Incredible LOCAL JAPANESE FOOD Tokyo | Conveyor Belt Sushi FEAST | Epic TONKATSU (pork cutlet) - Duration: 18:20.

we're in Tokyo, Japan the food culture here is incredible and we can't wait to

film a tonne of food videos let's get food hunting

Tokyo, if you love to eat that word alone is enough to get you excited

we're taking you to some popular

local spots for some mouth-watering food golden fried pork cutlets, thick spicy

Japanese curry and delicious conveyor belt sushi, you don't want to miss this

video get ready for some amazing food

I'm Thomas and I'm Sheena and we're Chasing a Plate, we hope you're hungry, let's eat!

our first stop is for a meal that we both love to eat we we're in Japan and

that's tonkatsu, tonkatsu are crumbed and deep-fried pork cutlets and this

restaurant behind me that we're going to eat at

has been awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand awards two years in a row so we can't

wait to try their version

"thank you very much"

we've got our tonkatsu in front of us and holy moly these meals

just look insane, so I ordered rosu katsu set so this is the pork loin

cutlet, there's a pile of shredded cabbage on top and my set comes with a

bowl of rice and also miso soup, Thomas has got the kare katsu so a pork

loin cutlet and then rice, some pickles a soft boiled egg or half a soft boiled egg and then

this huge pile of curry sauce and his comes with miso soup as well

look at this

curry so it's full of minced pork, has a beautiful very thin skin forming on it

and this beautiful Japanese style rice kind of a little bit sticky holds

together really well, I want to try the rice and the curry first

oh wow, oh my god the curry's got a beautiful thickness to it

oh man that is good but we've gotta go into this pork as well I mean look at that crumb on

there it is ridiculously crispy I'll grab this middle bit, look at that, dunk

it in the curry

wow wow wow that is so good the pork itself is super soft and easy to eat, a little bit

juicy, it's perfectly cooked and the crumb is super dry and the lightest crumb I've ever tasted

it sort of just dissolves as it crunches, oh gosh that is good

I want to just grab some cabbage from

under there it's beautifully fresh, very thinly cut cabbage and I'm just gonna swipe

that through the curry as well

that adds a true crunch to the dish and obviously a real freshness

this is unreal

let's get a piece of this pork with the crumb, we'll get some of these pickles put

them on the top, obviously some rice put that all together and I'll break this

egg in half, let's just get half that egg in there at the same time

mmmmm

oh my god

wow, wow

the pickle just added a tiny, tiny little twang, I couldn't really taste it in that

that might be better as sort of between mouthful bites

mmm that's really mildly

pickled so it's just really crunchy, it's quite good to freshen up the mouth this

is absolutely unreal

it was torture filming Thomas and having

the tonkatsu's smell like wafting up into my nostrils I've got to get in

so my tonkatsu comes with a slice of lemon so I'm just gonna drizzle that all over

the pork cutlet and then I've also got a splodge of mustard here let's just try

this middle piece of tonkatsu oh my gosh check out that meat it's just still

slightly pale pink and there's all this juice oozing out of it, I just want to try it naked with nothing on it

mmmmmm, oh my god that is insane

the meat is really juicy and the crumb like Thomas said is so light it almost

just dissolves in your mouth as you crunch through, you get the first bite

of crispiness of that crumb and then that meat is insane it's so juicy

it's got a ton of flavour and this restaurant uses pork which comes from Okinawa so

that's what they're famous for whoa, I'm gonna get actually some of this sauce

which is on the table this tonkatsu sauce and drizzle it over this piece alright let's

see what that tastes like

mmmmmm, mmmm! Mmm!

that adds another dimension it's quite sweet, quite savoury it tastes like a mix of

ketchup and barbecue sauce and Worcester sauce, that adds a real tanginess to

the meat

I love the presentation of Japanese food so the tonkatsu is sitting

on this tiny little wire rack and then this pile of fresh shredded cabbage

just it just looks so simple and beautiful

so appealing to eat, I'm gonna get another piece of this pork, give it a dab

in that mustard

mmmm follow it up with some cabbage

mmmm and then some rice hahaha

mmmm, mmm

oh man that's just so good, the hot, slightly starchy rice

that really fresh cabbage, that really just is the perfect accompaniment because

it just takes away any greasiness there might be or oiliness from that crumb on that tonkatsu

and then that meat is so

juicy, that mustard is quite spicy actually and it added a really great sort of kick of spice, that is so good

I spotted everyone pouring some white sauce onto their cabbage so I asked the

waiter for some and I'm gonna do exactly the same and then give that taste

ohhhh hahahah this

meal is just so exciting to eat

mmmmm

it's like a creamy ranch dressing, oh this is heaven on a plate

mmm, mmm, mmmm! Wow! That was spectacular!

