For the evolution and progression of a better

future, the digital revolution is the best way.

The revolution is all about the transformation

of the accomplishments of humans.

All these transformations that take place have a lot of

diverse effects on the human life as well as in the world.

The effects can take place in the cultural form or the

traditional form and also in the economy of a country.

The digitalization is not just about the new technology, but

it is a way through which technology can be used effectively.

With the help of the digital Revolution which is also known as the third

industrial revolution, many things were introduced to the mankind.

One of the best technologies which were introduced by the digital

Revolution or the third industrial revolution is the internet.

It is among the most common Technologies which are used nowadays.

With the help of digital computers, many things are made

possible, and a better way to use the internet is found.

The internet also introduced the new ways of interaction or communication.

Not just for the communication, but the internet has played a substantial

role in the expansion of a number of businesses and companies.

To reach the global level, there was an extensive requirement of a robust platform.

So that platform is attained in the form of the internet,

through which people can reach globally for their interests.

The Digital Revolution has helped in transforming the analog

as well as a mechanical technology to the digital technology.

Nowadays the use of email or social media websites is extremely common.

People use a number of platforms that are available on

the internet for their businesses and personal use.

There plenty of industries and companies which are

exporting and importing products from across the world.

With the help of the internet, many things have become easier, such as the interaction

with people who are living in thousands of kilometers away from each other.

Earlier there were limited resources for communication such as telegraph or letters.

But now there are plenty of options available for

interacting with people from distinct countries.

A lot of companies are reaching the global level from where

it becomes easy to work and provide services to the clients.

There are many companies which can provide products

as well as services without taking weeks or months.

The latest technology assists in the shopping and the delivery

of products, undoubtedly this process has become faster.

All of these facilities are rendered because of the

industrial revolution that took place as digitalization.

There is a lengthy history of digital Revolution,

and it all started in the year 1947.

Since then, many things are started to change, and

development in the digital form also started taking place.

The digital revolution has gone through an extended journey

and in between many changes took place in the world.

Earlier there were portable phones which were only used to call and text.

But this was the situation before the introduction of pagers.

As the cell phones were introduced, people started taking an interest,

but that was the time when things were relatively extravagant.

The cost of cell phones which exist in the earlier times

used to be too much, and not everybody could yield them.

In contrast, everyone has a cell phone in today's era.

The communication was increased with the introduction of cell phone,

and after the Genesis of the internet, things changed rapidly.

There was also a time when black and white televisions were famous,

but now the situation and circumstances are totally different.

Now many electronic items and appliances are available.

The variety which can be seen today was not there in the past.

Now not just the television or mobile phones but also the other appliances such

as refrigerators or washing machines, are becoming more digitalized than ever.

Apart from all the factors of the digital revolution, it is also

important to understand the various advantages and disadvantages of it.

It is a fact that many Technologies emerge, and many of them also go extinct.

Most of the new technologies that emerge are

there to provide better facilities to the users.

There is also a case of the negative impacts

of Technology which cannot be ignored.

There are a number of advantages of digital revolution,

but there are a plenty of disadvantages too.

Digital Revolution has changed the way in which businesses and

companies work and with the help of this productivity is multiplied.

The Revolution has helped businesses to reach new Heights, and many

companies gain a lot of revenues by adopting the most recent technologies.

Along with the internet, many other gadgets such

as tablets are bestowed by the digital revolution.

The communication has made easier than ever, and transparency

can be noticed in different departments of the companies.

The disadvantages like the job redundancies and cyber threats

are the unwanted gifts received from the digital revolution.

The various demerits are harmful to the children as well as the adults.

Apart from the various advantages, the digital Revolution

has a great significance and a crucial role to play.

The Revolution has helped in enhancing and improving the

productivity of a number of companies and businesses.

Nowadays people have a great platform with the help of which they can transform

their interests into a digital business and get better profits and revenues.

The cloud services are also provided with the digital revolution and the latest

technology which help in storing data and accessing any data at any time and place.

The Revolution has a lot of impacts on the personal

life, social life as well as the life of individuals.

