A celebrity mother, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has had two of her children taken away and placed into foster care, according to reports

According to The Sun, the mother was reportedly "neglecting the youngsters" while pursuing her showbiz lifestyle.  The website reports that social services are understood to have intervened after being contacted by a member of the public who allegedly saw her assaulting one of her children in public by "pulling her son's hair"

It's reported that officers then uncovered a number of other problems.  The Sun reports that a judge has placed the children into care with another family close to the mother's £1million home

A source said: "She has been struggling to cope recently.   "They are lovely kids, very well mannered. But she won't give up her celebrity life to concentrate properly on them and things have all got a bit too much

"Social services got involved after she was accused of puling her son's hair.   "Then further problems came to light."  The mother, who is reportedly a well-known face on television, is said to be "distraught at losing her children

"  The Sun reports that the star's agent did not respond to a request for comment, and a local authority, who is handling the case, said: "We cannot and would not comment on care proceedings

Cash-strapped councils 'can't afford waste collection services' - Duration: 2:43.

</form>  as councils face a £8billion funding black hole, council chiefs will warn today

Local authorities may no longer be able to afford core services such as running libraries, fixing potholes or even collecting rubbish by 2025 because of the cash crisis

It will leave services like the pick-up of household waste from millions of doorsteps "damaged beyond recognition", experts say

The Local Government Association says Chancellor Philip Hammond's next spending review will be "make or break" for councils

.  And authorities face an alarming funding gap of £7.8billion by 2025, according to a report

The LGA issued the warning at the start of its annual conference, in Birmingham.  Cash-strapped councils are now dipping into their reserves and many are in danger of running out of cash

And because of the desperate bid to keep social care services running, other services including weekly bin collections are now under threat

LGA chairman Lord Porter said: "We've reached a point where councils will no longer be able to support our residents as they expect, including our most vulnerable – let alone help the country to prosper

"More and more councils are struggling to balance their books and others are considering whether they have the funding to even deliver statutory requirements

If the Government allows the funding gap. to reach almost £8billion by the middle of the next decade, our councils and local services will be damaged beyond recognition

"The impact on society – all places, all generations, every person – will be hugely damaging

Millions of people will be deprived of the vital local services that help improve quality of life and bind communities together

"  Shadow Local Government Secretary Andrew Gwynne said; "Ministers can't hide from the truth any longer – Tory austerity is decimating our local services

"  A Government spokes-man said: "We are work-ing with local government to develop a funding system for the future

Business Career Services - Duration: 7:06.

Welcome to your orientation, my name is Carol Stamm, Employer Relations and Job Development

Specialist in the College of Business and Innovation and basically I work with the Graduate

Programs Office in doing your searching for jobs, resumes, and other things because after

all you come to school for an education but you still do need to find a job after you

graduate and that's where I come in.

That's one of the areas that I do work with.

First I want to just, make a side note, and the side note being is I do write your resumes

with you personally, one on one, but not until you get closer to the semester for graduation.

That's basically, where I follow that guideline because you need to get some classes under

your belt, you need to understand your major and where you're going along that line so

I prefer, and have set this pretty much this way, to basically when it gets closer to your

semester of graduation, that's when I will work with you on it and help you in every

way that I can on getting your resume set up for your new position.

One question that we get a lot in orientation is this, it is about the employers and how

and what do they ask for in majors.

So basically we did a survey, at one of our job fairs, where there were over 100 employers

there and we asked them, and as you can see on your screen Marketing was about 37% and

now that includes sales and that.

But a lot of them basically said any: 19%.

They are willing and these are some of the different companies that we talked to, companies

that we do deal with here that have opportunities for students in all majors or just specific

areas too.

I also wanted to talk about the upcoming events that will be available to you and this available

if you are working and want to look for another job or if you just coming in straight from

your undergraduate but in the Business Programs Office on the fourth floor of Savage and Associates

building we have events one of them being right before our big job fair that I will

discuss later, is Mock Interview Days.

You can see the dates on the screen and actual employers come in and do these mock interviews,

we go from like 8:30 - 9:00 in the morning to 4:00, it's a half an hour interview, and

they give you feedback.

And we also have resume critiques for two days, and these again are employers again

looking at your resumes and making suggestions for changes.

The job fair this year will be Thursday, September 27th.

