<Richard Sheppard> I enlisted into the Marine Corps

when I was seventeen years old.

I was in the Marine Corps for five years.

So I decided to look into Grantham University,

and called their admissions department.

They had a dedicated veterans' representative that helped me go through

the Montgomery GI Bill application process.

When I first got a hold of Grantham, they helped me out

through the whole process.

Letting me know how to go about using tuition assistance.

The textbook grant definitely helped out.

I paid nothing out of pocket for books.

<Richard Sheppard> Grantham was able to look at my military experience

and what I had.

And pull that experience out and apply those credits very quickly.

<Lindsey Streeter> They understand the needs of the service member,

completely.

<Annette Simon> I chose Grantham seeing that it was military

friendly, because there were a lot of other veterans that chose Grantham.

<Amanda Spotswood> While I was in the military, I got three degrees.

I got my associate's, bachelor's and master's.

<Charles Booth> I had so much military background and training,

that was applicable to a lot of degrees.

<Annette Simon> They were also willing to accept credits

for military experience.

<Charles Booth> So I probably had maybe fifteen or sixteen

credits transfer over.

<Lindsey Streeter> I graduated in 2012, it's one of the most

rewarding things I think I've ever done.

Thunderbird (Explained in a Minute) | COMIC BOOK UNIVERSITY - Duration: 1:20.

Hey, guys, Professor Bill of Comic Book University and I'm going to explain Thunderbird in about a minute.

Thunderbird's first appearance was in "Giant-Size X-Men #1" in May of 1975 and he was created by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum.

Thunderbird was born John Proudstar in the Camp Verde, reservation in Arizona.

John was an Apache Native American who lied about his age in order to enter the marines early.

He was an excellent soldier and learned much about combat, but he was a loner at his core.

Even after he returned home to his reservation he preferred the solitude of the wilderness.

His mutant powers showed up sometime later in his early 20s when he rescued a young girl from a charging bison on the reservation.

He grabbed it by the horns and dragged it down, earning great respect from his tribal elders.

This was one of the ways that Professor X discovered John.

Giving him the name "Thunderbird", John joined the new X-Men team.

John died on his second mission with the X-Men after refusing to heed Professor X's mental commands.

Thunderbird was able to press approximately two tons and could run in excess of 35-miles per hour for an extended time.

He likely never reached his maximum power levels as he died so young, but if it's any comparison, John's younger brother James Proudstar became the immensely powerful mutant named Warpath.

John lived as he died, following his own rules and trying to live up to his Apache ideologies of bravery.

And that's Thunderbird in about a minute.

they were very quick to respond to help out with any issues at all.

<Angela Taylor> She was so helpful . . .

She took care of me . . . She walked me through everything.

<Sherwonder Black> She was like my cheerleader.

She called, she checked on me, she sent emails.

<Diana Tucker> No matter how much I wanted to stop,

They were positive, and they said, "Diana, you can do it."

<Amanda Spotswood> They know what I'm needing

or they know what I'm calling about, before I even call.

<Diana Tucker> Without them, I could not have done it.

There is no way I would have done it or could have done it.

DeSales University Presents Murder on the Nile - Duration: 1:06.

"Oh my God, Madam, Madam...she's dead."

Murder on the Nile is a murder mystery written by Agatha Christie in which Kay Mostyn is

murdered and we're all on a boat trying to figure out who did it.

"He's trying to say I killed her.

Perhaps you did."

Everyone has a different motive so you'll just have to try and guess who did it through

process of elimination.

"Where were you after you left the saloon?

I went to my cabin."

It's really fun being in a murder mystery because I have my own motivations as to why

I could have or could not have killed Kay and it's interesting to see all of the other

characters play on their intentions.

"There has been a murder on board."

Come on out and see Murder on the Nile.

It's a wonderful production and the cast and crew worked really hard on it.

You'll have a wonderful experience.

Brian Bowen still on University of Louisville campus, interim coach David Padgett says - Duration: 2:50.

Brian Bowen still on University of Louisville campus, interim coach David Padgett says

University of Louisville mens basketball player Brian Bowen, who is believed to be at the center of a pay for play recruiting scheme unveiled by authorities this week, has been suspended from all athletic activities at the school, officials confirmed on Friday.

Bowen is not allowed to work out or practice with the team, according to university spokesman John Karman. He is still enrolled at the school, as of Friday morning, Karman said. He is still listed on the schools official mens basketball roster.

Acting head coach David Padgett said at a press conference late Friday announcing his appointment to the post that Bowen was still on campus.

Confirmation of Bowens suspension from the university comes two days after interim university President Greg Postel announced that a player had been suspended from the team as the result of the FBI investigation.

Details provided by authorities suggested it was Bowen, a McDonalds All-American who signed with Louisville in June, but Postel declined to give his name.

Bowen, a five-star recruit and McDonalds All-American, was spotted on campus Wednesday by the Courier-Journal and again on Thursday by a reporter from WLKY, Louisvilles CBS affiliate.

