Hi everyone, my name's Aaron, and welcome to A/C Gaming.
Playing Assassin's Creed Origins is nothing short of an amazing experience.
That being said, I have been putting multiple hours into this game.
But recently, Sucker Punch Productions revealed Ghost of Tsushima at Paris Games Week.
And this game has grabbed my attention.
To my surprise, Ghost of Tsushima and Assassin's Creed Origins share many characteristics.
Here are just a few of them:
Number 5
Both Assassin's Creed Origins and Ghost of Tsushima are of the
historic fantasy genre.
There is a common thread of historic truth woven throughout each of these games
with some fantasized lore mixed in.
The time periods and locations of AC Origins and Tsushima differ greatly.
Assassin's Creed Origins is set in Ancient Egypt around 49 BC
While Ghost of Tsushima takes place in Medieval Japan during the year of 1274 AD
Nevertheless, both games are based around historic events
and that makes each of them much more interesting.
Number 4
In both Assassin's Creed Origins and Ghost of Tsushima,
the homeland of the main character is being invaded by a foreign army.
And players have to step-in to save the day as the last defender of their people.
For example,
in AC Origins, the mighty Roman Empire is trying to seize control,
while players take on the role of Bayek, the final Medjay and Defender of Egypt.
In similar fashion, Ghost of Tsushima is set during the 1274 Mongol Invasion.
As one of the last surviving samurai,
players will have to fight for the liberation of feudal Japan.
Number 3 has to do with game type.
Both Assassin's Creed Origins and Ghost of Tsushima are open world,
action-stealth adventure games.
This is apparent in AC Origins, as there is a vast world to explore,
plenty of action,
and a plethora of stealth.
In like manner, Nate Fox, Creative Director at Sucker Punch Productions,
mentioned that players will be able to explore the entire island of Tsushima.
With action, stealth, and new discoveries around every corner.
Number 2
It's time to talk about gameplay.
Although we have not yet seen extensive gameplay from Ghost of Tsushima,
the official trailer featured a few snippets of in-game combat.
As you can see, these instances are shown from a third-person viewpoint.
Similar to third-person view in Assassin's Creed,
Ghost of Tsushima will likely be played in third-person.
Number 1
Although Ghost of Tsushima is a ways away,
and Assassin's Creed Origins has not been out for a very long time,
it seems both games will perform great among players,
and are definitely games worth trying out.
As cliché as this last similarity may sound,
it is so important in today's gaming industry.
Today, many players want games that they will enjoy for years to come.
With vast worlds to explore,
dynamic storylines,
and stunning graphics.
Both Assassin's Creed Origins and Ghost of Tsushima seem to be just that:
great games that will be enjoyed for a long time.
