Auto news on Youtube Aug 30 2018

this is GTV no no no no no no skip the

intro and come right to me because I

found something you're gonna love this

Pepsi man toys sealed in the box we're

gonna open it we're gonna unbox it we're

gonna see exactly what this is in here

but if you don't know what Pepsi man is

take a look at this

Pepsi man a guy in a costume who creates

awareness of Pepsi Pepsi man was big in

Japan during the 1990s and 2000's and

the premise is very simple

some people want some Pepsi and Pepsi

man delivers he usually gets halfway

clipped along the way - there were also

variations of Pepsi man based on flavor

and can design and even a Pepsi woman

the character was so popular he made the

inevitable crossover into the video game

world in 1999 he got his very own game

for the Sony Playstation called surprise

Pepsi man

it's basically an advertisement wrapped

around the cheap PlayStation game but

actually Pepsi man reached critical mass

after his run in Japan was over thanks

to YouTube as so called reactors with

Gauck over how strange and weird Japan

must be to have video games about Pepsi

none of them are any good except for the

one by slopes gamer that one's great but

out of the 780 1129 videos about Pepsi

man no one actually tries to dissect the

commercials or CMS as they're known here

and explain what makes them so weird

exactly I mean yes it's funny to see

someone in the goofy costume breaking

their neck but that's like saying only

Japan has weird CMS and everywhere else

on earth junk food and tchotchkes are

advertised for in a serious manner but

amidst all the unenthusiastic reacting

of the 780 1,129 videos out there the

most obvious thing is missed the Pepsi

man who works for Pepsi in Japan doesn't

seem to be in Japan at all everyone is

American despite that they still speak

Japanese but with an American accent Wow

is that what I sound like

the other thing people miss is that the

popularity of Pepsi man led to some

nifty giveaways bottle stoppers Pepsi

dispensers even Space Station crew

jackets

no wonder they say Japan always gets the

best stuff well one of the items they

gave away amongst all this was this neat

little box I picked up what mysteries

are inside and most importantly will it

even work it's time to send it back to

studio for an unboxing what am I suppose

that'll take your day oh Christmas so

we've got the box here and it doesn't

look like something that you can buy in

a store I don't see any barcode or any

kind of special marking that showed the

price or anything like that it might

have been a giveaway it might have been

a premium or something like that

I really don't know but we're gonna open

it up and find out and this thing has

been sealed for a very long time this

came out in 2000 and it's never been

opened so here we go and I had some

trouble getting the Box open it was

sealed really tight I've probably ruined

the collectability of this there's

probably some guy out there right now

looking for this cursing me out

oh and there's a lot of pieces in here I

was not expecting this I was expecting

maybe something you could piece together

with two pieces snap it on it did come

with instructions and it did come with

this little card that says

congratulations for winning the Toco

Toco can help her so it must have been a

prize giveaway okay so we take a look at

the instructions and I'm surprised to

find out there's no written text just

little pictures and six steps and it

looks like number one and two are really

difficult I don't know if we can do this

but once we get past number three it

looks like it's pretty easy to finish up

so the first step you have to connect

the wind-up gear with the legs and you

have to line everything up into these

little slots pretty tricky you got to

put it together and hold it so it

doesn't fall apart and now we've got the

body and the front and the back have

little slots and grooves and holes for

everything can snap in together of

course this has to be the front right so

everything locks into place and there's

a pin that holds the parts from Part one

and Part two together

and simply snap the back on very nice

okay so we finished one and - time to

move on to step three and four

looks like step three is putting the

carts that trait together only three

pieces here and it looks pretty simple

you snap the wheels on and you snap the

handle on and then you snap Diet Pepsi

woman on at the end

now I had to stop tape for about five

minutes because the hands were very hard

to snap on to the handle it kept

slipping and popping off it took a

really long time for some reason it was

really hard to do

okay so let's go back to the

instructions now we've got step 5 and

step 6

pretty simple all we have to do is put a

can on wind her up and let her go so I

went down the street and I got myself a

can of Pepsi here it's the only can I

could find out of all the vending

machines out on the street it's actually

a very big size it's 650 milliliters

which they did not have in the year 2000

I don't think my memory is not so great

it might be a little too heavy to push

let's put it on here wind it up and see

how it goes I hate us and move let's

wind it up all the way and try again

there we go much better so there you go

a neat little giveaway from 18 years ago

and I found this at a recycle shop not

that far away from my house it's only

500 yen if you saw the video I made

about 2 years ago with the pink plastic

princess throne that cost several

thousand dollars it's the same place so

if you're walking around in Japan take a

look in some shops you never know what

you're gonna find if you liked this

video click on one of the buttons you

see here you can subscribe to the

channel and stay updated on the newest

videos you can contribute and invest in

the channel on patreon you can check out

the newest video and you can check out a

video from the archive thanks for

watching and we'll see you there

[BGM: Happy Groovy (*You can watch the song on Johnny's Jr. Channel too)]

[A week before the concert: Studio rehearsal in Tokyo]

Kaito Miyachika: In particular, of course I want you to watch all though, in particular,

Because we'll dance a lot, please check how much we sweat.

