Eight bodies found in Northern Japan from suspected North Korean fishing boat - Duration: 2:30.
A gruesome discovery in Japan.
Eight badly decomposed bodies have been found in a boat that washed ashore in northern Japan
last Friday.
Their belongings suggest they were from North Korea.
This comes only a few days after the body of another man believed to be from North Korea
was found on a Japanese island.
Won Jung-hwan has more.
The Japanese coast guard on Monday reported that they had discovered eight bodies, believed
to be North Koreans, in the fishing vessel that was washed ashore in northern Japan last
Friday.
The boat was first discovered on Friday by a Japanese resident in Akita Prefecture, facing
the East Sea.
Officials searched the vessel Sunday and Monday and found the eight bodies, several of which
were "skeletonized," indicating a long period had passed before it washed ashore.
Although the remains were so severely decomposed that it is hard to determine their gender
or nationality, Hangul characters found on their cigarette packs and life jackets...
suggest they came from North Korea.
The gruesome discovery follows a series of incidents along Japan's coast, including the
finding of a North Korean man's body and wooden boat parts on Sado Island, off the coast of
Japan's northwestern prefecture of Niigata on Saturday.
And on Thursday night, a boat with eight North Korean men was taken into Japanese custody
in Yurihonjo, Akita Prefecture.
Those men said they wish to return to North Korea.
The fishing grounds of the East Sea are rich with squid and crab, and North Korean fishing
boats often sail south of the Northern Limit Line to fish illegally in the area.
But, the grisly findings could also be evidence of desperate defectors trying a new route
to freedom after Kim Jong-un has clamped down on those fleeing the regime this year.
North Koreans typically escape the brutal regime by traveling through China.
An estimated 1-thousand people flee Kim Jong-un's regime each year, typically travelling through
China.
Last July, the family of an elite scientist fled the North in a fishing boat, and earlier
this month, a North Korean soldier's defection to the South through the Joint Security Area
at Panmunjeom recently made international headlines.
This year, the number of North Korean defectors successfully escaping the regime fell by nearly
13-percent.

5 TOP PLACES IN JAPAN by Sebastiano Serafini - Duration: 5:24.
Hello everybody, I'm Sebastiano Serafini and welcome to my channel!
Today I'm filming in my house, for the first time,
you will see my house
that I'm going to show in another video.
If you're new to this channel, my name is Sebastiano Serafini
if you want to subscribe, do it and also if you don't want to, because I like it when you sign up against your will.
Today I would like to talk about different landscapes, in japanese Keshiki.
I wanted to do a ranking, after consulting with some Japanese people
and after spending a long afternoon talking about Kenshiki.
The question was: Which are our 5 favourite places in Japan?
those who have a breathtaking view.
Mount Fuji didn't make it in this chart
yes, there are a lot of beautiful places where you can see the mount Fuji,
but in our opinion there are 5 other beautiful places that deserve more.
In the 5th position we have Yakushima,
Yakushima is one of the okinawan islands,
I like more the ishigaki island,
but since Yakushima became more popular during these years,
well, to go to one of these islands is a little bit expensive, compared to the main okinawan island.
We like this island because there is nobody, so we like it...
and we putted this beautiful seaside in this position,
it's a really decent position and shima means island in japanese
so, other japanese lesson.
In 4th position we have Yoshino
Yoshino is a mountain on the Nara island
we putted Yoshino, because 1st thing there are a lot of beautiful and nice roe deer,
because of that they achieve the 4th position,
and also because during the time of the Kojo (autumn leaves)
this place changes color from red, yellow and orange
and it's very beautiful!
I recommend to go there in early december or at the end of november, because it's very beautiful!
and it's the right time to see the autumn leaves.
In 3rd position we have Nagasaki
it's another beautiful city,
it has one of the most beautiful night views (yakei in japanese), it's one of the 3 most beautiful in the world.
There is a ranking made by someone that says
that the nicest night views in the world are:
Trento, ah no it's only on 4th position,
they put Monaco, I was there last summer, beautiful place
and also the beautiful Hong Kong.
