Here at Innovation Hotspot, we collaborate with Fresno State campus to find innovative

solutions to benefit I was one of the two student interns

back in 2017 and now we have gone to 12 interns collaborating in many innovation

interest. I'm working with Max the innovation architect on the AI chatbots

developing Bulldog UI framework it will provide a conversational UI and interactive

player options for various commercial and open source bot systems.

At Innovation Hotspot I worked on revamping the innovation hub website as well as

designing the user interface for our virtual conversation partner project.

I now work to analyze project requirements and prepare them for the

production phase through working in collaboration with a variety of

developers outside of my specialty. I've gained marketable skills in the

workplace such as the knowledge of front-end web development

I have also attained project management and business goals that will help benefit me in my future career.

We're currently working on the Blockcerts

project which utilizes the open badges standard along with blockchain

technology. Working at innovations has been beneficial in exposed me to a lot

of new technologies many of which are taught in classrooms but I've gotten to experience here.

I've been working on the Immersive hotspot website and the

Immersive Future club website along with the virtual tours I like the atmosphere of

working with other developers and creators and getting to work on new

things. My hopes that it will expand far beyond what is now so that more people

are able to get into like these new developing technologies.

I'm working oneSports ecosystem it's a new immersive digital gaming experience.

You can use Oculus Go and Unity in it it's a new way of seeing virtual reality.

My favorite part of working at innovations is my

coworkers we also have a lot of fun after work we go to movies and picnics as well.

I love working at innovations because we have an inclusive company

culture that encourages collaboration everyone's opinions are respected and we

all work together to reach our goal of igniting technology innovation.

In the future I hope that innovations can continue to foster Fresno State's

technology services by providing a new project as well as providing

opportunities to future students looking to get into the industry.

I hope we grow bigger so we can inspire students to utilize new technology to

ignite and fuel their talents

Anxiety - Panic Attacks - Digital Nomad: Take Care Of Your Mental Health - My Digital Nomad Story - Duration: 15:48.

Hey guys, what's going on?

I'm in Hamburg, Germany

one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, I would say

Definitely a city which I spend a lot of time with

and I'm meeting someone I made friends with yesterday

a guy from Bulgaria living in Copenhagen, Denmark

so this the..

I actually don't know how this part of the city is called

close to the train station

where all the stores are

like the shopping malls, shopping streets

and by the way

there is probably the best Vietnamese restaurant

in Hamburg

it's called "Quan Do" (Red Restaurant)

over there

I'm just not hungry yet so

maybe I'll grab a snack later over there

alright

so he told me he's in Roncalli grand cafe

never been there

I'm normally not in this part of the town

because it's just crowded it's hard to get a parking spot

and I actually don't know what to do here

apart from buying things

so let's see what's going on in this cafe now

speaking of buying things..

on a Sunday in Germany, everything is closed

so you cannot actually buy things

you can't go in to any stores

because everything is closed

but there's still a couple of people here

I mean, what are they all doing?

they're probably coming from the.. yeah

they're probably going somewhere traveling

and these guys over there

are having some kind of a party

I just saw a gigantic stormtrooper, check this out!

these are the guys who cannot aim

It's pretty cool!

I loved playing lego when I was a kid

I actually still like it

feels a bit like a ghost town here

oh cool, we have double-decker buses

in Germany, I didn't know

Stadtrundfahrt is like a sight seeing truck

alright, that's the cafe

Roncalli grand cafe

looks fancy

Hey guys! You're going live on Facebook? Over there.

just going there to.. -That's cool!

Alright, so we're live from Hamburg, from a..

Roncalli grand cafe

Hey guys! -So who wants to start?

Who are you man? -I'm Till

I'm a vlogger, I vlog for Vietnamese audience

I live in Vietnam

I work in.. I have an IT start-up

like an education startup, right now I'm here

I'm excited to meet you guys

I have no idea who you are

I'm Yan, I'm actually a consultant for a..

start-up. I used to live in Berlin for 6 years

It was really interesting to hear his story goes,

you know, here's this guy he's pretty confident

he's doing a lot of stuff

and you'd think that he had it all figured out

I like.. I don't know, 2 years ago I started

to actually having panic attacks at work because

pressure's pretty.. it was too much

Like in Berlin, I was working for a startup that got

a lot of money and I was the interim head of product

for that company

so investors wanted more and faster and

I was the person to deliver

because I'm in the development team

Yeah, that was the first time in my life that I

actually experienced panic attacks and..

