Hello and welcome to another reaction video by me the DSpyro.

Today will be round three of the Equestria Girls Digital Series by Hasbro on YouTube.

Episodes seven to ten.

Because, I thought it would be better to complete the first row of ten episodes, not watching five shorts - that would be until episode eleven.

Yeah...

...that's the reason why it's only four shorts today.

Therefore, let's not waste any time and start directly. I'm already very curious what will await me this time.

(Today again with the better webcam!)

I don't know. To be honest, I really don't know.

...there were three new characters, who make their first appearance in the Equestria Girls episodes.

Zephyr Breeze, Cranky Doodle and...

...who was the third one?

I already forgot it.

Probably, it wasn't so important.

Whatever...uhm...

But the fact...oh yeah, Starswirl was the thrid one.

But the fact, that they included a parody of "Alice in Wonderland"...

...why's that?

Why? I hate this movie and then, you used the dumbest scene in the hole movie for that.

Man...

Well...

...don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that these shorts were bad, that's not the case. To the contrary, I really enjoyed them.

Except the one - "My little shop of horros". The song got a little bit on my nerves.

But apart from that, the shorts were awesome again.

But...

...there were...

...there were some strange things. Let's just say it like that.

And...

...I'm really curious, what they can come up with in the next shorts.

Umm...there are probably still a lot of epsisodes that will come.

Well, I think so...of course, I have no idea how much they have planed, but I would estimate that...

...it will maybe like the volume of a season, so 26 shorts for the first season.

I assume that...I don't really know the plans of Hasbro, but you can even guess.

Yeah...apart from that, I only would like to mention that...if I'm watching the Equestria Girls shorts already...

...umm...soon in February, the next Equestria Girls movie will be released, if I've seen it right.

It will be only 45 minutes, I guess...but count as the fifth part of this row. I'm really looking forward to that...

...I mean the fourth part was an open-ending. There must be a sequel.

...and I'm curious, what awaits us in there.

Hopefully...something positive again.

So...

I think, there is nothing more to say for me. Everything what I wanted to say, I already said and...

I belive you have seen that I do not quite agree with some things, but ok...

...let us don't pick every little thing

EARLY MAN (2018) - Maisie Williams & Tom Hiddleston Interview | Dominique Digital this week - Duration: 6:11.

I play Goona, who is a football fanatic

but, because she is a woman, is not allowed to play on the sacred turf

And she comes across this caveman, Dug,

who is a bit of a loose end

and the Bronze Age, in which she lives, wants to take over his valley

and he's...him and his tribe have to play said Bronze Age

at a game of football, and they're all pretty terrible

but she's very good and so she decides to help them

and in turn gets to play on the sacred turf with the tribe.

So Lord Nooth is the governor of the Bronze Age town

and he is kind of - apart from being physically very big -

he is very pompous and puffed up

and frustrated and self important

and he's kind of the villain of the piece in lots of ways

he wants to, he's got a sort of ploy to get as much bronze as he can

elevate his own status

and use the early man tribe to work down the mines

to find more bronze

but he's wrong-footed by the pluckiness of Dug and his fellow men and women

so, yeah, he's just a frustrated middle manager really

in the wrong place

From an actor's point of view the main difference is that your facial expressions and your body language

has been stripped away and you're forced to use your voice and only your voice

which sounds easier than it is

I think I really a lot on my facial expressions and my body language when conveying

particular emotions and then when you're in the booth and you're trying to channel

that all into your voice and you listen to it back

and you think, "Actually that doesn't sound

anything like I would have thought it did"

So it's just a completely new set of skills that I had to learn

but thoroughly enjoyed doing and Nick is so wonderful at getting the right performance out of you

and staying with it and being extremely encouraging

and knows - it's strange when you're talking about just one simple line

of dialogue and the way in which he can explain

what he's trying to get from it

and the words he uses to make you understand

how he wants to hear this particular line

It's very interesting and I'm very grateful to be working with him on this.

I think the challenge is in finding the vocal

energy to match the larger-than-life physical energy of these clay characters

because there's something un-naturalistic about the vocal performance

especially Nooth, who is larger than life in so many ways

but I enjoyed it very much and I've been such an admirer of Aardman

and of Nick Park for so long

and he made me laugh endlessly in the sound studio

and we - there's this sort of game of tennis where he would suggest something

and I'd do it and he'd go, "Oh, that's good. Try this"

and it felt very free and fun and experimental

and he seemed happy so...yeah.

I'm from Bristol, which is where Aardman Studios is based

So it's been kinda surreal to be honest

I grew up so hooked on these films I actually tried to make my own stop motion little clips I guess

I don't even know if they'd be clips

They'd probably be maybe like ten pictures

(laughing)

but yeah I was just so inspired by these films from a very very young age

It really is just surreal

and a dream come true

and seeing Goona for the first time

the puppet, was a really really special moment for me

I think it's a lot of people's dream to have a little

well, either to have a version of themself

in the Aardman world

or to, you know, have their own character that they

bring to life. It's just - it's special. It's really special.

They're very touching

and they're actually more complex than they seem

and they're accessible from a child's perspective

and they're accessible from an adult's perspective

and both in their tone and in their story and their sense of humour

and I think

that's an extraordinary balance

that they strike

So I just feel very lucky to be in them.
