Aftermovie Digital Society Conference 27-11-2018 - Duration: 3:03.
I hope that over ten years we'll have a kind of whole generation of researchers
who have a kind of rich interdisciplinary understanding of the
complexity of the challenges facing the digital society and that would be there
will be many people who many researchers who are able to kind of design new
products and take into account the kind of ethical and social issues but equally
that will have kind of social scientists and humanities scholars who are able to
understand the technology and the possibilities that it brings both for
society and for their own research
now it was an honor to organize this workshop today about e-health implementation
and a lot of stakeholders
attended to discuss challenges but also the opportunities for e-health
implementation in the field because what we see at this moment that there are a
lot of opportunities there are many many projects and research developments on
enhance implementation however in practice you see for example that care
professionals do not only use it every day that patients have to get used to it
and that business develop needed to cooperate such we need all the fields to
cooperate for real implementation
It is important that the Dutch universities companies and governments work together
because this delegation is
one of the most important changes in our society today and it's very complex and
we can only solve the problems by working together
well the most important
thing I've heard is that you really have to walk a little bit off the beaten path
to create new forms of cooperation and I think this applies to the digital
society as well
I think what was very interesting today is that there were
many people from various various different disciplines but that not only
that except for the site researchers there were also people from the
industries from a nonprofit organizations from governments
government agencies and what I think is so important that now we look for
commonalities what do we what are the stakes for us together in this digital
society and if we collaborate on those you know big common stakes I think
that if we if we can work on that together if it will collaborate on these
issues the big problems that we have to solve but also the big challenges that
we're facing I think would be the most important thing

CFAN 3096- Internship Digital Story - Duration: 1:15.
My name is Savina Pisan
and this is my third year as a Nutrition major with a Dietetics subplan in the College of Food and Natural Resource Sciences
at the University of Minnesota.
I am a research assistant at the Saint Paul Sensory Center.
I assist with different sensory studies the center puts on throughout the year.
I chose this
internship experience because sensory attributes
of food are really interesting to me,
and I love to see the new products companies are coming out with while being one of the first people to try them.
One of my learning goals for my internship was to learn how to properly conduct a consumer sensory study.
I have been able to complete my goal through our recent meat stick study.
From preparing the Sensory Center by cleaning all the booths to conducting the study by passing out specifically coded meat sticks to panelists,
I've been through the entire process of a sensory study.
The Sensory Lab internship has made me want to include sensory studies in my future career as a dietitian.
I think it could be really meaningful and
world-changing to work with food scientists to make foods that are both healthful and pleasing to our senses.
I hope to continue my work at the Sensory Center in order to gain more experience with sensory tests.

IMS201- Internet and Digital Privacy and Security - Duration: 4:11.
Oh cool
What the heck
Hey there, ever heard of internet privacy and security?
*Shakes Head* no
Well, lets start with the dangers of open networks.
Did you know that there are reports around 35%
of open, all wifi networks are unsecured?
Meaning that they don't protect your data
from malware distribution, cyber criminal snooping and sniffing
and even eavesdropping that can occur on networks that are not secured
No?
Well, one way to protect yourself is the use of virtual private network
also known as a VPN. A VPN can be used in order to create a private network just for yourself
that would keep your data secured within an open network.
Wow, that sounds really cool, I'll look into that more.
Thanks for the information.
Hey, have you ever heard of a digital footprint?
No, what is it?
A digital footprint is similiar to a real footprint, it is the information that you leave behind...
on the internet. There are two different types of digital footprints. 1 which is passive and 2 which is active
A passive digital footprint happens unintentionally, meaning it could happen to be something like visiting a website
or shopping online, and active digital footprint is something that does happen intentionally
like subscribing to a Youtube channel.
WOAH! What was that all about?
Just...A little physical demonstration.
Okay, but how does that have to relate to anything we are talking about?
Well similar to how you need to stay alert in a fight...
You stay on your guard with you want to protect your digital privacy.
It's also similar as being in a fight where there more than one type of danger you need to worry about.
Oh! I get it. So like, me dodging your punch was symbolic of me protecting my digital privacy?
But? Even though I know how to protect myself physically, I don't know how to protect my
my digital privacy online.
Well, luckily for you I am here to help
There are actually many ways that can protect your digital privacy.
Really? What would you recommend?
Well, I would probably recommend the two-step authentication.
This is where if somebody were to have your password, they, would still need another device
to log in to make sure that its actually you thats entering the account
Wow, that does sound useful.
I'm going to make sure all my accounts have security measures, in order to protect my data.
Absolutely.
Another way to protect your information online is through Data Encryption
Really? Whats that?
Well, Data Encryption is when you change the information into numbers using a code that
only few people know; without that code everything is gibberish to everyone else.
Really? So like a lock and a key?
Exactly...
*OPENS VAULT*
Just like that information is shown
Where did you learn all this anyway?
You can everything right through this book.