Then also we do an etiquette dinner, that's on October 18th.

Now that involves, the fact that we have a lady that comes up from Cincinnati, At Ease Etiquette,

she goes through the procedures that you need to know on having dinner with employers.

Making sure you understand exactly what you need to know do, how to handle yourself.

A lot of employers, especially in the Accounting area, are doing this with students.

They are taking them out to dinner, and having conversations with them, and you will learn

what to do, what not to do, in that type event.

Now I just have some pictures up of screen about job fair.

It does fill up, we had last fall, we had over 600 plus COBI students there and over

100 plus employers.

And they are all there just for the business students, those are the ones that they are

really interested in and that's what our Business Career Programs Office deals with on the fourth

floor of the Savage and Associate building.

So this is a great event to come to, this is a great event to meet new people, network,

and start working on your career get a feel for what's going on.

The one thing that we just took on this year and we are very, very, excited about is called

Handshake.

It is the Business Career Service Platform.

This particular Handshake is something connected with over 475 colleges around the United States,

8 million students and alumni, and over 200 plus employers, and 165 thousand recruiters.

That's all out on Handshake.

And we have purchased this platform and we are putting it together and offering it to

every student in the College of Business.

As you can see on this screen, it says utoledojoinhandshake.com you follow that link go into there and follow

what it says, now you need to definitely, enter your, go through your rocket email,

and you need to enter it with your firstname.lastname@rockets.utoledo.edu I am saying that because some people get UTAD@rockets

and that will not work.

You are in the system as soon as you start school here, under your firstname.lastname

So, this particular program is amazing because you can search companies all over the globe.

You can search companies here, you can set up your own profile in it and the profile

is very, very close to what LinkedIn looks like.

You can put your picture out there, do all the things that you do with LinkedIn, you

can connect with other students looking for different things.

It's just open to so much, and it's enclosed. And in Handshake it's not like it's out on the internet and everybody can see what you are doing and what's going on. It's more along that line that it's inclusive.

And it's like again who's hiring, almost like what they have here, 100% of fortune 500 out there. I have heard 95-100%.

But it's out there for all of you to look at. To explore. Thousands of jobs, you can discover jobs that may be made for you. You may be like "oh my gosh, this is always what I wanted to do!"

You can track all kinds of information and connect with employers and then meet potential people as well.

And basically the cool thing is, this app, there is a mobile app right now for anyone with an Apple. Just follow the instructions as you're going into Handshake.

And you have it right there that you can watch it, search it all the time on your phone. The Android app is coming this fall.

And once it is out we will make the announcement. So I'm just saying, think about joining Handshake to learn, grow, and repeat.

And if you do have problems or any situations, the Business Career Programs Office, again is on the Savage Business, Savage & Associates Business Complex 4120. We will gladly work through anything to help you get on Handshake!

It is a valuable, valuable asset! So that's what I wanted to share with you and I welcome you to the College of Business and Innovation!

And wish you a very, very good semester coming up this fall.

Who Can Benefit From Utilizing Campus Advisers' College Planning Services? - Duration: 2:32.

- Please tell and share with our audience,

who's an ideal client for Campus Advisers?

I mean, who can really benefit from your company's

college financial planning services?

- Well, we've been able to make an impact

with families at all income levels,

but most specifically, families that have

students heading towards college,

families that have two or more heading for college

at the same time, need-based families,

parents that are single, divorced, widowed.

There's some really unique circumstances around that.

Families that are wealthy and believe

that they're never going to qualify for any type of aid.

Sometimes, they're really surprised.

And then also, small business and entrepreneurs.

Let me share a quick story.

So we've got a client right now

and she is the single mom of three college-bound daughters

and so her income is just under $50,000

and not a lot of countable assets

within the financial equation,

and so she's just trying to figure out,

how do I get three daughters through college

at an income of around $50,000?

Well, within that, there's some real opportunity,

and so her daughter was looking at

a Southern California school, among others,

but what we were able to help guide her through

was to realize that there are different types of funds

available at different types of schools,

and so at the end of the day, the daughter ended up

with a really fantastic award from Southern California,

a private school, as well as our in-state schools,

and the out-of-pocket was pretty equivalent.

And so for that mom, it made it affordable

for her to be able to send her daughter

to an out-of-state private college.
