Naomin and Nachu visited the National Museum of Western Arts,

which was selected as the first building of World Cultural Heritage in Tokyo

and enjoyed shopping at Ameyoko shopping street

The next place Naomin and Nachu, PASSPO visited is

Nagasaki prefecture in Kyushu

It takes only about two hours by air from Tokyo to Nagasaki

We feel it's unexpectedly near

We came to Nagasaki from Ueno, Tokyo

Look! Very nice view

Being widely open!

Now, we are next to the Glover Garden

We've already visited an Art Museum in Tokyo, registered on the World Heritage list

Former Glover House in the Glober Garden

is also registered as the World Cultural Heritage

I think there seem to be various kinds of the World Heritages in Nagasaki, too

Let's look at many World Heritages here in Nagasaki,

which are a bit different from the Tokyo's counterpart

Under the national isolation policy, as an only the city that was allowed to trade with foreign countries

Nagasaki evolved on their own

based upon the cultures of China and western countries

You can see many historical buildings here

First of all, they visited O-ura Tenshu-do (Catholic Church)

It's the Church! Great!

This is a National Treasure!

Is this also a World Heritage?

It'll be registered soon, I think

It'll be great to be registered on the World Heritage list!

O-ura Catholic Church was designated as a National Treasure

A French missionary built it in 1864, and

It's the oldest extant church in Japan

As the important church in histrical, artistic and religious respects

They highly expect this church to be registered as the World Cultural Heritage in the year of 2018

The two of PASSPO deeply touched the western culture,

The attractiveness of Nagasaki is much more than this

Look!

Gunkanjima Digital Museum

It's now a desert island, isn't it?

I've ever heard it

I want to go there. Where is it?

At this Digital Museum, there are 3D images of the island with Hashima coal mine,

which was registrated as the World Heritage in 2015, commonly known as "Gunkan-jima"

and a 30-meter screen projected by about 3 thousand pictures

Furthermore, simulated experience by VR, etc.,

You can experience the history of Gunkan-jima through the digital technology

To begin with, what's Gunkan-jima

As shown here, it's an island to mine coal, precisely!

A large amount of coal was deposited

This mine that produced coal for more than 100 years, so

The Gunkan-jima island flourished very much

In fact, I was born and have grown up in this island

You are a Gunkan-jima local, aren't you?

If so, you are very likely to give us useful information on the island

There is a very attractive tour to land the Gunkan-jima

Luckily enough, the cruise tour operates every day

Mr. Kinoshita, tour guide from Gunkan-jima accompanied with them

Let's start! When about 45 minutes have passed after setting sail,

On the right side, the Gunkan-jima came in sight

Wow, we can see Gunkan-jima

Oh, that's great!

Once thanks to the offshore coal mine, this island flourished and

supported the modernization of Japan

The quaywall surrounded the whole island and high-rise reinforced concrete apartments stand in a raw

its external appearance looks like a warship,

so it turned to be called Gunkan-jima, a warship islalnd, in English,

Let's land the Gunkan-jima with a bizarre atmosphere excites all the spectators

How wonderful!

Huge!

Vigorous!

Since many people were expected to live in such a small island,

high-rise housing comples constructed with reinforced concrete

were built in 1916 for the first ime in Japan

At peak, about 5,300 people lived here

The population desity of the island of those days was the highest in the world

It's because this island was registrated as the World Cultural Heritage,

Participants of the landing tour can visit only a limited area in the island

However, very fortunately, they could get a special approval

to visit at some restricted areas

Please look over the left side

They are so big!

This was the seven storied Hashima Junior High School

From the first to fourth floors were used for an elementary school and

the 5th and 7th floor which you can currently see its broken roof, was a junior high school

Did you go to this school?

Yes, I did!

The building in front of you was Hashima Hospital

Why not look in?

What's that?

That's the light of the operating room

They are untouched as it was at that time

You can see a slipper and other stuff

About how many years ago would that be?

They are untouched at that time

Forty something years ago. It's remaining as it was

This is No.65 block

This was a courtyard of No.65 block

Courtyard?

I used to live in the room at top floor of this building

Is that ture?

This side of the building is located at the northmost

It was awfully cold in winter

Horrible!

A lot of people used to live here. That's right!

Although the situation in here drastically changed compared to those days we lived at the time

However, my hometown is nothing but here. It does not change!