I want you to feel our excited feelings and

I hope to sweat with the audience together in this coming concert.

Kaito Matsukura: Umm... I guess it's very summer-ish.

Regarding how much we can include Travis Japan's characteristics

into set lists and formation,

We are talking about these things.

I think it will be the fun and joyful concert in 2018.

Ryuya Shimekake: Yeah, I'm enjoying this rehearsal yeah.

Well, I want to start the concert ASAP.

I hope you like it.

I think.

Genta Matsuda: For me this is the very first summer as a member of Travis Japan.

I hope this gonna be a great memory.

Well, I want to make a good one.

Noel Kawashima: In my opinion, the concert will be a very good one.

This time, we are trying to make a lively concert.

I want to integrate attractive and exciting contents into one concert.

In the last summer of Heisei (*Japanese era name),

for Travis Japan with the new members,

this is the first summer concert.

I want to end this concert in good shape. hehe

[To make the seven member's feelings into one, they practiced many times.]

Kaito MA: By the way, do you do this movements away from body? This.

[This day, they repeatedly checked the choreography and fixed some parts to make the perfect performances.]

[HOWEVER]

[Kaito Nakamura is walking strangely...]

[Only he is sitting.]

[What happened to Kaito Nakamura!?]

Kaito NA: Well...

I think you are looking forward to the coming concerts.

I, Nakamura, surprisingly,

cutted the sole of my foot.

I'm sorry. [Though it is a week before the concert, he injured his left heel.]

[Therefore, hasitly...]

Noel: ♪Get together, Happy♪ and Kaito comes here.

Noel: So, I want him to go there.

Noel: Ah, but we have to change the dance... ??: Yes.

Noel: ♪

Noel: I got it! Can you go there, Kaito?

Noel: There. Please go to this position.

Kaito MI: We are changing choreography.

Because he injured, in a big hurry,

we are changing it.

[Because of the unexpected injury of Kaito Nakamura, the members are changing the choraography hasitly.]

Kaito NA: I got it.

Noel: Because I assume that Kaito is blaming himself

I want to get back with the all members.

I think this is the goodness of the group performance.

As a group, we make up for the member's disadvantage.

With a fresh mind, we are trying to make the new one.

We'll do our best.

Shizuya Yoshizawa: Because dance is our strength

we sometimes get injured.

In stead of Kaito, we will make the awesome concert.

Make MC funny.

Please count on me.

Kaito Nakamura: I have no words to thank the members enough.

I will thank them for not abandoning me and changing the dance for me.

I'll think about what I have to do.

I'll return the favor someday, absolutely.

Please relieve yourself.

Well, I'll pay you back double!

[What will happen to Travis Japan's concert of Summer Paradise 2018!?]

7-Day Trip from Tokyo to Kyoto: Episode 1 | Japan's New Golden Route | japan-guide.com - Duration: 8:16.

Tokyo and Kyoto are two of Japan's most popular tourist destinations and are commonly

traveled between via the Tokaido Shinkansen along what has become known as Japan's 'Golden Route',

stretching along the main island's relatively urbanized Pacific Coast.

For this trip we thought we'd do things a little differently, instead taking advantage

of the recent extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen to reach Kyoto from Tokyo via the Sea of Japan

coast along this 'New Golden Route'.

The aim of our journey is to experience a different, more tranquil side of Japan full

of natural beauty and rich culture, and to partake in some memorable experiences along

the way that are different those found along the more populated southern route.

The entire trip will take seven days in which we'll cover 11 prefectures in total, presenting

our journey over three episodes.

A great way to travel along the New Golden Route is by using the Hokuriku Arch Pass,

a 7-day pass exclusively available to oversea tourists that allows for unlimited use of

all the JR lines shown on the map including the Hokuriku Shinkansen.

Episode one of this series will document our journey from the bustling metropolis of Tokyo

into Japan's interior.

So join me, Sam Evans, as we travel from Tokyo to Kyoto along Japan's New Golden Route.

Day 1

We'll begin our journey by checking out a couple of Tokyo's popular sites before

heading on to Saitama Prefecture and the Omiya Bonsai Village as well as the Railway Museum.

Come late afternoon, we will head up to Gunma Prefecture, to end our day in Ikaho Onsen,

a historic hot spring town.

It's the first day of our seven day tour from Tokyo to Kyoto, and what better place

to start it than at the magnificent SkyTree.

Its 634 meters tall and its the world's tallest communications tower.

I cannot wait to go and check it out.

Let's go!

At 350 meters above street level, the Tembo Observation deck allows visitors stunning,

panoramic views of Tokyo, with Mount Fuji even visible on clear days.

The lower levels of the huge complex house a variety of shops and restaurants giving

the Skytree something for everyone.

From the Skytree we take a bus to Tokyo Station and walk to the Imperial Palace.

