I call it Geumjae's taste of the hand.

My brother's a really good cook.

He used to work at restaurants.

In Cheongdam-dong.

So he cooks French food.

Japanese food. He can make anything.

He cooks for me a lot.

I want to eat my brother's food.

It's been a while since I last saw him.

"Your own older brother"? Yes, my own older brother.

I have a brother who looks nothing like me.

We're like friends.

When we go out, everyone thinks we're friends. Like at banks.

We have 4 million viewers now.

It's been 30 minutes.

"Is your brother good-looking"? Yes, he is.

He's good-looking. He looks different from me. He has double eyelids.

Yes, everyone.

I watch "Run BTS!".

I haven't seen "Kingdom".

"Is the album going to be historic"? Yes, it's going to be historic.

I'm now going to... What?

Who is it?

It's not over. He thought it was.

Anyway.

Please wait for me until my next V LIVE.

I'm going to wash up and get some sleep for tomorrow's concert.

Bye.

Welcome.

What is this?

OMG. Hello.

Nice to meet you all.

Come out.

The number of viewers is increasing very fast.

50,000 viewers already.

100,000 viewers now.

So fast.

You can see the chat window.

200,000 viewers now. Hello, everyone.

I'm in Fukuoka now.

I've just finished a concert.

I still have hair and makeup on.

I've come for V LIVE.

This is what I was wearing for ending.

"It is lagging."

I'm not to blame.

Comments are coming up so fast.

How can I read them all?

It's a little bit cold in Fukuoka.

Just like Korea,

it's also cold here.

"How was the concert?" It was great.

I couldn't sleep after I've come back

from the Grammy.

I'm not in a good condition.

I lose my tension when I fly for a long time on a plane.

It is still affecting me.

I woke up at early morning today.

I couldn't sleep after I woke up.

I stayed awake before going for the concert.

But thankfully, the concert was not bad.

Lights...

"Have you had a meal yet?" No, not yet.

I had a meal before the concert and

I had some snacks after the concert. So I'm not hungry now.

"Cold." I've fully recovered from a cold.

I've fully recovered.

Cold...

"You look exhausted."

I might look exhausted because of my blonde hair.

Comments are coming up really fast.

I can't follow the pace.

"I'm watching V LIVE now with my father while eating strawberries."

Sounds great.

It's the right season for strawberries now.

"I like the song "SEESAW"" Thank you.

"Please turn on the music."

Playing music here violates copyright, isn't it?

1 million viewers now.

"This is not a dream, right?" Certainly, this is not a dream.

I have fruits here but not a meal.

I requested not to provide rice for me because I'm full now.

I have fruits here.

"What's the best item you've bought most recently?"

What did I buy recently?

I don't go shopping that often.

What did I buy recently?

What did I?

I don't remember.

Someone talked about the story behind "Song Request."

Behind.

I used it during the WINGS TOUR.

But it just came out.

I think I used it during the WINGS TOUR. I guess I used it in Chicago.

I used it in Korea because it didn't come out.

Because it didn't come out.

It's similar to...

"Her."

It's somewhat similar in terms of structure.

I thought I wouldn't come out.

I waited so long for it.

The original title was "Radio" if I'm not mistaken.

I think it was "Radio."

I thought it wouldn't come out.

That's why I recorded it again.

I didn't like the version that I had recorded before.

I think I finished recording it within 4 tapes.

It's not a

difficult song.

It's not a skillful song.

It's a simple song.

"I'm having a hard time due to the recent class arrangement."

Is it random?

It's been so long since I last went to school.

"Have you read the webtoon?" I don't read webtoons.

I don't.

I don't read webtoons.

I don't play games either, because I'm not good at games.

Nothing special.

I don't do anything special when I rest.

"How was the Grammy?" It was so much fun.

The atmosphere at the site was amazing.

As a performer,

I loved the performance.

The Grammy...

I'm a person who makes and does music for a living.

For those who watch the Grammy every year but

don't really like it, I have something to say.

I personally loved to be at the site. I really enjoyed it.

I'm sure that it's one of the members. I won't open the door.

It must be TAE HYUNG.

Are you TAE HYUNG?

Why?

I had to open the door forcibly.

I came to deliver this to you.

- V LIVE... - Have you changed it already?

I have to come because you are doing V LIVE now.

- Hello. - Is this what I ordered?

Oh, it is.

I'm wearing these pajamas that I brought from the dormitory.

- What are you doing now? - I was just talking about the Grammy.

Am I an uninvited guest?

I'll go now.

Bye.

Bye, everyone.

I was talking about the Grammy.

- MIN SUGA, fighting! - I was talking about the Grammy.