Just listening to your story

I thought It would be joyful to live in this island

I truely wish for many tourists to come to this island registrated as World Heritage more and more

and to know about how wonderful this Gunkan-jima is

By closing the mine, it has been a desert island for 43 years

At the Gunkan-jima registered as World Cultural Heritage brought about public attention again,

They had a very precious experience

The place they go continuously is

Since we are here in Nagasaki, we want to have something delicious

Speaking of Nagasaki, of course, Castella!

That's right!

Here it is!

We came over to Bunmeido, a castella shop

The Dejima in Nagasaki, which was the only the place being allowed to trade with western countries in 17th century and

The castella shop, Bunmeido started business near Dejima in 1900

The castella was said to be introduced to the Christian city, Nagasaki in 16th century by a Portuguese missionary

That evolved on their own

Here is a traditional standard castella

Granulated sugar is adhered to the bottom of castella

That's the characteristics of Nagasaki castella

I'll prepare some for you

Please wait for a moment

Let's try dishes of castella

Bright yellow!

Very good!

Oh, it's thick dough!

It's moist

Granulated sugar in the bottom of castella is very good

Just right sweetness!

This is a well-known brand of castella you should not miss whenever you come to Nagasaki

By the way, succesivly, they are going on to

Shimabara city located in the southern part of Nagasaki prefecture

Once, this city prospered as a castle town of Shimabara Castle, and

Even now, Shimabara, also called lagoon city, maintains the townscape with an exotic atmosphere even now,

Spring water flowing along the street is chosen as "Famous Water in Japan"

You can see carps swimming gracefullyy in the clean stream

Water is running! That's right!

Spring water? Yes, it is

It says we can drink it freely

It's very cold and tasty!

Very mild. Water is smooth

Hello, Oh, hello

I was very surprised! We were drinking without permission

It's a guite all right!

Are you a shorekeeper of this shop?

Yes, I'm a shopkeeper of this hardware shop. A master of the hardware?

If you are interested in, why not have a look? Yes, definitely!

The Inohara hardware store with about 140 years' history

is registrated as Tangible Cultural Properties of Japan

The store stocks various maniac items and

there are Cafe with using springwater and gallery in the rear of the shop

There are a wide variety of goods

I don't know where to see, scissosrs

Something like cutting tools, kitchenwares,

Out of all of these, the most interesting item is a real throwing nife

This is a genuine one. Really?

A blacksmith living in Miki city of Hyogo prefecture, strictly restored the throwing nife of Edo era

It's cool!

I've seen a genuine Shuriken for the first time

It's for Ninja

Can I buy it?

Yes, you can

This is the first time to see a real Shuriken

Many foreign visitors come here, don't they?

Yes, a lot

What do they look for, then?

Shuriken, I've just showed you

and swords

Oh, there are also swords here, too

This is not for sale. This was made about 600 years ago, called Wakizashi, short sword

Someone got the sword, has been taken well care of this for 600 years,

therefore, you can see the original Wakizashi kept in good condition

They feel as if they were in a toy box,

They never get tired of looking at goods displayed in the shop

You may find your faverite goods

Well, since they are here in Shimabara,

they can't remove the local gourmet

Above all, the speciality of Shimabara, Kanzarashi,

which has loved by local forks from ancient times

is made by using Shimabara's springwater, and

it's plain, but superb sweets with refined sweetness

This shop let visitors have experience of handmaking it

Right away, let's make "Shiratama-dango (rice-flour dumplings)

Knead, knead! Very enjoyable!

This is the first time to make Shiratama-dango

Really?

It's joyful

I'm sure to say the dumplings being sold in the shop are delicious, but

If you make it yourself, it'll be much more delicious to you

After kneading it fully, it's rodlikely extended and

cut it into about 1 cm size each and roll it

After boiling in boiling water for about 2 minutes

Kanzarashi, Shimabara's speciality is completed

It looks delicious!

Let's eat!

It's chewy

Very good!

This syrup is sweet, isn't it?

We use yellow soft sugar, granulated sugar and honey for the syrup

The atmosphere here is great, isn't it?

If you eat Kanzarashi with looking at the beautiful garden,

You may feel like it is much more delicious

Comfortable!

I feel time goes by slowly here

This is just Japan, I think.

Japan!

Kanzarashi of Shimabara specialty!

Why not try it together with unspoilt landscape

We visited a variety of wonderful places here in Shimabara

It was so nice!