12 Essential Questions To Ask When Choosing A Digital Marketing Agency - Duration: 4:50.
Hi my name is Esteban Martinez and today i want to share with you the 12 most important
questions that you should be asking when searching for your next digital agency in Sydney or
any other location for that matter.
Ensuring that your agency understands both your customers and your brand will ensure
that you get off to a great 2019 and help hit your KPIs.
The first question I've got is.
How does the agency measure success?
This can be anything from new customers, registrations, revenue, conversion rate or just sales in
general.
So really understanding this from the very beginning, will ensure that you get off to
the right start.
Also, understanding what type of digital marketing do they specialize in?
This could be ecommerce, PPC, SEO, Social, Website optimization or other things.
Understanding what they specialize in first, will ensure that you have a clear understanding
on the right partner for you.
Then seeing, what other clients do they work with?
This will give you a sense of how big they are and how big you'll be working with them,
so you don't want to be working with an agency where you might be too small for them,
because they might not give you enough attention to help support your business.
And at the same time if you are a really big agency for a small company then they may struggle
to deliver for your business and your goals.
It's also important to ask if you can get access any referrals, sorry not referrals,
references or testimonials from customers.
Think of this just like a job interview you want to really find out more about them and
find out what services and results they have delivered for other clients before your sign
anything and lock yourself in with them.
Then also one of the most important ones is, just how many man hours or how many staff
hours will be spent on your business growing online, whether its through organic, paid,
social or conversion rate.
You need to know that as well, if there is a basic package, silver or gold, so that you
know how much time is going to be spent growing your business.
Then who is going to be working on the account?
Will it be the person you are speaking to, will it be a team of people underneath them?
Will it be outsourced?
If you can, you want to try and meet them, maybe have a phone call or definitely find
out who they are and get a feel for if you think they will be the right then you'll
get along with them.
Because people buy people, not only just services as well.
Then seeing if you can get an example of any of their reports or even a report template
so you know what to expect and what you'll get, once you start with that agency.
Then also, what is included in their fee's?
So some have just a basic package, other will cover everything and you want to have a breakdown
of how many hours will be spent in search, social or email marketing.
So you need to understand what you are getting for your money and where the resources will
be spent behind that.
Also just as important is what will not be included in those fee's or what is extra?
This could be anything from face to face meetings, website audits or any ad hoc requests that
you might ask for.
Also you want to make of who's working on the account and if any of the work will be
outsourced?
Ideally you want to have as much of it done by the people you work with directly and just
have an understanding of who's actually doing the work, as they will be the ones responsible
for your business growing online.
Then in terms of communication, how frequent will this be?
Whether it's face to face, or phone calls, emails.
Whether it be weekly or monthly.
Definitely understanding that and who will it be with.
As most of the time you speak to a sales person, but the people actually doing the work will
be the marketers themselves and you don't get to see them.
So it's important that you want to try get across that so you're comfortable with who's
going to be representing your business and your brand.
Lastly, one of the most important ones is, why is your agency the right choice for me?
Why should you choose that agency?
So again, having that connection.
Having a strong bond with the person that you are going to be working with is also really
helpful.
Hopefully this has helped you.
If you have any questions that you think I've missed out or you think are even more important,
please leave them in the comments section below and I'll get back to you as soon as
I can.
Check out my YouTube channel for more PPC videos and I will see you in the next one.
