Hello! (in French and Japanese)

Today we welcome a guest

D: Whats your name? K: It's Katharina Grimm!

D: It's nice to meet you! K: Take good care of me D: Let's work well together!

I'm David from France

Where are you from?

I'm from Germany

Ah, Germany! It's close to France!

We're walking along the beach

Please, take a close look! How do you like it?

It's so beautiful - I love the sea!

Really? You can even swim here!

Today the weather isn't too hot, it's just perfect!

Yeah, I'm really glad

Japan is really hot, right?

In Mochimune I am your senpai!

So today in Mochimune...

I want to show you a great store!

Yes, please. Show me the way, senpai!

Japanese summer is crazy hot so

I want to introduce you to a cool place

Yes, please!

Let's go!

Yeah, let's go!

(Gaijins walk while music is playing in the background)

Take a look!

There are many different flavors!

The have a lot of Japanese-esque flavors!

Like Matcha or Shirasu (baby Tuna)

Those tiny little fish!

They made ice cream out of it

What's next...

They also have Wasabi flavored ice cream

And they even have Japanese Sake as a flavor

K: Wow, that's great! D: But I don't think it contains real Sake

D: So it's alright to eat. Ah, look! There it is!

D: Finally, we can eat! K: It looks delicious!

Shirasu!

Wasabi!

Ah, Wasabi flavor! But for Wasabi it isn't that green, right?

Even less green than Matcha. Just a tiny bit green.

D: Alright then, let's eat! K: Yeah, let's eat!

Ittadakimasu!

I'm saying "Ittadakimasu" even though I've already started eating

It tastes sweet

Yeah, it's really sweet

The Wasabi isn't strong at all

So I'm eating yogurt Shirasu so...

...the yogurt flavor is stronger

It tastes like yogurt - It's delicious!

But still, I can feel the Shirasu

Look! You can even see the small Shirasu

There are these tiny black dots

That's the Shirasus head (its eyes)

If I say it like that it's a bit scary, right?

How does your ice cream taste like?

It's very good and not too strong

The Wasabi flavor doesn't come out that much

D: So it's sweet? K: Yeah, it's sweet

Is it spicy?

No, not at all

D: So sweet and delicious to eat? K: Yes, exactly!

That's good. It's all delicious!

Alright, so let's take our time to eat!

D: Thank you for today! K: Thank you for your hard work!

Today was really tough! So, do you want to come to Mochimune again?

Yes, absolutely!

So please come again to hang out some time!

When will you next come to Japan?

Probably next year

Next year? Please visit Mochimune again then!

D: Until then! K: Bye, bye!

(The stone skipped) four times!

NICE!

USA vs Japan Garbage & Recycling Comparison - Duration: 6:38.

I'm at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

They've been cleaning this airport up a little bit lately...

but there is always something I have never been able to understand.

They finally have made a designated smoking area...

But there is so much regular garbage inside this thing, its gonna set on fire!!

And is the top of this thing really designed for putting out your cigarette?!?!?

At the end of the day, there are still cigarettes all over the ground!

I wonder why they just don't put some normal ashtrays...

Easy to use ashtrays and a garbage can could really help this situation out...

I'm inside the LAX International Tom Bradley terminal now...

I really believe we can do better than this garbage box situation...

Once you finally find a garbage can here to throw something out in....

they are overflowing with garbage!

You couldn't throw anything away if you wanted to!

Also, very different than Japan, there is nothing which clearly indicates what to throw away in each can.

I'm assuming from the shape of this it is for magazines and newspapers...

But over here, its not really clear what's going on...

Plastics mixed with combustibles...

It is a total mess!

I wish America would be a little more like Japan when it comes to trash collection and recycling...

There has to be a better way than this!

I'm in Japan now...

Compared to the garbage cans and ashtray garbage cans I saw at LAX, these are quite different.

As I mentioned in LAX, you really have no idea what to throw away where...

but here in Japan, it has been made very easy.

Personally I have never seen it quite to this degree though!

This is a testament to the extreme attention to detail the Japanese have.

Anyone can figure this system out... even if you cannot read, the pictures make it pretty clear what goes where.

Cans... Plastic Bottles, Glass and Boxes, Plastic items, and...