Although I thought Tokyo was great, Nakasaki was also really wonderful

Gunkanjima was superb, wasn't it? Exactly!

I truely thought it was so great

A variety of things of those days are untuched as it was

The power of human is amazingly great, isn't it?

Both Ueno and Nagasaki are very attractive places, so

We highly recommend everyone to visit there

Except for the placs the two charming ladies visited,

there are lots of joyful places and beautiful sceneries

Please refer to a recommendable journey plan listed above

You can easily visit the must-sees in Ueno and Nakasaki based on this jouney plan

Design Festa in Tokyo Big Sight 2018: Japan's Largest Art Event - Duration: 3:58.

Hey guys it's Linh, today I will introduce to you the Design Festa – claimed to the

largest art and performance event in Japan and in Asia

This event is a platform for over 12000 artists to gather and express their art and creativity

It is held twice a year in Tokyo Big Sight as known as the biggest convention and exhibition

center in Tokyo Although you have to pay to get into this

event, the price is very affordable It's only 1000 yen per day and 1800 for

a 2-day pass The area is huge and is divided into different

areas There are around 5000 booths where people

exhibit and sell original illustration, crafts, accessories that they made by themselves

I found so many cute and cool stuffs that it was really hard to keep myself from buying

everything

Besides those booths, I also really enjoyed

the Live Painting area where I observed artists creating amazing paintings on the wall

Somehow, seeing all these talented people was really inspiring and I really wish I could

do something like that

Design festa encourages every individual to

express themselves without any boundary so there were many art installations as well

and many people wearing costumes walking around in the exhibition

I happened to run into this booth where they were demonstrating how to do screen printing

which was really interesting Customers can choose the colors that they

want to be printed on their items and all of the colors will be put on this board

After that, they just use pressure to apply the colors on the specific item and the result

is amazing

What do you think about this event?

Personally, I think it was awesome and I definitely will come back here again in November and

next year as well Thank you for watching and remember to like,

share and subscribe for more videos about life and travel in Japan

That's it for now and I will see you again soon!

Bye bye~

【AmaitsukiCafé】Japan Impact is back ! - Vlog【PART 1】 - Duration: 11:13.

Hello everybody !

We are Amaitsuki

a group of 22 members, we live in France

This year we got to participate in the Japan Impact convention

located in Lausanne, Switzerland

15 members got to participate

To better organise rehearsals, we separated in two groups

Team North, made up of Kurimu, Ume,

Mikan, Ocha, Remon,

and Mochi

And Team South, made up of Youshu, Chocominto, Kyuuri,

Reishi, Mizu, Maccha,

Aroe, Kokonatsu, and Momo

The members of each team chose 4 songs together

then, early February,

both rehearsals were organised one or two weeks before the show

One in Paris for Team North,

and one in Lyon for Team South with Mochi

Enjoy

Team North rehearsal

In the end, the rehearsal was canceled.

Thanks to good communication,

all the girls were informed on time !

(Except for Remon who went to Paris and rehearsed on her own...)

That was a lie

We are Saturday February 3rd

Today

is the day of the rehearsal

Hey there !

Oh ! What's that ?

It's the vlog !

We leave for Paris territory

to rehearse

in this

very cold day

It sounds like I'm speaking as if we were...

were during the 18th century

Hey ?! How do you turn the camera around ?

No, we don't, we can't do it

We're lost !

GPS mission : let's find the dance hall

Do you see, it doesn't say we're good, but I think if we cross we're good

Come on let's go

I would have like to have my partner to do that

Yeah, me too...

Who's your partner for this ?

It's Maccha !

Maccha is required at the reception desk Hey Maccha !

Oh my god !

Did you hear that serial killer tone ?!

Maccha is required at the reception desk

Please exterminate her promptly.

This is horrible !

I think we won't have a partner at all, any of us

Well no. I'm doing it with Choco, she's not here either

I'm doing it with Reishi

We're the forever alone team

This is the line where we fall all of the sudden. Ok

There we are like that

Who falls first ?

I'm in fourth position

And me, I fall afterwards

I fall at five

What's this training ?

Team South rehearsal

Happy birthday Choco

But no...

Let's just hope there's no fire alarm in the room

What are you doing hidden in the changing rooms ?

