Hobby Farmers: are you protected?
Have you ever been driving and seen one of those
roadside vegetable stands?
Well, there's a lot more to that whole operation than you'd think!
Take Nigel for instance! Let's say he's a hobbyist farmer!
Let's say he's a hobbyist farmer.
And things start to go pretty well!
Customers are like, "These are the best!"
Nigel's thinking, "I've got a pretty good thing going here!"
Buuut unfortunately, unbeknownst to everyone, all of the eggs were completely spoiled.
It was NOT good!
In all seriousness, if you sell eggs or produce from your garden
raise cows, goats, chickens (or maybe even a pride of ostriches) as a hobby or
as a side gig, you may be running a small business and you need to be protected!
