So there seems to be similarities with

the way in which mothers manage family related material and photos both on and

offline so in the research that I've been doing I've been interviewing

mothers about their uploads family photos and status updates to social

media and it seems that their postings respond to particular relational

concerns and practices about doing family in everyday life so for example

in Western culture the notion of togetherness is really central to the

way in which we understand and do family and this was reflected in how women were

talking about their their general uploads to social media so for example

they chose photos that reflected family togetherness so when all members of a

particular family were in the frame and what was important to this is that it

was the notion of togetherness that was prioritized over other things that we

might worry about when we're posting photos online so for example how we look

so what was being prioritized is a genuineness or authentic nurse about the

closeness of that family unit and what was particularly interesting is that the

mothers some of the mothers reported that their children were asking for

family self is what this seemed to point to is that doing family selfies were not

just a reflection or a representation of family togetherness but was an actual

practice of doing familial intimacy what the mothers also talked about was the

way that social media can generate quite negative judgment and in contrast to how

the phenomenon of sharenting is generally positioned the uploader family

material the mother's talked about the photos or

happy family photos and status updates is a

relatively safe thing to post about and seem to mitigate the idea of negative

judgment about these postings so the women discussed kind of the happy family

photo is quite resistant to criticism and they talked about the number of

likes so family photos generated quite what they saw as a high number of likes

and positive comments compared to other kinds of postings so it seems that the

posting of this kind of happy family material was in some respects a

defensive reaction toward against accusations of showing off get more from

For the youngsters

under the supervision of 5 village panchayat's,

a grand Jallikattu is about to start.

Before this even if we were not allowed inside the ground, we used to catch the bull.

But if they conduct it now...

After father it is son, might be suited for politics.

It won't suit for everything.

In bullock

which will be suited for cart

and which will be suited for Jallikattu, I also know.

Letting us in Jallikattu,

is like prepping a goat before sacrifice.

I know on sacrificing whom this problem will come to an end.

Buddy, is this girl okay for you?

I feel that girl loves you.

In the opposite even if it is God of death,

we must stand bravely and ask him what is the problem.

Only a man knows that "Jallikattu" is a game.

How will the bull know?

If anyone touches our bull,

the one who touched, shouldn't have his hand on his shoulder.

If a "Jallikattu" that got stopped due to a death will start only after a death,

let it be my death.

"Lord bless the cattle of our village"

"Kotta Karupa please come to us, Kotta Karupa please come to us."

Retail 4.0: Success with the Digital Supermarket. - Duration: 4:43.

It's 8 a.m. at Jens Jänecke's supermarket in Adendorf:

Today, I reckon, we'll have more customers than this time last year. That is an indication of the work ...

... we have put in in the meantime, and the trend has certainly been very stable.

You can't hear it, you can't feel it, but it's plain to see on the evolutionary ladder of the retail trade that the pulse of ...

... Jens Jänecke's supermarket now beats only in ones and zeroes. This is an all-digital supermarket.

We have really made progress as time goes by.

Basically, Mr Jänecke is going great guns with his store.

Eike Folkerts advises him on how to digitize the supermar-ket, starting with down-to-earth basics:

What is the status quo? Where do we start from? On that basis we drew up with Mr Jänecke, the store manager, ...

... a plan – a big picture of what needs to be done. The main solutions we have since installed include wireless LAN to offer the customers a free WiFi service.

The second take from the bag of tricks that is digitization is customer flow analysis. T-Systems set it up to illustrate ...

... how customers make their way around the store.

In certain areas we can see cold zones – zones with a low customer frequency – and we can work on them with a high level of precision.

An even smarter idea is to direct customers to the right places – ideally of their own volition:

We are providing navigation within the store, which at over 4,000 square meters can be relatively confusing if you don't know ...

... your way around, and we are trying to digitize it so that customers can use the navigation on their smartphones.

The NAVVIS system creates from laser measurements and thousands of high-resolution panoramic views a digital map that is ...

... the basis of the indoor navigation. NAVVIS is a part of the Telekom Technischer Service Scan&Service package.

The idea behind it is that we digitize the store and on that basis provide the customer with a kind of indoor navigation.

And T-Systems relies on smartphones in another context.

Joachim von Beesten sees authorization-based access by electronic key as making work much easier for employees.

Time is no longer wasted searching for keys.

We are digitizing both access management and identity.

The system is child's play: log into the WiFi outside the door, launch the app and tap on the display to open the door.

It just makes life easier. Think of yourself. How often do you forget your cellphone? You are likelier to leave a key at home.

Many people are accustomed to using smartphones in their private lives, which is why using a work smartphone ...

... for work purposes is no longer a serious problem at all.

Whoever has previously been responsible for issuing, collecting and checking keys simply clicks on Authorizations in the portal to add or revoke permissions.

In other words, full- or part-time employees, workmen and suppliers can even be authorized on an hourly basis. And if something is lost I can simply cancel ...

... the authorization in the portal and don't have to replace the entire lock system.

It's ideal for night-time deliveries too. They used to require extra personnel, but not any longer.

For the store manager the solutions implemented so far are not enough. He has long understood the potential of digitization.

There is much more we can do. In the area of sensor technology, for example, which we have not yet considered. The Internet of Things ...