I propose that those who go up this way,

don't make any noise

We go in at the same time

*They want to surprise the girls rehearsing on the first floor

It leads directly to the door

There's another door

Oh no, it's locked

I knew it !

Fail

And that's how rehearsal went for both teams !

The girls are finally ready

for the convention in Lausanne !

It's five in the morning

I took my suitcase and left for Lausanne

Ah~ It's so early...

Ah who it is ?

Hey there !

Hey there !

I won a voucher...

Eh Choco ! Can we do a product placement ?

Our dance hall

It's a strategy : you do it this way

And then, you go through there

And you, you go through there

However if ever you got it wrong, there will be a slight problem

It's ok it got recorded Remon !

It's fine

Product placement : Star Wars !

They're clean !

Of course !

A word ?

A word ? Eh... There you go

A word ?

A word ?

Wow wow yeah yeah ah ha ah ha

Ume

Mikan

Ume

Mikan

Ume

Mikan

Ume

Who's the one who lost his piece of bread ?

It's you It's the one who gets to pay a forfeit

No I didn't ! I didn't lose any of my bread !

It's really frustrating, I want to go do some wotagei, me !

To be continued

I am the Sky King.

Have you noticed? I have 3 straight losses in the first round.

What's that? I had 3 straight losses last year, as well?

And it's going around that I had 3 straight losses two years before that, also, right?

Whatever, nobody remembers the past. I'm not bothered to care about it, either.

Next… Tomorrow… I'll face Will Ospreay in a tournament match.

I'm not giving up, yet.

I'm looking forward to facing the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.

EN SERIO.

MA-JI-DE.

I'll say the same thing I did last year...

I want BUSHI to show more fire in this BEST OF THE SUPER Jr.

For us, Los Ingobernables de Japon, BUSHI is especially crucial.

You guys already know that he's one of the top competitors in his division, right?

However, he's sitting at 3 straight losses...

I want him to show his greed, the side we rarely see from him.

As a fan, I'm enjoying this year's SUPER Jr.

But I'm not overly concerned, these are just random thoughts.

Also, here in Osaka...

I'll be back here on June 9th.

Dominon in Osaka-Jo Hall.

However, it's not here yet, we've still got two weeks to go.

I'll focus on him just before. That should be good, right?

He's a world-wide superstar, isn't he?

But he's just another wrestler. I don't need to do anything different.

Anyway, I've got to go change now.

Dragon Lee and Takahashi Hiromu are main-eventing today.

I have to check it out, so excuse me.

So, hasta mañana.

Adios.

Demon Blades of Muramasa | Famous Weapons of Japan - Duration: 6:16.

He lived in the Muromachi Period and was said to be one of the best.

Muramasa Sengo, one of the most famous swordsmiths in Japan.

The swordsmithing school he founded was famous for making blades even sharper than those

sold in infomercials.

They could cut through wood, metal, plastic...

and can be yours for three easy payments of $29.95!

The man himself had a unique reputation.

He wasn't very nice.

He was insane.

He would erupt into violence at those around him.

His mind swayed over the edge, about to fall into madness at any moment.

A genius, unstable, bloodthirsty demon who made good swords.

A dark mythos emerged around Muramasa swords.

People associated his toxic personality with his swords, as if he imbued them with his

demonic spirit.

All kinds of outrageous rumors spread.

They said the swords were as bloodthirsty as their creator.

Once you drew a Muramasa blade, it demanded the taste of blood before you could sheath

it.

Even cutting down an enemy was not enough if the blade did not deem the enemy worthy.

And if there were no worthy enemies around, you had to draw your own blood, or even kill

yourself.

When left sheathed for too long, the blade hungered and pushed for its owner to find

a victim.

While wielding a Muramasa, people gained the power of

anonymous Internet commenters:

extreme toughness, protection from harm,

and an irrational hatred for everyone around them.

There were stories of people blindly striking down their friends and family, people who

went crazy under the wicked grip of their swords, people killing themselves to escape

the madness.

These were merely stories, of course, but one person who took them seriously was Tokugawa

Ieyasu, the legendary founder of the Tokugawa shogunate.

A series of coincidences convinced Tokugawa Ieyasu that Muramasa swords had it out for

the Tokugawa clan.

The first incident happened with the grandfather of Tokugawa Ieyasu, a man named Matsudaira

Kiyoyasu, we'll call him Grampa Kiyoyasu.

There are many versions of this story, with small details changed, but the gist is the

same.