In 2nd position we have Furano,
I recommend you to go in summer, because it's a wonderful place in Hokkaido,
north of Japan.
Furano is really beautiful, there are a lot of lavender flowers and other wonderful flowers,
it's very colorful and it has wonderful landscapes.
And if you want to see some night view I recommend Otaru,
since there was a night view in third position, we decided to put Furano in second position.
In fist position
I didn't know what to put,
I absolutely wanted to put Kyoto, because
there are two reasons:
first one is that I wanted to put a place that only in Japan exists,
and something extremely Japanese.
Kyoto is officially in first position and above all places of we deicded to take...
there are temples all over Kyoto,
we decided to take the Kiyomizu-dera
it's a beautiful temple and I recommend it when the cherry trees blossom (Sakura),
because everything is pink and when it's windy you will see all petals floating in the air.
It's fantastic and I think it's the most beautiful place in Japan to visit.
I'm not sure that everyone agree with my ranking,
if you know other places that would deserve to enter in the ranking, let me know.
Sincerely I couldn't choose,
because all of these places are number one.
Last thing, I didn't put Hashima island,
but I'm giving her a consolation prize,
it's an abandoned island
and they took inspiration for the forbidden siren horror game
and they also filmed Attack of Titan
and also some Batman scenes, I don't know which one.
One day everyone did move from this island, I know the reason, but it's a little long, maybe I'm doing a separate video
let me know if you want the separate video of Hashima island.
I tried to shoot a MV there, but I had some problems with the authorizations,
it's also a little bit far.
Maybe if I'm going there I would do a video, but in the future,
because I want to show you also some things that I do with my cellphone.
Well, let me know what your thoughts are about this ranking,
let me know in the comments which place you would like to visit the most.
See you tommorrow always at 2pm (GMT+1) with another wonderful video
Thank you for beeing here and kisses

Eight bodies found in Northern Japan from suspected North Korean fishing boat - Duration: 0:51.
Eight bodies have been discovered in a small wooden boat that washed ashore in Northern
Japan,... suspected to be that of North Korean fishermen.
The grisly discovery was made on Monday by the Japanese Coast Guard... on the shores
of Akita Prefecture facing the East Sea.
The bodies had been partially reduced to skeletons,... and although they have yet to be identified...
Hangul characters found on their cigarette packs and life jackets... strongly suggest
they came from North Korea.
The discovery comes just four days after another group of eight men... were found drifting
in a boat near the same area... and subsequently taken into Japanese custody.
The rescued survivors claim they are North Korean fishermen,... although it remains unclear
if they are in any way related to the latest discovery.

Solo Trip to Japan: Found my Spirit Animal in Akihabara? | Japaniku episode 5 (Ikutree) - Duration: 16:59.
Good morning everybody! I'm in Akihabara today.
And I just turned on my camera for the first time and it said memory card error
And I was like 'noooo'
I know I have a spare but if I can avoid things like that, it would be great.
So last night for the first night I actually fully slept. Either I was exhausted
or I finally got over my jetlag. I know I still look pretty tired
I'll probably have these until I get back to Belgium and get back to a normal rythm
Or have a few good nights at the Airbnb, I don't know
Sleeping in a room with a bunch of other people it's not as quiet as could be.
So why am I vlogging in this deserted area?
Well I just dropped off my backpack at my capsule hotel for tonight where I'm going to be staying because my hostel is full
So it's Akihabara Bay Hotel, a capsule hotel for women only
So it's all pink and pretty and it looks really fun
Luckily they took my bag before check in because it was really heavy
Good news and bad news. Well not really bad bad news but let's get it out of the way.