anxiety so over the course of 2 years that

you know, I ended up in the hospital because

of an injury in the neck, & almost ended up in a wheelchair

so it got only more problematic and my

head was spinning with all these worries and anxiety

and then when I realized a friend of mine

was actually taking a lot of money from me without

me realizing, I decided it would be a good idea

to tell that person, "Hey, f*ck the money but

we can still be friends and try to figure it out.'

and then take magic mushrooms

from that person because you know, it's fun

so that was the beginning of the journey

to anxiety and panic attacks.

How does it feel to have a bad attack?

is it something that, like, you can understand like..

I'm having a panic attack, or is it like you're feeling

I'm out of control like I don't have panic attacks

but I'm sure many people..

Yeah, so in the beginning it was a...

It was not that strong

like when I'm at work, it was more like

your heart's racing, you're sweating, and you're like

you feel like you're losing control

but it's gone after maybe 10 minutes or something

but some people have it for I don't know,

years, days, decades and it's

super physically strong and it feels like you're dying

so you cannot relate to this

if you've never felt it before, it's..

hard to explain

So.. what about the mushrooms?

Yeah, I can only recommend

doing that but only with a professional person on the side

that can guide you through the experience but

I mean in the end I'm super thankful that it happened

because like the mushrooms opened up a part of me that

was closed down. My emotions were

closed down and I never felt them

so they actually were the key to

my personal growth and journey

What are some other steps that you took and like, did you

start reading books or meditating, what did you do?

so in the beginning I thought you know..

I'm sick that it must be some reason why

I'm experiencing this so I was researching a lot of a

about you know, food and nutrition

and I've read this book and I thought, ok if I

change my nutrition. You know my brain

would work better and I won't experience this

anymore. So I tried to find the reason why

in the external without understanding that the

reason or the solution is inside of me

and the day I decided to

take responsibility for that

and accept that I have a problem with

my money, that was the day when things changed.

So I started to you know, find a therapist

I started to read up on anxiety and panic attacks

there was a time before that where I didn't

accept my new reality

and that's something that I would

like to share with everyone, if you are in

that position, then just accept

that it's such a new reality and try to move forward and try to

do the things that will get you in a journey to

get better.

What do you think about that?

I'm not putting you on the spot, I just..

I never really struggled with my mental health

I even did the, I never normally meditate

I did the Vipassana meditation retreat

I went through that without any problems

so I think I'm good

How did that work for you?

I also did the Vipassana. -For 10 days?

It was easy, it was 10 days I really enjoyed.

Not needing to talk, not being able to talk

and after the first few days..

the world come down and like all that, what I..

I think what I got rid of was kinda the anxiety of

failing my business, that was the good part.

Everybody has that

and there's still something left but most of it

went after these 10 days.

So tell me more about the, I actually don't know what you do..

What do you do? What is your story?

Ok, my story quick is, I'm a

computer scientist

I studied 5 years in Germany. Computer Science

and at the same time I had a company

where we worked developed software products

for the people.

And upon graduation..

I had this crisis of me where

I don't know If I would actually..

if I'm meant to be in an officer in Germany

and then I had this diploma

and like wow what am I gonna do now?

and then we closed the company and then I went to Asia

and that was five years ago

What do you mean? You just got a ticket and...

I just got a one way ticket to Bangkok

I needed to built something more meaningful

I was trying to find the next steps and that took some time..

because I had to learn marketing

I started a marketing agency

tried to learn as much as I could in 4 years

and after these 4 years..

then I actually started to build something

that has meaning now

which is a language learning chatbot

and that's out now in Vietnam

it's gaining traction slowly..

and that's where I put most of my time in

and that's what gives me meaning in life

and it took me a long time to find out

By the meaning

where do you find the meaning in this product?

because living in Vietnam, I know that most

people try to learn English but

at mediocre at best

cause it's still hard, it's disconnected from

all the sound system.

We have a lot of things to share

with the Asian world, the Asian world has

a lot of things to share with us

and there need to be a connection

like, and I wanna help the people make THAT connection

A friend of mine, Nick. I don't know if you're watching, Nick.

