Earlier this month, her attempts to copy her 'Gan-Gan' - the name the royal youngsters have given the Queen –as she waved from the Buckingham Palace balcony during the Trooping the Colour celebrations charmed the nation

Charlotte was noted to be studying her 92-year-old great-great grandmother minutely, before imitating her flawlessly

The tot has had plenty of practice when it comes to perfecting her regal greeting, having observed the Queen, as well as her mother the Duchess of Cambridge, at various events over the last couple of years

Two years ago, aged one, Charlotte travelled with her mum, her dad Prince William, and her older brother Prince George, to Canada for a royal visit

The Duchess was spotted teaching Charlotte how to wave as they got off their plane in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia

Clearly a fast learner, the youngster got the hang of it rapidly.By the end of the official tour, she was waving to well wishers enthusiastically

Royal visits to Poland and Germany also offered her further opportunities to work on her technique

Nor is her performance at this year's Trooping the Colour a first. Also when she was one year old, she waved enthusiastically as she made her debut at the event while looking up the RAF flypast

The next year, she joined with great-grandparents the Queen and Prince Philip in waving to the crowds like a pro

And earlier this year, she once again underlined how comfortable she is in the limelight during a visit to the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington to meet her new baby Prince Louis

In contrast to the rather more reserved Prince George, Charlotte was happy to turn around and give a big wave to the crowds, much to the delight of the massed ranks of photographers gathered outside

And in May, Charlotte stole the show yet again as her uncle, Prince Harry, married Meghan Markle at St George's Chapel in Windsor

Charlotte, who was one of the bridesmaids at the lavish day-long celebation, proved a huge hit after emerging on the church steps with her mum

Looking resplendent in her outfit, she waved off the newlyweds as they prepared take part in a carriage procession around Windsor

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have caught the World Cup fever - Duration: 2:30.

Their dad is the President of the Football Association, and with World Cup fever hitting

the globe, it's no surprise that Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been engrossed

by it all.

Over the weekend, the young royals - who are avid football fans - were seen playing the

sport with some friends at the gardens outside Kensington Palace, according to royal blog,

Royally Will & Kate.

This comes as no surprise as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have often talked about

their fondness of the sport.

Earlier this year, Kate revealed that her two eldest children own Aston Villa kits - the

Birmingham-based team which Prince William supports.

During a trip to Coventry, nine-year-old student Brian Mulonbi shared: "Kate told me that George

and Charlotte love putting on Villa kits.

When Charlotte was 17 months-old, William confessed that his little girl was showing

good potential as a future footballer.

"

Charlotte is the one who shows more aptitude [for football]," he said during a chat with

the England women's team captain, Steph Houghton, and her teammate Jill Scott.

"George is sort of getting into it slowly, but Charlotte is showing more aptitude…

They're great."

She may only be three years old, but Princess Charlotte has already mastered the art of

the royal wave.

The adorable little girl has learnt from the best – her mum the Duchess of Cambridge

and her great-grandmother the Queen.

Earlier this month, Charlotte was seen sweetly copying her 'Gan-Gan' as she waved from the

balcony of Buckingham Palace during the family's Trooping the Colour celebrations.

Charlotte was spotted looking over at the 92-year-old monarch and, not missing a beat,

copied Her Majesty to perfection.

Let's take a look at some of Charlotte's cutest moments…

When the royal youngster was one, she went on a tour of Canada with her family.

The Duchess was pictured teaching her daughter how to wave as they disembarked from their

airplane at Victoria.

By the end of the tour, Charlotte was a pro, taking the lead from her expert mum and waving

to well-wishers on the last day of their trip.

Charlotte has showed off her skill at Trooping the Colour over the years.

Shortly after her first birthday, she gave an enthusiastic wave at her Trooping debut,

looking up at the RAF flypast.

World Cup fever as Prince George and Princess Charlotte enjoy kickaround in garden - Duration: 2:35.

As the President of the Football Association, it is no surprise Prince William's children are avid football fans

The royal brother and sister were spotted enjoying a kickaround with their friends near their home in Kensington, according to royal blog Royally Will & Kate

And George, 4, and Charlotte, 3, have their very own Aston Villa kits, following in the footsteps of their father who is a loyal fan of the Birmingham-based team

On a visit to Coventry last year, Kate shared the insight with nine-year-old Brian Mulonbi

He said: "Kate told me that George and Charlotte love putting on Villa kits. "I told her I am an Arsenal fan, so I don't really like Villa kits," to which Kate jokily replied: "I have to be loyal to my husband"

The news the young royals have their very own Aston Villa kits shows Prince William must have got his way

When asked who he wants his children to support on a visit last year, the Duke of Cambridge said: "The responsible thing would be to say, to let him make his own mind up, but I think I might be quite biased

"I haven't quite worked out how to play that yet. But, of course he can support whoever he wants, but if he supports Villa, it'd be fantastic

I'd love to go to the odd match with him in the future. "It'll probably end up being that Charlotte is the Villa fan, and George will go and support someone else

" And Charlotte has shown good potential as a keen footballer from early on, with Prince William revealing that at the age of 17-months-old "Charlotte is the one who shows more aptitude for football"

During a chat with the England women's team, Steph Houghton, and Jill Scott, the father-of-three said:"George is sort of getting into it slowly, but Charlotte is showing more aptitude

They're great".