This is the first time I've seen compost as well.

Left over food and "soiled" paper go in here...

Newspapers, magazines... It's very easy to figure out.

It's pretty obvious from this set up that the Japanese are really serious about recycling.

In America we talk about recycling a lot...

but we certainly don't take it to this degree!!

Even if we don't go to this extent, I believe we can certainly come up with a better system than we have....

If you don't make it easy and understandable to use, people aren't going to even try to use it.

I have to admit that this may be overkill!!

There is so many cans you might actually get confused!!!

I'm sure there are people who just throw stuff inside one can without separating the items...

But with a system this easy, it would be a poor excuse not to cooperate in the proper separation of your trash.

You don't even need to read.. just follow the pictures...

Here at Paifico Yokohama they also have a very detailed, bilingual explanation of the entire recycling process...

"They have a goal for 100% recycling"

and work hard everyday to achieve that goal.

They appreciate your cooperation in the proper sorting of your waste.

This compost explanation is pretty interesting too...

The waste is taken to the Yokohama Incineration Facility...

then it is burned and turned into Boiler Energy and Power Energy...

That's cool to know how to works!

Very nice!!

This is another "Only in Japan" type of example

It's very impressive!!

Let's do better America!!!

As an American I think there is a lot we can learn from the Japanese in this respect...

Awesome!

with his attack type Bey.

Takuto gained points steadily with stamina type Beys.

Even though he gave way for a while, Haruto had the momentum

and won by impressive Burst Finish.

Semifinals, first match.

At this point, a new stadium with spinning plates was introduced.

While Kurei replaced all his Beys,

Ryugo chose the same Beys as before.

Taking advantage of the new stadium,

Kurei advanced to the finals with a straight win.

Semifinals, second match.

Halfway through and the excitement increases.

Itsuki battled against Haruto.

Although he had a great lead, Itsuki found himself cornered.

But an extraordinary attack by his Wonder Valtryek

gave him the win by Burst Finish.

Third-place match.

Two semifinalists competed.

Not only power and technique, but mental strength was required.

Ryugo renewed his Bey lineup that caused his defeat

and achieved a straight win.

He won against Haruto and finished third.

Final match.

Kurei vs Itsuki

The two Bladers that won through all.

Tension rises between them.

Using a heavy performance tip with powerful Wonder Valtryek,

Itsuki won by a Ring Out Finish.

Next, Kurei used the Wonder Valtryek with the heavy performance tip.

He was successful to even the score with a Ring Out Finish.

In the third battle, Kurei used a defense type.

Itsuki used a stamina type.

Itsuki has an advantage in Bey type,

but Kurei won with the same Bey in the semifinals.

But it was not enough to turn the odds, and Itsuki won the third battle.

In the fourth battle, the unexpected happened.

Though Kurei's Archer Hercules gradually started to wobble,

the spinning plates assisted the Bey, winning him a Ring Out Finish.

The tournament was to be decided in the final fifth battle.

The Bladers chose their final Bey...

Wonder Valtryek.

He chose Wonder Valtryek.

Itsuki's choice of Bey is...

Archer Hercules.

Who will win the ticket to the World Championship?

The last battle, here we go!

Ready, set...

When the tension and heat reached the climax,

the moment of triumph came suddenly.

A dramatic Burst Finish ended the long match.

The great battle by the two Bladers

will go down in the history of Beyblade Burst.

1. Kurei 2. Itsuki 3. Ryugo

It was a great match to the end. I was moved.

Congratulations.

Give him a big hand.

This is a special Bey for the champion.

UN urges Japan to solve 'comfort women' issue - Duration: 0:46.

A UN committee on discrimination has urged the Japanese government to adopt a victim-centered

approach toward the victims of Japan's wartime sexual slavery.

The Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination published the report on Thursday,

saying that the Japanese government did "not take a fully victim-centered approach".

It added that the 2015 agreement between Japan and the South Korean government didn't provide

"unequivocal responsibility" for the human rights violations committed against the so-called

'comfort women'.

The committee discussed such issues for the first time in four years on August 16th and

17th.

Although the Commission's recommendations are not binding, it is customary for the country

receiving the recommendations to report countermeasures before the next session.