I don't think I've eaten pork that juicy before, it was amazing

it blew my mind, so delicate such a simple meal but flavour explosion and mine, the curry in my one

I think it had Szechuan pepper in it because as I went on and particularly

right at the end I started getting a quite a numb tongue oh

everything about that was spectacular mm-hmm I would eat that again in a

heartbeat

next up for this video we are going to eat sushi at a sushi train restaurant

now there are thousands of conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Tokyo but we chose

this one Hanamaru because it's affordable, it's supposed to be really

excellent fresh fish because we have heard that

the Hanamaru buyers are so well-respected in the sushi industry

that they get special access to really good fish in Tsukiji fish market so we are

so excited to get our fill of sushi

this place is great it's on the tenth floor of the Tokyu Tower so there's this

amazing view of the city or of Ginza which is the suburb that we're in and there is so much

delicious looking sushi going past on the train or on the conveyor belt and

what's really cool at sushi restaurants is, we're sitting at the, at a table or a

booth as opposed to at the sushi bar but there's a hot water tap here and they've

also got mugs going past so I'm just gonna grab a mug and then there's matcha

powder or green tea powder on the table so you just fix yourself a mug of

green tea to start off with and then you can just start loading up your

table with sushi that's going past as well as putting in an order from the

sushi chefs if it's not on the conveyor belt

"excuse me, thank you"

we have got our first round of sushi and oh my gosh this stuff looks fresh so

let me talk you through what we've got we're starting with the minced fatty

tuna, with a bit of spring onion, some inari so that's rice with bean curd

sheets wrapped around it, at the front here is minced fatty salmon with a raw quail

egg, that looks incredible, some salmon which has been seared so

aburi salmon, tuna, this amazing looking grilled eel with that beautiful sauce based

on the top, this is raw squid and it's served with a spicy cod roe and then fresh

salmon and then finally some rolls with wasabi leaf I believe

this is super exciting

I'm gonna start with this quail egg one so the minced tuna and that raw quail

egg yolk in there so I'm just gonna dab a very small bit of soy sauce on there

and of course one mouthful

mmmm

Wow, mmm, oh that is so good

the salmon on one side of my mouth and

the egg yolk on the other so they're completely different textures and then

they popped and moulded together and it made the salmon that minced up salmon super

creamy as the egg yolk all mixed in with it and there's some spring onions on there so

had a little bit of crunch from the fresh spring onions and the rice is very, very

delicate that is a good first mouthful here

grab a bit of ginger

so that just cleanses the palate

mmmm ooooo really nice and sharp so it's pickled ginger so

crunchy really tangy and a nice gingery spice going on

now I gotta have my favourite

that's eel I love anything eel and this is a

roasted eel with the beautiful sticky sauce on top

let's get that so I'm not gonna add any soy or anything to this one, straight

on in

mmmmm

Ohhhh that fills me with joy that is so

good the sauce on top is a little bit sticky

a little bit sweet, the eel itself perfectly cooked still a little bit warmth

from being roasted but just a fraction, very soft meat, I love the texture of eel

and that is perfectly cooked there's no sliminess in the fats that are in

there it's all just perfect, another awesome plate, so with these

plates it's all colour-coded so you can see some are green, some are blue and

they all have different values so at the end of the meal they just charge you

based on what amount and what colour plate you've got, it's super simple

ingenious

this here is the fresh squid with the spicy marinated cod roe so I'm gonna

get one of these oh I might just pop a little bit of soy sauce on there

so I'm just gonna dab it lightly on the top

all right, one bite

mmmmm, mmmm, mmmm

whoa that was so good the raw squid is really tender and super creamy

the marinated cod roe you can't really taste very strong it's just like the

faintest hint of flavour there but that oh that squid it is delicious it is

so tender and creamy all right next up the minced

fatty tuna with the spring onion oh oh it's gonna topple over

alright, get a bit of that soy on there ohhh the spring onions are sliced

really really fine and that minced fatty tuna looks so good

mmm, mmmm

mmm, mmmm, mmmmm

whoa, ohhhh

the tuna is so flavoursome, it's really creamy, really rich, it almost just melts in your

