SONY non-official mods

I made an integrated PS4.

The name is PlayStation4 Unify.

Please call him "PS4U".

Same as my work PS2U, the concept of "All loaded"

Weight and size are greater than PS2U.

Ah... maybe it's bigger than your imagination.

Let's explain the function.

15.6" full HD IPS LCD

OnScreenDisplay

· Volume control button · Call up the menu for setting the screen

2 speakers 1W+1W

PlayStationCamera 135°Angle adjustable

Monitor hinge open angle 118°

Exhaust port Exhaust air forcibly by fans

Kill switches

Security switch for immediately disconnecting power supply · For charging · For external power supply and internal power supply + Battery discharge

Power supply board cooling inlet Intake air forcibly by fans

That's the laptop type this time.

Lightly small... I can not do it. So, I will make it possible to play without holding by hand.(Reflection point of PS2U)

On the other hand, since the theme of "integrated type" is absolutely abandoned, I made it possible to accommodate the controller.

In the later production series, please see the hardships to realize that.

Also, those who are not very good at electric construction... Enjoy the videos only in the atmosphere.

Don't worry! Even for me who made this, there is a part "I do not know well, but it is working.lol"

Let's start. The third volume of the KEI STUDIO MODs series. It is PlayStation4 Unify -PS4U-!

Kei...

Hey, Kei. Look this.

Grandpa, what is this?

This is called "semiconductor".

Semiconductor...?

so. This is a part that connects and disconnects electricity.

It conducts or does not conduct, ...half.

Because it is half, it is called a semiconductor. Interesting, right?

Hmm.

There is a "NOT circuit" in this IC...

I..C..?NOT...?

When there is signal does not flow electricity.

When there is no signal flow electricity.

"1" is "0"... "0" is "1"...This says so.

This is such a twisted person.

???

(It is difficult and I don't know well... )

I will give this to Kei.

I will not use it anymore...

(Even if I get such a thing... )

...How do use this?

Hey... Grandpa.

Huh...? Grandpa?

...!

Oops...

It seems that I have fallen asleep because my editing work on the video was painful.

I am old huh... I reworked my mind and started electric work editing.

Firstly from necessary items, but...

A status window is displayed at the upper left.

When PS2U, because there were many questions "How much did it cost?"

Let's go then!

PS4Slim(CUH-2000)

GeChic On-Lap 1503H monitor

PlayStationCamera

COUGAR 200K keyboard

Connect them and test them.

It is OK! Of course.

Power consumption is around 90 W at the peak.

It was roughly the same as the numerical value of the preliminary survey.

I want to reduce power consumption even a little. For that, I will convert from HDD to SSD. Transcend SSD 480GB

It decreased about 4 - 6W.

And PS4 main unit...

Because it is a very sophisticated packaging, there are few useless parts.

However, this parallelogram silhouette seems to have a little room for dieting.

Firstly disassemble PS4.

Almost all parts are installed in this intermediate frame as we introduced in the previous video.

Cut this frame further...

I dieted it.

Reassemble to the frame again.

I can not make it smaller any more. (... so, I think)

Once, it confirms operation. It is OK!

Umm... it is about 50W even at low load.

No match for PS2.

For example, how big a battery is needed to run this PS4 for several hours?

However, if I want to claim integrated type, it need to install a battery.

...Otherwise, it is much smarter to buy even a dedicated monitor.

Well, the battery is the rechargeable pond that is also in the smartphone as you all know.

If you run out of electricity from the battery you will not be able to use your smartphone.

When an external power supply is connected, power is supplied from there.

And it charges the battery with the remaining electric power.

Thanks to the battery backup circuit, it is possible to smoothly switch this power supply.

Let's do this with PS4.

I checked the PS4 power supply.

PS4 power supply is two lines.

One is 4.8V of a small connector of 4 pins.

The other is 12V of a huge connector.

This is a large capacity of 13A(ampere).

However, it is all about power supply to PS4. There is not enough power to charge the battery.

A large power supply that enables PS4 operation and charging to a large capacity battery is necessary.

For example, replacing the power supply with that for a large gaming note PC ...

Furthermore, a DC/DC converter is prepared. I call it "decodeco" here.

And what if I extract the necessary voltage from the AC adapter through decodeco?

If I enter them directly...

As a result, this alone does not work well.

why. Let's pay attention to the 4pin connector of PS4 power supply.

Breakdown of 4pins...

"ACIN_DET"is AC100V detection signal

"ACDC_STBY"is signal from PS4

"Ground"

"5VSB" is 4.8V sub power supply.

PS4 and power are exchanged by these mutual signals.

"Ah! Tell the PS4 to the outlet!"

"Oh? The signal came from the power supply"

Nothing particularly happens any more at this point.

Let's play a game♪

"Ah! Power button pressed"

"I have to prepare to startup"

Preparing to startup.

"All right! Preparation for startup OK"

"I have to inform power supply..."

"PS4 seems to be ready!"

"Yes! Yeah!"

"Let's stop it. PS4 power OFF"

"Oh! Power off was selected!"

"I have to termination processing"

"All right! Termination processing completed"

"Let's stop signaling because I don't need 12V anymore!"

