Hi, my name is Göran and we are here at Sollentuna Musikklasser [school in Sweden]
I work as history, social science and religion teacher in a school for grades 7-9.
I see great potential in this software, Plotagon.
I think the software can be very good for various types of students.
And I think you could work in many different ways in this app.
It is one way to help students who are not comfortable in presenting in front of the class.
It is an exciting way to express yourself.
There is a great potential to work creatively.
In an easy and educational way.
I see that this software can be used for collaborative work.
... in different subjects, small projects, big projects.
You can of course also work independently on your own with it.
I have been working in Plotagon with my students; a happy grade 7 class.
I created the assignment that the students should come up with an idea of a totally new "religion".
With its own characteristics, own story of evolution, own rituals
To help them reflect on the similarities and differences between the great World religions.
Now they have been working two and two coming up with their "religions".
And their task has been to present that to me and the class using Plotagon.
So we launched Plotagon on their devices and I instructed the students to try on their own.
Ask if you don't understand, I told them.
I think you can learn this software without any instruction whatsoever.
And it worked like a charm.
No group of students got stuck. Everyone worked well with their assignments in Plotagon.
The first lesson was for start-up and for the second the students were excited to continue their projects
It worked out well... really well!

The, the states have had to decide one major outcome area that we wanted to
improve for students with disabilities and Virginia chose how we were going to
try to push to get more kids with disabilities Standard or Advanced
Studies diplomas. We required to have performance benchmarks in each of those
areas that we identified that we're causing our kids not to get a Standard or
Advanced Studies Diploma and we had to come up with short-term objectives and
activities. So we report on that every single year for the last two years and
we were able to show progress in all those different areas and that's why we
got some of the ratings that we did.

Ministries of culture and education seek to provide "innovative culture and education" to people - Duration: 2:43.
The first government briefings on policy for 2018 comes to an end.
In today's session,... the culture and education ministries as well as the Korea Communications
Commission layed out their action plans for the rest of the year.
Lee Ji-won has the details.
Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon, several other top officials and ordinary citizens... were
briefed on this year's action plans by the ministries of culture and education... and
the Korea Communications Commission on Monday.
"The policies of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism are focused mainly on providing
fair and equal opportunity to artists, boosting innovative businesses in the cultural sphere
and bringing culture closer to the people."
To support innovative growth in culture, sports and tourism,... the ministry plans to boost
startups and creative projects in those three areas by creating funds worth around 140 million
U.S. dollars for each of them.
Specifically for the tourism industry, the ministry will invest in attracting tourists
from new and growing markets, including Southeast Asian countries and India.
The sports industry will also see some innovative changes, for example, by the use of the latest
sensor and graphic technologies in sports training to help athletes improve their performance.
The ministry also designated 2018 as "the year of the book" and will support projects
to promote reading,... such as transforming more ordinary bookstores into cultural spaces
where people can enjoy beverages and attend lectures by authors.
The Ministry of Education also seeks to implement innovative systems that nurture talent for
the 4th Industrial Revolution.
To move away from education focused on exams and competition, the ministry will introduce
a "free-learning year" during which first-year middle school students will not have to take
exams but rather attend classes more focused on participation and discussion.
The KCC focused its policies on providing broadcasting content for the people and protecting
their personal information.
The Commission will strengthen its monitoring and reporting systems... to provide accurate
news... and to block inappropriate content.
It also wants to make sure people's personal information is kept safe when it's sent to
businesses overseas.
For that, the KCC will encourage firms to follow a set of international guidelines and
principles issued by APEC.
"The Ministry of Education and the KCC have said they will also improve their communication
with the people by gathering public opinion and reflecting it in their policies.

The Diorama Project is actually a lot of things in one project.
In fact, some children work together to prepare a small theatre play.
The Diorama Project are also four discs that are sticked together
like two walls and a floor.
And then, you should program something
to make the disc rotate.
We had chosen a theme,
so we made a mindmap
about male, female and gender neutral.
Boys and girls are not different.
It is not because boys can do things better,
or because girls can draw better,
that girls are better than boys
or boys are better than girls.
What we did first,
was writing a story
and write it on the computer,
type it on the computer
My group, for example, decide that a girl would become a boy.
We made the diorama with some cardboard.
The teacher had drawn something
that we had to cut out with such a special knife.
Next, we painted it in a different colour.
The most puppets we made with...
this kind of wooden things.
- Wine corks. - Yes, wine corks!
Yes, and using a glue gun was the most fun!
After that, we recorded the text with a computer.
We did voice-acting!
(Except for some minor housekeeping tasks...)
There was a Youtube video
that we had to watch
and do exactly the same as in the video
to build everything and precisely put it in place
and orientate what should be where.
It was a little difficult to do so.
During programming
we watched the computer together
while we discussed.
Then, we had to fill in some numbers
to make it turn.
Because we were super happy!
After we finished everything, we filmed our theatre.
My job was taking care of the audio.
and now: video-editing!
We really liked the Diorama Project!
We have done a lot of things.
Working together for seven weeks was not always easy,
but we learned a lot from it!