But I love that you gave me this perspective-wise

I was going through a breakup

with a girl and..

I'm like, I know it's going to be some

not so pleasant timing and

he was like, 'Dude, you're a freakin' dreamer.'

You have really high goals, and dreams..

a lot of pain you go through is

the investment, it's the price that you wanna pay

if you want to live this life

so think about it deeper down your feeling down

you're feeling in pain

you're feeling emotionally kinda crushed

this is your upfront payment

for the dream you're gonna live

it is just part of the process

you probably won't reach the goal

but the thing is..

how much are you gonna grow as a character

ok. -Through this process

So in the end it's important to understand

that your thoughts and your emotions

or maybe your thought, your thoughts are..

it's not you, you know. You can...

disconnect from your thoughts

see that is something happening to you but your

emotions are actually

your emotions are actually an important part of yourself

telling you, at least the negative emotions,

that something's not right

so most people when they experience strong negative emotions

they'd rather pop a pill, rather than get over with it

than you know.. just accepting these feelings

trying to understand what's behind these feelings

so, to me, anxiety and panic attacks are pure life force

it's life force telling me

'Dude, you're going into the wrong direction'..

and I don't want you to be there..'

Anxiety, I mean, it's a strong negative emotion..

and you when you feel it, it's...

not pleasant

but when you try to get behind the feeling.. try

to ask yourself, like 'what is this that feeling trying to tell me?'

your subconscious is always giving you images

of what is going on...like a treatment and you'd

you're always aiming to learn something from

when you are able to steer your life in that other direction

you take decisions, maybe getting new apartment, maybe..

getting a new job

or quit that relationship that's toxic to you

there's always something

that is causing these emotions..

so I think it's more about getting..

in touch with yourself and

listening to your inner voice

and when this whole shit happened, I just..

went back in with my parents

cause I felt so shitty I couldn't do anything anymore

but that was the worst thing to do because.. yes

I felt safe for a little while but

I was also dependent on them

So what about you? How do you deal with the negative self-thoughts?

I don't have that so much anymore

and the reason for this is, I think because I found

something I wanna work for

and then I'm breaking down the steps towards

that goal and every time I met the step

it's easier for example, I wanna be healthy

I wanna die healthily, that's one of my goals, right?

Late and healthy

I just gotta go to the gym 2 times a week

that's it. It's not more complicated than that so..

I will just go one day

and every week and the 2nd day and then the 3rd day

and it's done

if I wanna get this product

I just need to put in time

so for example, if I'm developing a software I just

sit down and I just develop and I don't judge

how much I can get done. i just

put in the action so...

people confuse the effect and the action

they want to have the result, they want to have the effect

like being rich, having a product

like having big strong body

but what is more important that you should focus on

what are they doing, the action in front of it

I mean, I'm just curious of you guys in terms of some people say

you need to see things from a positive point of view and

people say, you have to be realistic

where do you think is the balance?

Then being realistic is also being negative because

you are always looking at reality from

a perspective of your experience

of your own past and you never can

you don't know what's happening tomorrow, maybe

tomorrow is the third world war, maybe tomorrow is

Trump got shot. I don't know

You know, but we can't foresee the future

and why would I be pessimistic about the future

if I can also be positive about my future -Yeah

It's pretty simple, if I can choose between positive or neutral..

I'd choose positive because it feels better

I love these guys, they're so funny!

and so insightful.

Alright, back to the car and then

to the park.

where some friends meet.

so before I visit my friends in the park

I'll get some food from the Turkish restaurant

and I have my plastic box

so we don't waste too much trash

that's what proper Germans do!

So this is the first kebab guy in Hamburg

1983!

That's cool!

It actually looks pretty good, so that's around

4.20 euros.. 5 dollars

and a thousand dong, it's not that bad

He will become a subscriber. What's your name?

Dennis. -Dennis -Yes

So Dennis is gonna subscribe to KEENtry.

Of course! -Dennis' gonna get me some salad

peppers and can I have some cheese, this one, oh yea perfect!

Nice! It's so nice here

Germans are really friendly

I'm getting tackled!

I'm just too light!

Top 5 - Best Procreate Brushes for Digital Painting - Duration: 6:49.