Someone asked me a while ago, "What did you buy recently?" I bought underwear.

Underwear.

I had to buy new because I forgot to bring mine.

Show my underwear?

I wear

cheap ones.

"How's Holly doing?" Holly...

It's been a while since I last saw Holly.

My brother is

taking good care of Holly now.

Actually, my brother brought

Holly, not me.

He gets along with Holly.

He takes many pictures with Holly.

I miss Holly.

Holly...

I miss Holly.

"Are you watching SKY CASTLE?" Yes.

I've watched from 1st to 19th episodes.

I didn't watch the 20th episode on purpose.

"Collaboration with LEE SORA."

Until now, I have never

met someone in person for a collaboration work.

I've never seen LEE SORA in person.

We work individually.

It's really fast.

"Movie." I haven't watched the concert movie yet.

The last movie that I watched is Veteran.

I watched it alone.

I don't like to watch movies in a cinema.

"How's it going with the new album? I'm excited."

You should look forward to it. Every single song in the new album is good.

I worked on the new album even during the New Year holidays.

"I hate to be in the 12th grade." I hate it too.

But I didn't study when I was in the 12th grade.

So to be honest, I didn't hate it.

"Rest if you are tired." I'm not tired now.

It's only 10 now.

"There are many things that I should watch since I fell in love with BTS just recently."

We've done many things so far.

"Do you wear earings when you sleep?" Yes, I do.

I always sleep with earrings.

I wear earrings when I sleep because

it's troublesome to wear them again in the morning.

"I'm entering middle school soon." If you enter middle school,

that means you are turning 14 this year.

If you are 14,

then you were born in 2005, right?

2005 or 2004?

Then you are 12 years younger than me.

You were born in 2006?

I can't imagine it.

Oh, right. Turning 14 means you were born in 2006.

Then you wouldn't know what floppy disk is, right?

You wouldn't know.

And probably CD, too. Oh, you would know what CD is because

there are CD alblums.

But you wouldn't know what cassette tape is.

What should I do with it?

It's amazing.

I saw some random pictures recently.

Nostalgic pictures.

You wouldn't know what hermit crab is, right?

There are no chick sellers in front of primary schools anymore, right?

People used to

sell chicks in front of primary schools before.

Hermit crab.

Trampoline.

We used to call it "Bong Bong" in Daegu.

In some places, it's called "Bang Bang."

"I'm majoring in musical instruments." Fighting.

It's difficult.

"I'm in middle school now. When you were in middle school..."

I couldn't read your comment. Oh, what did I do when I was in middle school?

Hmm, I don't remember it.

It took about 15 minutes

from my house to the middle school.

I used to walk.

We used to carry a shoe pouch.

We used to carry a shoe pouch.

We also used to carry spoon and chopsticks bag.

Shoe pouch...

Some students used to carry shoes in their hands instead of a pouch.

I think they were shy to carry a pouch.

I'm not sure.

And wearing hoodies

inside a jacket was popular.

Talking about the past...

Middle school...

High school was just in front of my house.

I didn't study hard in high school.

I only studied hard for subjects that I liked.

I only read

books.

Books.

High school was on a mountain.

The word mountain was included in the full address of my high school.

It was difficult to go to school.

I lived in

Daegu.

It was like a new city.

Umm...

What can I say?

I lived in Chilgok.

It wasn't convenient to get around.

In junior high, I had to walk a while after taking a bus.

I walked to school because I had to walk anyway.

"Were you a good student"?

I was fairly good up until junior high.

I studied for the subjects I liked.

Modern history, social studies.

I was on the liberal arts track in high school, and I was poor at math.

Math was not my thing at all.

Social studies, modern history. I really liked modern history.

Modern history is interesting. I know many people don't like it.

Economics. But high schools don't offer economics.

I really liked geography, too.

I wish high school seniors luck.

Good luck. The college entrance exam for seniors.

Of course, it's a huge and important test.

But you don't have to ace it.

And your major in college.

Don't necessarily think your major will become your job.

Those who are entering high school this year.

Were they born in 2000?

So much younger than me.

"Would majoring in architecture be difficult"? I'm not sure because I haven't done it.

Personally, I like architecture, interior design, and indoor space planning.

If I hadn't done music, I would have gone that path.

There's one thing for sure.

That architecture is not an easy field to work in.

"I'm going to be a sixth grader and I want to do well".

There's nothing to do well.

A sixth grader doesn't have to worry about that.

Just eat well, and play well.

For sixth graders.

What would sixth graders have to do to do well?

Be good to your parents.

"I love "724148"". "724148".

I started wondering recently.