"The signal from PS4 has disappeared! 12V stop!"

"Good night"

Without such interaction, PS4 will not operate properly.

4.8V may be supplied at all times, but ...

Control timing is required to supply 12V. "Control part 1"

This is the first task.

Another one task is battery operation.

These are battery, charge and discharge management boards.

Does it look like a car battery? Because PS4 is the target.

When the AC adapter is connected...

Two lines power supply to PS4 and...

It is charging the battery at the same time.

When the external power supply is disconnected...

Switch between input and output wiring of charge and discharge management board.

Like this

External power drive.

Switching...

Battery operated.

This switching seamlessly...

In other words, It need a circuit to control without power failure.

This is another one task. "Control part 2"

I will resume parts collection to fulfill that control.

msi AC Adapter for Gaming Note PC

Step-up and step-down decode deco (for 12V)

Charge and discharge management board

Battery fuel gauge

Well, I'd like to take out electricity from the AC adapter...

This male connector that looks like a DIN connector can not be found on the market at all.

I have to make something that does not exist. This was the first DIY in PS4U.

Tackle the junk connector I bought at the recycle store...

Voltage can be taken out from 330W monster AC adapter.

The key battery is Panasonic 's lithium ion which was also used in PS2U.

Capacity, safety, availability, price, manageability etc...

When considering balance, there were no other options.

The price was 990yen per one.

In the shop I bought this time, it enters 2 pieces in one box.

When it was PS2U, it was 8 pieces.

Eating big PS4 is not satisfied with this.

So, another one set!

eh! What? Are you still missing out?

How about this?

No good!? What? take it...!!

48 pieces!!

Umm... nice scenery!

48 pieces battery so... let's call it "BAT48".

Panasonic Li-ion rechargeable battery 3400mAh

I bought various besides these but...

Since it takes time to introduce everything, I will summarize the cost.

Miscellaneous costs related to power supply

This is off the topic, but...

PS4U is an integral type, and is a laptop PC type.

So, this is installed with a keyboard or equipping a controller.

I want to produce a fun gadget feeling.

But PS4 Slim's scalability is poor. Only 2 USB ports on which we can rely on.

They finish work with keyboard and controller.

So, install them via 3 mouths USB hub.

Then it can secure two free USB connectors.

I want to leave to some extent the usability of the actual machine even if it is difficult.

Those who are "Free part 2" will become via hub · · ·

I will secure the power supply separately, I want you to forgive it because it makes it self-powered. ...That's why I prepared a 3 mouths USB hub.

ELECOM USB hub(3 mouths)

Dismantle immediately...

Now this.

I said that the usability of the actual machine... but I also want to connect to the TV.

HDMI OUT is secured with the HDMI splitter.

AUKEY HDMI splitter

Output to the TV is also possible.

I will make a battery pack.

The weight per battery is about 45.7g. I don't want to talk about gross weight.

They challenge PS4 in 4 serial 12 parallel.

This time is a power control circuit using MOS-FET.

MOS-FET is easy to handle large current and switching speed is high.

Control part 1... It controls 12V and starts up successfully.

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 by BAT48!

"Control part 1 Clear"

"It moved firmly." It seemed that the production was going well.

It was MOS-FET that burned up. Those close to the charging connector on the charge and discharge management board.

Anyway it is high power. An erroneous circuit vomits a flame.

The burned MOS-FET can be replaced with a new one. The biggest problem than that...

I do not know what was wrong

...It is due to my lack of study.

There is no problem if only battery discharge. There is no problem if only battery charge too.

But when charging and supplying from external power source were done at the same time, it burned.

Why...?

...what!?

Resistors here...?

Discharge side ground and charging side ground. There is a resistors between them.

...Is there a potential difference between each ground?

Everything is an amateur of electricity. I was thinking that ground was 0V.

So simply join decodeco circuit and ground. ...The results is short circuit.

Well, at the time of charging, it is necessary to completely shut off the circuit with the discharge side....

That is, when disconnecting the discharge side circuit when connecting the AC adapter...

After connecting, stop electricity...

Don't output after inputting...

"0" is "1"

"1" is "0"

Is this a "NOT circuit"?

I have reworked the power supply control circuit.

Semiconductor sleeping in the tool box for about 30 years.

I incorporated my grandfather's NOT circuit IC.

And this time I personally used fast switching control with MOS-FET for the first time.

When switching between battery and external power supply. Even in a high-speed MOS-FET, there is a momentary blackout.

This electrolytic capacitor compensates for the power failure.

An electrolytic capacitor is a parts that can instantaneously discharge stored electric charge.

A large capacity of 35200μF prepares for power outage at the time of switching.

Even though it is a moment, the power of PS4 is quite different from that of smartphones.

...Now, preparation is complete.

Please! This time move it...

Jenny Mikakos - just the term 'self' in respective to things like

confidence, respect, beliefs, in terms of youth in themselves.

How many of us are told to respect others? How many of us are told to behave around others?

How many of us are told to look after others?

Yet how often do you hear people say, 'Look after yourself', 'Respect yourself',

'Take your self worth, self confidence'?