The advantages of the new technology can help children to grow, but

the adverse effects of the technology can be very harmful to them.

Therefore, there is an urgent requirement to understand the difference between

all these good and bad factors and make an efficient use of Technology.

The utilization of the technology in a proper way can be

less harmful whereas the exploitation is always dangerous.

The distribution has provided a podium through which people

and companies can grow, and the businesses can be enhanced.

Catullus 101 + From a traditional sketch to a digital painting - Duration: 8:40.

The atrocious pain that fills me is insupportable.

Having been carried through many tribes and seas,

I arrive, brother, to these wretched funeral rites,

so that I may present you with the last tribute of death

and speak in vain to a silent ash.

Since fortune has taken you, yourself, away from me,

alas, poor brother, unfairly taken away from me,

In the meantime now, nevertheless, these things which in the ancient custom of ancestors

are handed over as a sad tribute to the funeral rites,

accept them, drenched with brotherly weeping,

and forever, brother,

hail and farewell.

1 Year Digital Art Anniversary!!! — What I Wish I Had Known😂 - Duration: 11:31.

Hey guys!

It's Lolly Bee! This month's focus for the art warriors was digital art and

my one year anniversary of starting digital is coming up,

So I took this as an opportunity to kind of look back on what all I've learned in almost a year (laughter)

This video is about the things I really wish

I had known when I started digital for the first time. So brace yourselves cuz I'm about to show you the very first digital piece

I ever drew (laughter)

so...

This is it (nervous laughter)

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and it definitely shows.

It's really hard to believe that that was less than a year ago though. I'm kind of blown away by that.

I still use the same software, MediBang,

So everything I'm going to say will apply to that. But most art software's are generally the same,

So even if you don't use MediBang there should still be some helpful information in here (laughter)

So of course since it's a redraw I used the same character.

It's a slightly different pose. But basically the same thing. So first things first, just layers.

Of course the drawing that I did is on a completely separate layer and I always turn down the opacity so I can

see the line art that I'm drawing over it. I also always use folders.

I will put all of the line art in one folder all the colors in one folder

and all of the background in one folder so that if I want to

transform something, all of it gets transformed together. I also always use a g-pen in for my line art

depending on the size of the canvas

this one actually must have been bigger than

what I normally do, cuz normally I use a 5 but I moved it up to 8 and I think later I

I'm pretty sure I increased it to a 10.

I also just wanted to mention that I'm gonna be kind of jumping around a little bit so that I can

thoroughly explain all the different tools that I use. So I'm gonna move on to the next thing which is the eyeballs.

Because this particular character is supposed to have one kind of blind eye,

I did all of that in blue so that it kind of stands out and you can tell, you know, it's different.

Also something I have never done before but I I it was kind of like a happy mistake (laughter)

I...

Didn't turn up the opacity all the way for the little eye highlights.

Also,

I always put them on a separate layer because, I just, the more layers you use the easier is gonna be to

fix them up if something's wrong and all of that.

So when in doubt, use a new layer (laughter)

Now I am going on to the flats. So I make a new folder with new color layers

And the first thing I always start with is the skin. Don't ask me why I just have weird little isms (laughter)

Also, it's

extremely important to make sure that all of your line art layers, any ones that you have, are above any color layers.

The reason for that is that layers kind of work like gravity.

If you have a pillow on top of a blanket, you're going to see the pillow and not the blanket, so...

Um that's probably a bad visual (laughter)

But layers work the same way. So if you have the color layer on top of the line art layers,

then the color will start to cover up your line art and you don't want that.

You'll see me kind of messing around with the skin tones and trying to find the right ones.

I don't know if it's just my really bad eyesight,

but I can't tell what it looks like until I see a bunch of it actually on the character.

So sometimes I try, like, five different colors before I'm happy with it.

So the last thing that I'll go over about flats

is that when you use the bucket tool, there will be tiny little spaces where the color didn't get between line art like this.

So it's very important to go through and fix all those tiny little spaces. I'm actually really bad about it (laughter)

Maybe because I can't...for some reason I can't tell if I've left a hole until I've put the shading on it and again

I guess that's just my bad eyesight.