When I was doing "724148".

I used to take the 724 bus in Daegu.

My studio was in Banwoldang, Namsan-dong.

I lived near the last stop of the 724 bus.

I was reminded of the time I used to walk because I couldn't afford a bus ride.

I calculated the distance.

It was about 11 km.

I walked for about 3 hours.

Not everyday.

I had to make a choice.

So that's how it was.

That's about from Sinsa Station to Yeouido.

I thought Daegu was a huge city. But it's smaller than I thought.

I still remember crossing the Paldal bridge.

When you go straight, there's a baseball stadium, which is not there any more.

Take a right from the baseball stadium.

When you see the Paldal market, turn left.

Anyway.

"Spain.." I really want to visit Spain.

The city of Gaudi.

I want to visit Barcelona.

"Have you worked part-time"? I've worked part-time a lot.

I've done it a lot.

I've worked a lot.

Student monitors are still around?

Student monitors?

How would students monitor other students?

I was a student monitor in school, but I still didn't understand the concept.

How could students monitor other students?

Student monitors are still around, I see.

They still monitor school uniforms?

First, I don't understand why students have to wear the uniform.

My average sleep hours vary.

Sometimes I sleep a lot. Sometimes I get no sleep at all.

"Why'd you play basketball"? I played basketball because I wasn't good at soccer.

I liked it so much that I played for long.

It's been a while since I played basketball, though.

"I want to be a teenager again". I want to be a teenager, too.

"Speak your dialect, please". When I'm with my family.

I speak the dialect without thinking.

But it's hard otherwise.

"Did you spend the Lunar New Year in Daegu"? No, I was in Seoul.

Except for spending a couple days in Daegu last summer.

I haven't been lately.

I can rarely make it to Daegu.

"I'll treat you to 100 lamb skewers". I'll treat you to 10,000.

"Who's your favorite in "Slam Dunk""?

My favorite character? Mine is Jung Dae-man.

"What kind of shampoo do you use"? I use any I can get my hands on.

I don't have a preference.

"What'll it be like when you turn 30"? I'll be 30.

I don't obsess over age.

I was asked how the Grammy's was. It was great and fun.

I kept thinking it'd be great to perform there.

"Songs you listen to often"?

Songs I listen to often?

I listen to pop a lot. I don't listen to much hip-hop these days.

I listen to pop.

There aren't any specific songs.

I listen to the songs on the chart, too.

I listen to the music I like.

I'm getting a call.

My parents called.

I must be a bad son.

"Where'd you get the hair band from"?

Supreme. I bought it myself.

After the live.

I'll talk to my father.

You were born in 2003 and will be entering grade school?

When it hits 4 million. I'm going to wash myself.

"What are your hobbies"? I don't have a hobby.

I don't play games. I don't do much.

I just play Starcraft.

With my managers. Starcraft.

Starcraft.

I'm not good at games.

So I always lose.

"What do you want to eat when you go back to Korea"?

I personally really like the food that my older brother makes.

Bye.

静岡観光 グルメ・アクティビティ編 Part-2 Japan in Motion S15#12 "Shizuoka" - Duration: 10:59.

The three of "Rosario+Cross" have accomplished climbing of Mt. Fuji as their long-cherished desire

and enjoyed Mt. Fuji gourmet foods

Next, let's introduce their activities at the foot of Mt. Fuji

We came to Lake Tanuki

The air is so refreshing here ! -Yes, it is !

We are going to find the place of a super view of Mt. Fuji while enjoying cycling

Let's go !

The two enjoy cycling around the Lake Tanuki

Do you know you can see a super view of "Diamond Fuji" here ?

You mean the sun coming out of the summit of Mt. Fuji

Want to see it. When can we see it ?

You can enjoy camping and cycling here at Lake Tanuki, while gazing at beautiful scenery of Mt. Fuji

Around April and August,

you can enjoy "Diamond Fuji", in which the sun coincides with the summit of Mt. Fuji

I'd like to make camp here. -So do I

There are many people here

They were passing by Lake Tanuki in autumn, and heading for the Lake Motosu in Yamanashi prefecture

Here we are ! Beautiful !

It's really nice weather, isn't it ?

Nice feeling ! Why not go slightly further ? Yes, let's !

Let's go !

They came to Lake Motosu in Yamanashi prefecture

From here also, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mt. Fuji

At the foot of Mt. Fuji,

this is the first time to go cycling for me. In addition, it's really sunny weather, today

It's superb !

Great ! We enjoy cycling while looking at Mt. Fuji

Nice !

Nice breeze !

Beautiful !