You have the confidence to get up and speak. We all have the confidence to get up and speak,

but how much self confidence do we have in ourselves to get up and speak confidently?

One thing that a person who has recently influenced me — my chemistry teacher, Mr Mejia —

is that: you need to set yourself a price in life or people are going to set a price for you.

You need to set a price, what you are worth.

When you get a job, are you worth the minimum $13 an hour or are you worth $50 an hour?

Are you going to sit at $13 an hour that people have set for you,

or are you going to go out there, work hard, struggle for what you believe in, to get to that $50 an hour?

Are you going to live by the standards that are set by people who do not know who you are,

or are you — the one and only you that ever will, ever has, and that is now —

going to exist and work hard for what you believe in?

What I believe is that all of us have a lot of self confidence, as we're able to get up

in front of everyone here, a bunch of random people we met once at a training weekend,

and all of a sudden we can speak to in this House, Parliament House, such a place of prestige.

I believe we all have the self confidence to go out there and influence not just ourselves,

not just the people around us but also the adults in our lives who make the big decisions.

We are the people with the power to make change, and I think we need to use it more often.

Self reflection IYP #48 - Duration: 13:27.

What is that beautiful people today welcome live to the Ignite yourself your purpose podcast show

We are live on a Sunday. I think I'm feeling John's fatigue through the phone here through the internet waves of this magical technology

We have because I just slipped up the name of our show John. I apologize

Yesterday for those who don't know John was on it by far one of the crime. He's done in Ironman

So I thought that was crazy dead

and I remember with a dislocated knee at that but he was on a walk yesterday a 24-hour walk for like 85 kilometers my

Sorry miles. I keep I keep

Canadian made me write the miles. So that's like double that in kilometers 160 kilometers what that is. I don't know the translation

But anyway a lot a long long

Okay a long way and I want to get John's feedback today on the epiphanies

He had how the body felt how the mind felt because what you guys didn't see was last night

I talked to John I think it about midnight my time. I don't even know what time it was there

I maybe was midnight his time and the guy was wrecked like he was Haggard

Um, I don't think I don't even high-strung like five senses together

But he did to show his brother from Canada some love and I appreciate that

So John, I'm gonna shut up for a while here and let you spit some venom on on all the happenings yesterday

Yeah, well

There have been so many

kind of

conversations going through my head about

this this event and I think the first thing is

We're not when I did the Ironman and I was at the back of the field. That's because of injury I chose to walk the

Angle of

The event instead of being at the middle of near the front or where I intended to be I was at the back

look around and think oh my god, these people have got no right to be here whatsoever because you know,

There were middle-aged men of women who were yeah

Thanks savagely overweight

But I appreciate it. All right. I got a quick view

everybody does these things but for different reasons and for the Roma challenges in the room don't think hi everyone and

Then I've been ignoring this event since I moved back to the island in 2003

Somebody said, you know that might happen but struck me stupid

You know back then I'll run it. I'm not walking 85 miles

Here's my honest thoughts a fashion

I had no comprehension of just

What a big deal it is for fit. And I I think I'm pretty healthy in the big scheme of things. Okay, I agree

I know and I'm reasonably fit but there there were a lot more there were a lot of people in that field

He got to the end

There were less healthy. They

kind of

Self aware of what he put into your body creates a body that can go on and do all of these things

Of course to you hats off to these people who finished it massive massive, especially

So so you didn't finish it then how far did you go? Sorry I didn't. All right. So now I did them

It's just short 65 miles in

Amazing amazing, by the way

well We made up some numbers and I think I was an hour and a half ahead of where I thought I would be

And I think the bottom line is I went off out of pace. I thought it was just comfortable

but there wasn't the

Legs to carry on now historically I literally would have continued walking until I fell oh

And that is because my ego

The mind and the body and the ego says no you said you're gonna do

It very good go keep going

Follow the front of a car and yeah, I'd never offer what other people's think of us - right?

I don't confuse me. Excuse French. My mother talked about what anybody thinks about me. What's important is what I think

How good that makes me?

Every day for the people that surround me not true

but um

the bit in ink and now a

Couple of times it's just you could make one doing he's watching the previous suit, but I got to the point

Wow enough enough you will do Samson. I wouldn't say irreparable damage would be my god Sammy

And Emma who

Safety vehicle with

Wooden v a drew neuter and the Shelly was a bit further up the road

David and Silvia doctor earlier. He's really had a team. Yeah, there was a team there

it wasn't just me that one crew and she said them do you just want to sit in the car for 10 minutes and just

You know, see how you feel

but I absolutely knew if I carried on I'd be good so we chopped up the numbers and

And I kind of fell asleep really quite quickly, I think we drove to the mapping checkpoint, I'm just let me know I

Don't and then we drove home I went to sleep. But Emma said there were people

Weaving all over the road. You have to know where I was

To the finish. No, not not all of those because I who when it was about 15 hours or maybe

It's incredible

Yeah

Mental but she said there were a lot of people who get walking along like this bent over double to one side