But it's important to do that because, yeah, as soon as you put the shading on you'll be able to see those little holes.

So, I mean it's okay if you missed a hole, it's always easy to go through and fix it.

But it's kind of unprofessional to leave the holes (laughter)

Also, just about every single color that I do goes on a different layer.

Sometimes I'll combine them, like, I'm pretty sure

I combined his tunic layer with his eye color layer because they're nowhere near close to each other

and I can shade them without getting into each other.

But if I put all of the colors on the same layer, I'd be trying to shade

the skin layer and I'd be getting skin tones on the hair and having to

meticulously go through and erase all of it. And so that's just a massive headache (laughter)

So the sane thing to do is just to put everything on a separate layer.

But if you think they're far enough to get away with using one layer then definitely go for it.

Okay, so we have finally gotten to my favorite thing that I have ever learned. It is a lifesaver!

I don't, like, I have no words for how much I love this tool and it is called the "clipping tool" and

it's just this tiny little button up there at the top. And for a longest time. I had no idea what it was.

Basically all it is is that everything that I

draw on a particular layer, if it is clipped to the skintone layer, it does not go outside the skintone layer

It just stays right in there. That is the most beautiful tool I have ever come across.

And of course, it doesn't just work for skin tone. It works for hair and his clothes and like all kinds of stuff.

So other than the beautiful clipping tool (laughter) basically the process that I use is that every hue of

shading is on a different layer. So the dark shading is on one layer and the highlights are on another.

Sometimes I make the airbrush tool really big and I kind of put in some light effects

That I don't want really harsh. Those go on a completely different layer.

The reason for that is when you go to blur a particular

shading tone if I only want to blur the dark tone, but I have a highlight sitting right there next to it

I will blur them both and that's not a cool thing. So just always use multiple layers,

but you do have to keep in mind what layer you want on the top and you kind of,

you might have caught it there,

I had had the dark shading

above the high light shading and so, I was like, I kept going over it going like "what what's going on?

I've got a really light color. Why isn't it showing up?"

because

the dark layer was on top of the highlight.

Another important thing when you're shading is to keep in mind where your light source is coming from. For some weird reason

I always default it to the right-hand side. I don't know you may be different

and

depending on what I do for the background,

sometimes I've put the light source in the wrong place and that's always the most frustrating thing. So planning out is always a good thing.

The other thing I'm really glad I figured out is that that little button up at the top that says "normal",

when you click it,

it gives you all these other different options and you can go through and click on them and see what they look like.

Basically, all it's doing is it is color correcting.

I really wish I had like a bar where I could color correct.

I guess it's just a MediBang thing where they already have, like, set hues

but basically all it does is it takes that layer and it

intensifies the color or detensifies the color or, you know, whatever

option you choose.

And I really like that because, I mean, other artists have difficulty with it too. They picked the wrong color and they don't really know

how exactly to

Intensify it and that does it all for you. So it's a beautiful tool (laughter)

And I skipped ahead a little bit to the hair. Basically

what I what I do is I lay down flat colors, shading and highlight.

And I actually do want the shading and the highlight to be on the same layer for the hair

I want them to blend into each other,

So that's that's a good thing

And then on the layer closest to the flats I put

the hair strands. The reason why I do the highlighting and the shading first before I do the strands is because I'm not

gonna know what the strands look like when the shading and the highlights on top of them.

And I know that sounds like a silly thing

and it might just might be a silly thing (laughter), but it's something that I do because I want to know what the

hair strands will look like when the highlights and the shading are on top of it.

I also keep the strands all on one layer as well because, like the highlights, I want them to blend into each other.

I use a lot of different colors when I put in strands.

I do kind of a middle ground color at first, now

I'm putting in a kind of whitish yellow and then I put in a dark dark brown color

because he's supposed to have dirty blonde hair.

But it's also very shiny and it's supposed to kind of look like fire since that's his like his power (nervous laugh)

So, yeah, also, I thought I'd just mentioned real quick in case you're confused that this is one of my own characters.

