your greatest strength is the ability to show up on time, for example, would

not do you any favours.

3.

Prepare Specific and Detailed Examples:

Giving a detailed example makes your answer powerful.

Don't wait for the interviewer to ask you to elaborate on your strengths.

Many times they won't.

Talk about how you used this strength to achieve a specific result.

Be prepared for the follow up questions like: How did you use this strength in your previous

role?

For example.

Here are a few examples some of which can easily be adapted to your profile.

Customer Service related example: "I feel I am really customer oriented, I am

good in interacting with people and helping them solve their doubts or problems, whether

it's in person, on the phone, via email or online messaging.

I've been an online customer service manager for over 2 years, and I enjoy dealing with

people around the whole world.

My employer has high standards for customer satisfaction.

My team and I have been trained to defuse angry customers so they can be helped and,

even be satisfied with our services.

We are measured on how satisfied people are after they've spoken to us, and if they purchase

additional products and services as a result of our interactions.

I'm proud to say that my team and I are among the leaders within the company."

Examples about leadership: "I pride myself on my leadership and my

team management skills.

My leadership skills had always come natural, I managed to develop them through supervising

junior team members with a guidance of my former manager.

Leadership is necessary to keep project teams moving in the right direction.

Finishing projects on-time, on-budget, and meeting both technical and business requirements

took substantial planning and management skills.

Especially when half of the team members didn't directly report to me.

I've been an IT project manager for over 4 years, managing 9 major projects at this time

frame.

All those projects are completed on schedule and were considered successes.

I also trained 4 team members so they were promoted to project management positions.

"My greatest strength is my diplomacy.

I had never thought of this as a strength until my managers pointed it out to me.

Once they did, I realized it's a skill I can use to benefit everyone involved on the

job.

Recently, I helped to resolve a situation which was about to go very badly.

We had a client make so many demands which seemed unreasonable to our team that we were

about to finish our collaboration.

Our team and the client were feeling despair over this situation.

Through face-to-face meetings that I arranged with all 20 people involved, we were able

to re-establish a good relationship and get the project back on track.

I was awarded an "Employee of the Year Award" for my efforts to delay the firing and for

saving this collaboration."

Generic Example: I have very strong communication skills.

Whether it is over the phone, in person, or written, I tend to express myself in a clear

and concise manner.

I received several positive feedbacks from my manager for solving difficult situations

with my strong communication skills, and I even got an acknowledgment in the company

newsletter for just being really good at talking to clients.

I think this strength will help me to do well on the job since being a receptionist requires

interfacing with individuals from different backgrounds.

I'll be able to make each person feel welcome and that their business is valued.

Keep it short and to the point.

Practice a couple of times before the interview to make a stronger impact and to answer with

confidence.

you need to do is think of your question that you would like answered it can be

anything you wish to know about and you can choose either the number or the

crystal in front of the cards I'll give you a few moments to decide which one

will answer your question if you chose this one this is your answer now the

first card will describe the energy that's surrounding you and this question

at the moment and it's four of Pentacles ordinary

this question that you have in mind relates to something that you perceive

inhibit your growth if you hang on to that so when you get back what you need

forgive the other person and move on but I think you will get what you are

you will get what you wish what you want and when you believe this way a

positive outcome for you and it looks like a choice between something or

another you've got a choice on one hand and the other one on the other so it's

going to come down to choosing what is actually the one that you really want

and an action card is balance taking everyone's input into consideration

merge viewpoints to create a better solution take your time there's no need

to rush so again it comes down to a choice that you need to make and that

will determine the outcome for you and

another card is reflection so again it's actually thinking about the choice

before you and which one's the best one for you but you know it says here who so

loves believes the impossible so what you are looking for what your

questioning is possible and the answer is communicate clearly so of these two

choices communicate what you really want and it will be possible

and if you chose this one this is your answer to your question whatever it may

be and the energy around you at the moment there's a three of cups those who

comes down to your attitude at the moment and if you can remain optimistic

especially for those around you if you're disappointed in something don't

take it out on other people sort of remain optimistic and show other

people that you have the upper hand here that you are in control of whatever this