The thing I'm most proud of us I'm proud of

Got myself up this challenge

And given it my best effort on the day, but I'm mostly proud in the flame stop

There we go. It's looking forward it promised to do it again. I'd

Do it again. Yes people. Yes yet. I

would try

Okay. So now I said out about everything

but before the Ironman

Lack of a need I didn't do a river

That's true - you don't you didn't you didn't really train. Did you forest a Meriden diplomas have a grand six months, so

There's a bit of a track record never says well

If you did you again, I still don't think you're trained and whether that gives my video getting in the way. I'll be okay

Turn it happens this

Weather it's I just I just they're fucking dead Greek

There's a principle it's actually the bad time

But Max Turner and comment ask a couple of my students

I did I want well I want I wanted to bring that back into you know you we're talking about basically ego

Right, and I remember

You know that well we met doing Crossfit your way across for sure right now. I remember training with one of the

fittest guys on earth a

while back in the United States and

I was with a mentor of mine who still coaches me to this day

in a different discipline and I remember the sanding me he's like

Pulled me this side. He's just like, what are you doing?

And and I thought nothing up because I was very new across it at that time

And he's like he's like, do you understand what you're doing?

and I said, yeah, man, I got it left the same way as to those guys and I'm like he's like

Do you understand that that guy that's his job like he does this

24/7 seven hours a day. He's a he's one of the fittest in the world. He's getting paid big bucks. He's like, dude

You're a buck 20 in 4-foot times. Like what are you doing? Trying to lift those weights?

Like why are you trying to lift three or four times your your your body weight?

Like it's mentally retarded and you will injure yourself and at that moment

I was like, you know I sat back and I took maybe 15 seconds of awareness time and I was like, yeah

Why am I doing that?

It's what you said if the ego I was like because I wanted those dudes to think

Hey, this little dude can convolve with us can hang with us. Right and such such the wrong way to go about life

So it's the way wrong way to think of those things right? Like I'm there to be fit

I'm there to be as strong as I can be in as healthy as I could be for as long as I can me at

Doing something like that

No different than you finishing the race would deter you would would injure you would would take minutes shred time off of your life

so, you know for you to come up with that realization pull out man, that's

massive brother that's

There was a reason you did that and that's huge so kudos to you for that brother and kudos to you for that

Keyword

Healthy you know we don't want to live a long time you want to live a

Healthy life and I was there I was Christ

I was twice the age of some of the kids in there and when I went to the cardiovascular

events

Because I could work through pain

Obviously a huge amount of pleasure

Beating them. There'll be a street ahead. No

no, then I try and live to say waste is these guys and I've been working on an injury all year not because

Of CrossFit CrossFit didn't cause it

But my incorrect application of the CrossFit you've got in the way when I was trying to keep up

That's right longer guys, and that's okay. That's all Eagle based rate. You're going. Oh, well, they're lifting ten pounds more than me

Well, I should do the same and then your form goes to shit and you're just it's a race and it's bla bla bla

Right. Yeah

so, you know off the back and out wants to take away for everybody out there is

I'm

Figuring out when you rego is getting in the way or not. There you go. I'm sure yeah, that's the question. That's them

That's 20 million dollar question or whatever. You want a million dollar question

America's Soto Zen meditation

I'm still bills. Yeah, there's still days, bro

Like I telling you man, they'll be a day where I look over and I see buddy doing something

I'm like I could do that then, you know and you like I said he's weighing

286 6-4 280 and I'm you know, a buck 10 and going with like doesn't even register upstairs

Like why did I even think of that right?

So again, it comes back to self awareness and it comes back to in the end

What's your what's your game?

If you want to get like I know a lot of fighters, like I said, man and I see them to punish

But they're putting on their bodies and I'm like, but they want to get to the most elite level

so that's I get that man, but if you just you just

Yeah, that's their job. That's their you know, they want to get to the Olympics of whatever

Discipline there and I get that but if you're just doing it for your health well then

you know at some point you need to recognize what you're in it for right and that comes down to a self-awareness and

Overcoming your ego like you said, we can't care what other people think and that's easier said than done

Oh, yeah, absolutely and today so today for myself

Yeah, I have got sore bits of my body. But which lights there where I've been all day. I'd like to know I'll do you

He's in bed all day

I've been lying on my no not been up in in a thousand sleep or watched a better football and I never watched football

Is that soccer you actually mean for us yes out of the world, okay

Um, I'm being kind to my buddy good for you brother. It needs it man, because that was taxing on the body right like

Even though it's just a walk bro. That was taxing on your body

yeah, and that's a whole nother conversation because I know Emma's the girl who was a

She was in a really bad way and some other people thoughts and you know

maybe cans of coke or a secret weapon when you're on these on this kind of adventures, but I'm thinking

It's not a lot of goodness

It might it might perk you up for ten minutes

Oh, but again, yeah may procure for ten minutes for what damages you just do again. Yeah, it's focusing yourself even there

his foot exam a friend, Jocasta, Janie and

sooner I may draw a bag of spinach and I said now just have a

Papa yeah, those who are the Sailor man?

yeah, beetroot juices and carrot juices and you know just just natural healthy things and uh,

Under store that may you know, maybe I may have craved other things yesterday, of course