mouth and it's so fresh and then the spring onion it gives it a fresh burst

it's got that slight sort of spiciness oh that's delicious and the rice is really beautiful it's

not all clumpy and sticky, it's just the perfect consistency

I'm really intrigued by these wasabi leaf rolls so it looks like a pickled

wasabi leave in there, I have eaten raw wasabi leaf like fresh wasabi leaf straight

off the plant before and it was beautiful and tangy, I'm really interested to try these

just gonna give it a quick little dunk in the soy sauce just a small coating

mmmm, mmmm

that is beautiful so the leaf is much more mild than the

root so wasabi is the root of this plant the very hot wasabi that we're used to

and this is just a very mild version of wasabi, it's beautiful got just enough tang to

really feel it on your tongue and on the sides of your mouth but it doesn't go up

your nose like a big splodge of wasabi root does that's really nice too

I can't not get

into this piece of salmon so it's just a raw piece of salmon but it's been

blow-torched on top so just slightly cooked on top a

cheeky little dip in that soy it's got a sauce on top like a sweet soy, a thick

sauce has been brushed over the top so it doesn't need much soy

oh man

seriously wow another incredible mouthful everything I've had has been unreal, this is

amazing, amazing I'm loving it, there's so much cruising past on the conveyor belt we can order

more sushi straight from the chefs we're definitely gonna be we're gonna

easily wolf down these plates and then we're gonna get another of plates, this is a

very good meal

our stack of plates is growing and we've ordered a second round

so we have got sweet prawn, this is grilled

vinegared mackerel, we've got some raw squid here,

raw salmon again, the eel we just had

to order another plate because it is insanely delicious and then this is a

boiled conger eel roll with cucumber we're just gonna get into it because

there's only so many "oh my gosh this is amazing's"we can say about this

meal the fish is so fresh, the flavours are just so on point and this is such a

memorable experience especially being this high up over the

city

two incredible meals here in Tokyo I would eat both of those right now

again they were amazing, highly, highly recommended, remember to hit that

subscribe button, we've got a tonne more videos coming from Tokyo and then after

How did Buddhism Come to Japan? | History of Japan 15 - Duration: 7:50.

In the late Kofun, early Asuka period, the Korean kingdom of Paekche dropped two bombs

on Japan, in quick succession.

Instead of explosives, these bombs were filled with Chinese culture.

The first was the Chinese writing system, the second was Buddhism.

When these Chinese culture bombs exploded...you know what, that's a really dark metaphor.

How about pinatas instead?

When the Japanese beat on these Chinese culture pinatas, Chinese culture candy spilled out

all over ancient Japan.

These two pinatas kickstarted a hard shift towards Chinese thought.

Over the next few centuries, Japan would adopt more Chinese culture and systems of government.

Let's briefly mention Pinata Number 1:

writing.

The Japanese did not have a written language before.

Of course they've seen Chinese script before, it's pretty hard not to.

If you lived in East Asia back in the day, the Chinese didn't miss a chance to remind

you how superior they were.

But just like today, I can find a book written in Chinese, doesn't mean I understand it

or know how to write it.

The Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, ancient Japanese history books, both say that in the 400s,

Paekche introduced the Chinese writing system to Japan when they sent over an envoy carrying

a list of 1000 Chinese characters and writings about Confucius.

It's not clear if that's what actually happened or the Japanese just became interested

in Chinese writing because they were exposed to it so much by immigrants from the Korean

Peninsula.

We'll save the discussion of Chinese writing and Confucianism for another time.

In this video, let's beat on Pinata Number 2:

Buddhism.

Now some of the Japanese already knew about Buddhism.

Again, there were many immigrants living in Japan.