Grampa Kiyoyasu was the head of the Matsudaira clan.

They were in a conflict with the Oda.

A rumor circulated that a loyal retainer of Grampa Kiyoyasu, Abe Sadayoshi, was secretly

on the enemy's side.

The rumors ate at Sadayoshi, and he feared his execution was coming.

Sadayoshi called his son and told him even if he were executed, his son should continue

serving the Matsudaira.

In another version of the story, he told his son to kill him to prove his loyalty.

One day, the son heard a ruckus outside, the sound of horses and of Grampa Kiyoyasu shouting.

Thinking his father's execution was taking place, he burst outside.

We'll never know if he wanted to witness it, to stop it, or to kill his father himself

(as his father requested) to protect the family's honor.

Upon seeing Grampa Kiyoyasu, the son drew his sword, adrenalin in his veins, and struck.

The sword cut deep and clean, killing the lord of the Matsudaira.

Yashichi, the son's name, heard his lord's final words before he himself was cut down

by a bodyguard.

"Yashichi," said the lord.

"Please…

delete my Internet history."

When they inspected the blade Yashichi used, it was revealed to be a Muramasa.

The next incident involved the father of Tokugawa Ieyasu: Matsudaira Hirotada.

Daddy Hirotada was cut in his sleep by an assassin.

Bleeding, he crawled outside and called out.

The guards chased after the assassin and killed him.

Daddy Hirotada survived, apparently the attacker was drunk and missed his mark.

When they removed the assassin's sword from its handle, it revealed the famed Muramasa

signature.

Tokugawa Ieyasu himself had run-ins with the Muramasa blades.

As a child, he accidentally cut himself with his sword.

Guess what, it was a Muramasa.

Later in life, Ieyasu was in an alliance with the Oda clan, led by Oda Nobunaga.

Nobunaga suspected Ieyasu's wife was secretly plotting with their mutual enemy, the Takeda.

Ieyasu needed this alliance, so to quell suspicions, he ordered his wife executed.

He then ordered his son to commit seppuku, ritual suicide.

Ieyasu admitted that he did not suspect his son, but could not risk his son avenging his

mother's death.

He went on to win father of the year later that year.

His son did his duty.

During seppuku, someone stood behind you to cut off your head.

Turns out the sword the decapitator used on Ieyasu's son was...a Muramasa.

Just one more incident, I promise.

After a battle, Tokugawa Ieyasu was amazed that someone had pierced a spear clean through

an enemy's head and helmet.

While inspecting the spear, he cut his hand, then made a joke, "ha ha it must be a Muramasa."

After checking, lo and behold, it was!

Ieyasu said "Jesus Christ" and banned all Muramasa blades from Earth.

There is some debate on how much this ban was enforced, but many swords were destroyed

or melted down.

Now swords were expensive, and many family swords were heirlooms passed down for generations.

So instead of destroying the swords, many people simply removed the Muramasa signature

or changed it to something else.

The myth that Muramasa blades thirsted for Tokugawa blood endured, and enemies of the

Tokugawa actively sought out these blades.

This created a kind of black market for them and many forgeries.

Unfortunately for us, this makes it hard to determine if a Muramasa today is real or fake.

So why did the Tokugawa have so much trouble with Muramasa swords?

Was there really a curse?

Of course not! What is this, anime?

It was all coincidental, confirmation bias.

And the coincidences were not that big.

Muramasa swords were popular, many people had them.

So if someone was killed by a sword, there's a decent chance it was a Muramasa.

My Views on the Yuta's Response Video (Response to "That Japanese Man Yuta") - Duration: 20:23.

So this video is my response to That Japanese man YuTa.

For those who don't know what's going on,

a few days ago, a Japanese YouTuber Yuta

he uploaded a response video

about my videos about black people I uploaded quite long time ago.

Only For this 3 days alone,

More than 20 people sending me the link and saying like,

"Hey! Racist! Just watch this and go fuck yourself"

"See! Yuta is our side. You're completely loser, Scumbag!"

"Nobita, you're totally wrong. Because Yuta is saying this"

As soon as they found a big influence YouTuber

opposing my opinions,

they immediately jump on the wagon

and start attacking me again using his words as a credit.

And so many people are really happy now,

"Nobita pissed off even Yuta"

and now they're hating each other just like China and Japan.

That's completely wrong. I don't take it personally at all.