But today that is the magic ingredient that will allow my body to repair today or tomorrow so I can get back on with

My Mac in heal baby. Yeah, okay, but we have to go ahead

Yeah, we rambled we have rambled. No. No, that's perfect, brother

I think that's where we should cut it out today because as beautiful as always we thank you for joining us people

You know, he could be anywhere in the world and you right here talking to mr

Canada and Mister UK and we appreciate John

Please get some more rest so we can rock again tomorrow and we will do this again soon people. Thank you

Yeah

Gives a champ sends a question sends a question going that the question dare you I dare you

Fuel your purple brain, you know feel your pulse. I'm asking you brother. Give us a question Chad. Yeah. Give us a question

Yeah, Graham give us a question Michael give us a question loads people

Anybody here's a question gives a question

Right that's enough for us from us to you. Thank you. Bye. Bye wherever you are the world happened

Yesterday there was a mostly vegan bricky bloke through those blocks

Okay

If carpet, I'm working with them helping out. He he's a trainee plant-based

Dude, he's trying to learn everything. He can off off those plant-based vegan. He people

For as long as you like, well I can add some that is such a loaded question, brother

Two sides do it. I think if we go with what your your ancient man saying, they're the esoteric

Yeah, yeah

Definitely do know that no matter what is happening

Where we are going in the universe and how all the stars are aligning and all that esoteric shit

We are our vibrations are being forced to be raised

Our consciousness no matter what is gonna happen

We are going upwards with it is happening whether we like it or not

having said that and we could get a little bit into conspiracy theories here or just

You know, I don't really want to say that word but it is what it is. There are

Definite systems in place in play and we are on them right now

There's gaming consoles. There's the Internet there's the computers

there are things that are purposely being I think put out there at a very young age so that we

Do not wake up that we are put back to sleep. I think but

there is no two ways around it the consciousness of us and this planet and the solar system is rising so we will

We will be forced to wake up well

Man what a question. There are so many levels in different directions in which we could go on this

Negri had a whole thing lined up to say then it's just gone

Into the ISA, you know

Connecting to the earth and what do I think I think?

There are pockets of people who are becoming more self-aware

What what the personal driver for?

Then wanted to gain the knowledge

It made it on an individual basis

It might be some debt in my personal 'no sit might be just being scared or excited or interested in learning

and unfortunately

For those people who are interested, we've got this we've got this internet out there

Which can lead us down a whole

fairytale of

various stories and information on where we've come from where we think we're going to

And I think if you if you delve back deep enough looking at both sides of the argument

You can make an informed decision about whether you think you are being driven down there

Go to school go to college go university get some day get a job

Do the job for 40 years and then die at the end and you can make some some more

Informed conversations about that. Do we all need to get married?

Do we all need to have kids do we all need to build up the debt, you know?

it's

The 1.2 car is the 2.1 kids the white picket fence

Yeah

So that that's kind of that's one element. I think there's a I think generally I don't think we're waking up

I think we're we're I did if you ever send out the image of sort of I did have dog Darwin sure

It's you know the evolution where we go from

cell to amoeba to

Snake to and then we go through the whole chimpanzee and we evolved where we on there

my gut feeling and I've not massively looked into this is I think we're going the other way now, so we're gonna

devolve back into the chimpanzee because

Maybe not quite that far. But yeah

We're all being dumbed down. We're all being asked to believe what people say more often have less of the thought process

Be lit be less active

So I just kind of think it's going the other ways, you know

Everything's taken over. So we do less we're less

physically active were less

emotionally active were less

spiritually active than than what we might be and whether that's

believing in God in the Buddha in whatever it is exact as this this whole driver to

Make us all the same

So ITV was invented to give people something to do so they didn't rise up against society your go home

What?

You and I are I'm

To you but you know some people I know would say that we're we're definitely talking some left-wing or right-wing

I don't know what wing it is, but some conspiracy style shit, right, but I agree with that a hundred percent man

And you can see the youth today. I mean we were all there at one point. I mean I watch TV

You know, but I do also know that it dumbs you dumb me down in a wasted my time, right? Yeah and

So if you know max mentioned the matrix there and I think it's an incredible film. I loved that film. I

Probably didn't understand it for the first five times. I watched it then but

but

certainly when

when you gain this a level of self-awareness and it's not overnight going from black to white there are a

thousand shades of grey in between and you

question and double question a triple question yourself over and over and over as if you think you're weird, but once

you have gained a level of self-awareness and you're

Outside of you've you've stepped outside of the matrix or outside of society's norms and what we're expected to do

It's freaking enlightening those girls in Milady's bullshit. It is in

Lightening not enlightened bullets. It certainly makes you have a more conscious

life each and every day you

Think about what you do things you think about why you say things you think about why you react to things?

and so becoming

Self-aware. I

Was asked yesterday I was asked yesterday

What the moment was when I became self-aware and I don't think it was any one particular moment. It's little triggers

I remember sort of certain things. I remember when

When a friend an older friend whom who who I rape visa?

He told me I was broken and then I started questioning myself and talking about things. Why is it every time I'm pissed off?