Here is the best place to see Mt. Fuji while enjoying cycling

Furthermore,

Look ! It's extremely beautiful !

It's shining, isn't it ?

The lake is shining and glittering, and it's so beautiful

The beauty of the lake is beyond description,

It was worth biking here

The view of Mt. Fuji from the northwestern coast of Lake Motosu is superb !

They took a short break to visit "Minshuku-Cum- Restaurant" (a private house providing bed and meals)

"Kouan"

It was a fun !

Why is Imari here ?

Why ! Oh look at that!

Looks tasty !

How was your cycling trip ?

It was a lot of fun !

We went cycling close to various lakes at the foot of Mt. Fuji

There was a very nice breeze

It was totally different to ride a bicycle in our neighborhood

Anyway, it was very nice

The picture of Mt. Fuji which is usually and frequently seen is placed here

Excuse me !

Hello !

Hello !

Nice to meet you

I've heard we can see here, something superb-view that almost all people know

This is an original picture used for the design of the old 5,000 yen note

This is the picture of Mt. Fuji for the design of an old 5,000 yen note. Is it true ?

We can see the scenery here?

Exactly ! You are seeing the same scenery as that of 5,000 note in front of you

This picture, "Kohan-no-Haru" (Spring in lakeside area) modeled for the 5,000 yen note

was taken by Kouyou Okada, an authority of Mt. Fuji photographer 80 years ago

You may look at the inverted image of such a beautiful Mt. Fuji from here

This scenery

We'd better wait to see the scenery

Can we see it today?

Yes, although it's so nice to see the scenery from here

The lakeside area of Lake Motosu is a camping site

Many people enjoy camping as well as taking pictures

They head for the place

It's superb ! It's the best !

It's the best !

It's really pretty !

Mt. Fuji is exactly in the center of the scenery. It's very impressive !

We can only see this scenery here

We took a look at the original picture used for 5,000 yen note

Let's compare that picture on the note with a real scenery of Mt. Fuji ?

Did you bring it ? Yes, I did

Exactly equivalent

Great !

Exactly the same !

There is the mountain,

Yes, Mt. Fuji

This scenery is used for Japanese paper currency

It's very impressive

Great !

Together with the superb view of Mt. Fuji, they take photos

Are you ready ? Hi, cheese !

Ah, superb !

Isn't it good ?

How about this one ? Isn't it good ? It's superb, isn't it ?

Why not enjoy camping here and take picture with this superb view ?

Next

Hello ! Hello !

Nice to meet you

I've heard we can explore a sea of trees

Could you kindly guide us in the sea of trees ?

Yes, of course ! We greatly appreciate your cooperation !

Aokigahara-Jukai (sea of trees) spreads at the foot of Mt. Fuji, World Cultural Heritage

Let's go !

The Aokigahara-Jukai was the forest being grown on

torrents of lava from Mt. Fuji, therefore

the forest was formed on lava and not soil

The trees in this forest can't suck up water well by themselves,

so that the trees grow by the water shared with moss

This is one of the reasons why there are a large amount of moss here

Going further in

you can experience exploring a lava tube which is rare in the world

This way

Marvelous !

We are entering the lava tube which looks like open mouth

This is the first time for us to see the entrance of a lava tube

So did we !

Shall we come in ? Positively !

A pleasure !

The 3 is excited for their first experience in exploring a lava cave

The Fuji Fuketsu (air hole), designated as a state's natural monument

is a world leading place being abundant in lava caves

Please follow me in a single file

I've got it !

Let's go !

So do I !

The three are entering the cave,

and there....

So dark

They are exploring the cave in deep darkness with only a headlight

Inside of the cave is generally like this

The inside of the cave is spacious having a high ceiling, although the entrance is narrow

The inside path is soft and easy to walk on

It's a strange feeling to be here

Because of a narrow entrance, we feel as if we were locked in the cave

Water is dripping off from the ceiling as if the rain was coming down since earlier

Perhaps, you feel weary of dripping rain drop

However, the rain fallen on the sea of trees is absorbed, at first by the lava layer

and then, the rain water gradually passes through the thickly deposited lava layers, and reach its bottom layer,

finally falling down from its bottom layer, in other word, the ceiling of the lava cave

Oh I see

They advance further toward the end of the cave,

a certain world spreads out

From now on, please watch your step because the ground is hard frozen

Oh Yes, it's true. Ice? Very slippery !

Oh, it's frozen !

The ground of the cave is all made of ice

Right under here is made of ice !

We can slightly see-through something !

Yes, it's true. How thick do you think is the ice layer ?