question is so stay positive and others will reciprocate more positively and the

another action card for you don't let others coerce you into a decision you

know in your heart what the right choice is so peers sometimes can influence a

decision so if you remain positive and know exactly what you want you'll get

what you need from this situation and magician you are ready you have the

resources or the ability to manifest them life is magical so you know exactly

what you want and so don't allow other people to coerce you into making a

decision that isn't right for you but remain positive and those around you

will see that you mean business that you know exactly what you want and you'll be

going after it because it's what you want it's what you need and the answer

is remain positive so again it all comes down to that to your attitude to this

situation this question that you're asking so remain positive and I think

you will have a beneficial outcome so hope that's answered questions for

Answer to curse of Japanese knotweed: It can be 'eaten into submission', says former Gardener's Worl - Duration: 7:01.

If Japanese knotweed has invaded your garden, it is likely you have tried ­everything short of a nuclear holocaust to get rid of it

But one gardening expert claims to have the key to taming the unwanted plant without resorting to chemicals or putting your house up for sale: eating it

Despairing home owners should stop laying down weedkiller and ­instead create some tasty knotweed recipes, advises Alys Fowler

"Japanese knotweed is edible. In ­Japan it is a delicacy," she said. "It's very delicious

You really have to make sure you're eating it from a source that doesn't have any herbicide on it because clearly that's problematic

But, oh my God, eat it. Eat it into submission. It's very easy to eat Japanese knotweed into ­submission

" Knotweed is said to taste like rhubarb, and should be cooked in the same way. ­Eating the plant will keep it under control while also being kind to the environment and insect life, Ms Fowler ­explained

Himalayan balsam, another highly invasive species, can also be a source of food, she told an audience at the Hay Festival

The plant has seeds pods that "pop", dispersing seeds several metres away. "The seed is actually ­delicious and nutty

If you learn to put your hand over it when it pops, you could just eat your way through the crop," Ms Fowler said

"Himalayan balsam is very problematic because it takes over the riverbank and it's a very aggressive species

"But the reality is, if you're a bumblebee, you are so happy in August when those flowers are out because they are a really good source of nectar

" The former Gardeners' World presenter urged home owners to leave weeds alone, for the sake of bees and other wildlife

"We do need people, if they care about bees, to become messy ­gardeners," she said

"You really do have to have a change of attitude and thought. We have to look at biodiversity and what that means [rather than] what we think looks good

That goes for gardens as well as for verges. "These very weed-free environments turn out to be very bad for the ecosystem because weeds are the best plants for pollinators

"In bad weather they are consistent. One of the reasons they are weeds is that they're really good growers when everything else is having a bad time

"The other thing that is very typical of a weed is that it flowers repeatedly. Dandelions have their major period in May and June but they will also flower again in the autumn, so you have this long period of flowering which is really important for insects

"We sow these wild flower meadows which may only have a short period of having a load of food

"If you're really hungry, ­being taken to a banquet and being told you can eat as much as you like for three weeks but then you're not going to see that banquet again until next year is not super useful

" Japanese knotweed was ­introduced to Britain in the mid-19th century, when it was considered to be a harmless addition to the ornamental garden

Invasive species | Japanese knotweed But the plant spreads at an alarming rate and is almost ­impossible to kill, with roots spreading up to 23ft (7m) and posing a risk to building foundations

Last year, a couple who bought a seaside property in Cornwall sued the pensioner who sold it to them 15 years earlier after finding knotweed on the property

Under the 1981 Wildlife and Countryside Act it is an offence to introduce Japanese knotweed into the wild, and householders are advised to dispose of it either by burying or burning it

The stems are the edible part of the plant, not the leaves, and connoisseurs recommend eating them in April and May before they become woody

As with rhubarb, they should be cooked.

