Auto news on Youtube Jun 30 2018

Hi guys welcome to sons of cane on this week's video we will see three vital

points from that chair position

those of you who do pressure points although you may not of heard about vital points some of these aren't part of a pressure

point system they're called vital points if you ever read the bubushi

there's a nice in-depth study in that what we're not going to do is give you

all the Chinese or the Japanese names or the pressure point designations for some

of them we're just gonna lay it down so it's easier for you to remember so what

we're looking at is the vital points some of you may have done pressure point

theory interesting subject we're quite into it not for everybody

these are the vital points so some of them are pressure points some of them

are not for kev's journey we're looking at the first three part of his first

grading we're not gonna use the Chinese or Japanese designations but just gonna

use them as you would to a layman on the street so what we're going to be looking

at the first three vital points from the bubushi if you're into pressure

point theory Kyushu Jitsu you'll understand why I'm saying if not what

we're gonna do is use layman's terms rather than the Chinese or Japanese

designations so the first one I'm going to be looking at is the instep bring in

your cane down you can see it's just behind the big toe instep area of the

foot the second one we're going to be looking at is on the thigh put your hand

on my thigh or your fingertips end on that area here we've got a nice spot here we

call it the dead leg spot you might know it as gallbladder thirty two the third

one we're going to be looking at needs no introduction

it's the groin so for the first strike what we're looking at is basically a

simple downward poke so Kevs sitting in the chair I might be here it doesn't matter

what it is altercation I've got my foot conveniently forward this time my focus

is be here when that comes up I'm going to

be thinking about probably about my head but always it is a simple straight down onto

the toe okay nice and simple straightforward but very painful so as

you can see from that one it's very difficult to practice so what I did is I

put a focus mit over my foot just to give you an idea get a bit of focus bit

of accuracy training and then it gives you a bit of a sense of realism to the

drill so the second one were looking at is going to be for the thigh so again it

comes up it's doing on the cross strike so this will be a number two strike or

number one strike depending on which way you're coming around for the wheelchair

be number one because of the specific for the opposition so it's just across

the body into the thigh okay again well done I've got nice target here so it gives

you a little bit of accuracy little bit of oomph okay so always try and go for a

bit more realism rather than just a gentle tap get a feel for what it is to

actually strike somebody else tried something remember guys in the 12 cane

strikes Chris went through how to hit the pad and the three different

techniques if you haven't seen it we'll put a little link in the descriptions

and look at that okay last one is the groin and this will be a number 11

strike so again I'm here it could be anything going on okay even if I see it

coming there's not a lot I can do and if I was

try to flex get out the way I was just presented a target but again to get a

little bit of oomph in there I'm gonna use this as a target and hopefully

protect myself okay ill stand a little bit further back

again doesn't require a lot of force on this one but again it's very is getting

angle and the power from that short distance is really important practice this strike

as you see I'm just lifting the cane at the moment the strike exactly this but

because Chris isn't wearing a box because I need him for next weekend

it's just a gentle flick but in real life if one step it's that nasty okay so

what you're looking at you could do it as a sequence drill down on the foot flick

round to the side and then into the groin so again always practice the flow

because your first strike may not work you first technique might wanna work

rather than stop it flow on to the next one so at this stage keep practicing

work through your mistakes remember guys both hands we only do the right hand

just because of the time constraints that we have on our video sessions so we

remember the practice both hands don't forget to subscribe and don't forget the

How To Show Up As Your Best Self Around People You Don't Like or Annoy You - Duration: 9:20.

Hello and welcome to this episode of "Carmen's Coaching Corner". My name is

Carmen Payne and I am the owner and creator of SOAR! Transformational Life

Caching if you've never watched these videos before the purpose of these

videos is to provide you with tools, tips, information, and techniques on how to

create your new reality. And before I begin this episode I just want to say to

everybody who watch the last one. Thank you very much for watching it, and all

the comments that you left me. It's really encouraging to see how many

people watched, or viewed the video, so thank you, thank you thank you, from the

bottom of my heart, and I'm really really grateful, so thank you. This episode is

about switching the script, or switch the script. And what do I mean by that? So we

all have people in our lives that we don't always necessarily look forward to

having an interaction with, and we are literally, and it could be a meeting

situation, it could be a family members situation, a friend situation, and do you