I actually drew this guy in the proportions video that I released last week if you watched it. So yeah, this is Conin (more nervous laughter)

Yeah, I cut out all of the footage of me

shading his tunic, but, you know, the same rules apply

So now I am doing the eyes. This is just my way of doing eyes

I know there are probably better ways, but this is just

what I've gotten used to I will use three to four varying colors and then blur them out

just just very subtly so that it's not too stark.

One of the last things I do to give the eyes some dimension is

take the black and turn the opacity down really low and then I blur it out and erase all of the,

all of the gray stuff that isn't supposed to be there.

It gives it some 3d kind of life-likeness.

It always looks really good to me. So yeah, I like doing that (laughter)

So this is the end of the video and I've got to say, I'm honestly really shocked at how much

progress I've made in less than a year. It's really exciting and I hope I continue to make as much progress (laughter)

Hope you found something in this video helpful,

I plan to do a detailed series on meaty baying and how the different tools work or at least the ones that I use.

So, yeah, that's something to be excited about! If there's anything you're confused about because I didn't quite explain you correctly in the video (laughter),

please let me know in the comments and I will try to do my best to clear it up.

Thanks so much for watching and I will see you all in another video! Bye!!!

Should You Buy It? Western Digital My Passport Review | Cool Tech I Found Online - Duration: 3:24.

Hi, my name is Chris Skyes, and today we're going to have a look at some cool tech I found online.

Even though cloud storage is more prevalent and affordable than ever, moving large files

around on physical hard drives is still something that many people choose to do.

Plus, it's always a good idea to have a physical backup of your files, in addition

to your cloud backup, in case everything fails and you need to recover your files within

minutes.

This is where external hard drives, such as the Western Digital My Passport come in.

I purchased mine a couple of years ago, and the first thing I noticed about it is how

premium it looks.

The design is incredibly neutral, which allows it to fit in equally easy on a desk, at work,

or precariously dangling off of a gaming tower.

My one criticism about its design is that I wish it was all matte.

The shiny half of it look gorgeous, but as you can see, it can scratch

rather easily.

It comes in an array of colours and storage sizes, from 1 TB, up to 4 TB, which is more

than sufficient for the vast majority of people.

If you're going to take it on a particularly bumpy ride, I'd recommend purchasing a case

like the one I have linked down below.

It is made out of Anti-Shock polyurethane, which absorbs a lot of the shock that would

otherwise hit the hard drive directly.

When traveling with it, you can rest assured, as it is portable, and it doesn't require

a separate power cable.

The USB cable that comes with it both powers it, and transfers data.

In regards to noise, it's really quiet.

Not completely silent, and it will produce a bit of vibration, but that is unavoidable

as it is a mechanical drive.

When it comes to backing up your files, the Western Digital My Passport comes with automatic

backup software.

You just have to set up the time and frequency, and it'll backup your files

however regularly you choose to have it do so

Also, if you want to keep your files safe and secure, it comes with software which can

encrypt and password protect your files

and you can also include a 'return if found' message, if someone finds it and plugs it

into their computer.

This is really handy if you store work related documents on your Western Digital My Passport

and you don't want other people, who might find it, snooping around

Hint: If you do happen to find a hard drive, or a USB stick, never plug it in to your computer,

as that can compromise the security of your system.

Now, this hard drive is compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0.

What this mean is if your computer has a USB 3.0 port, which it will do if it's relatively

new, it will transfer files back and forth quicker.

That being said, if you have an older computer with USB 2.0, it will still work, but the

speed will be decreased. Ultimately, this gives you more options, and you can plug it into more devices

whether they're new, or old.

So, what can you store and run off of it?

The obvious things will be photos, videos, and documents.

You can also store and run games off of it.

This might be a bit tricky if you have a USB 2.0 port, depending on the game, but you should

be able to run most modern games off of it if you have USB 3.0.

You can also use it with your Play Station 4 or Xbox, but be advised that you'll have

to reformat it with the console settings.

This will erase all the files on the disk, so make sure you've backed up anything you

need off of it.