On  Wednesday, he was seen walking into the teams on-campus athletic facility just after 10 a.m. He wasnt with a group of Louisville players when they emerged from a team meeting.

Some later reconvened at the facility, but he wasnt spotted entering or leaving the building with them. His mother, Carrie Malecke, and father, Brian Bowen Sr., did not respond to phone calls asking for comment after 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Postel also announced Wednesday that athletic director Tom Jurich and head mens basketball coach Rick Pitino were placed on administrative leave over the recruiting scandal. Both Pitino and Jurichs contracts require notice to be given before they are fired for cause. Jurich was suspended with pay, pending the next Board of Trustees meeting in October.

Pitino was suspended without pay, and his lawyer said he was effectively fired.. The school is expected to name an interim athletic director on Monday.

The scandal stems from FBI allegations that at least four NCAA mens assistant basketball coaches around the country and an Adidas executive conspired to funnel money to top recruits.  Postel confirmed Tuesday that the university was part of the probe.

The complaint alleges the Adidas executive conspired to pay $100,000 to a recruits family in exchange for the player going to University-6 — believed to be Louisville — and then representing Adidas when he turns pro.

In one of three federal complaints, a recruit identified as Player-10 was said to have been paid in four installments. Player-10 then committed to University-6 on or about June 3, according to the documents.

Bowen announced his commitment via Twitter on June 3, making him the lone Louisville recruit who matches that description. The freshman attended La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana, and helped the school to a 29-1 record.

He was named 2017 Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year in Indiana and was a finalist for the Naismith national player of the year, according to information on the teams website.

The allegations made regarding the University of Louisville and other universities have rocked college basketball.  The investigation is believed to be ongoing and more charges could be filed involving coaches around the country.

University of Louisville scandal will cost Rick Pitino endorsement money too, experts say - Duration: 3:13.

University of Louisville scandal will cost Rick Pitino endorsement money too, experts say

Over the years, University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino has made a bundle through speaking engagements and endorsements.

But with Pitino effectively fired in the wake of an FBI investigation into a pay to play recruiting scheme, hes likely to take a hit in the wallet, some University of Louisville followers and sports agents acknowledge.

That could mean the loss of millions of dollars for Pitino, who was identified as Coach 2 in the FBIs investigation on Thursday by a law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Celebrity Net Worth estimates Pitinos total holdings at $25 million, and Pitino reportedly had an income of more than $7 million last year, from his university contract and endorsements. According to various websites, Pitino could be booked for speaking engagements for $50,000 and up.

A USA Today story last March said Pitino earned just over $1.9 million in outside income for the 2013 calendar year.

And in 2015, his outside income was nearly $800,000, more than any public school football or men's basketball coach had reported since USA Today began tracking coaches' compensation during the 2006-07 school year. .

Richard Katz of Katz Management Group in Cincinnati, which represents the business interests of numerous athletes but has never dealt with Pitino, said that obviously, (Pitino) still has a good reputation, as a basketball coach.

But on the other side of the coin, his personal reputation is now at risk. Katz predicted that there is at least an even chance that Pitino will lose some of his outside employability due to the scandal.

Media relations officials with the Rallys restaurant chain, which signed Pitino to an endorsement deal in 2008 for undisclosed terms, did not return phone calls seeking comment.

Direct Sportslink, a Cincinnati-based company that arranges celebrity appearances, said it had booked Pitino for events, but a man who answered the phone at the firm said he was not interested in having any quotes or any publicity related to Pitino.

Officials with Premiere Global Sports Athletes & Celebrities, a New York City-based company that says on its website that it can arrange speeches by Pitino for $50,000 and up, couldnt be reached for comment.

In Louisville, business executive Mark Lynn, who owns a string of Visionworks eye-care stores and has been one of U of Ls biggest sports boosters, said he probably wouldnt hire Pitino to represent his business.  I doubt if anyone would, he said.

Businessman Bill Stone, who has been a longtime ardent supporter of the University of Louisville, acknowledged that the scandal may limit Pitinos outside appearances and endorsements.

But Stone said he thinks Pitino retains a lot of his credibility and popularity, because he has accomplished a lot in life.  He is extremely charitable.  He is very intelligent.

Stone said that in a month or so, 50 more coaches and schools could be named in the FBI investigation and Pitino and the University of Louisville will be small change.

According to a form Pitino filed with the NCAA detailing some of the sources of his outside income, the coach received $60,000 from KentuckyOne Health and $70,000 from Central Bank & Trust in 2015 for endorsements.

KentuckyOne Health spokesman David McArthur said Pitino is still under contract but that the contract will not be renewed after this year.

But he said thats because of a decision to cut its holdings in Louisville and has nothing to do with the recent scandal. Central Bank executive Mark Wheeler didnt return phone calls Thursday.

Pitino also was available through a company called celebcalls.  The company said it could arrange, for an unlisted price, to have Pitino call a friend or acquaintance of your choice and send that person a greeting.
