I am Ahmad, I'm 26 years old.
I'm from Syria and I've been living in Belgium since September 2015.
And since 2016 I live in Ghent.
I always stay up to date concerning multimedia.
I read on Facebook about this training and was very interested because I love multimedia.
I think that Digital Welcome and working for Maks is very nice.
Because the people there are very friendly.
I've learned many things.
It was my first time working with Scratch and it was a pleasure
to make small Scratch-games.
My hobby is photography and I hope to become a good photographer one day.
In this training I got some tips on how to take photos.
That was interesting for me
because in this training we learned how to make a small movie.
Dutch is not my native language
and now I'm learning Dutch. It was a very good exercise.
I've learned so many new words.
I will follow a training in programming.
But in this training I have already learned the basics of coding.
In the future, when I might be a trainer myself, I think this training will have helped me.
Because it was the first time as a young mentor with other people.

My name is Ahmad, I'm 25 years old
and I'm from Syria.
During the summer vacation I bumped into a post on Facebook
about this training.
It seemed like a fun idea to learn some now things
like working with the computer
and improve my Dutch.
Of course I could also meet some new people this way.
The training was short but I've learned many new things.
Like Scratch, Draw Your Game and how to make videos.
The nicest days were with the children to which we gave many trainings.
I think it's interesting because this way the children and youngsters
also learn how to work with computers and iPads
and how to make a video.
In the future I would like to follow a new training
to improve my skills further.
A training by the public employment service of Flanders or Maks.
If I have spare time I could also work as a volunteer with children in schools in my neighborhood.
Finally, I need to find a job
and maybe this training can give me the right experience for it.