Buddhism was already popular on the continent.

According to the Nihon Shoki, in 552 AD, the Paekche king wanted Japan to help him defend

against his neighbors, Koguryo and Silla.

So, along with a plea for help, he sent a bunch of Buddhist scriptures and a statue

of Buddha made of copper and gold to the Yamato court.

The date this event happened may also have been 538 AD.

Picture a boxing match.

Two boxers in the ring, the announcer has already announced their names, everyone is

tense, waiting for the bell.

The bell dings, and BOOM, the punches fly.

The Buddhist scriptures arriving to Japan was the bell going off.

It kicked off a brawl between two factions in the Yamato court.

They had the same arguments day after day.

Should we adopt the new religion, or should we not?

Leading the anti-adoption side, we had the powerful Mononobe and Nakatomi clans.

The Mononobe handled the weapons and armor for the Yamato family.

The Nakatomi handled rituals for kami worship.

These were the old guards.

They spent a long time accumulating power, they were conservative, they didn't want

things to change.

They warned that it would invite the wrath of the native gods if they worshipped these

foreign gods.

Leading the pro-adoption side, we had the Soga clan.

They were the upstarts, the new kids on the block.

They had only recently rose to power, so the others were like, "Who do these whippersnappers

think they are, demanding all this change?

They should learn their place!"

The Emperor tried to compromise.

The court didn't adopt Buddhism, but the head of the Soga got to the keep the statue

and could worship in private.

Good effort, Emperor, but they kept on arguing.

Purely coincidentally, an epidemic struck and killed a bunch of people.

Not letting a good plague go to waste, the anti-adoption side said,

"See? See? The gods are angry!"

And so the Emperor ordered the Buddha statue thrown into a river and ordered the temple

that housed the statue burned.

The debate raged on for decades.

And if you think, oh they're being ridiculous, how can you have the same debate for decades...

I have five words that will make you understand:

Star Wars

or Star Trek?

Anyways, one day, the Soga had a flash of inspiration and thought of the perfect winning

argument.

In 587, the Soga marched over to the Mononobe's seat of power with an army and crushed them,

even killing their leader, proving once again that violence is always the answer.

After the battle, the Nakatomi were like, "Oh, oh you mean adoption!

Of course!

We love kids!"

And so the Yamato court adopts Buddhism as its official religion.

So the question you should be asking throughout all this is:

why?

Why was this such a big deal?

Were they just super religious?

Well, they certainly were religious, and I don't want to downplay the religious aspect.

But the reason it got so out of control was also political.

The Mononobe claimed they descended from a kami that flew down from heaven long ago,

who later declared loyalty to the legendary first emperor, Emperor Jimmu.

This claim granted them a lot of power in the court.

They feared that adopting Buddhism would diminish respect for the kami, the traditional gods,

and challenge their authority.

The Nakatomi oversaw kami worship rituals.

They didn't want Buddhism encroaching on their territory, eating their slice of the

pie of influence.

Or worse, they didn't want to be made obsolete.

On the other side, the Soga were treasurers and traders.

They collected and distributed rice and goods produced from Chinese and Korean immigrants.

Their role allowed them to talk to foreigners all the time, exposing them to this new religion.

In fact, many historians believe that Soga was an immigrant clan.

That is, the ancestor of their chieftains came from the Korean Peninsula.

Whether or not that's true, the Soga did buy into the idea that civilized people followed

Buddhism.

Plus, they did not derive their power from their relationship to a kami, so they didn't

fear a new religion supplanting the old one.

The Soga victory was huge.

It was a triumph of new power, leaders who were bureaucrats and managed things, over

traditional power, leaders whose power originated from religion.

I suppose it was also a symbolic victory of the immigrant clans, who mostly leaned Buddhist,

over the native clans.

It was mostly the immigrant clans who founded Buddhist temples.

Now there are people who will say, so Korea taught Japan writing and Buddhism.

Well, no, that's overly simplistic.

Just because these things were introduced to Japan from Korea, it does not mean that

the Koreans taught the Japanese.

They didn't send over a bunch of teachers who went around handing down information from

on high like missionaries spreading the word of God.