And We still talk each other and have a drink together as a friend.

I'm sure he's gonna not take it personally either

but my big concern is

his many fans watching this get triggered

"Oh my gosh, my favorite YouTuber is attacked by a racist."

So let me make this clear

I'm not against Yuta as a person

I'm simply opposing his opinions, not personality.

Actually, there're definitely some good points I do agree with

and I need to apologize for that.

Anyway, let's get started

If you haven't watched his video yet,

I want you to check it out first.

So you get all the context.

Yes, this is definitely what I went wrong.

So Let me tell now

who I was talking about exactly, specially

I still believe that these people may be dangerous for Japan

As you might already know,

In the videos about black people I uploaded,

I often talk about something only happening in the US

and the title and description are saying like that

So I thought I don't need to specify those people

my audience already know who I'm talking about

since majority of my audience are from the US

More importantly,

I didn't really know what I should call those people

so I just said black people, referring to those people

That was my huge mistake

I wish I could go back

If I don't clearly specify like this,

many people think I'm talking about all the entire black people

all over the world

Let me tell you one of possible reasons

why I made the stupid mistake

As a Japanese person,

I'm really used to non-verball communication

which is completely the opposite from western style communication

In a conversation, we often omit and simplify something

and rather than words,

we often communicate

based on the context and situation

I'm really used to that

So actually, Japanese people tend to make this kind of mistake all the time

maybe you already know

But that's a shitty excuse. I know that

That was completely my fault

My apologies for that

By the way, let me emphasize this part

I'm not gonna argue white privilege actually exists or not

That's not my focus

Whether it's real or not is one thing

But believing it or not is another

Because even if that's true,

as long as you don't believe that,

And the idea of white privilege and systemic racism itself,

if you bring up that here,

that's dangerous for Japan

I know this looks too angry

and crazy white supremacist

But I want you to understand that

I said in that way, because I really don't want you to believe white privilege

even if that's true

So the question is, can you justify discrimination?

Of course, No

Now believe or not,

I never said you can justify discrimination

just based on the statistics

I know it sounded like that

I'm gonna blame you you misunderstood

but I never actually meant that

And if you really don't like racial profiling

and you really wanna change discrimination based on the color,

If you do nothing and just whining about that,

Yes, I do think maybe you're asking too much

Now, let me ask you if you live in the US

When some tragedy happens by black people like this,

do you see many black people strongly condemning those black people?

I'm sure some do

but correct me if I'm wrong

majority of the liberal black people who are strongly agasint racism

As long as that racism is toward white people,

they're just quiet

And some people even saying like this

I'm really shocked even a public person saying that

But This is just one example

liberal black people not taking the black crimes seriously.

OK, let's say Japanese people committed so many crimes

What I'm gonna do is

I would be strongly strict to Japanese people.

And at least do something to reduce the crimes

until the bad stereotype ends

It all comes down to this

If people see the crime rate is actually dropping,

I'm sure they're gonna give you discrimination anymore

I know some people do, but not most people

Because at this point, they don't have the reason.

When Logan Paul was behaving dispectfully in Japan,

so many foreigners including many white people

were strongly condemning and treating him like a crimminal

When something like that happens by a black person in the US,

I don't see many liberal black people accusing the criminal

Again, some do. I know that

But not marority

my biggest issue is

they don't talk about black on black crime

and seriously work on the issue

Attacking another group instead

is not gonna solve anything

If you wanna stop racial discrimination,

Don't get me wrong

Discrimination cannot be justified no matter what

But in my opinion,

it doesn't mean you can just be whining about that

and do nothing

Yes, That's completely right.

So I actually apologized about that before

although Yuta didn't show that part

But let me apologize again

Yes. anyone can play the victim

Not just liberal African Americans

However, based on my experience in Japan and New Orleans,

I have to say this

Now, it's important to keep in mind that

my experience is totally different from Yuta's and yours

Just because your experience with black peoole is really positive,

t doesn't mean every single black person in the US is a good person

And this is my YouTube channel, right?

Just like you can talk about anything on your channel or blog,

at least on my channel,

I should be allowed to talk about anything based on my experience

not yours

Don't get me wrong

Talking with many black people,

I found so many positive qualifies as well

For example, the black people I met

they were mostly really patient about my horrible English

Keep in mind, when I was in New Orleans,

my English was way more horrible than now

I've met so many foreigners who can't take my English

and just making fun of my accent and prononciation

But the most black people I met

patiently wait until I finish the sentence

willing to listen what I'm trying to say

which I really appreciate that

I found they have so many good qualities

I can actually talk about that forever.