One to two meters

That's quite thick

Actually from 12 to 15 meters

Oh my

Under us, there is a sizable amount of ice

Figuratively, we are now standing on the roof top of a 4 to 5 stories building

Under your foot, ice has piled up in layers up to about 5 stories building high

Amazing !

Cold ! Yes, ice is very cold !

The mysterious lava caves which were made by Mt. Fuji for a long period of time

I feel like I want to say "Tadaima (I'm back)" for some reason

I have explored the lava cave for the first time

How was exploring a lava cave ?

This is my first experience of lava cave trip, but it's colder than I thought, and I was very surprised

When I touched rocks in the cave, I was surprised at its coldness, and I realized how cold this place is

All the caves spreading out at the foot of Mt. Fuji are always quite cold all year round

You can enter these caves all year round,

Whenever you have the opportunity and/or together with other persons, come visit again

We'd like to visit again !

Everyone, please come and experience lava cave exploring!

Bye.

#50, A trip to Japan with my mom. Ibusuki Ryokan - Duration: 13:16.

I came to Japan with my mom.

After 1 night in Kagoshima, we go down south to Ibusuki.

Buy two lunch boxes at Kagoshima Central Station, and take the train.

About an hour by express.

Mom and I reserved window seats.

As soon as the train depart, we open our lunch boxes.

This is our brunch.

The beginning of an exciting day

After finishing the meal, we arrived at ibusuki.

It's raining. OMG..

We took a taxi from the station.

And check-in at the ryokan

A torrent of rain

Today, we decided to take a rest while enjoying a hot spring at inside.

Put down our luggage, and relax with warm green tea.

The incessant sound of waves in our ears

A pleasant tea time with my mom seeing the rainy sea.

Soon after, the rain died down...

and we saw a huge rainbow.

Unfortunately, it was impossible to capture it with a camera.

Now, let's go for a hot spring.

A hot spring bath on the second floor of Ryokan.

No one was there, so we enjoyed the place.

We go out to dinner with a refreshing body.

Sunset.

A Izakaya, close to Ryokan.

We're the first guests.

Well, each of us has a glass of draught beer.

We're waiting for our food.

Ta-da- The food we ordered came out.

And back to Ryokan again. I had a job to do, so I edited the video.

The second day of the trip is over.

The next morning, we came down to the 2nd floor for breakfast.

Tofu heated by hot spring water

Enjoy!

I'm so full..

We'll take a walk by the sea for a while.

Unlike yesterday, the sea is so calm.

We are going to rent a car and drive today.

I go to the rental shop with my mom.

Quiet scenery of a small town.

I rent a small car.

Let's go.

I drive with an international license.

Actually, we already know this place because we was here last year.

But I don't get tired of this.

The temperature is much higher than Korea, but here is too much wind...

I took some pictures with my mom.

I stopped by the convenience store .

It's too good to be sold only at convenience stores.

Now it's time to return the car.

The shadows began to lengthen.

On the way to the restaurant near Ibusuki Station

Whenever I come to Japan, I drink a few draught beer every day.

Soon the food we ordered came out.

After drank 2glasses of beer, we took a taxi again at the station.

The sea at sunset in front of Ryokan.

The next morning.

A pleasant breakfast is back

But today, we have to leave...

It's hard to leave because the weather is so nice..

We got to the station and bought tickets back to Kagoshima.

I dozed off for about half an hour, watching the sea out of the window.

And we came to a restaurant in Kagoshima Station to eat black pork cutlet.

Then back to the airport again.

While waiting for the plane, the light coming into the airport was very pretty.

Although it was a short schedule of 3 nights and 4 days, I'm can take a short rest in my busy life.

[ENG SUB] BTS Suga & RM - Live in Japan - Duration: 32:26.

Can you understand these English accents? (Japan, Germany, Spain) - Duration: 1:00.

The Moon Jae-in administration has doubled down on its efforts to curb rising home prices

in South Korea.

Literally, there's an idea of status linked to these apartment condominiums.

It's like buying a luxury item, if you buy a certain brand of apartment, it's a status

symbol, to an extent.

Let's talk about an issue that we haven't discussed in detail so far: tax.

Do you think heavier taxes for those who own large, expensive, or multiple, houses is fair?

I think it makes sense.

But the effectiveness might be limited.

Because instead of taxation burden, I don't think that people will sell their properties.

Putting your money in the bank, there's no charm it that anymore.

So you need to invest somehow, your money.

If you don't want to lose money over time, just leaving it in the bank account, eventually

it'll actually

Decrease in value.

Yeah, decrease in value.

So I think, in general, also, German people are shifting from renting to owning.

