I wrote a New York Times op ed recently about how you shouldn't ignore email altogether

and look it's up to you to decide with every individual email whether you want to respond

or not and how.

But I do worry that if your habit is to just ignore emails period that can actually hurt

your success.

The evidence is clear from managers that when they're slow to respond to email that makes

them less effective.

But I think it goes further.

Over 80 percent of Americans actually work in service jobs where the whole job is to

be responsive to other people's needs.

And so if you're just constantly ignoring emails from clients and colleagues you might

find pretty soon that you don't have clients or colleagues anymore.

And that might apply to friendships too.

Look I don't think that anybody should be a slave to their inbox which is why we all

need to be proactive in communicating our boundaries.

If you have a 48 hour response policy let people know if you don't answer emails on

nights or weekends just make sure you communicate that and I think that's a little bit of kindness

that goes a long way.

SingularityNET is a blockchain-based platform for artificial intelligence and it originated

really when I realized that two goals that I had could be fulfilled simultaneously by

the same software platform.

One goal being providing a tremendous variety of AI services created by a huge variety of

different developers across all areas in a way that's decentralized and democratically

controlled rather than within the proprietary silos of big tech companies; and the other

goal is to work toward powerful and beneficial artificial general intelligence.

And what I realized at a certain point is you can achieve both of these goals by making

a framework where multiple AIs written by multiple people can be put into a common platform

where they can not only serve requests from end users but they can exchange data among

each other and the different AIs in the network can ask questions of each other and help each

other solve problems.

So you have multiple AIs in the same network that, you know, they can compete with each

other for providing services, but they also cooperate and link together into networks

of cooperation.

So the whole network of AIs becomes this sort of meta-AI, a society and economy of minds,

which is in itself a kind of emergent-level mind.

So there's a commercial aspect of low cost AI services across vertical markets providing

incentive for any AI developer to contribute into the network, and there's sort of a broader

singularity-aterian motive, which is 'Hey what's the best way to create the framework

within which artificial general intelligence can crystallize and emerge?'

The role of blockchain in SingularityNET is really to enable secure decentralized control.

So without blockchain, of course we could make a distributed network of AIs that all

talk to each other and share data and outsource work to each other, but we need to have like

some central control point that kept a record of who's in the network, who's allowed to

enter into the network and what each guy in the network can offer to whom.

And then if there was going to be a change to how it operated all the changes would propagate

from the central control point.

What blockchain lets you do is have a network of AIs all cooperating and operating by a

common protocol but have no central controlling and governing agent.

Rather the records of what happens in the network are stored distributive – we have

copies of the records everywhere.

And then control is governed by democratic decision making among all the participants

so it's like a digital biological organism with no central point of control, and this

has various advantages in terms of the inter-operation of this network of AIs with the human world

and with countries and companies and people because it means there's no one person or

company or government who owns the thing or controls the thing.

And this puts the network in a quite different status relative to the world economy and human

society than if there was a single human owner who is responsible for everything.

