Traditional art to Digital *VOICE OVER* || Speedpaint - Duration: 8:55.

Hello, Bonjour, salut well this is new! Since this is a second video

of the year I thought I would change it up a bit by doing a voiceover I am still

new to this so just bear with me please if you haven't noticed from this video's

title I turned my traditional art to digital.

It wasn't really complicated than I thought it would be basically all I

did was scan my drawing from my printer to my computer so what I'm drawing right

now in this video is a new OC of mine or if you see it in another way it could be

a character doing Aphmau's minecraft role-play either way I still accept her

as my own as you but I don't really have a name for her so yeah I'm still thinking of

one though. I did do some mistakes on this character like for example I did

the line art twice by accident when I wasn't supposed to because I totally

forgot that the hand-drawn drawing was my sketch so after all this I had to

line my art three times in this whole video because when I'm enlarge drawing it

looked blurry and I didn't like that so yeah I am still learning along the way I

still need to learn about the layers because I'm pretty sure I am using them

wrong I mostly use this drawing program right now then paint tool sai which

everyone I know even my friend even other youtubers are using it's because I

mostly know the ways around clip studio paint already I've been so used to

clip studio paint ever since I have gotten a new wacomtablet for Christmas which was

two years ago so it's hotkeys have pretty much been second nature to me

anyway I will get straight to the point of how I got into drawing this OC this

might get deep for you guys a few days ago I got a minor concussion

from a basketball game just before the playoffs in my area I was told from

doctors that I couldn't play for approximately three to six weeks I was

so sad and disappointed because I felt like I let my team down and I didn't

want to stop playing a sport I cried so many times because I knew this

basketball season is gonna be ending soon like maybe next week so what I do

to cope with my sadness or whenever I am stressed I doodle then sometimes when I

doodle turns out into a masterpiece well for me anyways the next day my

basketball team sent me lots of love to me and telling me that I never let them

down on that very day I am baby so grateful to have such caring teammates

and friends I was happy while I was finishing up coloring my OC

I could probably relate to always from drawing right now on how happy she was

in the pose I drew her in I could say we are quite alike to this day my friends

every day when I come back to school they would always ask me if I was fine

or if I was okay when I was walking because I would usually have headaches

all the time when I was like walking fast because it's usually a habit of

mine to walk very fast and when that happens my ears start ringing I started

to get headaches I felt dizzy and my friends are always there to comfort me

well always hold my hand whenever I felt and need for some help I'm so grateful

that I have many friends who care for me I was so happy when they do that it made

me feel happy and inside really really happy that they don't even know it so I

guess this drawing this my OC and her happy smiley pose and whatever she is in

in her pose and she what it what she is in right now

I guess it could be dedicated to my teammates my awesome awesome teammates

who've been so caring to me for the couple for the couple past few days

without them I could probably be quitting basketball right now because I

felt like I let my team down because on that day I would just say right now I

wasn't really that helpful on that day just before at lunchtime on that day

before the basketball game they said when I visited the nurse I had a neck

spasm or also what the doctors would say a muscle virus I'm not really sure but

that's what they said and I believe them so when I had that neck spasm I was

dizzy and my vision was blurry and it really hurt I couldn't move my neck at

all but one of my bestest friends helped me up

they helped me up stand up walked me to the CAF cafeteria helped me around asked

questions if I was doing fine and if I should play basketball and I said I was

perfectly fine and that I could still play but I guess I wasn't

I broke a promise and let my best friend down but in the she forgave me in the wrong

actions I didn't do right

there are so many people in the world who have such kind heart and for whoever

you have in your life that has such a kind heart and whoever has such a kind

heart your bestest friends you are really blessed and to you out there was

those friends who are always supportive for you and will always help you

whatever and whenever they can give them a hug give them appreciation on that day

for you are blessed to have such an amazing friend

thanks for watching bye thank you guys so much for watching this fail but wait

before you go tap on the like button and subscribe for more artsy and random

videos oh and also check in the description down below for any future

in mind updates bye

Delegate Lee Carter Speaks in Committee about Digital Devices Repair Bill - Duration: 5:58.