No, the Japanese chose to study Chinese writing and Buddhism because they wanted to.

They were the active party.

They were responsible for spreading the use of writing and the worship of Buddhism in

the Yamato state.

Just wanted to clarify that.

As we will see later, instead of letting Buddhism take over, the Japanese would incorporate

Buddhism into its native kami worship, similar to how they treat many future foreign ideas

and technology.

The Japanese have this amazing ability to take something they learn from another culture

and, instead of adopting it wholesale, they would convert it into something uniquely Japanese.

Give it a Japanese twist.

With this victory, the Soga solidified their power, and would control the Imperial court

for the next half century.

Hiii! So I've been asked if I had any book recommendations, and I do!

It's this one.

It's called Premodern Japan, Second Edition, by Mikiso Hane and Louis Perez.

Now I've been using this as a source and it's excellent.

It covers everything from before the Meiji Restoration.

It's clear, concise, and the second edition was published just a couple years ago so

it's updated with all the new information.

If you were to buy one book, I recommend this one.

Link in the description.

If you buy, I get a little commission and it helps the channel.

Byeeee!

What?

You are winning, just as you intended.

He.. Elgin... That bastard...

He looked a little scared, didn't he?

Maybe you guys couldn't see it, but I saw it.

He panicked and started to rush.

He used move after move because he was so afraid.

But, I just bided my time, waited for my chance...

Just one chance was enough.

You don't wrestle with muscles,

You wrestle with heart.

Yes...

You should appreciate the wisdom from The King of Pro-Wrestling, you insect.

Go back to square one and start over.

What's that?

We're having fun, huh? We do. Everyday.

Every single day, I go at full throttle.

Beat up, choke out, and break bones. It's so much fun, isn't it?

A third win doesn't change Okada's bizarre outlook! The Rainmaker stands tall and...apologizes? - Duration: 4:01.

That's my third win.

3.

3 things…

Let me say—

That's not it...

Have I been saying this the whole summer?

Usually I...

1st win… And 2nd win…

3rd win!

As I said in the press conference, sorry to everyone here for having a boring match tonight.

Sorry for the boring match.

It was good?

It was good? You guys think so?

Thank you.

In all of Japan, Hamamatsu is my favorite town.

But of course, when I go to next town, I may say the same thing.

Sorry about that!

And today…

Your cheers...

Thank you all very much!

I'm thinking of what I should say...

I said it will be boring, but it turned out to be a good match.

But I don't think that's praise for me.

If the fans liked it, that means YOSHI-HASHI was close, and I don't want that to be the case.

I'm not comfortable with that.

About YOSHI-HASHI… I have nothing to say.

It's not enough to be satisfied with just having a good match.

Nothing else to say about YOSHI-HASHI.

Me? I have to win the rest of G1.

I've lost too many already

It's not just 2 losses.

For me Kazuchika Okada, 2 losses are more losses than I can imagine.

I won't be embarrassed by losing in G1, or anywhere in New Japan, for that matter.

Anyway, I now have my third win.

I can't even ask what 1+1 is here, anymore.

The answer is 3… It's 3…

What is 1+1?

What the heck is a "G-PAN" in Japan? Asking Foreigners in Japan about Japanese words - Duration: 6:31.

- Tea... Tea pan? - Oh no, not a tea pan.

I don't know, I feel like it's is some sort of utensil.

Yes!

You're the first person who got this straight away!

Hey guys, it's Cathy cat.

Today we're going to ask foreigners in Japan about Wasei Eigo words

Which means, they are words that Japanese people think are English

but they're actually not English.

So, wait...

Put the dog head out of the screen I'm trying to do the opening.

So, on that note.

We're gonna go and ask foreigners in Japan if they can decipher that word.

Same thing goes for you, though!

Please take part in the quiz and write down what you think that word actually means.

And!

Let's enjoy the video. Don't forget to subscribe if you're new to your channel

would be lovely to have you on the team.

And now! Let's start the quiz and ask foreigners in Japan.

Where are you from?

I'm from Hong Kong, nice to meet you guys.

You watch Ask Japanese, thank you! :3

What do you think is G-pan?

G-pan... G-pan..?

G-pan. You think maybe, you mean it's pants? You mean underwear?