Because I know in the long term,

that's gonna be more beneficial for you

even though that's gonna hurt your feelings at that moment

and maybe you gonna hate me a lot

As you know, talking about race is kinda tattoo

especially in front of black people

at least in the US

Many people are afraid of saying something negative to them

But when I actually saw their problems,

something in common

I couldn't just hold it back

Why? Because I personally really care about black people

since my best friend happens to be a black person

Now believe or not,

I do not think

people who disagree with me are all stupid

and only my opinion is true

I know it sounded like that

the way I said

But I never actually think like that

By the way, this is what I noticed

When you say something strongly that people really agree with,

they think you are passionate

But if that's something they don't wanna hear

even if you say exactly the same thing

they think that you are too angry

scary and you're just doing a hate speech

OK, I said in the too aggressive way

or too emotional way or whatever you call it

hat's Because I was really sinking tired of the media and people

I really don't understand that

Why do they treat black people like weak people?

That's completely wrong

They don't need a special treatment or sympnachy

So many successful black people already prove that

Anyway, let me clarify this again

I do not think people opposing my opinions are stupid or anything like that

If you wanna disagree, that's totally OK

I know I look too angry, but that's actually totally OK

But seems like it's not OK for some people

which is really said

where is the Free Speech?

I've had a lot of conversations with people

who strongly disagree with me

Actually, it's quite rare

to meet someone having the same opinion as me

I'm deeply sorry for your friend, Yuta

But Here is my issue

It seems like you're assuming

her color is the reason

How do you know that?

Did you actually ask them and make sure that

her color is the reason?

Maybe that's because of other factors, right?

You see, this is what annoys me.

When something bad happened to you

many people just assume

that's because you're black

Anyway, since Yuta shared his personal story,

let me share my personal story as well

In Tokyo, there's a street, it's called Takeshita street

And on the street,

there're always bunch of black guys

Actually, you can also see that at a certain area in Shibuya

And one of female Japanese friends

She was really scared and she said

she will never go there again

Unfortunately, she is not the only vicim

Many other Japanese people as well

I'm not saying only black people commit a crime like that.

But here is my point

As you might already know,

on that street, Japanese police officers often go around

as well as Roppongi and Shibuya

I know this is just a possibility

It's unlikely to be true

But maybe

maybe the police officer actually saw the crime by a black person

and because of that,

My question is

which one should be to blame more?

What the police officer did to her was not OK

but who should you're angry to more?

We all know discrimination is really bad

But as a human being, we're not perfect

We often do something subconsciously based on the past experience

I'm really wondering why she didn't ask the police officer

why only she is questioned

That's because she couldn't speak Japanese enough?

I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but If that's the case

she is also to blame

if she's a foreign resident or immigrant

because you're just able to speak Japanese

you're more likely to do well with this kind of situation

Yes, I do agree with that

but that's under the condition of these two

I know this sounds too strict

, maybe I'm asking too much but this is my strong belief

If you don't execute these two

I don't think you deserve to have

exactly the same rights as other Japanese people

By the way, I'm not talking about toursits, I'm talking about foreign residents or immigrants

As a Japanese teacher,

I've seen that kind of discrimination all the time

Many of my students have an experience like that

especially in a workpalce

But I found In most cases

that's simply because they don't speak Japanese enough

Maybe it doesn't bother some Japanese people like Yuta

speaking fluent English and traveling around

and seeing many other cultures

But what about other most Japanese people?

They don't speak English well

And quite many Japanese have never been to another country

foreigners who don't even speak the same language

do you really think those people are completely OK for Japanese people

and they have exactly the same rights?

Of course, they're not gonna complain in front of you

but deep inside, maybe you're annoyed

What Yuta says sounds really good to you

but maybe that's because you're a foreigner side

I don't care if you're foreigners or minority

I don't even speak the same language and appreciate the culture,

I don't think you're qualified to complain a lot

Because to me, you're not even on the stage at this point

If you wanna complain, why not do that in Japanese?

So we can at least listen to you. We can have a discussion about that.

Bit If you don't speak Japanese anyway,

how could we trust you?

How could we understand you?

