Melania Trump, 48, got into the festive spirit early this year, and have had the White House
beautifully decorated four weeks before Christmas.
The First Lady took to Instagram to share an insight into the White House at Christmas,
showing off the glistening festivities and an extensive number of Christmas trees – including
rows of vibrant red Christmas trees.
Wearing a stylish Stella McCartney coat – the one she wore to fly back from Florida this
weekend – and red leather gloves, Melania can be seen in the video and pictures adjusting
some of the decorations and strolling among the rows of trees.
While the entrance hall is decked with Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes, one of the
corridors is lined with pointy red trees of different heights.
The short film also gives a close-up look at some of the intricate ornaments, with one
glass tree decoration featuring an engraved image of the White House.
Meanwhile, one large room holds huge Christmas trees in every corner, each adorned with twinkling
lights and red and gold features.
Two huge trees sit either side of a grand fireplace and an ornate version of the White
House sits atop one of the mantelpieces.
Melania also shared some stunning images from her walk around the house, revealing a doorway
dressed with boughs of Holly and the American flag hanging proudly to the left.
She captioned the images: "The White House is sparkling this Christmas season!"
And alongside the video she wrote: "The People's House @WhiteHouse is ready to celebrate
Christmas and the holiday season!"
The Instagram posts were soon flooded with comments from people left in awe of the extravagant
decor.
Melania seemingly filmed the video after touching down back in Washington, after having spent
Thanksgiving weekend in Florida.
For the festive snaps the First Lady wrapped up warm in a longline navy jacket by Stella
McCartney.
It also featured pretty a pink stripe around the collar of its v-neck design.
She paired the smart jacket with a pair of knee-high navy boots with a chunky heel, and
stand-out red leather gloves.
The wife of Donald Trump looked as glamorous as always, styling her brunette locks into
subtle waves tousled around her shoulders.
Just days before the Trumps had welcomed the arrival of the official White House Christmas
tree.
The 19.5 foot Fraser fir was selected from a farm in North Carolina, owned by Larry Smith
of Newland.
The White House has been decorated for Christmas with care and first lady Melania Trump has
unveiled its patriotic theme, which contain nods to the first family's various interests,
the president's love of buildings, her 'Be Best' campaign and Barron Trump's love of
soccer.
The theme is 'American Treasures,' the East Wing announced Monday morning, adding that
the decor will honor the 'unique heritage of America.'
The first lady designed the theme and layout, focusing on the spirit of patriotism, the
East Wing said.
And the colors red, white and blue dominate the decorations, seen in a video Melania Trump
posted to her Twitter feed, which shows the first lady walking through the White House
and examining the results of hundreds of volunteers, who decorated the residence while the first
family were in West Palm Beach over Thanksgiving.
There are several decorative themes that touch on the first family's personal interests.
The White House's Red Room, which is designed to appeal to children, features 'Be Best'
ornaments, the first lady's signature initiative, and soccer ball ornaments, likely a nod to
Barron Trump's love of the game.
The tree in there is filled with items Barron Trump would love, including the soccer ball
ornament and cell phone ornaments.
The tree also has ornaments paying tribute to kids' favorite activities, including a
skate board, a karate uniform, a film board clapper, cheese pieces, ice skates, books
and a baseball glove.
The mantle is covered in white ornaments with Be Best written in red and white, all part
of the first lady's signature campaign.