find yourself literally scripting the conversation in your head that you're

going to have with this person and it's usually the worst case scenario,

especially if you're not looking forward to the interaction. And so you find

yourself possibly arguing in your head with this person, getting ready to defend

yourself, getting ready to fight, and you haven't even met them yet right. So

you're telling yourself this story about how the conversation is going to go, and

you you're not even there yet. So if you find yourself doing this, this process is

for you, and it's a four-step process. So the first step of this process is to set

the scene. You are going to pretend that you are a playwright and you get to

write however this script is going to go. Right? You are the star actor, you

basically are the screenwriter of this of this show. And so you're going to set

the scene, and that means you're going to set in your in your mind's eye, or on

paper where is it happening, who are the actors in that scene, what time of day is

it happening in the day of the week, what is the temperature

like, really setting the backdrop for this script. And step two is you write

the script. Now you can do this scripting in your head, or I really recommend that

you go grab a piece of pen and paper and you write the script

out. So how do you want the conversation to go? What is the outcome that you want

from this conversation? What are the results?

Who do, you know, how do you want other people to respond to you during this

conversation, and you know it's like I said respond and not react. There's a big

difference between the two and as you're writing this script before you even put

pen to paper, or start doing the dialogue in your head, I want you to take a deep

breath in and out, and feel that breath going from your breath from your

mouth all the way down into your heart space. And you need to do that at least

two or three times and then write the script. You don't want to write the

script from your headspace because all you're going to be is in reactionary

mode. When you're writing it from your heart space you're a much different

place when you write and I bet you if you've just done that breath with me you

already feel a little bit more calmer. Breathing as an amazing exercise in

itself. So you basically write the script in step two. Step three is you

play out the script. You have the background scene. You have the

conversation in your head with the other actors in in the script with you and as

you're checking, as you're playing out the script in your head, check in with

yourself. How are you really showing up? Are you showing up from your heart space?

Are you still a little bit on the defensive, or ready to fight? Or just

feeling like this is out of my control? So really check in with yourself. And then

step four is replay the script. Right? You get to create this script, so you can

make as many adjustments as you want because you are the star of the show.

So replay the script, and replay it until it really resonates with you, until you

really feel it, and you're immersed in it. I really want you to imagine yourself

having this conversation in your mind's eye with these other people, with the

person that you're having that conversation with, and just really feel into it so that it

really sits and resonates with you in your body. And the brilliant thing about

this process is, what it does is it takes you from feeling unempowered

enough, and possibly feeling that this situation isn't in control, to being in

control, and much more empowered about the situation. It helps to reduce your

stress. It helps you to go into that interaction with some grace. It helps you

to be calm, and it just coming from that place you are automatically going to be

able to think a lot clearer when people start asking you questions, or throw

things at you during that meeting because you're not up here worried

worried worried freaking out freaking out, or I don't like the way this is

going and I'm getting pissed, to I'm coming from my heart space and I'm able

to have that conversation from here rather than from up here. And I can tell

you from my own personal experience, when I was managing customer projects and I

used to integrate customer IT systems with the company I was working for IT

systems, and sometimes I would get this part of the press project it had to be

done yesterday. I'd get on the first call with the customers sometimes with very

little information and my head would get ripped off. I mean I hadn't even opened

my mouth yet, but because they're looking at me as the person who's going to fix

things, I'm immediately the A-hole in the room. Right? I'm the cause of the problem

and I'm also the person that's responsible for fixing it. So this

process, when I started to implement it, really turned things around for me

because it changed completely how I showed up for these interactions, and I

can give you one example where I had a project and the stakeholders on the

projects were just, every time I get on the phone, they would just be laying into

me, laying into me, laying into me, and I've had enough. I just had enoug.h I'm

like I have to be able to change this reality somehow and then I learned about

this process, and so I came into the next interaction using this technique

and by the end of the project the amazing thing was was the guy who was

yelling, and screaming, freaking out on the phone ended up calling me out the

blue and saying to me, "Hey Carmen if you ever want a job. I have one for you." So