But you wanna still demand exactly the same rights?

Now when I say speaking Japanese

it seems too demanding and fucking crazy.

So let me emphasize this

What I want to see from you is

I don't know about other Japanese people

but me personally

just putting out simple Japanese words ramadomly would be enough

Because at this point, I can totally see your effort

From what I see, however, especially many western residents in Japan

are not even making effort

to improve Japanese language and just complaining in English

So of course, most Japanese people don't even understand why they're dissatisfied

OK take a look at this

I totally agree with that

And in my opinion,

which means for example,

if your committed a crime,

some people might think your bother is also a bad person

Now, let's talk about indivials and collectivism

Japan is more like a collectivism society

Many people have group mentality

I know maybe this is something you don't like about Japan

Especially in western society

is a really improtant value

But why do you think Japan is a safe country?

the group mentality has a huge influence on that

If you do something bad,

In that system,

we can be accountable each other

and keep on the same page

This statement sounds really good

But may be not really apply in Japan

Whether you like it or not, in Japan people see you as a representative of a group

That group could be family, company, school or race

This Japanese concept is called うち and そと

Actually I'm gonna talk about this concept in another video.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you can treat someone unfairly

just because the family member did a bad thing

Again, discrimination cannot be justified

But like I said earlier, that's understandable at least

So which one would you like to blame more?

the one who treated you unfairly

Of course, both of them should be to blame

let me simplify more clearly

a white person treated you unfairly

Or a black person who committed a crime

and that caused

the white person to do discrimination

Deeper Culturural Differences Between Japan and America - Duration: 3:47.

3 surprising things !

Hello everyone, I'm KenSensei. I'd like to talk about 3 things that I was surprised after moving to America today

There're 3 things that I want you to pay attention when watching this video

The first one is

That I want you to check how much you understand the video without subtitle

The second one is that I want you to focus on fillers that I use. For example,

" Um... " " Let's see... "

The third one is

That please pay attention to conjunction like " After that " or " And then "

The first things that surprised me was

For instance, there're a lot of places to throw out trash. I found garbage cans when walking on the street or

or when I went to a grocery stores.

Literally everywhere! ( So convinient! )

We don't have garbage cans at all ( in public )

For example,

We do have them in the station, but they'll be gone when the government take counter-terror measures.

Therefore, we're mostly like have to take trash with you home ( So convinient, right? lol )

The second one is

People working at Grocery stores in the States often have conversation with customers. In Jappan, they just say

And

They just scan the barcode of the product you're buying and say

" It's 530 yen " and we pay that, and that it is.

In America,

Like that. They have the conversation (the greeting ) first, and sometime they start more conversation

or

they end up just greeting

I think there're a lot of times that clerks and customers talk here

Also, I encourage the situation where people say

" Nice hat! "

or " Nice shoes " to others. People often compliment on other people's outfit

That never happens in Japan

That never happens in Japan at all

If people say those things to strangers in Japan

People might think your're strange

The third one is

That you can use your credit cards anywhere. Like fast food stores or

Convince stores

Of course at grocery stores

or else where in the U.S.

I think people do use credit cards very often ( instead of cash ). In Japan,

Credit-card-culture isn't so common * ( Compared to America )

When we use them,

when we stay at hotel,

when we go to an expensive restaurant. We use credit cards when we spend lot of money

I only talked about 3 things that

surprised me in America today, but I have lot more

So please let me know if you like this kind of video by clicking the " Like👍" button.

Japan 2017 - Takayama | VLOG last hours - Duration: 1:23.

So now, I am at the top of a park

where you can see Takayama in background

This is my last morning

And after I will go to Tokyo

3 days was running very fast

With the festival when I arrived

Then

I walked around

At night, there's not much to do, but it's nice to visit the city

Yesterday, I walked in the ancient temples

Then, the afternoon, Shirakawa-gō

It was very nice!

It was running fast because

there's an hour's drive there and the same thing on the way back

and we were only there for two hours

but it was really worth it, we had

a good weather so the best to imagine

by the way, that's what the guide said.

I could drink sake reserved for the gods

that we can just drink the October 14 and 15

It's true that it's not bad Well, basically

it's sake that's not filtered so it is still white with grains of rice

but it's fruity enough so it's pretty cool.

I also had the opportunity to see old houses: Gashos.

with the snow, it allows them

to avoid the weight on it