... is one of our big strategic issues. And we and Mr Jänecke are naturally looking into how sensor technology can help him – on the shelves, for instance.

The idea is to "connect" a shelf so that the retailer knows exactly how much stock is left on it. That indicates which ...

... products are in demand, which need to be refilled and which are frequently put back on the shelf.

Digitization is changing the retail business fundamentally.

Getting the transfer right – between what the customer expects today and what worked successfully yesterday – ...

... is for many, I believe, a major challenge.

Retailers don't need to be apprehensive about opting for digitization. We help them at every step on the journey.

And the transformation of the Marktkauf here in Adendorf shows just how easy digitization can be.

✅ Digital number plates: are they a privacy concern and will they come to the UK? - Duration: 3:40.

California has become the first US state to roll out trials of a new digital number plate system that aims to help police track stolen cars and improve the vehicle registration process

The plates, which have been developed by San Francisco tech firm Reviver Auto, will go on sale in dealerships for $699 (£525) if the trials are successful, The Sacramento Bee says

There will also be a monthly fee of $7 (£5) to operate the device.Sacramento became the first city to test the number plates, the newspaper says, when the local council ordered 24 examples to trial on "its in-house vehicle fleet"

Video of Reviver Auto OverviewAccording to Fortune, the system uses technology similar to Amazon's Kindle e-reader, where users can choose between either a light or dark background

When the vehicle is moving, the digital plate displays the registration number of the vehicle just like a conventional plate, the website says

But when the car comes to a halt, the number shrinks and moves to the top right corner of the display

Users can also customise the display with a personal image or message that will show when the car is stationary

Digital Trends says the digital number plate could streamline the annual vehicle registration process in the state

As it stands, car owners in California are required to register their cars on a yearly basis and display a small sticker on their number plates once they have paid, the tech site says

The digital plate can be updated automatically, meaning vehicle owners don't need to place the mandatory sticker on their car to show it has been registered

Are the plates a privacy concern? They certainly are. This is because the device's built-in GPS chip makes it easier for the authorities to track a person's car - or number plate - if it is stolen

Although the ability to track a vehicle wirelessly "may be ideal for fleet owners", The Verge says, "individual drivers may balk at the idea"

Some are concerned the plates could be vulnerable to hackers, but the Daily Mail says Reviver Auto has fitted the futuristic registration device with cyber security systems that are similar to those used for online banking

The newspaper adds that a future update will allow the number plates to "display targeted advertising on parked vehicles", although this is "pending approval from the California DMV [Department of Motor Vehicles]"

Will they come to the UK?Not in the near future, it seems. That's according to a spokesperson for the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), who told Autocar that there are no plans to introduce the system into the UK any time soon, as the present system "works effectively"

California testing digital license plates that cost more than your first car - Duration: 3:56.

The technology that powers Amazon's Kindle is coming to your bumper — at least if you

live in California and are willing to pay a not-insignificant amount of money for it.

The Golden State launched a pilot program in its capital of Sacramento to test a digital

license plate that ambitiously promises to streamline the lives of motorists, help businesses

reach more clients, and possibly keep fellow drivers entertained.

The device looks like a large, license plate-sized tablet.

It is, in a way, except it's not touch-sensitive.

It's equipped with its own battery and computer chip, and it looks just like a standard-issue

California plate in its most basic configuration.

The vehicle's registration number appears front and center, along with information about

when the car's registration expires, California's script logo, and a link to the DMV's website.

Users can change the color of the font or the background and display short messages

directly below the registration number.

If the car is parked, they can also move the registration number to a corner and display

a much larger message, like an advertisement.

The Sacramento Bee reports digital license plates could let motorists renew their registration

without having to place a sticker on their car's rear license plate.

Police officials can also use the license plate to track a stolen car, though this becomes

a moot point if the thief removes the plate and tosses it in a ditch.

As you'd expect, the technology isn't cheap.

Reviver Auto, the California-based company that designed and manufactures the plates,

charges $699 for the device.

That figure doesn't include the cost of installation and the $7 monthly fee users

need to pay.

Motorists must purchase the plates from authorized dealerships; they're not available through

the DMV like standard-issue license plates.

To date, 11 new car dealerships have signed up to sell the digital license plate.

One is in Sacramento, three are in the San Francisco area, and the rest are located in

or near Los Angeles.

Arizona will soon approve use of the plates as part of a pilot program.

There's no word yet on when (or if) other states will allow the technology on their

roads.

Reviver Auto founder Neville Boston acknowledges the technology is expensive, but he argues

it's an investment that makes sense for certain users.

Speaking to the Sacramento Bee, he explained that companies and local governments will

look into the technology to manage their fleet of vehicles.

It could also attract businesses who want to use the plate as their own mini billboard.

And Sacramento officials purchased 24 digital license plates as part of a pilot program

designed to prepare for real-world testing of autonomous cars.

"The city envisions using this technology as a way to help the deployment of autonomous

cars.

If we can actually have a platform for us to see where the cars are operating, how they're

operating, and get reports back about vehicle miles traveled and locations, and we can actually

geo-fence certain areas and restrict them to certain areas of the city; that's how

we envision using this plate," explained Louis Stewart, the city's chief innovation

officer.

On the other side of the globe, Dubai launched a similar pilot program in a bid to make life

easier for drivers.