Before we head on with our trip we've got a little bit of time so we made the short

walk from Tokyo Station to the Imperial Palace, the home of the japanese imperial family.

Not only is it a great place to stroll in the midst of royalty, there's also some

pretty good photo opportunities too.

From Tokyo we take the Shinkansen to Omiya, where we'll transfer to the JR Utsunomiya

Line to Toro Station and head to the Bonsai Village.

We are at the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum which opened in 2010 and is a beautiful addition

to the Bonsai Village.

Inside there is a permanent exhibition which educates on the History and other aspects

of Bonsai, whilst outside in the garden, where we are now, visitors can admire a variety

of different trees and its generally a very pleasant place to be.

Not far from the bonsai village stands another of Saitama's popular attractions: the Railway

Museum.

We're at the railway museum in Saitama one of the largest railway museums in all of Japan

Among its other impressive features this place boasts an abundance of retired trains and

is a must for train lovers.

It's now time to take Hokuriku Shinkansen to eastern Japan's hot spring mecca Gunma Prefecture,

where we'll be staying at Ikaho Onsen, an old hot spring town known for its iconic stone

staircase that bisects the town as it climbs hillside.

After an amazing first day here we are at Ikaho onsen in this beautiful ryokan.

Where among other things we are going to enjoy a delicious looking traditional japanese meal,

a relaxing outdoor bath as well as an exploration to see what this town has to offer.

Day 2

After a traditional ryokan breakfast it's time to head on to Nagano Prefecture where

we'll first pay a visit to the famous Snow Monkey Park.

Following this we'll make our way to the nearby town of Shibu Onsen where we'll explore

and stay the night.

From Nagano Station we take an express bus to the Snow Monkey Park bus stop from where

the monkeys are about a 30 minute hike along a gentle forest trail.

We're here in the Jigokudani Monkey park where visitors can see the Japanese macaque

in its natural environment.

Now the park comes into its own in winter when snow typically covers the ground and

monkeys can be seen bathing in the park's hot spring.

But as you can see any time of the year is a good time to come and see the monkeys.

It's seems like it's a bit of a hard life being a monkey.

After our fun at the monkey park this afternoon, we have arrived in the nearby Shibu Onsen, an attractive

and historical onsen town known among other things for its nine bath houses like this one.

Now, the ryokan in which we will be spending the night has given us this!

Which is a master key to all of nine of them.

So right now, I cant wait to get exploring because this place just seems great.

Nothing like a foot bath after a day of exploration.

Another evening, another delicious looking ryokan meal.

Now tomorrow we are going to move over to Niigata prefecture where we will start the

day with a bike ride along the coast, but for now let's eat because I'm starving.

So in true Japanese style: kanpai!

And with that, the first part of this incredible journey has come to an end.

Be sure to join us in episode 2 as we continue towards Kyoto and enjoy more amazing experiences,

trying delicious local foods and taking in breathtaking views.

رحلة جيمر الي المستقبل! Game Professor Games culture of Japan - Duration: 8:51.

We cannot discuss games without mentioning japan

This country influenced our childhood

the music for Super Mario that doesn't play anywhere

without everyone around recognizing it

The family game and the 2 players we used to play before something..

called the internet comes to separate us in times like this

Tanks, Duck hunt

Pak Man, Donkey kong, The characters of street fighter

That've been imprented in our memory

the first time we feel

True horror in Resident evil, we play the rule of a spy in Metal Gear

and the rule of a footballer in Winning eleven

Lots of games, if I wanted to talk about

I would talk for days, heck

I can dedicate a whole program to talk about those games

Games that only have one thing in common, which is the country where they were designed

that made me wonder, how does it look like to live as a game designer in Japan!z

the trip from japan to Egypt is a little wierd

you're literally traveling to the future

You're traveling the opposite direction of earth movement

You Basically skip one day in only 12 hours

Once you're out of the airport you're bombarded with information

from papers on the walls, to signs on the floor

To screens telling you where to go and what to do

Once you wake up from the shock

and start to look at the people around you

you start to see the clear picture

Everything in Tokyo is designed like a game

Signs everywhere telling you how and where to walk

As if you're in a map for Resident evil, silent hill

Or metal gear, games that have all been designed in Japan

The train is like RPG levels

Ones you see in Dark Souls

Complicated system of five types of trains

The local, the rapid, the Rapid expres

the special express and the Limited access expres

A system that will take you from east Tokyo to the far west

in less than two hours

Given that you know the timing and the type of train

Which will require an application (I suggest japan travel)

The internal structure of the cityI

Is shocking in it's corridor like design

From the metro stations, to the giant malls

Streets, alleyways, restaurants

to the parlors and supermarkets

The whole thing looks like a level from the classic version of doom

and the design of the tin city in Dues ex mankind devided

Even the nature in the local parks, gave me an illusion

that I might meet an npc which will give me a quest

Or a monster that I can kill and loot it's weapons

Or this place that chillingly reminded me of Resident evil!