- Yeah. - Oh, very close!

G-pan...?

- Tea... Tea pan? - Oh no, not a tea pan.

No Tea pan? It's kind of coding or...

A code name, is it like a brand name?

It's a brand name. I'm sorry, I couldn't figure it out.

G from jeans and the pan from pants.

So JEANS.

Oh, jeans!

- Oooh! - Ta-da!

Okay, where're you from?

I am from the United States of America. I'm from Indiana.

But yeah, Columbus, Indiana. Very small town in Columbus

and that's where we met originally in their visiting.

Yeah, they're first time than Japan so.

That sounds like an English word, but is actually no than English word

Is...

G-Pan!

Sounds like someone's saying Japan wrong.

I don't know. I feel like it's is some sort of utensil or something.

I don't know, I don't think I've heard that one.

You say, someone who might just say Japan wrong. You said it's a utensil.

What do you think is a G-pan is used for?

- G- G pan ... - G-Pan.

I'm gonna say it's a serving utensil.

You serve something on it.

Like a platter.

Actually, an item that you wear.

- You wear?? - Interesting.

Oh man, is it a scarf?

- Ah!.. No. - No?

I have no idea...

Oh, you know. Don't forget to wear your G-Pan before you go out.

- Like pants or tights? - Oh yes!

Is that it?

So you take the "G" from jeans.

Okay...

Oooh!

Which comes up to jeans. Like a pair of jeans!

Okay! So, where are you from?

Oxford in England.

-Right, both of you? -Yeah.

So one of these words is G-Pan.

What do you think does G-Pan mean?

A type of car?

Oh a G-Pan! That actually could be a car!

Okay, G-Pan.

It's an item that you wear.

Maybe a hat?

A G-Pan... Maybe a type of hat... Shoes?

Are you looking at my feet? No?

What item of clothing starts with "G"?

Jeans... Jeggings...

Jeans!

- Would you have guessed that? - No, I would not have guessed that.

Hey! Where are you from?

I'm French and his Australian than we live in Madrid.

That is so international!

First time in Japan?

Yes, it is.

- Bread? - Okay.

Sport, maybe?

What kind of sport do you imagine G-Pan to be?

Maybe football? Something similar.

What kind of bread is it? G-Pan?

I just thought about that because in Spanish you say pan for bread, but I have no idea.

What do you think it would taste like?

Sesame bread?

Love the idea! It's actually an item that you wear, as an item of clothing.

What do you think it could be? G-Pan?

A pants, like a jeans?

Yes!

You're the first person who got this straight away!

Oh, sweet!

Why what did you think that?

Because "pan" for pants, and "G" for jeans.

So, you said you were from...?

Russia.

- And you? - Russia.

- She too. - So both, right!

And it's the word G-Pan.

What's a G-Pan?

G-Pan? G- Japan?

G- Japan!

Sounds like a rapper. G. Japan is in the house!

Okay, I didn't do that!

So that's your guess, what's your guess?

- What could G-Pan mean? - G-Pan...

Maybe it's bread?

- Bread, yeah... - In the form of ...

... a "G", I don't know.

Maybe it's G- G bread

I don't know...!

JoJo bread, old person bread...?

GG bread...

Well, sounds nice.

But! G-Pan is not edible.

It's an item of clothing.

Since you're both so fashionable

you might be wearing a G-Pan another day so what's...

- Pants? -Yeah!

But, what type of pants?

- G... JEANS? - Yeah!

You got that!

There's the "G" from jeans and then the "pan" from pants.

Jeans pants, G-Pan.

Who knew!

Thank you so much! Thank you.

Now, did you get it? Did you get the word?

I'm curious to find out if you could decipher the meaning of the word before we actually told you.

Breaking News - Newcastle complete £10m signing of Japan forward Yoshinori Muto - Duration: 2:50.