that's how powerful this technique can actually be because it really changes

your, how you show up for the interactions, and it then changes and

helps to change the behaviors of the other actors in the scene and how they

show up and they respond to you. So I strongly recommend you giving this a go

and it doesn't matter if it's face to face, on the phone in a WebEx whatever

the situation, on a webinar, whatever scenario is, how you how you show up is

really going to make a difference when you use this technique because as we now

know about fifty five percent of communication is nonverbal. And it always

amazes me when I read that because even when you're not communicating you're

communicating. And one of those aspectsof the nonverbal piece of it is the

vibration that the energy that you're giving off. Have you ever said, or heard

somebody say "I don't like the vibe that I'm getting from that person", you're

basically tapping into their nonverbal communication. So that's why this process

is so brilliant because you can take a completely different energy into that

interaction with you, and come from a real place of grace, and everybody's a

superstar by the end of it. So let me know if this process works for you. If

you have another suggestion for this scenario that you would like to share,

I'd really love to hear it, and as always in love and light, oh one thing I forgot

to mention is I have a free worksheet that goes with this video, and the video

that I shared last week. If you'd like that worksheet for this video, and the

one last week, please send me an email I'll put the email in the verbiage with

this video. I haven't figured out yet on Facebook how to attach documents I'm not

sure that you can, which is why I'm asking if you want it please

email me. No strings attached, it's a free resource to you just like these videos.

So let me know and once again in a love and light Carmen. To get started please

call, or email me, or schedule an appointment on my website

The Journey of Self Discovery - Duration: 6:21.

Who are you, who do you want to be?

I'm Matt, that's who I am What the F are we talking about here?

I know who I am, I'm Matt Stop confusing me

I'm not a starfish So this is my friend Matt, obviously

and I know him from like 2011, 2012 I think you're cooked

I think that whole time period is just one year for you

It was after 2012, it was probably more like 2014, start of 2014

Really?

Yeah.

Wow, I feel like I've known you way longer I know.

I'm starting to realize that I'm really starting to sound like a hippy

You've only been here for like a day man Just my ideals and stuff and what I say

If someone said that to me like you know love is love man

and they just like wear old clothes and like you know just what you imagine

in the whole you know tree loving hippy people

Yeah, because like everything else people sort of become right?

Like you sort of develop your identity but for me I accidentally became a hippy

because being a hippy for me was like not being anything

like you just stop you're just throwing shit away

but it is funny how these things are so easily like pigeon holed, categorized as like

and then there's the stereotypes of everything but I wouldn't ever consider myself a hippy

I wouldn't self identify like I know that everybody sees

a hippy sitting on this couch you know what I mean?

Yea, see I don't You don't see me as a hippy

No.

Oh wow.

Cool.

I'm just a regular dude Yea 100% - 100%

You did definitely have like a strong hippyish phase

Where I was actually But that was like

That was just more like self discovery That's healthy

Like everything else I had a punk rock phase

Yeah dude We all went through many different phases

and if you didn't, you're lying to yourself Yea absolutely

Whether it was obvious to everyone else Oh dude

Everyone remembers like the rebellious or the emo phase

It's like trying on different identities and finding what fits

like oh this is a good one for this This is a good one for that

That's how people like learn You're not, just because you do that one thing

doesn't mean that's your thing for life You're allowed to like try and be like

oh I actually, I like bits of it, I don't like all of it

keep trying different things until you find that thing

I love tie dye, that's what I've taken from Yea but like that doesn't

just because you love tie dye does that make you a hippy though?

Because maybe that's a thing that you know predominantly is known

In the iconography and stuff I don't know

I like just like if you like vegetable smoothie or something

does that then make you a vegan you know what I mean?

I dunno, just these little tropes If someone sees you drinking something like

that like oh that guys a vegan

and then you don't actually see him like 6 hours later

at like the pub eating like a chicken parmy or something

Some people like personally They strongly identify themselves as these

things but I find it more liberating to just like mix

and match Definitely, why would you want to be like

a meme or like so pigeon holed into like you're

this, this, this and this If you see those things and you're like that's

me I find it um it's like sort of robs you

of your identity Yea!

A lot because You're not, you're always trying to live up

to the expectations of the group that you've identified

yourself with and you're constantly learning like oh

I'm actually not in alignment with the groups like values

and the whole idea of any ism is to eliminate like ambiguity entirely

to simplify, simplify, simplify Do you want that, do you want to simplify

yourself?

Like I don't think so No

But there's, you learn valuable things from the groups

that do, like they're doing, they're doing a service

to society in a way because they're like cultivating like all of the knowledge of like

plant based eating like you could learn about it

Just take bits and pieces from everything I appreciate that they're there but

it's definitely not my thing to like go and attach my personal identity

to that I never wanna be like

that's my identity like Matt when someone says my name, Matt: vegan.