The top 5 best Procreate brushes

in my opinion

I am going to show you the 5 brushes that I like most in Procreate

so let's begin with number 5

at number 5 I have the wet acrylic brush

you can find it under 'artistic'

then go to wet acrylic

and this is the brush

and I like this brush because it gives a nice texture to your paintings

a nice painterly feel

so I like using this brush to add well, that painterly feel!

to my paintings or portraits

let's go to number 4!

at number 4, the fourth place

my favorite brush is the Skin Sparkle brush

it is part of my Skin Brushes set

and I use the Skin Sparkle brush to add that little bit of texture

to my portraits, a little bit of skin texture

so it adds, yeah.. a final touch

of realism to the skin of portraits

now let's continue to number 3!

third position, best Procreate brush to use for sketching

is in my opinion

the HB Pencil

I really think that this is the best Procreate brush for sketching

what I like to use for sketching

because it really feels like a real HB Pencil

depending on the angle of your Apple pencil

you can make these thick strokes or really thin

just like with a real pencil

so I really like using this Procreate brush for sketching

Let's go to the second place

on the second place of best Procreate brushes

I have the Lash brush

Lashes brush, it's part of my Eye Brush Set

and I really love using this brush to make eyelashes

because it has

it's thin at the end

it's just perfect for making eyelashes!

so that's why on the second place of this top 5 best Procreate brushes

is the Lashes brush

now finally, what you've been waiting for

on the first place of this top 5 best Procreate Brushes

in my humble opinion

is the brush that I sleep with, that I use every day

my most favorite brush, is well, it's named after me

it's the Basic Flo brush

it's the brush I use for all my paintings

it's a pretty simple brush actually

it's round and has some slightly ragged edges

and opacity set to pen pressure

and I love using this brush to

to block in large areas of color

but also sometimes for detailing, blending in colors

this is my go to brush

for just about anything

I can't live without this Procreate brush

so yeah that's my top 5 best Procreate brushes

let's do a little recap!

in the fifth place is the wet acrylic

you can find it under artistic in Procreate

I love using this brush to add a painterly texture to my paintings

number 4, well I can't really write with that one

but at number 4

is my Skin Sparkle brush

I like using the Skin Sparkle brush to add

skin sparkle! To portraits

it adds this nice subtle texture to your

portrait paintings in Procreate

and at the third place

we had, well I had

the HB Pencil

it feels just like a real HB Pencil

and I love using this HB Pencil for sketching in Procreate

at the second place

I had the Lashes brush

from my Eye Brush set

I just love using this brush to paint lashes in Procreate

it was a long search to find or to create this brush, to make lashes

and it works perfectly for me

to add lashes to portraits

and at number one, my number one favorite brush

like I said, in my basic set, the Basic Flo brush

I use it for just about everything

my all time favorite, best Procreate brush

the Basic Flo brush

so here is my top 5 best Procreate brushes

let me know if there are any brushes

or if there's a brush that is your absolute favorite

best Procreate brush

maybe there's a brush out there that I don't know of yet

and I would love to try it out, so let me know!

Punchbowl - Scratch & Sniff Digital Invitations - Duration: 1:37.

I remember the day our CEO came into my office

and said, "Punchbowl is going to launch Scratch & Sniff Digital Invitations for the holiday party season."

Moments like that in your career you just never forget.

Every year, Punchbowl delivers the most memorable digital party invitations for the holidays.

So I challenged our team once again:

How do we break through? What are the limits of our technology?

To deliver smell with a digital invite we had to solve a whole host of technical challenges.

We needed to simplify delivery of a scent while maintaining app performance.

It wasn't easy.

Candy Cane did not come out right the first time. It was really more of a spearmint than a peppermint.

But after a few iterations the engineering team got it right.

They nailed it.

When we set out to do this our goal was to capture the essence of the holidays.

That warm cozy feeling you get when you walk into your mom's house and smell turkey in the oven

or fresh-baked gingerbread cookies.

Scratch & Sniff Digital Invitations are all about communicating the warm feeling of the holidays in the digital age.

We've developed the most robust and innovative platform for sending digital invitations

and we'll never stop pushing the envelope on what's possible.

Wow.

Amazing.

Digital invitations that look and smell great? You've got to try this.

How to Put a GIF in G-Mail // Digital Distribution - Duration: 1:45.

