So inside your blue packet, can you see a small board?

This board is called a Crumble, and we're going to

use it to do all of the coding on these. Yeah?

-One of our 53 Associates is the

Digital Makers Collective.

Femi is a young digital maker

who came with his mother, Grace,

and I think there's something about this digital and the

coding that really appeals to this young man.

We're gonna try to replicate that with our bots.

So everybody has two motors

-We've delivered workshops to over 150 kids

and their parents and to teachers, as well,

and it's always like, you see the amazement,

and the sense of achievement,

and the, "Wow, we've done that."

-I felt like the people in my Tourette's group

would love to hack Minecraft, just like me.

I felt that they wouldn't be able to do it in an

environment where they felt a bit threatened,

so we created South London Raspberry Jam so that

they could come code in an all-inclusive environment.

The black into the same side as the minus. Yeah.

Well done.

-When people ask us to come do a workshop,

we always do them because we know that

people are gonna have a great time,

and they're gonna go on, and they're gonna find out more

about coding, about computers, about hacking.

It's actually kind of fun to see how, firstly, you're helping

others, but also I felt that it was nice to see how

different people approach the workshop

and how, perhaps, we could change the workshop

to make it easier to understand.

-All the resources that we use are open source.

It's not about how much money you've got

and paying for things. We're actually quite proud

that anyone can do it, and it's open for everyone.

How to Negotiate the Digital Shift in the GDPR Era — Paul Roehrig — Cognizant Digital Business - Duration: 2:44.

Paul is an author of one of the biggest business books in the world at the moment.

So we get to see what's the reality, what's the scary

dialogue around machines.

But it's just now leading into what we call digital that matters,

AI is simply the next generation of productivity tool and it's for us to use

and we get to write the rules.

The message in Europe around when machines

do more and more and of nearly everything... so far it's been fantastic so

we've had great dialogue with clients from all different sectors and the one

thing that's coming out loud and clear from European decision-makers, is let's

just go! So the change around understanding consumer needs, what humans

want and need, I think that has been one of the most dramatic shifts that we've

seen over the last couple years. Decision makers are no longer satisfied with just

say a survey or a focus group, because that has led to a lot of investments that

maybe haven't had the return on investment that anyone would have hoped for.

So European decision makers at least that I've spoken with over the

last few days, are very clear minded in the sense that to go faster to have a

higher return on investment, to shorten the time to value, the best first step

you can take is to understand what consumers want from their digital

experiences, whether it's in banking or insurance or retail or any industry.

We're in the early days of renegotiating our relationship with technology and

data... so the right to be forgotten and the GDPR laws that are coming into

play now in Europe are a step in that direction. I don't think of

it as as a big door coming down, that's closing and saying "oh we can't do this

and we can't do that". I see it as a positive step forward as humans and by

the way humans are the ones that are making these policies, it's how we're

negotiating our relationship with technology that has never existed before.

As machines do more and more of nearly everything, there's still going to be a

lot for humans to do. More in fact.

Cómo se DIGITALIZA una PYME (Transformación Digital) - Duration: 7:36.

how an SME digitalized today

day digital transformation is key

in any business

so today took reference

This video an article published by

raúl salgado in the newspaper La Razon

talking about how digitalized one

SMEs and which was one of the people who

He collaborated in the as says

digital processing is a process

adaptation to market is key

for the survival of businesses

is in my name is juan merodio and

Welcome new video

If this is your first time if you want to learn

all digital marketing tricks

Started by subscribing to my

destacaba cinco fases claramente

ideas no

songs in management las redes sociales

corporativas las herramientas claudi

potro vox

así como todas aquellas que permitan

tomar una conciencia digital

de igual modo el social business

intelligence ayuda a centrarse más en

los clientes que la propia organización

además podemos utilizar metodologías

como el design thinking no que facilita

el diseño de procesos y experiencias y

por supuesto sin olvidar el big data

para procesarla cada vez más ingente

cantidad de datos que tenemos a

disposición de las empresas por lo

tanto se debe pensar en soluciones

tecnológicas con capacidad de conectar

personas dispositivos y negocios

Introducing Me: a digital story - Duration: 3:22.

Hello!

My name is Emily Ford... yes, like the cars, or the president, or Harrison.

I'm 5-foot-6, I have four tattoos, big brown eyes, and sort of brown, sort of blonde hair.

It used to be really blonde; but oddly enough, I was actually born with red hair.

I am terrified of birds, but I like most other

animals; especially farm animals!

That is part of the reason why I am a vegan.

So, what is a vegan?

No, it doesn't mean that I am a hippie... though my mom says that I totally am.

"Vegan" just means that I don't eat any animal products... nope, not any.

I love to read!

Particularly, the fantasy genre, but I don't like Twilight.

I get my love of reading from my mom.

Speaking of family, this is my family!

This is my mom, my dad, and my younger sister Lauren, who was adopted from Russia.

This summer, we adopted a rescue pitbull; her name is Zolly.

She has crossed-eyes, so sometimes she stumbles around [clumsily], especially while she is

running.

Speaking of running: I do not run.

I'm not athletic in the slightest.

I'd much rather be watching Netflix in bed.

The only time I really enjoy being "active" is when I'm outdoors exploring or traveling

and touring the sights.

So far, I have been to Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Australia, Spain, Italy and France,

Germany, and the Czech Republic.

In the spring, I will be traveling to...

Argentina!

One of my major goals on my bucket list is to travel to all of the continents and as

many countries as possible.

So, here's to checking off South America.

That's all that I can really think of, so thanks for sticking it out and listening to

what I had to say.

Hopefully you enjoyed getting to meet me.

Research & Innovation 2017: Digital Detectives - Duration: 2:46.

Before I joined the doctoral program here at U of H,

I worked a couple of odd jobs outside of academia.

And one of them was in this field called SEO,

which is Search Engine Optimization.

It gives you an odd sense of the importance of

key words and key phrasings. It's hard to put into words,

but it kind of makes you think in that mode.

You're sort of dropped into that groove all the time.

Research that you do that's nonlinear, it's nondirect

it's more like browsing or play, in that you don't

really know what you're looking for precisely,

you're just in it. Doing this sort of play,

you can find all sorts of things that

you didn't know that you did want to find,

or that you didn't know would interest you.

And every sort of thing you read along the way

is another layer of that process.

A lot of the things that I do involve looking for problems,

rather than looking for specific items.

The sensation of my day-to-day work is

trying and failing over and over again

to locate certain things,

many of which I don't really even know are there.

Often I'm at my kitchen table

or I'm in bed when I should be asleep

doing this sort of work, and it's not that interesting,

if you were to take a real time look at it.

It's something that, for the person doing it,

is really an interesting way of reading through

the layers of history in America or World literature.

The interesting thing about the 19th century,

which is what I study particularly, is that

it's the birth of writer as a profession in America

where you're literally making your living

writing and writing and writing.

And so all of these newspapers and periodicals

spring out of nowhere, and there's

a huge periodical culture.

And there's a lot of people writing a lot of work,

most of which now is sealed away somewhere

being cared for.

And what fascinates me is the idea that a lot of these

could be brought back to the world, and that

archives could be turned inside out, digitally.