Like I don't want that to be like there shouldn't be a tag to that

like someone's like Matt Well what is Matt

Yeah.

Remember how we started the interview?

What?

I'm not a F starfish Yeah.

You should just be you and just be happy with you

and not what anyone else thinks that you should be

and so we what made like bulk You were just, you just wanted to create non

stop and had like ideas for everything and I was

like and I was at the point where I was just

I was like it's better than doing whatever I'm doing right now

Yeah, I feel like you were just soaking it up

like this is a good opportunity Just to do things - try shit

Yeah and um it was such a different

um perspective and way of doing film than what I was studying at the time

like there was this two completely different I was like the anarchy, like just chaos

like you can just, like punk rock sort of approach

to filmmaking Yeah, it was like

I was seeing this whole industry and the professional side

Sets and audio teams and all that but then like the whole just guerrilla filming

and doing it that way was also like really like liberating

and like exciting at the same time And that's what led me to documentaries

because that's essentially what eventually I realized that's what I was

You were trying to do that anyway You were almost doing that mini doccos

even with your Kyli stuff like that was essentially you trying to do like

these mini like kinda docco style stuff I just didn't know

You didn't.

Yeah.

10 Self Defence Tips You Need To Learn Now - Duration: 6:35.

Self-defense is the best way to save your neck in a tight spot.

We have heard incidents regarding mugging, burglaries and carjacking over the news multiple

times.

But we normally think that it won't happen to us, ever.

Unfortunately, no one is immune from attackers.

But that does not mean you need to invest in security or personal bodyguards to save

your ass.

Here are 10 self-defense help tips that we hope you'll never have to use in real life.

1.

Clench your hands the right way A fist is always the best option in a fight.

Most often this fact is ignored.

However, your hand automatically clenches into a fist, as a result of a stimulus, just

before a blow.

Keep in mind that you have to attack with full force without injuring your fingers.

Don't expose the thumb at any cost.

But bear in mind that it shouldn't be concealed under your fingers either.

This can lead to a fracture of the thumb.

Also, the force of the clench should not be too stiff or too loose.

If the grip and the clasp are too loose, then the impact of the punch will be less.

If it is stiff, then you could hurt yourself.

You should also use the flat of your hand in a fight.

That flat palm shove will come as more of a surprise.

Number 2.

How to break free if your hands are tied Focus on one thing, you need some space when

you are being bound by a rope, cord or a duct tape.

That way you can move your hands and legs.

What you need to do is leave some room for air.

If your hands are being tied, clench them tightly in fists.

If you are being bound by the body, then inhale in air so that your diaphragm expands.

The more room there is left between the rope hand or body, the more chances one has for

an escape.

This is what you need to do if you are being tied with a rope.

If your hands are bound by duct tape, you can simply tear it apart.

Don't believe us?

So here's how you do it.

Just raise your hands above your head, and then thrust them down with a lot of force.

This method can be applied even if your hands are bound from behind.

Sounds easy?

Then, start practicing.

Number 3.

Remember To Attack The Weak Yet Vital Spots Of The Attacker

If you lack the necessary strength to overwhelm your attacker, then you need this trick to

survive.

Try to incorporate the element of surprise.

Strike a blow as hard in the vulnerable areas.

Which are those areas, you ask?

The vital areas include eyes, nose, nape of the neck, throat chin and many more.

Hit as swiftly as you can.

A bit of delay and you could be overpowered.

Number 4.

Use Security Apps On The Smartphone This point applies to all women and children.

Smart phone apps such as Family Locator, bSafe, and others should always be downloaded on

the phone.

These apps will allow you to track the movements of your kith and kin.

These apps can aid you in sending out a distress signal if required.

In case you do not have a smartphone, then use the emergency number feature on your phone.

If your phone lacks this facility too, then keep all the important numbers on speed dial.

Number 5.

Keep Pepper Spray At Hand In case you are being trailed or you have

anticipated an attack, then Pepper Spray can help you to buy some precious time.

If you are lucky enough, you can use this opportunity to disarm your opponent or simply

throw him off track.

You can also use it as a part of an attack combo.

Just spray it and land a kick on the attacker's groin, then you can rush to the nearest police

station.

Number 6.