hello everyone The Psalmist here welcome to today's episode of my hands on Quora

so before I go ahead I just like to explain what Quora is Quora like a

social media platform where people just you know give any kind of questions and

anyone who is like an accountant Quora can give an answer it could be about

business it could be about marketing internet marketing it could be even

personal stuff so me I always used to answer questions based on relationships

marriage religion and other things something things along those lines

so the kind of question that I answer today is that this is the question that

the person asked if God is a loving God then why is there so much suffering in

this world so this person knows why if God is loving and good while then is

though so much suffering so because like I've already said that I

answer you know religious questions and questions about God and stuff so this is

my answer my answer is as follows let us look at it in a way that everyone can

understand so let's look at civil laws civil laws are there to be observed and

enforced by law enforcement agencies upon failure to observe the law by a

citizen the criminal justice system will take on the process of prosecution and

judging the transgressors let's take it back to God think of the universe as a

country the civil laws as the laws that God gave what you say that if there is a

rising crime in your country the justice system is evil of course not

instead of blaming God we must look at crime corruption lawlessness oppression

all kinds of things which people worry about in the same way that God looks at

it let us look at it as sin God gave us his laws knowing the transgressing

against his laws will lead to pain and anger for ourselves how many wives are

brokenhearted over cheating husbands and vice versa

how many lives in a way and human left as orphans evil

in the world is the works of mankind who refuse what mythic God is good and he's

lost a blessing so suffering of man card is self-inflicted by people themselves

because they hate card in his laws now when I say that people when I say that

people watched it about to show me this part or that part to prove that God is

not good then if that is the case show me what you as a person makes you better

than God what is that you do in the world that would end the misery or

people and put the transgressors to justice because when one says someone is

bad that means that they have a standard that is better which is up half which if

upheld goodness will reign evil in the world is because of mankind's rebellion

against God but this only leads to more pain for follow human beings those who

say that God must do something to not realize that it is love it is still love

the godless people leave even when they rebel against him he is giving sinners

every sinner a chance to see the error of their ways and repent and believe for

when God put his judgement to the world there will be no second chance the guilt

will be sent to hell and no one will cry and say that they never had the

opportunity to Japan but people spend their precious time on things not trying

to find truth righteousness love and justice which are in Jesus Christ but

yes do you not saying that God is not doing

anything for every day people die and either fall to hell or heaven because we

do not see this we think God is not doing anything the coming judgement

would be the total overthrow of the entire world system but in the meantime

those who died I've been judged so God is working what each individual has to

do is to make it did to make it their life's goal to seek the Lord and find

salvation and teach others to do the same when the judgment comes call will

not listen to anyone who wants a last minute entry into the glory of Jesus

Christ like those who were the last minute one of the ends into the earth

but God shut them up yes it was not know who shut the door of the ark it was gone

so basically there is my answer to why there's so much evil going on in the

world and in summer I'm just saying that is because we reject garden and we

reject the law of God the teachings of Christ who reject the heart of Christ

the Spirit of God brought through Christ for answer that we could change and love

one another the suffering of one man is the sin of another person if you have

lost something through theft what the still of God says thou shalt not steal

he somebody cheated on you as a wife or as your husband

what does contain thou shalt not commit adultery you see all these things that

God has said we must do and I think that he said we must not do he was saying

them understanding that if we do them we're gonna harm one another even the

First Lord the first most important one when God said that we must love him with

all our strength our heart and soul well if you understand what the Bible teaches

in terms of what God want us to do for each other

to love one another to be current one another to be forgiving one another it

would be impossible for any human being to be loving if he does not know God or

does not love God because it is only through knowledge of God that we can

love him and when we love them we love in person who he is we love because he

is love and we love with love were most likely to love so it is only through

loving and knowing God that we can do all the things that are beneficial to

our human beings that I've you know when I'm a blessing to other human beings it

has been possible to do anything beneficial to do anything that is

pleasant human beings if we do not love God so the the first commandment of love

encourage all our hearts and strengthens us it's the ultimate commandment because

it enables you when you love God to be first to

two deceased that he wants you to do that means not to take your neighbor's

wife you see another commits adultery

remaining that marriages now are gonna be sacred and they're gonna be respected

and there won't be any heartbroken s from from from you know failed marriages

on being bitterness from failed marriages so it is because of us in

rejecting God that the world has become to whether it is but it does not mean

that God is unloving and unkind or just in a neglectful elevenses way that they

are it is bad which must even make us you know rejoice and worship in God why

because if God is leading people to evil it means he's giving them the same

opportunity that he has given us to repent but he is told that there will be

one time where he's just gonna say enough and we know that people are dying

those people who died I've been judged so don't thing that God is not doing

anything God is doing work God is winning you know people to himself but

the preaching of men of God the Word of God by the spirit that he puts in

people's hearts who believe so God is doing work the world of course will

continue to be evil what we see now is nothing what is coming it's gonna be

even worse but even then God will still be in control God was to be taking our

human God will bestow taking out those who believe in him Carlos he be taking

out those who stick food and want to find peace in him so that is my answer