All the details around you all the time

it's either a delicate design or an inspiration for such thing

which explains why design in japan is such a natural thing, as if they were born with it!

and why we've seen designs like

the levels of dark souls...

This is Omar Wahid, from a place on the planet...

Well, we cannot call it earth, because I'm now on the planet

that is very different

the neighbor planet of Japan!

Like that move!

I'm now in Shibuya

Close to the Shibuya crossing

This place is full of lighting and stuff that's fighting (rhyme)

I'm enjoying the people and the place and food and everything

Japan is a great place

Very great

Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw

the commercial for classic Mario on the screen

that was located on the train, something I haven't seen anywhere else

which made the travel a key part

of my quest for knowladge

as an Egyptian I used the skills I was given

and I started being nosy around people, and try to find out what they were doing

People were looking in their books and phones

and I though it was just emails and science books or novels

I noticed a man in his 50s standing by me

moving his finger fast on the phone

and I found out he was playing something like candy crush,

but the speed at which he played it was insane

even for someone who's "an expert" in games like me

I widened the circle of my nosiness

and I started to spy on the books in people hands

and found out that the majority reads manga!

which is basically Japanese comic books

and I'm not talking about young people exclusively!

it looks to me like it's not just a niche of people that play games

like the case in Egypt

because in Egypt, we are

only the young play games unlike the public in Japan

which has games as a key part of it's culture

people I've met randomly, would start at me with admiration

when I said I worked on game design.

The word Nintendo has it's wight

and super Mario and final fantasy are like the names of pop stars in Egypt

let alone the respect I get from people

When they find out I work in the field of games

unlike the sarcastic demeaning look I get when I say that in Egypt or the arab world

Don't get me wrong, the culture of a great nation like Japan cannot be summed up in

just thier love for games and their understanding of it

because you see the same level of dedication in Everything

from the design of the city as I said in the beginning

to the smallest thing

Like how people act around you

but this isn't the scope of my research, but the real focus of my quest

is to focus on the game culture

as the culture in Japan is far more complicated

but the part i'm covering alone requires an entire series

to cover all the points I want covered

However, there's a main element that connects games with everything

Which is people

which brings the question, why are people like this!

How did they make the leap with their culture

far beyond the monkeys living outside!

I'm not qualified to know this,

as my knowledge of history

is very shallow, and my grasp is weak on the development of culture

However I noticed stuff

Maybe could be useful in understanding a small part of the design tech advancement

I heard a lot before I went to japan

that most people there are very helpful, and I didn't give it much thought at first

because I have seen helpful folks all over the world

even Europe (specifically England) which is not famous for the helpfulness

I couldn't Imagine, that if I asked for help

that people would leave everything at hand just to help me

I was in awe to find people leave their work to show me where to go!

many times I enter a supermarket

to find the cleric leave the shop

and take me to a different shop that sells the thing that I want

I once took the wrong train, one of the passengers left the train

and took me up to show me the proper platform

keeping in mind that he could've easily missed his train

just to help me!.. a complete foreign stranger!

if this is any indication, this means that

this culture gave up somehow on selfishness,

their life is dedicated to helping others!

that means that the culture in Japan

is to dedicate yourself to work!

which shows in the quality of everything they do

which as a result, shows in the quality of game design

it's only logical that this level of dedication

result in the quality we see in devices like the Nintendos

games like Monster hunter, Zelda, or Mario odyssey

No wonder that the system and devices creating these experiences

to be so ridiculously precise as found out

at the time of release

as I mentioned, being in Japan makes the picture become clearer

this culture is the home

for work of arts that are hard to execute like dark souls

and timeless classics

like the series of super mario

new experiences that captivated a lot of people like Metal Gear Solid

and pieces that created worlds full of magic

like Zelda, pokemon and Final Fantasy

This was my experience in Tokyo

I was on a quest for an answer to my question, How did people there achieve this!

what i said wasn't enough

not even new to some

even what I want to say requires a lot of work to share with you

But I will have to with this at least for now

Thanks for watching, please subscirbe for more, and like for support

RUDE GAIJIN IN JAPAN: What We Think - Duration: 10:29.

Todays question is: why do foreign people think that japanese people are dirty?

This news rebounded through whole Japan

and also some newspaper wrote about that

especially one sentence caused sensation...

it was somehow racist, but the public opinion wasn't so upset

because a lot of people understood how hardworking they are

let's talk about one morning, the train that connects Osaka with the airport

let's talk about a railway officer

who, after having received various complaints from passengers, feels obliged to apologize with these words:

"To all the passengers, the sincere apologies of the company for the inconveniences of this trip, unfortunately many foreigners were present ..."

In this video we will analyse this fact.

Living in Japan or only visiting it on holiday

the sense of duty and cleanliness and civilization

is more than evident

than if someone says the opposite, it doesn't take long to change the things

And if you are particularly enterprising you can, in fact, jump into a street of night clubs and photograph what the drunks leave behind Friday night and pass it as "the norm").

