On Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge visited Leicester for the memorial service in remembrance of the victims of the helicopter crash which claimed the life of Leicester City football chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. While greeting well wishers at Leicester University, Prince William's wife attempted to speak Italian after one fan said she was from the Mediterranean country. In her video, posted on Instagram, the Duchess replies: "How shall we say, ciao?

"I have to practice my languages, they are so bad."

She also said she hopes Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will be good foreign speakers.

The Duchess added: "My language is so bad, I have to make sure my children are better than me."

According to sources close to Kensington Palace, Prince Harry and Kate's children are already on the right track to be multilingual.

Prince George is said to be studying French at school.

In addition, the children get to speak Spanish with their Spanish nanny.

Prince George is said to be the only one able to count to ten in the language.

Even though the Duchess of Cambridge claimed to be "bad" at languages, she studied Italian during her gap year.

When she was 18, Kate lived in Florence, Italy for three months.

The now-mother-of-three studied Italian and history of art at the British Institute of Florence.

She attended the course for the full three months at the Palazzo dello Strozzino and the Palazzo Lanfredini and also attended Italian lessons in the evening to make the most of her time in the Tuscan city.

While Kate could never go to a bar with friends now, she often enjoyed a night out with pals while in Florence according to a former friend.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte: When is the next appearance for the royal children? - Duration: 3:18.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been seldom seen lately, likely as both are busy with schoolwork before the end of term. The royal brother and sister are still young, aged five and three respectively. As such, they are rarely seen unless they appear at important royal events alongside their family, as they are not official working royals. The two are still nursery-aged, attending top schools in London.

When is the next appearance for the royal children?

George and Charlotte are still too young to be participating in official royal business.

Most royals will go through school, college and university before they come into royal work, so the prince and princess are still a long way off.

The only time we see the royal children are when their family is taking part in official business, namely with mum Kate Middleton and dad Prince William.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will make their next official appearance in Cyprus on December 5, where the couple will visit RAF Akrotiri.

While they are there, the royal couple will be throwing a Christmas party and engaging with personnel, handing out presents.

According to Kensington Palace, this is "in recognition of the unique contribution and sacrifices serving personnel and their families make year-round, and especially when they are separated during the festive period.

They will also open the Oasis Centre on site, where personnel will be able to relax when they are not on shift.

There is no word on whether George and Charlotte will join them yet, but George's school term and Charlotte's nursery terms not have ended.

George's term at Thomas's Battersa ends on Thursday December 13, and Charlotte's at the Willcocks Nursery School ends on Monday December 10.

This likely means neither child will be seen at a public event until then.

The next time we see the children will probably be when the Royal Family makes their appearance on Christmas Day.

When is the next official royal appearance?

Prince Charles is making an official visit today to Norfolk, but without wife Camilla.

He will be visiting the recently refurbished King's Lynn Police Station in Norfolk.

His sister Anne, the Princess Royal, will be attending activities in Chile organised to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Chilean Navy.

She will be accompanied by her husband, retired Royal Navy officer Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.