I'll just go and get a cup of tea and I'll sit down, you know, because that was my comfort blanket

so put myself back in that spot but um

Yeah

One time one thing I'll say is in from the or gurus that teach that you know

I've been teach me for the last ten years. The one thing they say is to awaken

it is the quality of our questions if we on this planet through what we

You know what we perceive and what we visualize if we're being told by the news

Everybody hates you because of your color your religion your Creed your country

if everybody this we're not even actually getting to the point where we're asking quality questions, you know, I mean

We're down here on the using the primitive end of our brain instead of the spirituals. Yeah until we can we can bounce

Outside of that box. We're stuck for a little bit but

Having said that again

The universe is going to be doing what it's doing for us. Either way in that. We can't we can't avoid that

Nobody can dumb. Yeah

Yeah, yeah, there's max. There's it. There's a number of catchphrases are used from

From time to time and one of them is ask better questions

And when you get the answer ask another question until you can get right down to the root source

So yeah, so you can have an informed decision

You've got both sides of the conversation on both sides of the argument and then you can make a choice

So when and we're not just headline readers, right and going cold bob said this that's what I believe. Yeah

Absolutely, man. I love this. We should do this more at work, you know, it's ten minutes away from the guys, you know

Give give my head

From the Incas and the Mayans and whatever else conversations going on

Well, let's continue this one tomorrow because it said I think we should be continued. Yeah, definitely. Alright, brother

How to Get Book Reviews - For Self-Published Authors - Duration: 5:38.

- Hello everyone, my name is Mandi Lynn.

I'm the author of the fantasy novels, Essence and I am Mercy,

soon to be published thriller novel, She's Not Here

and creator of AuthorTube Academy and today

we're gonna be talking all about how you can

get book reviews for your novel.

So book reviews are especially important for indie

authors because they tell other readers whether or not

this book is decent enough because indie authors

don't have huge names and just don't have the support

of a traditional publisher, it's a lot harder

for us to gain readers because a lot of people

believe that self published books or independent

published books just aren't as good as traditionally

published books and that of course, is not true.

We all know that quality is not comprised of the publisher,

it's comprised of the author itself.

So the way indie authors are able to gain trust

with new readers is by having book reviews.

If someone goes to check out a book and it only

has 15 reviews, they might not buy it

but if someone goes to check out a book

and it has over 100 reviews, they'll be like,

okay, I'll check it out even though they're

a self published author, they've got a lot of reviews.

So what is the magic trick to getting book reviews?

The short answer is that you have to ask.

I know, it sounds crazy but if you see someone

posting on social media, they post a picture of your book

saying how much they're enjoying it, all you have

to do is respond and say, thank you, I'm glad

you're enjoying it, when you finish, do you mind

writing a review on Amazon in good reads?

And nine times out of ten, they're like, sure, why not?

And you can also tell them it doesn't have to be

this long book review, it could be just a quick sentence

saying why you enjoyed the book.

Another trick is that at the end of my books,

I say did you enjoy reading it, be sure to support

the author and write a review on good reads in Amazon.

It's just a quick reminder that when someone

gets to the end of the book that if they liked it,

they should go ahead and write a review.

You know, sometimes people forget to write a review

because if you're not an author yourself,

you don't realize how much book reviews help authors.

At book signings, I also have a little business card

that when I sign someone's book, I slip this business

card in and on the business card it says,

support the author, write a review on good reads

in Amazon and again, all I'm doing is asking

for book reviews.

I'm not paying people to review my books,

I'm just simply asking.

I know these people are reading the book

so I'm just saying, hey when you're done,

write a review, it would be great.

You can also reach out to bloggers directly.

So say you are getting your book reviewed on Amazon

in good reads but you want book bloggers

to review your book.

Unfortunately, they're probably not gonna just

naturally review your book, they're gonna want

a free copy of your book and in exchange for a free

copy, they will give a completely

honest review on their blog.

Now it can be a little tricky to find book bloggers

sometimes but once you get into the group

of book bloggers, you'll find that once you find one,

you tend to find all of them.

And be sure that when you're finding book bloggers,

you're finding your ideal reader.

If you have a thriller novel, don't give your novel

to a romance book reviewer because even if they do

decide to review the book, they're not gonna enjoy it,

they're gonna review it and be like this book

was not good, don't read it so you want to make

sure that the person you pick to review

your book will love the book.

That way they will write a good review and promote

you as an author.

So don't be afraid when it comes to book bloggers

to be picky, it's okay to be picky.

And you also just wanna do your research beforehand

so you don't bother book bloggers that aren't relevant

to you because if someone's obviously a romance

blogger and you email them saying,

review my thriller novel.

They're not gonna like that, they're gonna get slightly

insulted and then you've just burned a bridge.

It's also important to connect with a book reviewer

before you ask them to review your book.

So this just means commenting on their blog,

following them on social media, making it show

that you've put effort into your relationship

with this person.

That way, when you sit down and ask,

hey can you review my book, you're not just some

random person whose popped out of nowhere,

you're someone whose been following this person,

this blogger and you're someone whose been

a loyal follower and it would mean a lot to you

as a loyal follower.

This way you're not some random person popping

out of nowhere.