Using Code Language To Indicate Danger Or An Emergency

We all have used this trick in childhood.

Many of us invent code language and new words to send out secret signals to our near and

dear ones.

Though this seems illogical, it could increase the chances for you to save your life.

You can use this code for texting and alerting the concerned person.

Use the code to tell your predicament or your location.

But use it articulately so that your assistance reaches you in proper time.

Number 7.

Use Objects Lying Nearby As Props Random objects that could help you out of

a sticky situation are your defensive and offensive props.

If you are confused about this, then allow us to elaborate by giving examples.

Your purse can serve as a shield from a knife assault.

Your scarf can be thrown in an attacker's face.

Umbrellas, bags, and even small change in your pocket can be of help.

Keys are one of the best tools.

Don't waste time trying searching for a knuckleduster, use the lid of the trash can

if it is at hand.

Number 8.

How To Escape From Various Types Of Grasps You can escape from a hand grip by using this

trick.

Rotate your hand toward the attacker's thumb.

Remember that you should do it in a quick, sharp jerk.

If the assailant realizes your plan, he'll squeeze your hand with all his strength.

You can also use your legs to hit your attacker in the groin and knees.

Step on his feet with as much force as you can.

If you've been grabbed by the hair, then this technique could be useful.

It would allow you to inflict pain on your attacker.

It also provides almost total control over his body.

First, grab the attacker's hand with both of your hands.

Second, use your feet again.

Land a kick on a weak spot.

Finally, if you feel that the attacker's hand has slackened his grip, then let go of

it and break into a run.

If you've been grabbed by the neck, then hit the attacker in the groin, or poke his

eyes with your fingers.

Number 9.

Learn All About First Aid Learn all the vital instructions providing

first aid.

Be it yourself or somebody else, knowing about first aid always helps.

There are countless emergency situations there might be an injury, and a hospital might not

be immediately accessible.

In this case, your first aid measures could save a life.

You can even carry a first aid box in the dashboard of your car.

Number 10.

Always Be Alert Even if you know each and everything about

self-defense, it is always helpful to be a bit alert.

If you are well aware of your surroundings and the occurrences that are going on near

you, then you could save your life quite easily.

Always be on a lookout.

Maintain a distance while you are walking.

If you are vigilant enough, then you will be able to act on time.

✅ Ex-CNN producer blasts Jim Acosta for 'self-serving antics' - Duration: 2:46.

Trump used the event as an opportunity to extend condolences to the victims and survivors of Thursday's tragedy at the offices of the Capital Gazette, where five employees were slain by a gunman who was later taken into custody

Acosta tried to link the shooting to past criticisms that Trump had leveled toward members of the media, including calling them "the enemy of the people

"  As the audience applauded at the end of the president's speech, Acosta shouted from the back of the room:  "Mr. President, will you stop calling us the enemy of the people, sir? Will you stop calling the press the enemy of the people, sir? Mr

President, will you stop calling the press the enemy of the people, sir?"  The question drew no response from Trump.  "Truly an embarrassment, on multiple levels," Krakauer tweeted about Acosta's performance

He continued in a subsequent tweet: "On a day journalists could honor the memory of fellow reporters tragically killed due to a deranged person with a vendetta going back years, Acosta tries to shift the blame to Trump," Krakauer wrote

After the White House event, Acosta tweeted about his own performance: "I tried to ask the president if he would stop calling us the enemy of the people

He did not respond," Acosta wrote.  He added: "We also had a few folks who shushed is in the audience. Of course we are not going to be shushed

"  Acosta is no stranger to controversy. Earlier in the week, the reporter drew shouts of "Go home!," and "Fake news, Jim!" at a Trump rally in South Carolina

One rallygoer, identified as Maria Rojas, personally confronted Acosta, telling him he doesn't respect the country.  "I do respect the United States, yes I do," Acosta told the woman in videos posted by an Associated Press reporter

Anyone wanting more opportunity to make up their minds about Acosta can tune in Sunday to CNN's "Reliable Sources" program, where host Brian Stelter is scheduled to interview his CNN colleague, Jim Acosta

Fox News' Nicole Darrah contributed to this story.

I BOUGHT SOME SELF-PUBLISHED BOOKS - Duration: 6:09.

Hello!

I'm here with an exciting video.

It's an un...boxing... *laughs*

this isn't a box...

I was recently inspired to buy some self-published books.