It often happen to see tourists here looking around

kidnapped by so much cleanliness and order,

and you hear always the sentence: "how nice, everything is clean here"

(sometimes accompanied by "not like our cities...", said with regret)

Then you see these same people entering a conbini (the shops open 24 hours a day)

buy a couple of onigiri, eat them all happy and ...

obviously, where do you throw the paper?

The waste of some snack consumed during a walk,

the drink taken at the vending machine,

maybe an item, that you immediately wanted to wear

all of these things, generate small amount of waste.

That's when complaints start: "well, but there are no bins here?"

NO

in Japan bins are very rare, they are often only found in the same conbini

(although, it must be said, in the conbini you should throw the waste of what you bought in the same conbini ...)

Some beverage vending machines have attached small trash cans for bottles and cans, once they have drank their contents.

and from there you see bags and paper thrown away in the bins of the vending machines

(Yes, I have just said that, they can be used only for empty bottles and cans),

when it goes well, you see them in the bin, otherwise you find trash also behind the vending machine or on the ground.

and so after some time you will hear:

"it's not my fault if they do not put bins!"

yes. It's your fault.

It's your fault, you throwed the trash on the ground instead of putting it in your bag

(or, if you did not have a bag, maybe because you did not expect this absence of bins, that you did not have the patience to keep your rubbish in your hand

It's your fault, of you throwing the cigarette butt on the ground

(obviously we do not deny that some Japanese do the same thing or that NO Japanese behaves like uncivilized

but, believe it or not,

in front of our eyes, for every single uncivilized Japanese we've seen, I'll have seen AT LEAST about twenty foreigners do the same if not worse.

Is it mitiglitation?

No, of course ... it's just the mere reality of facts.

If you want concrete evidence we go directly to ask an Italian who lives in Japan

"Look, there's not even a piece of paper on the ground," said a couple who spoke in English at the station today.

He said yes and no ten minutes before he "unkemptly" left a bag with some snacks bought somewhere before getting on the train.

The Kyoto station is a little gem, always clean, neat

trains do not have scribbles, the seats are always clean and never smelly

it always seems that they have just waxed and that the car has just left the factory.

But now, there, there's an abandoned trash bag.

In that station, on that track, today maybe there will be 2,000 people in transit ... if any of them, since they did not find a basket nearby

and if everyone throws away a paper, because they didn't find a bin,

tomorrow the station would be a pigsty.

Yet that couple has managed to enjoy cleanliness and at the same time make it more difficult to maintain it.

We can assure you, however, that the couple is not a unique example, it is not an isolated case, it has happened several times also to Sebastiano.

Every day you hear in different languages "how beautiful it is, everything is clean" and in the same languages, then, "oh, there are no bins, I throw it here".

It is custom, in Japan, to sit in silence on the train.

Well, in general it is good education not to cackle a little wherever you are,

but in some places and events it's "forgiven"

it is impossible to keep quiet when you are in front of the majesty of Kiyomizudera,

it's impossible not to get caught up in euphoria while you walk through the streets of Akihabara,

or, it's impossible not to be infected by the madness of Shinsekai in the evening

but on trains, out of respect, you are silent (yes, you can speak softly with those around you) ...

and then you see that group of foreigners (youtubers) film, while insulting other passengers

or even touching girls on the train and commenting on people, laughing grumpily and talking loudly

(only for more views)

That guy who is sleeping, yes, the one with the open mouth that, in fact, it's a little 'funny" ...

well, if he sleeps, it means that he's tired

I know that it's funny, but is it realy necessary to put it on youtube?

Everything is pure casuality...

obviously it's not referred to all foreigners/tourist

but at one particular category

However, we happened to discuss it with other foreigners

who did not accept our criticism of some foreigners who behaved like uncivilized in Japan,

they answered with an "I pay taxes here".

And so? No this answer according to us is not acceptable!

Since you pay taxes, do you have the right to dirt the city?

Or do you have the right to accept that the cleaning services should triple the fatigue

(except to make fun of them or say "the Japanese commit suicide for too much work")

because a tourist does not have the patience to carry the garbage he produces while he's around?

Or, even worse, since you pay taxes you have the right to be there to criticize,

every day, the country that still allowed you to stay?

in our opinion no.

there is something that all of us is missing nowadays.

we need to be grateful to everything that surrounds us,

respecting and thanking

ok it's a bit a general thing

we can immagine that a country under military, or religious dictature,

or a country in war will not thank so much

but we, that are living in a much better place, with less war, we can say that we are very fortunate

In Japan for example there is respect and cleaniness

We are sorry, but we can't accept the sentence "we pay taxes here!"

It's not right that the tourist dirties the cities!

It's not good if a japanese does that, but there are only a few...

It's not good to treat a land like this, that gives you back a lot.

Also if you work and pay taxes

And if you behave like this, don't wonder when a japanese person thinks that we are dirty and uncivilized!

(I'm going to the station and what do I see? a foreigner that occupies two seats!)