If a book blogger sees that you're someone

whose been loyally following and kinda commenting

on stuff, they'll be a little bit more eager

to review your stuff.

So lastly, there's just no magic formula

to getting reviews for your book,

you just simply have to ask and sometimes

put yourself out there.

If you have any other tips on giving book reviews,

be sure to leave the tips down below in the comments.

If you'd like to stay up to date on everything

I am up to for She's Not Here and Author Tube Academy

to conquer writer's block.

How To Improve Self Confidence At Work - Duration: 11:58.

Your level of confidence will affect your income. How to improve

self-confidence at work? So, how to improve self-confidence at work is

something that my friend Dan Hartman knows a few things about. Dan is a Live

on Purpose licensed coach. And this is actually one of your areas isn't it Dan?

Yes. I like to talk about, you know, what you can do to build your career and

build your confidence. So, today we're going to talk about 4 ways to improve

your self-confidence at work. Oh, beautiful. Bring it. Alright, start us off.

Where do we go? So, the first one is know your unique value. Understanding who you

are and the unique value of who you are. It's really important. You may work in a

job where there's a lot of you to do the same job. In fact, I went to the D-M-V this

last week to register my car. And I walked in there and there's about 20

people with numbers above their door. Numbers above, you know, their head. That's

(right) number 435, you know, and you think, well, how do you stand out

if you have a job like that? I just kept thinking, "I hope whoever I'd gets going to be

really nice. And they were. They were great to work with. So, understanding what

makes you, "You." No one else that does your job has your same abilities. You're very

unique in that standpoint. So, you really need to understand that and be that

person. What are some other thoughts? Your

unique value... I love where you're going with this, Dan. Because every one of us

has a skill set, talents, abilities. And all of those things are different. So, we

might have some things that are similar. But there's always something about me

that's not quite like anybody else on this planet. So, what we're talking about

here improving your confidence at work has to do with understanding "What is my

unique contribution here?" What can I do differently or in my signature way

compared to everyone else. So, this gets us out of the self judgment where, "Oh, I'm

not as good as other people." Well, you're different from other people. A different

can be good. That's good news. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. So, that's number 1. So, number 2, we're

going to talk about is to always seek to improve

even in small little ways. Nothing builds confidence better than finding small

little ways to improve. Now, sometimes we had we set these great big goals at the

start of the year or things, you know, we want to do in our work stuff like that.

But setting small goals and reaching those is so important. But in fact, I have

a story about that as well. Not really in the setting goals but understanding

where you are to begin with. I think it's important in our jobs and in

relationships to get a clear picture of where are we? Where do we stand? Sometimes

talking to maybe a co-worker or a boss. And find out hey where do I stand? What

can I seek to improve on? And the reason for this... I have an interesting story

when I first had my first job out of college. Paul, I'm a recovering

perfectionist. You know this. Yeah. And I've always tried to do

everything perfectly when i could. And my first job out of college, I thought, you know, I

thought I was doing okay. But I thought I could do better and I just never felt

like I was doing enough. You know, when is that going to stop being true though? I

agree? That you could do better. So, I love that. You can always do better, yes. That's

why this step is so important. It is. You're going to create that better. But it's

interesting because I didn't have a realistic view of where it was. One day

my manager came over to my desk said, "Dan, I need to talk to the conference room."

And then he walked away and I thought, "I knew it. I'm getting fired."

This is it. It's you drops here. And I walked in there and he said, "Dan, you're doing a

great job, we want to give you a $5,000 raise." And that made me realize

that I did not have the proper perspective on where I was. So, it's

always good to get a starting point. So, talking to a co-worker or a manager. Get

understanding where you want to be. You also don't want to be thinking you're

the best and you can't improve. Because "Oh, you're better than anyone else." So,

there's always room for improvement. We can always upgrade our skills. But

setting small attainable goals, then once we achieve those, we celebrate those.

That's going to build our confidence. We're going to feel more confident on those things

that we can do. This is actually one of the indicators, Dan that we're on track

with identifying our unique abilities. And you talked about that a little bit

in the first point. But this is an indicator, too. Because those who are

really operating in their sweet spot, just part of what I like it I'll call it.

There's 4 characteristics. And the first is that you love it. Yeah. You

love what you do then you know you're on track, right? It

adds energy to your life, (Definitely) you've got better, sweeter

skills at this than most people. Yep. And the 4th one is exactly what you're

talking about. You seek constant improvement. You're

always looking for ways to upgrade it. Mm-hmm. And this is a dilemma and we get

stuck here sometimes because when we see that we can improve something, it's

tempting to take that go into evaluation mode and say, "Oh, therefore I'm not doing

a very good job." Which is what I thought at that time. Right. Because of your

perfectionism. Exactly. And as a recovering perfectionist, you know that

yeah, you can always do better and that's

good news. Right, and you can always do worse ,too. So, judge yourself

very kindly. Yeah. Shall we say that? Yeah. Use compassion when you judge yourself.

And then use that creative energy to then move forward and find the upgrade.