cool so how did you do hopefully that wasn't so bad

I'm guessing you spent at least 20 minutes trying to figure this out if you

spent more of course not a problem this was it wasn't an easy exercise but it

was a medium style exercise but of course you're learning new skills so it

may have taken you a little extra time and if you went through it and actually

got it working that's fantastic that's one of the most important skills to have

is to be able to persevere through failures because they're very common

with selenium-webdriver especially as we're learning and writing

test automation so here's my solution keep in mind that your implementation

may have differed from mine as long as your logical reasoning made sense and

was similar to mine you should be ok the locators all that kind of stuff there's

you know obviously many different directions that we could have gone I'll

tell you why I made the decisions that you made and if you think that your

decisions were better and that's cool your implementation could be better but

if not you can kind of use my logic to help guide you in the future so standard

opening up ultimateqa.com not a problem of course we had to maximize the

window because if you didn't and you have a small size window my browser my

website is responsive so all the links disappear and so you get this kind of

style of navigation so anything after that would make everything really hard

so you got to make sure that you maximize your browser then after that I

set a web driver wait and then I already told you which element to sync on and

that was that image that I forget what it was called but it was that image that

was one of the last elements to load so all I did was use its class name that

was a unique class on that page and I synchronized to make sure that the

element is visible waiting for a maximum of 5 seconds so once that element is

visible we can perform the next action for the next action I chose to do

another expected and other explicit wait the reason I chose to do that was

because I know that after that element loaded there

several other there was several other elements that were loading let's show

that again the waterfall chart in the network let me refresh my page so as you

can see there's a lot of stuff going on here there's stuff going on here and

stuff going on here as well that's taking extra time and the element that

we found it was a JPEG I believe give it a second

keep it safe and just use another implicit explicit wait and so I use an

explicit wait using by link text for the automation exercises which are right

there so I was looking for an element found with link text so you know worst

case if it's already there we just proceed if not it will wait for an extra

five seconds which is better than a flakey failure next we went to the

automation exercises page here I looked at the waterfall chart and then I was

able to see that actually it's funny because now the waterfall chart looks

different then I saw it before but I chose to synchronize on the header text

because actually when I analyzed it the waterfall chart was pretty similar we're

actually all of the elements were loading almost simultaneously I wonder

if it's because I had it cached I'm not sure but when I looked at it almost all

the elements were loading at the exact same time so I just chose an obvious one

which was to use the header that contains the text automation practice

and then once the header was loaded and now seeing the waterfall chart again it

may have been a mistake I might have wanted to synchronize on something else

and I'm actually looking for something else here

maybe this Amazon PNG or Oh or maybe yeah maybe that Amazon P&G could have

been good this one right here let's see yeah maybe this Amazon PNG could have

been one of the better elements so that was possibly it could be improved on

mind but after I synchronized on that I clicked the link with link text called

big page with many elements and then after that I did a final synchronization

which was checking for this image called girl with laptop so that was happening

somewhere towards the bottom here let's keep looking

um trying to see it and give me as oh it's down here all the way at the bottom

you can see girl with laptop JPEG Soho there's girl looking at a laptop so that

was an element that I chose to synchronize on why because it's one of

the last elements to load in our waterfall chart on our website so using

the title I was obviously able to nope sorry about that I was able to go into

elements and then using control laughs I was able to search for a girl - with

laptop so here I have that element you can see that this element actually has a

title which is great and then I used the title which is girl with laptop - and so

that was the title that I searched for and then I just had an assertion that

that element was displayed and so that was the test with proper synchronization

if I run it for you which is always the funnest part no I shouldn't have debug

this but I should ran it but it doesn't matter if I run it for you you'll see

that the test runs successfully all the synchronization points have been placed

well and I believe that whatever environment this test runs in it will

not fail because all the synchronization points are in the appropriate conditions

so we can just take a look here it's gonna expand the browser as you see is

gonna click the automation exercises it's waiting for it to load as you saw

now it's waiting for this page to load as well and then it's closed because

everything on the page is loaded and we get a green checkmark saying that our

test has passed so if you did it congratulations you've successfully

mastered synchronization now just continue to apply these techniques to

the rest of your automation tests