10 Things Found Only in Japan - Duration: 14:00.

time flows a little bit differently in every country of the world some

countries are trying to escape the past many are just trying to keep up with the

fast-moving 21st century but Japan has long been on the cusp of the future

leading us into tomorrow combining centuries-old traditions with phenomenal

futuristic technologies Japan is rightly considered one of the most unique places

on the planet we are now going to investigate and learn something about a

few of the weirdest and wildest things that can exist only in the Land of the

Rising Sun since 2007 foreigner staying in Japan have been able to observe a

very strange sight locals walking down the street with huge doughnut shaped

bumps on their foreheads and this isn't a result of some unsuccessful plastic

surgery the answer to this bizarre mystery is something much simpler this

is by choice an unusual fashion statement a half a liter of saline is

pumped under the scalps of these adventurous Souls through a subdural

drip whereupon the resulting bump is pressed down with a finger molding it

into a specific shape the result of this odd body modification called the bagel

head is quite short-lived after just a day the fluid leaves the body and the

person's appearance returns to normal but that is more than enough time to

arrange a photo session record a viral video or simply to impress one's friends

to tell the truth such a bizarre decoration causes more of a shock rather

than admiration but the Japanese really love it it's also important to note

their stoic determination as the painful procedure takes up to two hours to

complete the bagel head is extremely popular among fans of body modification

but people outside of this unique subculture might not have heard of this

curious phenomenon on the other hand this next item you may have heard of it

has become a symbol of the epitome of Japanese technological

oddities yes we're talking about hi-tech toilets while still keeping it's

universally recognizable shape the Japanese have greatly expanded upon the

functionality of the toilet if you are somehow unaware of this amazing

technological extravagance let me tell you that with one of these babies you

can enjoy an automatically lifting lid a heated seat adjustable temperature

adjustable water pressure and much much more just press one of the many buttons

or for more modern toilets simply wave your hand to be fair the first

prototypes of these lavatories of the future originated in the US and

Switzerland where they were installed in hospitals then in the mid 1960s they

began to be produced by Japanese manufacturers in the 1980s with the

amazing surge and their already strong economic growth such devices became the

norm even for home use in Japan electronic toilets blend perfectly with

Japan's extraordinary focus on cleanliness so they are bought despite

their extremely high price tag in general the Japanese pay an enormous

amount of attention to the topic of comfort in the toilet and sometimes this

attention goes beyond all previous boundaries and into the realm of the

absurd this is one of the strangest and most ridiculous museums in the world the

full name of which is toilet human waste and Earth's future and it's dedicated to