468 relates to the deactivation

or alteration of embedded software in a digital device

as a response to third party repairs

So, this bill is very short, but there are a lot of very complex questions

that we're going to be weighing in on here

The impetus behind this bill is because of a business practice

that is hostile to consumers

but a business practice that is currently conducted because of a lot of uncertainty in legal precedent

both at the state and federal levels

So, the business practice in question is

whether an original equipment manufacturer can deactivate the software

that is built into a digital device because they don't like who you picked to repair it

This business practice is aimed at punishing consumers

for making what the manufacturer deems to be an incorrect choice

with the device that a consumer has already purchased

And this is used as a way to enforce an artificial monopoly

on repair

This is used to destroy competition from smaller businesses

which offer third party electronic repair

for devices

So, this happens in a variety of devices - I mean we all know that software

is coming up in more and more different types of devices

as the years go on, but it's primarily happening with cell phones

So someone will buy a cell phone for $800 - that cell phone will break

and I think most people intuitively understand that once you've bought something

you have the choice of where you get that repaired if it breaks

But unfortunately, the device manufacturers - many of them are asserting

that although you bought the $800 phone, you don't own the software

that makes it more than an $800 paperweight

And the reason they're able to assert this is because of a question of whether or not

the doctrine of 'first sale' applies to software

The doctrine of first sale is a very old legal precedent

dating back to I believe 1908

that says once you've purchased something, you are the one who has the choice

of what to do with that item

So this is the legal doctrine that allows libraries to operate

Because once the library has purchased the book, they can decide to lend it out

This is the doctrine that allows you to destroy something that you've bought

So going back to that same book

You know, if you decide that you really don't like the words in that book

you can set it on fire

But, the printer of that book does not have the right

to come into your house and set that book on fire

because they've decided that they don't like what you're doing with the book

That's because of the doctrine of first sale

The doctrine of first sale applies to literally everything sold in this country

up to digital devices

The question of whether or not it applies to digital devices

has not really been settled by the federal government

it's not really been settled by the state governments

it's not really been settled by the courts

and the question of whether or not it applies to digital devices

comes down to whether or not there is a physical transfer

of the software

when you purchase it

So, with embedded software, the manufacturer is making a copy of that software

and embedding it into the device, and you're purchasing the device

and the software along with it

There's a physical transfer

The manufacturer's ownership relationship to that software

in my opinion, ends when they sell it to you

and yours begins

But it's the position of the manufacturers

that they're licensing that use of the software

that they've not made a physical copy and transfer

to you, and that they therefore have the right

to punish you for making decisions that they don't like

by deactivating the phone that's in your pocket

So this is, like I said

it's a very short bill

it is aimed at one business practice in particular

but I am asking this committee, and I'm asking the body as a whole

to decide what Virginia's position will be

on this very complex, long running legal question

that is very much in the air

and that is whether or not the doctrine of first sale

applies to software that is built into a device

Thank you Madam Chair

The legal precedent around end user license agreements

you know, the first time you turn on a phone

there's that big screen full of text, that frankly nobody reads

that says what the manufacturer

asserts are the conditions on that sale

but, this has been

decided by courts throughout the country, that when you have a click through

or a package opening condition on agreement to the end user license agreement

that in many, many cases, those license agreements

are not enforceable

because the person does not have an option to weigh in on the terms

of the license agreement, until after they've already purchased the device

So, this question comes up with software that you buy on physical media

it comes up with the operating systems

that are built into computers that you buy from Best Buy

or Amazon, or what have you

And it's been decided by many courts that

if you have an option to weigh in on the license agreement

before your purchase, then that is certainly the case

but if you don't get access to that license agreement

until after the purchase, then it's not enforceable

Right Angle: And The Winner Is.... Digital Actors! - Duration: 13:05.

Well what we in Los Angeles call kudos season has just gotten into top gear

with the announcement of the Academy Award nominees and I think it's probably

in the interest of all of us to take a look at one of these categories and see

what the world's political situation looks like. Hi everybody I'm Bill Whittle

here with Steve Green and Scott Ott and this is about your post-Oscars Oscars. So

here's what I think are the five best performances of 2017 and the nominees

for best male actor are:

"Alright, team Osiris the light is green."

"Brooks isn't a corporal anymore. Your sergeant now.

You're the commander of the Marines on this ship.

My honor, sir.

"We should contact Admiral Raines now, commander."

"No. Staff Sergeant Omar said to pick your mission,

don't let it pick you. That's exactly what we're gonna do."

Ho ho, ha ha, did you see what I did there? There's a reason for this. Certainly

those of us who are conservatives, the half of the country that's routinely

insulted by all of the glitterati and all of the rest of the highfalutin

limousine liberals who talk about open borders from behind their private

security fenced in compounds and all the rest of this hypocrisy - all of this is on

its way out. The Oscars used to be something that was just a cultural event,

now it's just kind of like a, you know Thursday night football game,

essentially it's going to essentially disappear. One of the reasons is that

entertainment is moving away from feature films and TV into things like

content produced by users on YouTube, some of these getting billions of views.