It's bad weather again, it started to rain so we'll probably have weather like yesterday
I can't believe that two days agao I was wearing a t-shirt and no coat and now
I'm with my jumper and coat and scarf
The passers by are all looking at me but duh I'm just vlogging in an alley
and the main road is right in front of me
And now I get to visit the city! I think I'm going to take it a little more chilled than yesterday
cuz yesterday I went -sorry I'm talking really fast but I want to get out of this alley
yesterday I went around so much and I was exhausted and I actually injured my ankle
really stupid story: I got an insect bite, probably a mosquito bite on my ankle
Right where the trousers end and where the boot starts
So the zipper part kept rubbing on it and it just became so red and inflamed and it was blistering
and it's gross so now I put a band aid on it and hopefully it will be ok
Ok I need to get out of this alley because I'm getting all the looks
Yeah I'm embarrassing myself
I don't know where I'm going to go. I pointed out a few areas that looked good on my map
So I'm just going to head to there and we'll see how it goes
This is more of a modern day Tokyo same as yesterday
I don't know how vlogging is going to go. Might be a lot of shops, less interesting things but yeah at least you get this update
to let you know what I'm doing this time. Yeah, I need to get out of this alley
Behind me I'm going to try something called Komaki Shokudo
and it's a vegan Japanese meal and I believe this is zen food
Let's see if they have room for me and have an early lunch because I didn't really have breakfast this morning
So let's go do that. Let me figure it out. It's at this place by the way, in this road
Took me a while to find this one too
Right now I'm in Mandarake
Where you can purchase second hand books and toys... you know.
Made it out.
One of my missions While I was in Japan was to get some of my favourite all time manga from when I was a teenager
in Japanese so the first volume or if they didn't have the first one then one random one
And I don't understand how books are alphabetized here at all. I tried to figure it out but no way
I don't know if it's by author, by title or by hiragana or is it by kanji, that I can't read so
I was looking in the same section for ages looking for Nana cuz I'd already found
One for my stepdad , one for my brother and one for myself
I'll show you everything I bought in another video, things I bought in Japan, I think it'll be easier
And I really wanted Nana so I was looking around and around and I bought my books
and left and then I though 'you know what, this is too dumb, I'm just gonna ask'
So with my worst Japanese -I realize now that what I said made absolutely no sense but she somehow understood me
and she was like 'oh there's a floor for shoujo manga so girl manga upstairs'
and i was like 'ugh my God it was right there' and I got it
I could buy like the whole series, like I don't know, 20 something book for only 25 bucks!
And I wish I could do that but it would make my suitcase way too heavy so I just got the one
So lets take a break here to update
I was in Akihabara for most of the day, walked around, saw what kind of area it was
A lot of anime, manga, collectibles, toys, figurines all that stuff
And then I tried to find a dessert cafe and never found it but
on the way I found that little temple thing -it wasn't a temple, it was a shrine. I keep mixing them up
A little shrine thing that I got to visit with a little more of a traditional feel right in the middle of Tokyo which was quite nice
Now I'm on my way to a garden I think which might not be the best idea seeing the weather but
I wanted to update you guys. Here is Tokyo Dome, there you go, Tokyo Dome behind me
I guess this is Tokyo Dome City
I'm just gonna see if I can find that garden and see if it's worth going there
And then I'm probably going to head back to my capsule hotel to check in
And I really need to pee so... yeah
So I'm here at Koishikawa Korakuen Garden
And it closes at 5. It's almost 4:30 so this was I believe one of the last entries
And I'm so happy I made it because it's quiet and just beautiful
Happy I made it. Worth the trip. I walked here. Definitely worth it
I'm now only realizing how huge this park is and that I probably won't have time to see everything before closing
Which is kind of a shame. It'll be something on my list when I come back
Hungry!
It's a little eerie when you think about it
Park closes in less than 30 minutes, it's about to get dark
I'm all alone here
Could get lost, hopefully not
Maybe I'll just follow this Ojiisan (grandpa) in front of me
It's a shame I can't show this to you properly. It's getting too dark.
And I can't really linger in too many places
At least you can hear the cicadas, the crickets and everything
Ah, here a little light. There we go.
As I was saying, it's getting dark and I don't want to linger on too long at different places
because I do want to be out of the park before they close. I expect they'll
They won't close if there are people in there but
I want to take my time and experience it. I wish I could show you more
but yeah I guess I came too late. Should've checked the time
Would have skipped going to Daiso!