faeces that's right poop here you will learn everything there is to know about

the byproducts of the daily activities of both humans and animals here you can

see such unique displays as a chorus of singing toilets you can even make your

own example of a poop molded out of clay thankfully well at least you can walk

through these exhibits without the need for an interpreter the fee

is universal Japanese kids especially love this one-of-a-kind Museum which

isn't all that surprising there's a giant toilet slide a number of rides and

amusing souvenirs which altogether create an incredibly enjoyable

atmosphere however one notes that everything here is truly informative and

very well thought out the purpose of the Museum of excrement is to show how the

human body works and it does that quite well but let's hope the future Japanese

Museum of Human Reproduction falls back on more standard methods of

exhibition and presentation however don't mistake the Japanese high interest

in human waste the Japanese are world famous for their extraordinary sense of

cleanliness summer in Japan is always hot and humid but the problem of sweat

stains in the armpits for some residents simply doesn't exist

resourceful inventors from a company called thank ou have created a special

electric fan that prevents the stains from ever appearing in the first place

this fantastic device is made in the form of a compact clip which is mounted

on one's shirt sleeves buttons or even on a belt working with the help of two

batteries the fan is able to provide cooling for up to six hours in the max

power mode but the creators remain silent as to how ridiculous a person

actually looks wearing such a device there's another device from the Land of

the Rising Sun that is quite amusing to others most global electronics makers

are getting rid of the buttons on their gadgets transferring the control

functions to the headphones or to voice control but a new Japanese controlled

technology ingeniously uses facial expressions to control devices the Mimi

switch device resembles ordinary headphones but they are actually much

more complex each function can be set manually for

example for a music player winking switches to the next song and sticking

your tongue out pause the track the device is only in the

development stages though and the creators are aiming to use it to control

a variety of household devices such as TVs and washing machines in order to

make life easier for people with disabilities the music player is just a

first attempt at this so if you see a person walking down the street in Tokyo

whose facial expressions are changing spasmodically every second do not rush

to call for help perhaps they're just searching for their

favorite song but to tell the truth people are not the most remarkable thing

on Japanese streets much more often there are the ubiquitous numerous and

varied vending machines if you are used to seeing vending machines selling just

coffee or candy bars then Japanese vending machines will shock you in the

Land of the Rising Sun they sell just about everything and anything vending

machines are very much loved in Japan there's one vending machine for every 50

people the highest number of per capita in the world and where you might think

it's only customary to install such equipment inside of buildings the

Japanese line them up all along the streets everywhere you can even see

vending machines lining the streets in tiny remote villages machines which are

used by all of the residents of these little Hamlet's about 50% of the

machines sell drinks while the other half offerings just boggles the

imagination if necessary you can buy tais eggs ice toilet paper books pet

food there are even special cafes that consist entirely of vending machines go

around to each one of them and you'll have yourself a complete multi-course

dinner you might think that this is over complicating things but after using the

machines a couple of times you begin to appreciate the speed and convenience of

these mechanical purchases there remains only the need to find the proper product

if you can't understand or prefer not to use the vending machines just go to the

nearest supermarket as everything there is also just a little bit different from

you find in the rest of the world in terms of food

the Japanese have no equal and we're not even talking about cookies made with

bees or soup from dried lizards or even packaged breast milk let's just take

ordinary ice-cream as an example here you can find the beloved frozen desert

in some buil during various such as horse meat ice cream curry ice cream

moisturizer or even with the taste of beer that's really quite refreshing

isn't it on the other hand those with a sweet tooth will have to shop carefully

among the offerings KitKat bars in flavors such as baked potato soy sauce

and wasabi it's kind of strange to think that sushi was once invented in this

very same country speaking of sushi of course in Japan there are traditional

cafes and restaurants with the same cozy atmosphere you might find anywhere in

the world but the locals prefer more exotic locations these include the robot

restaurant located in the heart of Kabukicho the entertainment district of

the capital Tokyo despite the tempting title it is a show

club and people come there not to eat but to watch the incredible performance

the program is almost the whole of Japanese pop culture in a concentrated

condensed form dancing girls drumming funny music and of course

transformer battles every evening the restaurant puts on three performances

each show lasts about one and a half hours and consists of four completely

different acts each month is devoted to a specific theme so regulars come on the

first days of every month the entrance fee is not cheap but what's most

interesting is that there are no reservations here it's first-come

first-served so come in advance if you want to get a comfortable seat or any

seat at all for that matter a restaurant like this is a perfect spot for lovers

of fun but for uninitiated guests it might be just a tad creepy it should be

noted however that of course not everything in Japan is so wonderful

rose-colored and worthy some things in Japan can cause genuine horror and

goosebumps to break out all over your skin such sensations can overtake a

normal traveller at the foot of the world-famous Mount Fuji specifically in

the forest of OGG Hara in Japanese mythology this place is associated with

evil spirits here the trees grow very close to each other creating a deafening

silence and iron ore deposits under the ground drive all compasses crazy but

really overall this is a nice place to take a break from the hustle and bustle

of normal Japanese life and to try and enjoy some moments of peace and to

commit suicide yes Aokigahara is better known as the suicide forest up to 100

people come here to off themselves every year local authorities do their utmost

to try to prevent such tragedies but their successes are few Japanese have

what we might think of as being a very peculiar way of regarding life and death

a very non-western view this different understanding being something which

originated many centuries ago so anyway if you want to enjoy some silence but

can't get out into nature go sing some Cod okay no this isn't a joke in this

small country with a population of 126 million people personal space isn't

readily available so of course a noiseless USB car okay Mike recently

appeared on the market this device is for quiet singing so that Japan's

favorite hobby doesn't irritate neighbors and friends this unusual

device is an inverted megaphone with headphones and it absorbs up to one

third of the volume of a person singing voice

now no one will be offended by your interpretation of classic hits just

insert the headphones into your smartphone launch the application select

a song and sing and truly having such a device really wouldn't be such a bad

idea for some famous performers I can think of of course not all of these

strange artifacts are going to spread in popularity all over the planet but we

still have a lot to learn from the amazing Japanese they have numerous

distinctive and astonishing inventions inventions one might even think we're

imported to Earth by aliens if you want to learn more about such devices stay

tuned for future episodes and of course if you like this video subscribe to our

Channel and give it a big thumbs up press the Bell button and be the first

one to know about our new videos and stay tuned as the most interesting stuff

you can possibly imagine episodes that are sure to knock your underpants off

are still to come this is Riddle saying until next time

dear friends

Goto - kristittyjen piilopaikka Japanissa - Duration: 9:43.