(I'm a bit upset by that)

(there are a lot of foreigners that use the excuse of" oh, I don't understand")

(the thing was that there was an old lady standing and he didn't even move to make her sit)

(I'm upset)

(and so this is how japanese people create stereotypes)

(like I told in the video of" what do japanese people think about foreigners)

you need only one person to make a country look bad or uncivilized)

(so, let's behave better and don't do such things!)

I just sended the file of this video to Lilletta this morning, and this episode of the train happened this evening)

wouldn't it be nice if the same scene happens with foreigners' it would have so much more influence

I'm at the idea that you should do nice things and don't expect them to be returned back, just do them for yourself, to be happy.

If someone is nice to me, I'm feeling very happy!

I hope that you followers don't behave like this, and if so, try to change a bit, to live in a much better place)

let us know in the comments what you think about!

Japan's school uniforms YES or NO? Japanese girls and boys on school uniforms. - Duration: 14:49.

What will you do if school uniforms disappear?

What?

I'd rather die.

I didn't have time to make a new one, so I didn't understand why my teacher told me off.

If you were told to wear it now, would you wear it? - I would!

Hey guys it's Cathy Cat and today we are gonna go and ask Japanese people

if they prefer to wear school uniforms or not, when they go to school.

So let's go and Ask Japanese. Don't forget to subscribe for more videos from Japan.

School uniform VS normal clothes!

Do you understand the meaning? - I do.

You get it too, right? - No clue.

She is asking us if we prefer normal clothes or school uniforms.

Which one do you prefer? Please give us a vote.

School uniform.

School uniform is here, right?

You seem to have your own style, but you still prefer uniforms? Why so?

I like high school girls.

THAT'S your REASON?!

That is my reason. I will see cute school girls in the mornings on the train.

Just seeing them, I feel more happy.

They are so cute.

That's why I prefer school uniforms.

I believe that high school will save the world. That's why we need school uniforms.

High school girls. Why do you like school uniforms?

Thinking about what to wear every day was pretty tough.

That's why school uniforms are much easier.

You said it WAS hard to think about it every day. Does that mean you didn't have uniforms?

I went to a specialized college and had to wear normal clothes every day.

It was specializing in beauty and esthetics, and especially because of that

we had to look after our visual appearance .

But I found it really hard to think of a new style to wear every day.

Made me realize how much easier I had it with school uniforms?

Because it was a beauty school, you got a lot of pressure?

Yes that's right. After graduating I started dressing properly like this but...

When I was still in college I dressed black all the time and didn't really care.

We were just talking, saying that he has gotten a lot brighter these days.

In our college people would talk a lot about what people were wearing,

some people could even tell which brands people we were wearing.

That was... a real pain...

I didn't wear any exciting brands... - Some people wore Gucci

Gucci in college? - Yeah.

Some also said "There is a brand fight. That person is wearing Valencia!"

I just liked Uniqlo.

I tried to keep it secret. - Well that secret got out fast.

Were there some rules with your school uniform that you didn't understand?

The restrictions were really strong. We also HAD to wear a belt and such.

That was quite tough.

We had to wear a belt and weren't allowed to open the second shirt button.

The girl's skirts were too long. I prefer shorter skirts.

My high school was very strict. We had to wear a shirt but not a belt or specific socks.

We could wear any socks and shoes we liked.

Nothing else that bothered me. Just that the skirts were so long.

What do you do if school uniforms disappeared?

What?

I'd rather die!

I don't want to live a life in which I can't see school girls from time to time.

No use living.

They are a symbol. - Japan's kawaii symbol.

What type of school uniform is the cutest then?

I like blazer ones.

My high school had blazers. You too right?

I also had blazers.

Blazers are cute, right?

Do you prefer neck ties or bows?

We had neck ties and bows. - What do you prefer?

My high school had bows for girls . But I personally prefer neck ties.

I think bows are cuter.

We had one vote each. Why do you prefer normal clothes?

When I was in high school, I had to wear school uniforms and my sister didn't.

When wearing school uniforms, you get looked at differently on your way to and from school.

Buying school uniforms is very expensive, and you can only wear them for 3 years.

I think it would be better to wear what you want to wear.

How much was your uniform?

I bought mine second hand. I don't know how much full prize is.

It goes around 30,000 Yen.

That's quite expensive. - It is.

You also had to buy all accessories, the badges, the pins, even the socks.

It's expensive.

Why do you prefer school uniforms?

I simply think it's a hassle to think every day about what to wear.

I think wearing a decided coordinate, is a lot easier.

Furthermore...

... you can only wear a school uniform for 3 years in middle or high school.

It's a once-in-a-lifetime privilege.

I liked wearing school uniforms.

What type of school uniform was it?

I had blazers. I never wore a sailor school uniform.

What type of school uniform was yours?

In middle school I had a sailor school uniform and in high school a blazer.

Were there uniform rules that you didn't get along with?

In middle school... I was growing very quickly...

In one year I grew 20cm.