So, these have been my thoughts on the WD My Passport.

If you want to purchase it, there are links down below.

Thank you very much for watching, have a great day, and I'll see you nex time.

B-bye!

How To Upload Subtitles to Facebook // Digital Distribution - Duration: 1:26.

In this video we're gonna walk through how to add subtitles to your Facebook video.

If you're not sure how to get to this point already go ahead and watch

our video on how to upload a video natively to Facebook.

So I've already done that part and as you can see I've given the video a title and I've given

it a description. Now what we're going to do is go over here to subtitles and captions.

We're going to select a language; I've already selected English.

Then we're going to upload.

We're gonna find the SRT file, here it is, open.

Uh oh, we've run into a problem. I haven't used the correct format.

So a little quirk about Facebook is your SRT file, which is your subtitles, has to have the

same name as the video on Facebook plus this ".en_US"

It's no problem, we'll just find the SRT file,

and we'll rename it.

It already has the same title, we just have to add that ".en_US"

Perfect! So let's try again.

There you go! Our captions are uploaded and we're ready to either post, schedule , or save as a draft.

Hope this was helpful! Thank you for watching.

Importance of digital accessibility - Duration: 2:36.

[Voice-over] Are you working on web, mobile or e-learning content?

Whatever your role in the project,

you will need to consider digital accessibility.

Why?

Because digital accessibility has become a key issue

for companies that care about social responsibility.

Some internet users cannot access digital content

unless it's made accessible.

But digital accessibility has also become a legal obligation

and if content is not easily accessible,

it can already lead to significant liabilities in certain countries.

Don't see it as a constraint!

Applying accessibility rules will improve the website experience for all users,

not just those with disabilities.

For example, the possibility of changing text size

is not only crucial for people with a visual impairment,

but also for those with dyslexia, or simply visual fatigue.

In the same way, video subtitles are useful for people with hearing impairments,

but also for everyone,

when the background noise makes it difficult to hear,

or when the language used is not their mother tongue.

And if the needs of people with color blindness are considered,

your charts can be printed in black and white with no loss of information!

Besides these few examples,

remember that even if accessibility rules

were created for people with disabilities,

they are good for everyone.

Does this help you understand the need for digital accessibility?

But where do you start?

Where can you find these rules and how much will it cost?

Don't panic!

Accessibility is easier to implement than you think.

There are rules that serve as reference

and it's important to consider them right from the beginning

and at each step of a project.

These rules apply to graphics and UX Design

but also to technical aspects of the site

and editorial content.

So, it's obvious that all project team members

have a role to play…

Now, it's up to you.

Get trained. Raise awareness within your teams.

Identify the rules to be applied

and take them into account as best as you can…

And you'll see…

You will be proud to help build

a more inclusive information society.

Amazing Cornish Makers: Falmouth University Digital Print Bureau - Duration: 4:25.

My name is Freya Moses and I am the Senior Technician for printed

textiles so I cover screen printing but obviously also cover digital print as

well. We're in the digital print room and so basically this houses our two large

format digital printers and it's sort of central within fashion and textiles,

obviously we share this building with four of their courses. So this is our

shiny new Mamaki printer so we're very lucky to have this it's a year old so it

is, you know, top of the range and it's partly industrial, but also used for

educational printing, but it can print, you know, sort of 10, 12 metre lengths

at a time. It prints with reactive dyes so it's the more high-end way of

printing textiles, which is obviously what we want on textiles you know we

want to print kind of the best we can. So the dyes that we use, they only work on

natural fabrics, so we can print on cottons,

silks, wool, jerseys, you know, all those sorts of things and so we've got a huge

range of fabrics I think we've got about 25 at the moment and but we're also open

for requests as well, if there's a particular fabric somebody wants, you

know, pop-up we can negotiate, talk about it and see if it's something that we can

offer, but yeah so we've got obviously got two printers and but this is our

main one that we use just because it's the newest one and you can kind of print

quicker, the quality's amazing and so yes we're very pleased, very pleased with our

new printer. So we're really, really keen for local businesses, makers to come up

