The College of Business at the
University Haven has a number of
different certificate programs that are
available to students in the area. One
set of them are intended to serve
working practitioners or professionals
in the field to give them an opportunity
to deepen their experience or update
their skillset from when they were last
in college. The Certificate in Taxation
and the Certificate in Accounting give
the student an opportunity to deepen
their skillset by pulling from that pool
of classes that serve our Masters in
Taxation and our Masters in Accounting.
The second kind of certificate that we
have relates to greater flexibility. One
of our graduate certificate programs is
Business Intelligence. In Business
Intelligence, the student takes two
courses that give them the skills needed
to be able to engage in business
analytics for their organization, and
then they can choose two electives that
let them apply those skills in different
areas whether it be health informatics
or sport analytics, it gives the student the
ability to develop that skill set in a
holistic way. The Certificate Healthcare
Administration allows the student to
build a foundation in five major areas
of Healthcare Management and leverages
the strengths we have in our Masters in
Healthcare Administration to deliver
That. Graduate Certificates are about
giving the student the opportunity to
tailor their education - 12 hours, flexible,
and built around a competency that lets
them advance. The career certificates are
a great alternative to a Masters
Program.