What can I do to improve or enhance or upgrade this thing and you'll always

find something. Absolutely. In fact, that's a great segue to our third point. And

that is to be sure to speak your mind in your job. We're always looking at our

jobs through a lens of judgment and wondering, you know, I wish the company

could do this better, wish my manager could do that better. And as long as

we're willing to put in the work to make our jobs better, it's important that we

do speak our minds. Importantly, we let management know things that maybe could

help sales productivity or efficiencies in the office. Or ways that you can have

better, you know, work together and things like that. So, it's very important to

speak your mind. If you don't say anything, if you just keep your head down,

do your job but grumble about them and be frustrated, you're never going to have that

opportunity for change. We need to be the catalyst for change. And now there

there's an important part of the this. You don't barge in your, you

know, boss's office and start ranting and raving about things that need to change.

I think it's important that we need to own that change. If we're willing to step

up and do something differently for the company and get the management onboard,

show them that you're willing to do that. You're willing to pioneer that. And then

that's going to be a great thing. Were not only going to gain more confidence but

they're going to see more value in you. That is really the

key, too. So, you want to use the diplomacy and tact and maybe some assertive skills

that you've built up. And you're going to own it.

Yes. People sometimes they're seen as complainers or Belly acres because they

constantly air their feelings without any kind of a solution or ownership. So,

I'm glad you add at that point, Dan. That's huge and it builds your

confidence at work. Because you see that you're actually innovating some

solutions. Those have an economic value to the company. Absolutely. And then you get

to have that surprise interview where you thought you were going to get fired

instead you get a $5,000 raise. Or maybe more. Or more!. Always, always get an upgrade. so

So, Paul, our fourth way you can improve confidence at work. And this is

one of the most important and really... When I grasped this, this is what

changed for me in my career. And that's to understand that you are your own

brand. The company doesn't own you. You need to understand that everything you

do, you take with you. In fact, my father gave me this advice. He was very

successful in a 40-year sales career and as I was starting out my sales career, he

said, "The only job security you ever have is who you are." And I've been caught in

the trap early on in my career when things weren't going well. And I wanted

to kind of give up or I felt like, "Oh, man the company is not doing their part. Maybe

I don't want to do my part." But when it was... What I realized that what I do in

my job stays with me. The skills I learned, the attributes I

gained. That stays with me. In fact, I spent 10 years in the IT sector in

sales. And I got laid off 3 times. And each of those 3 times, I was

fortunate enough to then land a job that was better than the one I had before.

With more pay and and just a better job overall. But a tribute a lot of that to

the fact that I saw myself as my own brand. In fact, you know, one of my good

friends, he told me that he always sees himself as a contractor. He works for a

company, he gets a normal paycheck but he sees himself as a contractor. So, we want

to look at ourselves as were contractors

contracting our services. As long as it's mutually beneficial that it works for me

and it worked for the company, that's great. But we always want to look at it.

How can we build our skills and abilities and not worry about what the

company is he's doing . In fact, this morning, actually

had layoffs of my work. 5 people lost their job this morning and you know and I had

to be there. And it was unfortunate. And it just made me realize

that in this day and age, you never know. You can't depend on the company. So, we

don't want to build our confidence at work just for that job. Or just for that

manager. We want to do it for ourselves. We're building our own brand, we're

making our selves better, so that transfers with us to whatever we do. And

you can take that sweet skillset that you have to the next setting which is

the company. Yeah. We're building confidence in ourselves. Yes. So, it's a

little misleading to think, How do I build my confidence in in my work if you

think that your work is your company? Yes. Your company is the setting where you're

bringing all of these skill sets and your brand. Your personal brand. I love

the way that you framed that, Dan. That was awesome. So, just to review the 4

things we talked about here. The first one, understand your unique value and

make that part of your job. Bring your personalities, your traits to

the job and make it asset. And building on that is number 2, where you actually

seek to improve or enhance those skills once you connect with your unique value.

You're actually improving it. You are and as you seek to improve, you're going to

see things in the organization that you work for or ways that you want to do

better. And that's why you need to speak your mind, that's number 3.

Do that in a right way. Go to a co-worker first. Maybe and run that by them before

going to management. But understanding that if you can stand up and be willing

to be the catalyst for change, you're going to be viewed as a really positive

person in the organization. And that brand follows you wherever you are. So,

it's not about your company. Nope. It's about you as a... I like the way you put

this earlier. --- A private contractor. Absolutely. Right? Where you bring your

brand, your unique skill set to the table and start thinking of yourself as that

contractor or that person who has an individual brand. And then it's not tied

to the success of the company. And there's interesting thing about that. An

interesting paradigm. The more confident you are and who you are as an

independent brand, the less fear you have about getting laid off or losing it off.

That may happen but you know that you can go find another job because you

focused on you not on the company. If the focus is on the company, you lose your

job, it's more devastating. So, it's building that brand of who you are that

goes with you. Nobody can take that away. Another strategic side effect of that. As

your confidence increases, you don't fear the layoffs (You don't) but you're also

less likely to be affected by it. Because you're one of the top performers.

Exactly. It's interesting. So, those are 4 ways to

improve self confidence at work. I am constantly feeling honored that you're

here. You're here on the channel. If you're new, please click Subscribe right