I bought two from one person, and one from another person.

One person I follow on youtube, it's Wolfshot Publishing, I will leave his channel in the

description if you don't know about him.

So I bought two of his books, and I also bought a book by someone I don't know.

I just searched youtube for, I think I put in the search bar:

"You can buy my self-published book", or something like that.

And a lot of people posted about being excited about their self published book, like unboxing

it for the first time and looking at it, and then not putting any information in the video

about how to buy their book.

So anyway, I found one, who did, and the book seemed interesting, so I bought them.

And so now I'm going to open them and show them to you!

Because we have to support self-published authors too, because they're authors too.

And self publishing is a good way to get traditionally published sometimes.

Take a look at The Martian.

And Still Alice.

And Amanda Hocking!

Okay, the first one here is the one by the person who I didn't know.

This is a really cool cover.

It's book one in The Hunter Legends, and it's called The Beast, by Lindsay Mead.

And it's a steampunk retelling of Beauty and the Beast!

So, I love the matte cover, this is great.

Oh, it's like, fairly floppy, which is nice.

My books are not that floppy.

They're pretty stiff, which is sad.

But, whatcha gonna do?

Demon possession has swept through Glace's neighboring kingdom, turning humans into hellhounds.

These great, fanged wolves are wild, desperate, and hungry.

Only the sworn Hunters have kept them back for five long, bloody years.

Since becoming a Hunter at a young age, Belle LeClair no longer remembers how many hounds

she's killed or how many friends she's buried.

Still, Belle leads the hunt till a tragedy forces her deep into the dark kingdom.

Her heart will be turned, her loyalty tested— and fate will intervene.

Amid a backdrop of Steampunk inventions and a harsh winter landscape, THE BEAST is a re-imagining

of the infamous love between a beauty and a beast.

That sounds good!

I'm really excited about this!

Also, there will be links to these books in the description, if you want to buy them as

well, if they sound good to you, so, there's that one.

I also got, so this one's by Wolfshot Publishing, Cam, so his author name is Cam C Wolfe.

And this book is The Architects of the Gifted: The Scarlet Reaper.

This is a really nice book also.

He did a good job.

"What haunts me is not the things we have seen, but to know that they were there all

along and we were too blind to notice."

Carter Becker appears to most as an ordinary teenager trying to get the attention of Scarlett,

the girl with the ruby eyes.

The most beautiful girl in the world.

But when a devastating and catast - *laughs* But when a devastating catastrophe destroys

his city, Carter realizes that the world hides many dark secrets, and he himself is one of them.

A rogue soul reaper has come to a world that is not its own to carry out a sinister plan,

and the only thing it requires is Scarlett's life.

Carter joins forces with a team of fantastic and mysterious individuals to bring her home,

but standing in his way are terrifying creatures beyond his imagination, an ancient and powerful

organisation and worst of all, his own fear.

Saving Scarlett's life and stopping the reaper's plan for total control will take

more than luck; Carter will have to accept what he is and learn how to use it.

And the next book is a parody of Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur, by Cam C Wolfe.

*laughs* It's called bobs and vagene

And what he did was he took -- Well, I'll just read the back:

This is an uncapitalized journey of thirsty instagrammers, working tirelessly to make

girls show their bobs and vagene.

This is a collection of the lust, the anger, the butts, the bobs.

This is actually pretty sad and gross, and just a little bit funny.

And uh, anyway.

He read a few of the "poems" on his channel, and they were hilarious.

These are the three self-published books that I just bought.

That I'm excited to read.

Aaannnd If you want, there's another self-published

book that I just wrote that I can show you.

Here's mine!

It's called Saving Mason.

It also has a nice, velvety cover.

And it's not that stiff, now that I realize.

I said it was stiff before, but it's, like it's not floppy,

but it's not so stiff that it's terrible.

Anyway, this is my book!

I'll read the synopsis for this one for you.

Just because zombies can kill you doesn't mean they're always ruining people's lives.

They just exist, the same way that people do and the same way that everything else does.

The zombies have been around for so long that most people have learned how to live without

being affected by them.

Most of the time.

So when a young woman, traveling with a man she hardly knows, is bitten on the foot, she's

faced with a difficult decision: Let the infection run its course and become a zombie herself,

or let him amputate.