There's not a TV show in the world that ever got billions of views and also

so much of the focus of the creative arts today is going into computer games.

So as you can see from the examples I picked, we're not there yet but we are

getting perilously close to this idea of digital actors and so on and this is

what I'd like to discuss today: the digital future of entertainment. Steve,

let's start with you. I suspect that it will be available - it's already available

to Hollywood - to produce characters that are essentially indistinguishable from

digital characters, essentially indistinguishable from real people.

Certainly within the next two or three years on the high level it'll be routine.

This technology moves downhill very very quickly. What do you think that says when

a screenwriter is not only able to write a character but perhaps in

conjunction with the director is able to design the character - is to create

the actor that they think is perfect for this. Does that worry you at all or do

you think there's some interesting ground to be made there? No it doesn't

worry me in the slightest and let me tell you why. How many stories have been

written, by writers of course, about how Hollywood screwed up their book? )r about

how the singer screwed up their song? I've got Ray Charles in The Count Basie

Orchestra doing an old number called "Mom, Look What They Did to My Song." So

this is the age-old lament. That somewhere between the writer and the

audience, you've got a money-grubbing producer, you've got an egotistical

director, you have idiot actors who all kind of conspire to ruin the writer's

vision and I remember during the the big writers strike of maybe this is 20 years

ago now, one of the guys at one of these awards show reminding the

audience that every great movie begins with a great script but we also have a

lot of lousy movies that probably started with a pretty great script but

all of these things are in the way between the writer and delivering the

writer's vision to the audience. And if we can give writers these tools to

create these things directly and send them to their audience

directly, I think this would be the the biggest boon to to film and TV

maybe since since the invention of the projector. I can hardly wait to see

it and you know I'd worried before that instead of having the broad

popular culture that we had at the dawn of mass media and then for about 30 to

50 years after that, that we you know, now we're in these silos and the silos keep

getting skinnier and skinnier and taller and taller. Well this

disintermediation between the writer and the audience may be able to bring back

the popular culture, the actual broad base culture that we started losing

in the 60s and 70s. Well as we saw from some of the examples

I listed earlier, some of these characters are photorealistic but others

are extremely realistic looking and yet very stylized, they're clearly

not somebody who could ever have been cast.

Hang on Bill, let me throw something in really quick.

My favorite comedic performance of 2017:

Baby Groot!

Yeah, there you go. There you go. Exactly.

Scott, here's what I think is interesting about this, mostly

politically, is that we're not there yet but we're getting there very very

quickly. All of these performances that we saw

earlier are not animators moving lips, frame-by-frame adjusting expressions,

this is facial motion capture, body motion capture, so these are real actors

performing and the computers recording their motions and then translating those

motions on to a digital character and really this essentially got started with

Andy Serkis's amazing work with Gollum back in Lord of the Rings, early 2000s.

But what it means is this, Scott. We're very close to seeing I think the same

kind of revolution in in big ticket entertainment that we saw with that

whole idea of news and opinion when we got started, when the internet finally

had the bandwidth to do video. In other words, for the cost of about five

thousand dollars you can get a pretty good mocap system. Digital animators,

digital sets, digital people. They're not quite there yet but when these things

become photorealistic and a person can produce essentially an epic feature film

in a room the size of this studio and this is not hyperbole by any means, this

is certainly coming. What do you think that does to level the playing field in

terms of getting this kind of content away from these billionaire leftists and

their big studios and out into the people who have differing opinions about

things? I think we live in heady times. I mean it-it's this kind of exciting time

to be alive. I mean the first thing that occurs to me is: Finally! Hurray! There'll

be great opportunities for ugly people who have technical skills. You know you

don't have to - you don't have to have a jaunty jaw or handsome eyebrows to be to

be really at the heart of a star performance in a movie anymore. It's guys

who know how to code. You know, it's people who have actual skills who are

becoming the real stars in Hollywood and I guess we'll have to banish the others

to the stage, where they'll have to perform live in front of people and

learn their craft. The other thing that strikes me is that a computer-generated

character is unlikely to sexually harass his co-stars or the interns on the set.

But not impossible. Yeah not impossible but unlikely. That's why I said just unlikely.