God it's gorgeous!
Jesus, look at this!
The only thing though is that there's no one here. There's literally no one
There was just this Ojiisan who was in front of me
And now he's gone!
So maybe I'll get a move on now.
If I do get lost here and I have to spend the night here it will make for an interesting vlog
Especially since I need to pee since like I don't know, lunch time?
I'll have to pee in the wilderness!
Oh I thought there was a wild animal but we are right next to a
a (amusement) park which kind of ruins the ambiance if you ask me
Though I'm pretty sure you didn't
I can see the Ojiisan! Maybe he's waiting for me?
Making sure I'm still around. Ok where do I need to go now. Let me show you where I'm at
This is an old bridge, looks like. What does it say?
They have these little signs here
I guess by 'it' they mean where I just came from?
All these steps.
Let's be careful cuz I'm about to have to cross through there I think
There we go
Look! A turtle! Can you see him?
Ok let's not fall in please!
Ok, did not fall in
Now.. Ooh, look at that
See I'm at a crossroads again. Should I go this way or that way?
I'm going to go this way because this is the way Ojiisan went
And I keep calling him Ojiisan but he's not that old
Maybe he's my spirit animal you know? Like some people see deers?
And they follow them out of forests and things and my spirit animal is an Ojiisan.
Ok it's actually really dark down there
And maybe this is the entrance?
Could it be?
I believe that I am lost
Look at that! It's like a labyrinth
Oh here's the announcement again saying that I need to get out
Soon
This is getting ridiculous
I just saw Ojiisan again
Oh there we go: exit through that way
Restroom, exit... Shall we go to the exit then? I feel like I haven't seen everything!
But the park is closing... the garden, sorry
it's closing so...
Maybe I should go for the exit
Again: that way or that way?
That way
Where Ojiisan?
Oh, definitely this way
Woah
If you look way way over there
There we go, there he is
Here's my Ojiisan that I'm following down
I'm at the top of the World!
I am
I still need to get out of the park!
I saw the exit and I didn't take it and now I'm like aaah, I need to get out!
Let's get out. I keep saying that but now I lost Ojiisan
And the park closes in ten minutes!
I need to get out of here, aah!
I found the exit
I was a little stressed there for about two minutes and I was like 'mh which way?'
That was amazing. Recommend!
Forgot what it's called though
Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens. Recommend
Perfect way to end the day

Japanese gov't plans to establish exhibition hall to falsely claim sovereignty over Dokdo - Duration: 1:28.
Japan, which has continually claimed sovereignty over South Korea's easternmost Dokdo Island,...
now plans to build an exhibition hall in the heart of Tokyo to claim ownership over the
territory.
Kim Hyo-sun reports.
Tokyo's Hibiya Park is the venue for a regular cultural exchange event between South Korea
and Japan.
Yet, here at the park,... the Japanese government is reportedly establishing a permanent exhibition
hall falsely claiming Korea's Dokdo Island as Japanese territory.
Japan's Kyodo News Agency says the government plans to build an exhibition hall with materials
on Dokdo, or what Japan calls Takeshima... and the Diaoyu Islands, known in Japan as
the Senkakus.
Hibiya Park attracts many foreign tourists as it's adjacent to the residence of the Japanese
Emperor.
And there are also a number of government offices nearby,... including the Diet Building.
Tokyo plans to display archive materials that have been used to claim sovereignty over Dokdo,...
as well as various video materials to attract the younger generation.
Pointing to the Japanese government's first official exhibition hall to back its provocative
actions over Dokdo,... pundits say the decision reflects the voices of the ruling Liberal
Democratic Party to intensify territorial education in Japan.

Won Jung-hwan tells us more.
The Japanese coast guard on Monday reported that they had discovered eight bodies, believed
to be North Koreans, in the fishing vessel that was washed ashore in northern Japan last
Friday.
The boat was first discovered on Friday by a Japanese resident in Akita Prefecture, facing
the East Sea.

were "skeletonized," indicating a long period had passed before it washed ashore.
