Strictly Come Dancing star Charlotte Hawkins has revealed what her husband really thinks of the dreaded Strictly curse.

The Good Morning Britain presenter made her debut on the show over the weekend with dance partner Brendan Cole, and admitted that it was weird to have her husband watch her dance with another man, though did check beforehand.

I asked him whether it would be a concern for him, she told The Sun of the so-called curse.

Were really happily married, so its not an issue, but its still weird for your husband to be watching you dance intimately with another man.

I wanted to check he was going to be happy with that and okay Im dancing in such an intense way. Id find it really hard if it were the other way around.

But then Id know theyre just dancing and I have trust in our relationship.. She added: He is happy with it, which is great. Still, I needed to make sure. Its nice were in that situation where its not an issue.

Brendans happily married and now expecting his second child. I was thrilled to be partnered with him because hes a friend anyway.

Its nice to be able to dance like that with someone I know. I would have found it much harder with someone I didnt..

The presenter also admitted that her husband feared she would be this years Ed Balls when she signed up for the BBC show. However, it looks like that accolade may go to Reverend Richard Coles, at least going by early viewer reactions.