Goto, Japan

I'm now here at Goto Islands

The Goto Islands are located about 100 kilometers west of Nagasaki city

But they're still part of Nagasaki prefecture

This is probably the coldest time of the year now that I'm here

It's very very cold and it's super windy

But that's alright, at least I can do sightseeing here just by myself

I arrived to the largest of the Goto Islands, Fukue, by a ferry from Nagasaki yesterday

There are two options: the slower car ferry or a hydro jet foil that goes super fast

The car ferry takes about four hours to get here and the jet foil takes about two hours

The car ferry is about 2500 JPY which is roughly 20 euros and the jet foil is 5500 JPY which is closer to 50 euros

Well, the cheapo I am, I chose the cheaper option

It was quite a nice experience; it was all carpeted floor indoors

You could hang out or even sleep since there were blankets and pillows available

There was also a working Wi-Fi available

There were also some power outlets so I could do some work on my computer on the way here

A very positive experience - I will take the same ferry back and also save a bit money by doing so

So yeah, yesterday I arrived to Fukue and it was raining so hard I didn't really do anything that evening

But now I just arrived to this smaller island called Hisaka

Hisaka is located about 20 minutes ferry ride away from Fukue

Well, there were only two locals there on the ferry besides me

There are three ferries a day

So it's pretty quiet here

It is recommended that you'd reserve a taxi or a rental car in advance when you come here

Well, I don't have either - I have a bike!

A small bike I rented from the guest house I'm staying at

You could take the bike with you on the ferry

The normal price for the ferry ride is 780 JPY but I paid 1200 JPY because I had the bike

So that's about 10 euros

And now I'm here

These islands are famous of a place where the Christians went hiding when Christianity was banned in Japan

So the Portuguese had brought Christianity to Japan

And it started to spread all over Japan from Nagasaki

But in Edo period the Christianity was banned in Japan

So those Japanese who had become Christians came to these islands to hide away

And they continued practicing Christianity here secretly

And that's why there are many churches here on these islands

This whole island of Hisaka is an UNESCO World Heritage Site

There are currently 300 people living on this island

There are really nothing here, no stores and such

Except for the churches and amazing natural beauty

So now I'll get to know this place

I have around four hours before the ferry leaves back to Fukue

I should get to the other side of the island but the road looks pretty steep

So let's see how far we'll get

But I already found the first church here - this one's located near the harbor

I couldn't get in since there are no-one here

But at least I got to see it from the outside

So I had to walk my bike

These hills are not for this small bike

I really hope that that one over there is not one of those fake summits

Really hope that I get to bike down after that

Yeah! Let's go!

It's gorgeous here

So quiet

I can only hear the birds

Just a small breeze, not as windy as there by the sea

Oh man, so nice!

Now it's so windy here on the other side that I have to walk my bike even on a flat surface!

Because Christianity was banned in Japan, it was practiced here secretly

The locals did some trading with the Buddhists but didn't reveal their true faith to anyone

In the end it was found out that there's a large Christian society living here

And 200 local Christians were put in a small prison cell where they were tortured for eight months

42 of the Christians died during this event

This led to freedom of religion in Japan in the early Meiji period in 1873

This memorial church was erected here to commemorate these 42 martyrs

If you're planning on coming to this island remember to take a lunch with you since there are no stores or restaurants here

There is, however, a tourist information center, where you can book a lunch but you need to book it three days in advance

And I can't even locate the place, it is marked on the map but I just can't find it

But I did find toilets, a bench and a shelter from the wind

So let's have a lunch break here

You know you're at countryside when random people just come and chat with you

"Oh it's a nice day! Are you sunbathing there? Look, the Japanese apricot is blooming! Hey, have a nice day!"

Love it!

Hisaka is also known of its camellia trees

Camellia oil is used a lot in Japanese cosmetics

There are these camellia forests here

Gorgeous camellia trees and lovely red flowers

Now's the next day here in Fukue

So here on the largest island

I'm here at the guest house, I'm staying at this dorm room

I've just had a good night sleep

I got to know this Japanese woman of my age here

Who's going to drive around this island today

I don't have a Japanese or international drivers licence

So when I got here I was a bit sad of not being able to drive since you really need a car here

But now I got very lucky

And we're now going for a drive together

The day should be beautiful so... This is how it was!

I still have a lot to explore on the Goto Islands - it's definitely a place I'd like to go back in the summer

I hope Antti will be my driver

But during winter it's still gorgeous and very interesting place to visit

When I came back to Nagasaki the sea was pretty rough

The boat was swinging in every direction and I felt so sick

I felt a bit better as I laid down so it was very good they had the pillows and blankets available there

So if you get sea sick very easily and the weather is not so good it's better to consider how you get yourself there