The other thing which is a fascinating notion is, the prominence in recent years of vocal acting

that has, you know you have to actually be a significantly better

actor to pull off some of this stuff-

For all these voices in animated movies. Using a microphone, yeah.

Yeah I mean think of Robin Williams in Aladdin years ago, who really created

that character through the power of his voice and the artists just sort of built

it around Robin William's voice and so you know I think that there are lots of

positive things that come out about. Earlier today I was messing around with

GarageBand on my computer here and it does things that I'm not even, I don't

even have a an inkling of how to do but I have an entire band in my iMac. Yes.

This is my point. I can write a song with a drum line and bass and guitars and put it all

together and if I want to sing on it, I can do that but if I don't I can

completely fabricate all that. So you know I think it is really amazing . We've

said this before on this show but they used to you know, say that we have

freedom of the press in this country for the man who owns one and now in a sense

everybody owns one. wWe have you know freedom to shape the culture for the

person who owns a movie studio and I have one and so will you. Yeah that's

exactly my point. Everyone will be able to own a feature film studio for $10,000

or less. And I think this is what's exciting about it to me. Certainly young

people are trending more and more towards video games, are spending less

and less time and money going to films and more and more time living in the

world of these video games and one of the reasons they become so attractive

is because of what we call these cutscenes which we showed some segments

of earlier where these highly rendered scenes of characters interacting either

with you or with each other followed by some gameplay and then another another

cutscene and so on. So just in a nutshell what I would say is this: if I was a

Hollywood actor I wouldn't be too worried because motion capture requires

acting. As Scott pointed out, it requires exceptional acting and it's a very

difficult kind of acting where you've got a camera directly in front of your

face here and this net and so on. So there's going to be room for a lot

more technicians but these are things that are affordable. Motion

capture systems now $2,000. Facial recognition capture software,

maybe four or five hundred dollars. These are all available. So we'll

still need actors. If I was a movie star on the other hand I'd be a little

concerned about this because a good actor who may just be a real ordinary

looking guy essentially will have the ability to have the features of

whichever particular actor we find most interesting. I will say two things in

terms of a caveat. One of them is that if you get to design your own faces they

tend to all look similar. It's hard to commit to somebody with the

idiosyncrasies that come in from people off of the street. That concerns me

a little bit, sort of the homogeneity of these computerized characters. I suspect

that'll change too. But the final thing I'll say about this is, I think the

people that who have to worry the least are writers. Back in 1980-81, I was and

and I mean we were just getting started with computer games the simplest kind of

you know like branching out, do you want to do this or do you want to do that? And

a theater director teacher who I respected very much named David Shelton

said he was worried that since audiences will be able to make a decision that

basically they won't need writers anymore, that during the course of the

movie at several different key points the audience will vote on what they want

the character to do and therefore you won't need writers anymore and even at

that early time I said Dr. Shelton, I think you're wrong about that one. And

the reason I think you're wrong about that one is because if the audience gets

to decide what the characters are gonna do then they'll always do the right

thing. They'll always do the right thing and they'll always do the thing that we

want them to do, the villains will always be punished, the heroes will

always triumph and it's gonna be as boring as it can be because great story

is when the heroes do something wrong and evil and and the villains have some

humanizing element about them. So those elements will still be here. But to me

it's the democratization of it. It's the idea that already within our fingertips

is the means to produce films that look very much of the quality of Lord of the

Rings or so on and that within the next three or four years certainly we will

all as we now have our own TV studios in our homes and we have our own means

of communication, pretty soon we will all have our own you know enormous Hollywood

movie lots and a hundred and fifty, two hundred, three hundred million dollar

budgets to make these kind of movies and we'll be able to do it if you can talk

your friends into helping you out. It's an interesting world and

we're gonna live to see it. Thanks for joining us, I'm Bill Whittle, we'll see

you next time here with Steve Green and Scott Ott and on Right Angle, made

These platforms offer very powerful people-based targeting options that allow you to build an audience based off of characteristics such as their location, age,

gender, and an assortment of other detailed targeting options.

You can also layer these detailed targeting options to create a more specific audience.

For example, if you offer home improvement services that appeal to new homeowners you could target recent home buyers

and then narrow the audience further by also targeting people who are likely to spend on home improvement or renovations.

Tip #2 | Determine how much each result is worth to your business?

Before you launch your campaigns, think about what exactly you hope to accomplish

and how much you are willing to spend to accomplish it.

For example, if your goal is to get potential customers to fill out your contact form

know how much you're willing to spend for each of those leads. This amount is your target cost for acquisition.