and just look at the process look at the printers, local makers are outsourcing

because most of the companies that offer this a kind of thing are up north, like

Macclesfield, London all of that and it's quite anonymous you send off your file

and then you kind of get what you're given, but you don't see the process and

I'm a designer, so when I design textiles for digital printing I'll design them in

a much different way to if I were screen printing it, because I know the process

so I think it's so important for all of the makers to know how this works

because I think it will inform their designing a lot,

we also kind of educate as well so of course they can come up watch the stuff

print, anything like that, we can obviously accommodate. I think what makes

us a bit different to bigger kind of setups is that we can print very small

samples so rather than having to have you know a minimum of 1 metre, 2 metre

printing I could do a minimum of half a metre 30 centimeters you know so we can

offer. I think printing that's more appropriate

for kind of smaller makers people that are starting out wanting to prototype

new products, our lead time as well is a lot shorter, so we're sort of working on

like a week kind of lead time so I think basically we can kind of offer an

opportunity for small businesses or local makers designers it's almost trial

stuff with us and yeah if they wanted like I mentioned before 10 meters of a

fabric that's absolutely fine but we couldn't print huge you know amounts of

fabric so if someone's wanting 50 metres, we wouldn't be able to do that with the

setup that we have, so I think we can offer and it would be for sort of you

know maybe mid level you know from small to mid level kind of designers makers.

I'm really sorry I can't be there at the amazing Cornish makers event today but

I'm really excited to be able to share with you what we can offer you with our

digital print Bureau here at Falmouth University if you've got any questions

if you would like to come up and have a look at what we do we've got a Facebook

page which is digital print bureau for Cornwall and we've also got an Instagram

page which is fowl digital print. Thank you!

Digital audit - Duration: 2:56.

Hi I'm Gemma and I'm Morag, and we're here today to tell you a little bit more

about what we at Audit Scotland have been doing about the use of technology in the

Scottish public sector. Digital is a fundamental part of our everyday lives,

and it offers the ability to really transform how public services are

delivered, to redesign services to make them more efficient and effective and to

deliver better outcomes for the citizens of Scotland. There are now some really

great examples of how digital has transformed services. At UK level you can

now renew your passport by taking your own photograph, applying online and

waiting for the text message to tell you when that passport is going to hit the

door mat. People living in remote areas of Scotland can now have an online video

conference consultation with their GP when physical access to the surgery

might be more difficult. The Scottish public sector spends at least 800

million pounds every year with digital technology companies and it's our job

at Audit Scotland to make sure that we get the best value for that money. We've been

looking at digital programmes across the public sector for a number of years now

and what we've found is that these organisations are facing the same

challenges and difficulties. That's why in 2017 we decided to bring out

our digital principles which was looking at common themes that organisations are

facing and we didn't just look at the Scottish public sector we also looked

across the world as well for examples. We came up with five key principles that

organisations should should think about when they're undertaking digital

programmes. These include the importance of planning and making sure you

understand what they're trying to do; also the importance of having the right

decision-making processes in place, and also the importance of strategic

oversight and recognising the role that the Scottish Government has to play in

this. We're planning a series of focussed audits looking at how digital

technology is used across the Scottish public sector. We're working on an audit

which will publish in summer 2019 looking at how the Scottish Government

is showing leadership in enabling digital technology across the public

sector. We last looked at what the Scottish Government was doing around

digital technology back in 2015 where we reported on the new assurance

arrangements that they were putting in place to give them better oversight and

control over digital programmes across central government, and we also reported

on how they were starting to create a pool of expertise and specialist skills

within the Scottish Government that other smaller bodies who don't have

those skills in-house could get access to, to help them with their digital

programmes. We're really interested to go back and see how effective these

programmes have been and to see what other initiatives the Scottish

Government are showing leadership on for the rest of the public sector.

Digital is a fundamental part of how organisations operate now so we will be

looking at digital through our work programme. This includes through our

local audit work and also other reports, for example our health and social care

integration report and our overview reports. We've got our digital e-hub where

you can find out more information. We'll be back in the future to share more with you then.