Because I grew so much, my skirt didn't cover my knees anymore.

I didn't have time to get a new skirt.

And my teacher took me aside to tell me off. I didn't think that was fair.

That's unfair. - Only girls that grow fast are getting into trouble.

There weren't any rules I didn't agree with but...

But there is one thing I found funny.

The school was loose on the rules, but there was a set time in which we had to

wear the uniforms in the strictest way possible.

For one week we had to wear it 100% according to the rules.

We had that and that was quite interesting.

A restricted time experience.

And at other times it was more loose?

Yeah, some girls even died their hair brown, shortened their skirts...

But during those weeks we had to have black hair and close our ties tight.

It was kind of strange.

I wonder if the reason was that teachers from another school came to check?

Once every 1/2 year they wanted to give us the experience to wear it properly.

In the UK, girls get the choice to wear trousers with their school uniform. What do you think about that?

I think that's good. Japan should have that choice too.

I envy the UK. Especially in winter. The male teachers will wear warm trousers...

and he will open the window for "fresh air" and only the girls in their skirts will suffer.

It was tough. I wish we had had the choice to wear trousers too.

Why do you like school uniforms?

When I was wearing school uniforms, I envied schools with normal clothes...

But thinking about it now, you save time to select clothes all the time.

Wearing the uniform for 3 years has become part of precious memories.

You never had to think about what to wear because it was all decided.

It was convenient to not waste any time on it in the morning.

Extra question. In the UK girls get the choice to wear trousers, but not in Japan.

If you were offered to wear trousers, would you have done it?

I prefer skirts.

Even in winter?

Even in winter. - Wow you are strong.

If it was normal for girls to wear trousers, I would have liked to wear trousers.

You wore school uniforms? - I did.

What type of uniform was it? - I had a blazer type.

The one that you wear on top.

What school uniform was yours? - In high school I had sailor uniforms.

Even in high school? - Yes.

What was good and bad about wearing one.

The summer school uniform was so cute... I did like it.

But the winter uniform was black and like moufuku. It wasn't cute.

What is mofuku? - It's a black mourning dress, black and simple.

That doesn't sound very cute. How about you?

The summer sailor school uniform was very cute.

But in winter it was really not cool.

In winter it was also sailor.

My school uniform was all just one color.

So in winter the sailor collar and all was one color.

It looked uncool.

Any advantages you've had wearing a school uniform?

What?

I wonder what.

Do you? - I got a part-time job because I was a high-school girl.

I went into the interview with my school uniform.

What kind of job was it? - The drugstore.

Why did you get a job, wearing a school uniform?

The owner of the store was simply into high school girls.

You voted for school uniforms, why so?

I am in university now. When I overslept in school, I would just whack on my uniform.

I wasn't late there, but now I have to choose my clothes...

I get late for school now.

When you don't have much time in the morning, it's pretty tough.

So in tight mornings it's convenient? - So convenient.

You can only wear school uniforms in school.

Now I can't wear it anymore, I wish I could.

Why do you want to wear it again?

It's a privilege.

If someone offered you to wear it now, would you? - Oh I would.

I will wear it for a day in Disneyland.

I won't wear it to university but...

I would wear it for a theme park.

Theme park school uniforms are a thing.

Do you have an advantage when you wear a school uniform?

You get lots of likes on Instagram.

Did you ever have any trouble?

If you don't go straight home from school, it will get out.

Is that against school rules? - It is.

Our school forbid making a side trip after school.

So when I was wearing my school uniform, I didn't do TACHIYORI.

Tachiyori? What do you mean?

Tachiyori is when you have food with school friends on your way home.

You were forbidden to go to shops or restaurants on the way home.

You had to go straight home.

Why is that so?

I actually... never questioned that... it's just a rule.

Those were all questions. Sorry for taking you time.

Cue?

Cue?

Not yet?

Ok school uniforms!

Big win for the school uniforms. Only one person said non-uniforms are fine.

What some people said actually, school uniforms they are practical

you don't have to think so much about it, though they are very expensive,

it's an only-once-in-a-lifetime experience that you're able to wear them.

Apparently there are also a some girls who select their school depending on how cute the uniform is.

Interesting stuff. So how is it for you are you for school uniforms or against it?

Let us know, I personally never had school uniforms, in Germany

they have been taken off or banned, no school uniforms for us there...

I wish we had had some cute school uniforms, so we didn't have to actually...

wear brand clothes and have other people pick on what kind of shoes you were wearing.

That was a total pain.

Let us know, how is it for you, School uniform yes or NO?