If you're promoting a variety of different products or services, your target cost per acquisition will probably vary.

Knowing your target cost per acquisition will make it easier to monitor your campaign performance and make adjustments to your strategy.

Tip #3 | Track your results and make adjustments as needed.

Take the time to review your campaign performance.

Keep a close eye on your campaigns throughout the month and do a more in-depth review of your campaigns at least once a month.

Your click-through rate will show a percentage of people who saw your ad & actually clicked on it to visit your site.

If your click-through rate is low, you may want to consider adjusting your ad creative or targeting.

You should also keep an eye on your cost per click.

A sudden jump could indicate an increase in competition, in which case you may need to adjust your bid strategy and ad creative to be more competitive.

And of course you also want to make sure you're getting conversions on your ads.

Watch your conversion rate and total number of conversions to make sure you're getting the results that you need.

If the company that's running your current paid campaigns is reporting only on clicks and impressions,

and not providing reports on conversions,

then they're not helping you reach your goals.

Will Your iPhone or iPad Wreck Your Kids Hearing? - Digital Parenting Minute [Ep 17] - Duration: 1:43.

- Now, while we usually think

of emotional and mental dangers associated

with using digital devices,

there can also be real physical damage

to your child's hearing.

Thankfully, the restrictions feature in iOS

also provides a way for us to limit the volume

at which your child can listen to audio.

So let's dive into it.

(energetic, percussive music)

- [Instructor] iOS allows you to set the maximum volume

for the device.

To access this feature,

you will need to go to the Settings app.

From this app, scroll down until you see Music.

From this option, look for the Volume Limit option.

From here, you can set the maximum volume for the device.

The next step in this process is to make sure

that your child can't change this setting.

We will do this with the Restrictions feature

that we've covered in previous episodes.

From within this page in the Settings app,

go back to the General List.

Next, select Restrictions.

You'll need to press the Enable Restrictions button

if you haven't enabled it yet.

Once you do, you'll need to set a passcode.

This passcode will be used to either edit

or disable the restrictions on this device.

Once you have Restrictions enabled, scroll to the bottom

and you will see an option called Volume Limit.

From here, you can specify whether your child can change

the volume limit.

Select Don't Allow Changes.

After setting this, the volume limit will be locked

to its current setting.

With this setting in place,

you can make sure that the maximum volume that you set

won't be exceeded when your child is listening

to the iOS device.

Digital Dos & Don'ts - Finding Strategic Connections on LinkedIn - Duration: 3:18.

Hi everyone! Lisa with Simply Real Systems here to show you how to make

strategic connections on LinkedIn. As you can see I'm logged into my account.

I'm on the my network tab and there are a lot of connections here that LinkedIn

is suggesting to me based on the 671 connections I already have. As you

can see some of them are in the real estate industry. I'm

looking to see if there's anybody who's not. Like here's a trainer that

I'm not sure would be a good connection for me or not so I'm just

going to go ahead and show you that you you can click this X and it will

take people off of your suggested list. If you connect from here ... I'm going to go

ahead and show you how if you connect from here ... it's going to automatically

send them an invitation but you're not going to be able to customize it with a

note. I want to show you how you can do that so I'm going to go up into the

search bar and I'm going to put in "realtor" in there and I'm going to search for people

who identify themselves as realtors in their profiles. As you can see this is

actually including some of my 1st level connections and since I'm already connected with

these people I want to filter them out so that I'm just reaching out to

people that I haven't connected with yet. So you can see I've sent invitations to

a lot of these people ... so I'm gonna go down here to a page maybe that's further

down. I want to show you one ... here's one I haven't connected ...

with a female, so I'm going to reach out to connect. In this text box

you can see I'm given the option to add a note. That is always more likely to work

if you're reaching out to a stranger. You can explain why you're

reaching out that's going to have a better result,

most likely. So, I always start with their name, and I believe her name was Nicole.

Then I have a quick message that I've typed out in a Word

document or Notepad and I just copy and paste that in there. Now, just

because I was a little distracted I'm gonna double check that I spelled her

name correctly because that would be rude to misspell her name. =) So yes her

name is Nicole and I just explained that I'm an affiliate with the Hampton Roads

Women in Real Estate so that she knows that I'm interested and supporting

Realtors® in the area. I just say I'm looking forward to connecting

and networking and then I can send that invitation. I hope you enjoyed this

training and I hope that you're able to use it to reach out and expand your

network with your strategic connections. Thanks so much ... have a great day!
