Renewing Items Online - Tarleton Libraries, Tarleton State University - Duration: 2:30.

To renew your items online. go to www.tarleton.edu/library.

Scroll past the images to the Services section. Click on Renew Items.

Input your NTNET credentials.

These are the same credentials you use

to log onto the computers on campus

or your Blackboard account.

Next you'll see a screen with five tabs:

Personal Information, Checkouts, Holds, Fines, and Requests.

This page defaults to your personal information:

your full name, address, phone number, and University ID number.

The second tab is Checkouts, where you can renew your items.

It also lists all the items currently checked out

to your Library account.

The third tab is Holds, where you can see any items

you may have put a hold on.

The fourth tab is Fines.

This shows any bills that you may have accrued.

You can pay these bills on your Texan bill account.

The fifth tab is Requests. This shows any requests you may have placed.

To renew your items go back to the Checkout tab.

You can renew all of your books at once

or you can choose an individual book. We're going to just choose one book.

Click the check mark into the box.

Click on Renew and confirm your renewal.

If you scroll down you'll see that the book was successfully renewed.

And it gave you a new due date.

Brokaw Archives at University of Iowa - Duration: 1:21.

Right now I'm going through and processing the collection that we got in

2016 from Tom Brokaw. We have everything from appointment books to passports,

press badges, everything you can think of from his life and career. The things I'm

looking at right now are a couple different sets of letters. We've got a

lot of letters and correspondence between famous people, politicians, actors,

artists. And so right here we have a letter from Tom Hanks and his wife Rita.

But then on the flip side, we have thousands of letters from ordinary

citizens to Tom Brokaw. And he's gone through and he's highlighted different

things because he read every single letter that came to him. That then

inspired "Greatest Generation Speaks" and then he got so much response from that

that "Album of Memories" came out. This collection has been a tremendous gift to

me. I've gotten to see the steps that it takes to get a collection moving and

ready for the public. But it's also--it's also challenged me in a lot of ways and

working in the archives sometimes things don't seem important to you right away

but you don't know what other people are going to see. In the sense my job is to

preserve this so that people can look at it and make their own

assumptions about the collection.

Yanzhe Ma - Computer Science student from Northwestern Polytechnical University - Duration: 1:33.

Hello everyone my name is Yanzhe Ma and I'm from the Northwestern Polytechnical

University and come here to Binghamton University for the master's

degree and I'm from the computer science department As for Binghamton,

I think it is a pretty good university.

Firstly, the environment: the air is fresh and clear, which is quite different from

China. And secondly, the food is delicious, not only

has the steak pizza, but also has the Chinese food.

I love it! And I know it's a very important part,

for the education: the professors are very nice, they will

answer all the question you ask, and actually the homework is very heavy.

In fact, I only spent three months here, but the code I

wrote is quite different and difficult than the code I

wrote in China which I spent there three years.