Car Accident in Japan (Vlog 25) - Duration: 11:54.

hello and welcome back

today I will talk about a car accident I recently had

here in Japan and the reason is it was

not my fault

but somehow the insurance company of the

other person came back and wanted to

give me ten percent off the fault so I

will show you now, my accident I had, I have a drive recorder, take a look

so as you can see I stopped at the traffic light

then ahem I ...... the traffic turns green and I start driving

I'm on a road and this person is on a carpark

parking and reversing back

she stops for a moment and I past and in

so, she stops for a moment and

I pass and in this moment she hits me behind left when

my car this is the damage so what

happened ..... we called the police

and

The police asked me if I need an ambulance

police asked me if I need an ambulance

and yes I felt it in the neck and at

the lower back but somehow I didn't feel

I felt the need to call an ambulance

and I said no thank you I don't

need one and what happened is the woman

right away said oh it was partly also

my fault because I should have looked out and the police men looked at the

damages and he was laughing and said no

it's clearly her fault

so I wasn't thinking so much about it

because I was obviously on three

she was obviously the carpark so I

didn't see why this could be my fault so

we brought our car to the workshop and

we got a rental car fine

a week later we get a call from the

insurance company telling me I have to

accept 10% of the distantly said my

fault because I was feeling and I was

pretty sure that I was not speeding

because I just started at the traffic

light

it was red and I slowly accelerated so

no and we asked for the report to see

what there is the exact reason and

Monday I picked up to report at the

insurance company and what we read was I

was not speeding I was at 29 km/h and

they said I but I had three seconds to

react to to her reversing and this is

absolutely not

because she stopped it's clearly you can

see how she stopped here and after that

I basically passed her and she hit me

there was no way and if you are on the

main road why would you stop for

somebody who is reversing out of the car

park and you can see she is reversing

the other direction and obviously you

will do or at least meet I assume she

was then going forward and then look on

the street there was so much space why

why would I think she would drive out

right away and anyway it would be up to

me granting her to stop and saying hey

please come out so yeah the problem is

we don't have in our insurance package

we have our insurance the party

insurance and yeah we have actually a

very expensive package but we don't have

lawyer fee inside

which we now edit it cost us 2,000 yen

in here and we have to go to arbitrary

board to solve this problem and this

will be on the 28th of September Xue

approximately approximately a month from

now until then we have to pay all our

records on our own because they cannot

agree to it

how this currently insurance company can

do this I have no idea I'm not a lawyer

or anyone officially advising people for

what to do in case of an accident but

look at my accident and you usually

don't have this experience so what I

learned from this is

calling the police is the right step as

we have done it but the difference

between calling and ambulance on that is

if we call an ambulance

the police has to make a detailed record

a report of the accident and they

haven't done it on that day and they are

not involved who is at fault yeah I

didn't know that

therefore the police is out of the

picture now and we have to solve it and

if they don't agree we have to do so do

you have to call them it's first step is

calling the police 1 1 0 and you can ask

also for English assistance

secondly the police if they ask you for

an ambulance please call an ambulance it

takes you two hours to do all the

examination etc but it's worth it and

third one is take photographs of

everything you can I took photographs of

the driver license of the other person

and I don't even know if this person was

alone in the car because this

you know you have whenever you are

driving you see it and you react to it

but I didn't react to it because I just

assumed this person would stop and it

was said gone I saw a person standing at

the driver side of that car on that day

when I turned around

but this person I later I didn't see I

thought she was living maybe at one of

the houses there and her partner also

came out but as it happened she was

visiting the graffia because it was

Obama so I don't know who was that

person

anyway we got led as someone who offered

to translate from a shop nearby and she

helped but they immediately said it was

basically off to my phone give me your

thoughts on this in the comment section

and yes I read through it first before I

published but sometimes they're really

mean comments and especially I'm

travelling I'm not

literate so I don't want them under the

movies but of course if you have

courtesy with ebooks critics towards me

please write it I don't have a problem

of it yeah let me know what you thinking

of what kind of experience you had in

Japan the third extent because I was a

limited I thought to police' you know

they are so big so many murders

everything they're really on top on the

game especially with all the security

cameras here in Japan and here it

totally failed in in my opinion I have

to try recorder I can show everything

but still they are arguing this case and

I think it's totally inappropriate it's

so much trouble that day I had so much

planned and I went and almost two weeks

later

there might be two weeks later to the

hospital - in case we have to assume

that we have all records and the

hospital alone takes you four hours if

you go without it ll be taken by the

ambulance and that day a whole day was

gone because I had to bring my car to

the car dealer and then I had to get my

rental car

it was just a whole take on plus we have

electrical so we get petrol or two

months for four to five thousand yen now

we are getting petrol every week for

four to five thousand years I mean this

is there's so much money unbelievable

yeah let me know what you think about it

and if you want follow me on twitter

under martina Takano i'm on instagram as

well

so there are 4 things you have to think

about it when you have a car accident

first of all call the police 1 1 0

second take photographs of everything

you can see cert get ambulance

and what if you have accident report

from your own country print it out and

put it in the car just in case if it's

happened so you have all the details

because all these things I don't have I

just got the orange little slip this one

here and that's it there is the name of

the two officers who were there and when

the accident happened

everything else is up to you and the

other party who drove into your car and

if you agree or don't agree and if you

don't have a lawyer or insurance for

that it can be very possible ok I hope

you like this video and I see you next

Thursday

bye

you