After losing her parents and not knowing how to trust someone new, putting her life in

the hands of a stranger seems to be the toughest situation she will ever be faced with.

Turns out that was the easy part.

And so that's exciting!

There's another self-published book right there for you.

That I will also -- can't leave -- never mind, I can't leave it in the description, it's

not available yet.

But my website will be in the description, and you can sign up for my mailing list if

you want.

And it will tell you when it's available there.

So that's all for this video.

I hope you have a great day!

Bye!

Why Businesses Can't Self Represent in Florida - Duration: 1:48.

I'm Reed Bloodworth the managing partner of Bloodworth Law.

A lot of my business clients are surprised to learn that they cannot represent their

corporation or their LLC in court.

That's because Florida law requires that a corporation or an LLC be represented by

an attorney in any court proceeding.

So what does that mean?

Well that means if your company has a potential breach of contract action against another

company or individual and you as owner of the company attempt to file that breach of

contract complaint in court your complaint can be dismissed.

There'd be a motion to dismiss filed by the other side that says this corporation

or LLC is not represented by counsel and accordingly as a matter of Florida law this complaint

should be dismissed.

On the flip side of that if your company gets sued and you as owner attempt to file an answer

from defenses or a motion to dismiss those pleadings for motion can be stricken from

the record.

So this means is if you are involved in a lawsuit in Florida and you own a business

your business must have counsel.

So again my name is Reed Bloodworth.

If you own a business and something's happened to you give me a call.

Let's talk about what's happened to you.

5.1 Self Mastery - Duration: 6:10.

In this course of practical meditation, we have spent quite a bit of time

establishing the awareness of myself as a soul. So I'm beginning to build a

picture of Who I am and as I begin to practice, a very lovely thing begins to

happen. I begin to see a sense of self mastery begin. Whereas before I felt a

victim of my inner world, as I start to create thoughts of myself, my mind cools

down. There's a sense that I'm taking back the authority of my inner world and

I begin to see and experience how peace is my natural state. Peace is intrinsic

to a quality of life. But not only peace, so is love. And probably a part of my

psychology is the nature to have relationship; it's built into me, into Who

I am. My experience over so many years of

teaching meditation, talking to people from all backgrounds, in all parts of the

world, is that when you start to explore these ideas and they begin to open up,

almost everybody has so many stories feelings, hurts and quite quite often

deep pain around relationship. There's just been so much in my past, in my

family and my relationships that still sits inside in an uncomfortable way.

Sometimes I ask the question: what has given me the most happiness in life? And

most people will say relationships. Next question: what has given me the most

sorrow? Is it the same answer? I think most would feel so and I think there's

so many crises in our world at the moment, there's a whole shopping list of them.

But for me, the main crisis is relationships. A life without love is not

a life at all and yet I think so many of our human family do not experience a

quality of love in life. We are watching for the first time in human history, the

breakdown of the family. In so many parts of the world, less than 50% of the

population live in a family, a traditional family, where the family

provides that nurture and support for my heart with belonging and care. We are

also in a time where there are so many mental health issues. In psychology, they

will have a lot of reasons for that. But I would say, from a spiritual

perspective, that when there's a lack of love in life, something doesn't work in

my mind and this is why we're beginning the next step of Raja yoga meditation.

The first step to realize I am an eternal soul. The second step is

that I am beginning to explore a relationship with another soul, a soul

that is pure. A soul that is divine. We could use the language the Supreme Soul

or even God. And the second step in meditation is beginning to link my mind

with the Divine, with the Supreme, with God. As I mention that, some may be

feeling wonderful; I have love for God and I want to explore this in more depth.

But others may be feeling nervous or uncomfortable. Actually, I can relate to

that because this is my background too. As a child, I felt that I carried some

impressions from religion that didn't make me feel comfortable with God. I saw

God as a very punishing, judgmental, authoritarian

figure and I suppose I just didn't want to connect. But I wanted to meditate. I was

searching for something but when God was mentioned, I really didn't want to engage

in that area. But I did explore it and what helped me was I separated religion

and God. Religion is the institutions that here in our world, that have given

so much benefit to so many people. But, for some of us, we want to separate the

experience or the understanding of God from religion and when I did, I found

that I began to explore this relationship. This relationship with the

Soul that will not cause me sorrow. A relationship with the Soul that will

never leave me. A relationship with the Soul that will never let me down. A

relationship with a Soul that will always keep my trust. This is a real

relationship. And the second step in Raja Yoga is a link of the soul with the

Supreme Soul. Yoga is this deep union, this absorption of my mind. Turning my

mind away from all the other distractions and influences, the past, the

anxiety of the future, people, situations and I rest my mind on a Being that is

full of love, full of peace and full of power. And this Being's influence will

start to reawaken the original experiences in the self. I would really

suggest you experiment for yourself and just see how you feel.