In this video, we're going to walk through how to embed and hyperlink a GIF within an email.

So unfortunately, most email platforms don't support video

within an email, so a GIF is a great workaround because it reads to the

platform like an image, but it reads to users like a video.

So now let's walk through it.

I've drafted this email down here about our new vlog that I want to

show someone, and I've included a link that takes them to the video.

But a link isn't that sexy! if I got this email I wouldn't be that inclined to click on it.

So let's try a GIF instead.

There's a couple ways to do this. You can either click this "insert photo" button, but an

even easier way is to just find your file, get the GIF, and drag it in.

There we go!

Now you can resize a little bit if you want. I want to make mine a bit smaller.

Perfect. Right now if you click on it, it doesn't lead anywhere.

So we want to hyperlink it to a page on our website that actually contains the video itself.

Up here I have a blog with a video in it.

This is where I want people to be led.

So I'll copy that URL, come back over, highlight the GIF.

Just drag, drop, highlight, and then click this little hyperlink button.

Paste it in, okay you're ready to go!

What's even better is that this GIF has a play button overlaid on top, and the play

button is a really strong call to action so people want to click on that.

We hope you enjoyed this little workaround.

Hopefully it's helpful, thank you for watching!

ASAM 340 Digital Storytelling Project - Duration: 2:56.

how can food bring together cultures and new fusion recipes for all to share and

enjoy food has always been something that brings people together not only

doesn't nourish our bodies and souls but food connects people and cultures since

the beginning of time whether it's through cooking together sharing recipes

and meals or even simply tasting a new ethnic plate for instance following the

Korean War in the early 1950s most of Korea's citizens were starving and

impoverished many of them survived by accessing the leftover army rations that

fellow American soldiers left behind canned foods like beans and spam from

the barracks were used along with cheap vegetables like kimchi and onions to

produce a soup called budaejjigae also known as army base stew. Koreans were

able to assimilate these American processed foods to fit into their Korean

tastebuds by adding it as a substitute ingredient in their original Korean

recipes. For example the favorite Korean flavoring gochujang was always used in

these budaejjigae stews to provide that preferred spicy taste and since they

couldn't access the usual pork they normally would have used in stews they

instead substituted the spam and beans as their protein. considering all the

post-war starving people in need Koreans were able to survive with the help of

the surplus food that American soldiers left behind they were able to assimilate

American ingredients into their Korean recipes to produce affordable fusion

stews that helped feed the hungry they shows how food brought a connection of

cultures that provided nourishment and a new fusion of foods and culture now budae

jjigae is a popular Korean dish favored by all types of people for its mix of

American and Korean taste I believe this dish introduces and

invites people especially those who are unfamiliar with Korean food to enjoy and

appreciate the Korean palate perhaps people will be more willing to try other

Korean recipes in feature following the delightful taste

of this budaejjigae. the stew is varied in its taste since everyone produces

their own version of this stew by incorporating different ingredients or

spices according to their personal preference however the base ingredients

of gochujang spam onions kimchi and ramen noodles along with additional

ingredients of one's choosing will produce a spicy flavorful stew that will

have everyone's tongue wagging for more

Digital Tools and Diabetes Care Among Latinos - Duration: 3:55.

There have definitely been lots of apps that have been promoted out there for health and

one of my skepticisms is that – have these actually been looked at?

Do they make a difference for our patients today when we recommend them?

We have a high population of Latino patients in our community.

And one of the things we found was that many of them use mobile phones.

As a matter of fact, probably much more than they have access to computers in their home.

Project Dulce was a program that we created 21 years ago where we tried to integrate,

and we did integrate, nurse care management together with peer-led education into the

Latino community to try and improve care, and also work side-by-side with primary care

physicians to help them ease the burden of taking care of a chronic illness.

And we thought texting would be the best approach.

We translated our curriculum into 160 messages approximately.

Each message could not have more than 140 to 160 characters as a text.

There were educational, motivational, and reminder messages that came through.

So things like, "Tick-tock, it's time to take your medication."

Very simple, short messages.

And those were sent out 2 to 3 times a day over a six-month time period.

There was a one percent decrease in hemoglobin A1C between the intervention group and the

usual care group.

They liked the simplicity.

They liked the ease.

It was very low cost and they liked the reminders.

They felt like someone was thinking about them and their diabetes and helping them to

manage it.