5.1 Developing Self-Mastery and the Link with the Supreme - Duration: 7:27.

In the subject of meditation, we're specifically looking at Raj Yoga

meditation. The term is a very interesting one; yoga, everybody's heard

the word yoga across the world. But yoga actually means to unite, to join things

together. And when we talk about Raj Yoga and we're talking about that yoga, which

is able to give mastery over the self. And so firstly, when I come to the

awareness of who I am, then in that state I'm able to be the

master of my physical senses and then of course the things that we spoken of in

detail, mastery over my thoughts, my feelings, my awareness, my understanding,

and then further, mastery even over my own personality traits. But Raj Yoga also

has another concept and that is the understanding of the Divine. And so, to

have mastery over the self is one aspect of Raja, the king, the sovereign, but it

also refers to the fact that this is the meditation in which we are actually

having a connection, that Yoga, union with the Supreme, the Highest of all, the

Supreme Being, the One whom we sometimes call God. I know that people are a little

bit allergic to this term, but is an important concept to look at. Definitely,

you can meditate without thinking of a Supreme. Just simply meditation on the

self and coming back to that inner space in which I discover who I am and I'm

able to connect with my own highest qualities and allow that transformation

to work is actually possible, just simply by the self. But it's hard work.

And what makes it a lot easier is if I can connect with a source of external

power, power which is absolutely altruistic and full of goodness and

benevolence, with no other motive except simply to be able to give and purify. And

that is the being we described as God. But if you don't believe in God, it's

fine. Continue to meditate please, it'll help

you a lot. And just that awareness of the inner being will change your responses

to people around you and therefore also then their responses to you. But maybe

you'll be interested to listen to some of the ideas that we'd like to share.

Because there's been a lot of misinformation about the subject of God.

And I know that I myself was born in a Hindu tradition and those ideas really

didn't make much sense to me. I was also brought up in England with an

a Christian education. At first, in fact, until the age of eleven, convent schools

both in India and in England but after that just what they call CoE, Church of

England school. And what we find, within all of these things, is that again there

are ideas that are being shared, that we are told we mustn't challenge. Whether

it's in the east or the west. In the East, they say to you, well it's in the

scriptures and the scriptures are the final authority. And so you have to

believe. And in the West, they tell you, well it's a mystery. And so you just have

to accept, you can't challenge it and there are no answers available. And so

given those two positions, I found myself in a situation in which I really didn't

think I needed to know anything more about this subject until I was maybe

retired and had not else to do except sit back in an rocking

chair and think about these things. But fortunately, I came across these

teachings when I was just starting University and had the time and space to

give a little bit of possibility to exploring new ideas. And these are things

that I'd like to share with you. And listen with an open mind and yes,

definitely ask questions but also experiment with the concepts. And once

you've been able to experiment with these ideas, you'll be able to decide for

yourself what is comfortable for you or not. The practice of soul consciousness,

in the way that's being described earlier, there are two different

practices that are important: one is the practice where I'm talking and walking,

I'm seeing, I'm doing but I, the soul sit here and I experience myself as the

master of this physical form, this chariot of mine. So that is very much

soul consciousness. The other is when I have the opportunity just to sit quietly,

and no other distractions and I go on this inner journey and I actually

experiment with the idea of focusing my attention just on that being that I am,

the soul and going deeper and deeper inside, connecting with the truth that

lies within, but also coming to that awareness in which I can actually feel I,

the soul, I'm a totally separate entity, independent of this physical form. So

it's two things working together, soul and body.

And so yoga, union that perfect harmony and alignment, where I know I'm a soul

but I'm the master of this body. So Raja Yoga, the sovereign of this body

and if I been practicing this awareness both in meditation as well as through

activity, then when I get to the next subject of exploring the consciousness

of the Divine, the Supreme, it's very easy to come to an understanding that can

allow me to resonate with it. But also then to be able to actually connect and

experience who the Supreme is.