Digital tools and technology can really take on a very broad range when you think about

it.

Texting is one method that we used.

It can be everything from the EMR [Electronic Medical Record] – and being able to communicate

via the EMR and the portal with a patient directly and securely – to digital retinal

scans.

You can send, wirelessly, glucose measurements to a cloud and then have that feedback – reports

to a care manager or to a physician.

And then being able to manage that patient remotely rather than with a direct visit in

your environment and in your clinic.

This can be good for people that have transportation issues, other difficulties, child care, or

work that interferes with them coming in for medical care.

Some of the difficulties that we've found with patients include things like, ¬is there

a telephone compatible with what you need for that app?

We're finding that every time a change is made in the app, if your phone isn't compatible,

you can't upload it, you can't use it.

Is the app itself simple enough for someone to understand what they need to do?

There's a lot of steps involved in communication with apps and every time you make that step

a little bit more complex, it's a disincentive to that patient to be able to use it easily.

And even the reports – if a physician needs to look at the reports, if it's difficult

for us to bring those reports up and be able to view them, then that's a barrier also.

So, anything that can make those steps easier would be valuable.

For physicians, sometimes it's a little bit difficult to think of.

Don't create that end product that you think is right.

Start with something simple, and then allow it to progress with the needs of the population.

Pourquoi Schneider Electric a créé sa Digital Services Factory | Industry X.0 - Duration: 3:52.

WHAT IS THE DIGITAL SERVICES FACTORY?

The Digital Services Factory is both a team and a process

available to Schneider Electric's lines of business

to support our digital acceleration

and the creation of new Schneider Electric digital offerings.

When we set up the Digital Services Factory,

we faced a typical situation for many companies today:

a lot of experimenting, a lot of small projects

that didn't necessarily always lead to products placed on the market.

A lot resources consumed, a lot of lost time.

We wanted to create a digital transformation initiative

provided by the Digital Services Factory.

And through the Digital Services Factory, we support and work with

Schneider Electric's various businesses

in their digital transformation.

WHY THIS STRUCTURE?

If we look back at the two years prior to

setting up the Digital Services Factory,

when the digital transformation core team

was put in place, we started out with a fairly technological approach:

the creation of a platform, technological creation,

the creation of technological components... that is still here today,

which represents the heart, the foundation of what is called

EcoStruxure at Schneider Electric, which is our architecture

and our IoT solution.

But this technological approach was not enough,

because to really drive

the acceleration of offer

developments with Schneider Electric's business,

we were missing something

beyond technology consumption.

And what we were missing was greater customer perspective,

a better crossroads between technology

and the needs of the customer.

And also, parallel to the design of the offer,

the design of the business model and the operating model:

how the offer is sold, how it is maintained,

how it is supported,

to truly succeed commercially with the given offer.

So through the Digital Services Factory, we have transformed

our approach from a very techno-centric one

to a truly customer-centric, business-centric approach,

which has been a very important step

for the acceleration of the digital transformation.

WHAT OBJECTIVES?

To accelerate the placing of offers on the market,

in volume, of course, but also to increase the level of quality,

that is, to increase the level of impact we have on customers,

to increase the level of value that is created for the customer

so as to have the best global selling point through these offers.

In the approach that is focused on technology

and not focused enough on value, the risk I find,

in a lot of IoT environments, is a bit the risk of gadgetization.

Offers that are technologically very exciting,

but that don't solve a customer's specific problem.

Offers that don't create the expected value, and which in turn are defined as difficult

to support and to develop commercially.

So through the Digital Services Factory, we really

focus on creating added value for the customer.

Creating added value for the customer, a business model that allows us to say,

if we create so much value for the customer,

what is the share of that value that is fair for us to transact.

And through that, we have an offer that has

the best chances of commercial success.

And if that offer, even when it is already placed on the market,

does not reach the maximum commercial success yet,

our method allows us to have permanent iteration

in search of an adaptation,

to best serve the customer's need.

So the method also entails an approach that is no longer linear,

the way we used to do before in some R&D projects,

hardware type or big projects, as we'd have at Schneider Electric.

But rather a much more iterative, much more agile approach,

much more flexible,

with the capacity to learn, to err, to change direction.

And then, ultimately, to bring about the solution that the customer needs.