Newcastle have completed the £10million capture of Japan forward Yoshinori Muto from Mainz - subject to him receiving a work permit to play in England

The two clubs earlier this week agreed terms for the 26-year-old, who impressed during the World Cup as his country reached the round of 16

And on Friday night, Newcastle released a statement to confirm the player has been on Tyneside completing a medical and finalising personal terms

Muto joined Mainz from FC Tokyo in 2015 for £2.5m and has scored 20 goals in 66 Bundesliga matches to prove himself in European football

He also has two goals in 25 international appearances for Japan, and started their World Cup match against Poland

Provided he is granted a permit, Muto will provide attacking competition for the likes of Ayoze Perez and Joselu on Tyneside

Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez also welcomed new signing Fabian Schar to Newcastle on Thursday in a £3

5m deal. The Deportivo La Coruna centre back had his medical on Tyneside on Thursday and has put pen to paper on an initial three-year deal

The 26-year-old said: 'I'm really happy to be here. The club is a really big club for me

It has a big name, and it is a brilliant chance for me.' Meanwhile, Dwight Gayle has held talks with West Brom ahead of his potential loan swap with Salomon Rondon, and goalkeeper Matz Sels has completed his move to Strasbourg

De nachtelijke avonturen van Youri en Peter (Japan editie) - Duration: 9:39.

Soon in Mrpindamovies

Youri, oh no no I'm scared

Peter what is happening to you?!

The nightly adventures of Youri and Peter (Japan edition)

Guys, woah it's really dark

You can't see anything

It's evening

It's time for Youri and Peters nightly adventures

It's 3 AM

We're gonna see if we can find a river

The other guys are staying at home

And we're just going to walk straight ahead until we find something interesting

Yeah, on intuition since we can't use google maps right now because my phone is empty

Hi guys, we found a river, there's a lot of water here

The Rijn (a European river)

Does this map tell us where we are?

No I don't see it anywhere

Where are we going? Shall we just walk that way?

Yeah

We're gonna walk that way, it looks really scary over there to be honest

Oh wait we should walk to the bridge

Let's walk down here

Down here and then that way?

Yeah, past the man who's sitting there

Tututu walking together with Youri

Youri a mosquito just went into my...

Ear

I heard him

You heard him?

Hi guys, we got lost

We walked for a very long time

We just saw a bat and we both jumped

We're walking next to a river thingy, and the city is over there

And somewhere over there is our house

So far away

Hours of walking

We've been walking for so long Youri

It's nice here

There's a lot of bats here

So many bats

They're really close

Youri

(We decided to run away from the bats)

The bat was really close to me

This ain't that much fun anymore

Youri, oh no no no I'm scared

What's wrong Peter

There's a beast

What's wrong?

Bats suck Youri

I can't see the bat

But I can!

They're flying above us

I'm on edge now Youri

I'm on edge when it comes to bats attacking us

My fear level is way higher than the average person when it comes to bats

Peter what is happening to you

A mosquito just touched my leg

I'm really on edge guys

Youri jumped really hard out of fear

That's because you were screaming

You screamed so hard, it was as if a random hand touched your shoulder or something

Wanna walk up these stairs Youri?

Can we please go up here?

There's some stairs over here guys, you guys probably can't see anything tho

Yeah they've probably been seeing a black screen for a while now

But there's some stairs over here

Guys we're near the bridge now

An abandoned road

Even tho there are cars driving over there

We're actually in Amsterdam guys

We never went to Japan

Do you know how much money that would've cost us

We did buy an expensive green screen tho, that's how we've been making all these japan vlogs

It's all just special effects

Yeah for example, sometimes you'll see a lens flare on the screen if I move the camera like this

It's all special effects

Or for example this street lantern

That a street lantern from Amsterdam

Haven't you guys seen the Amsterdam Rijn-kanaal (dutch canal) before?

Yeah, if you guys haven't, this over here is the Amsterdam Rijn-kanaal (dutch canal)

Ignore all the japanese signs and stuff

Is it really a good idea to cross the bridge?

I mean, we already have no idea where we are anymore

We're here without internet connection

If we do find a McDonald's however, and we somehow manage to connect to the wifi there, because that's nearly impossible over here

Then we can find the way home!

I've tried connecting to a public wifi spot here once, but it didn't work

Yeah, same here

You probably have to give your E-mail address again to the owner of the wifi spot to be able to connect, just like when we were in London

I'm still getting spam E-mails from the McDonalds in London

Really nice

But over here it's the case that the public wifi spots don't trust or phone or something

I tried looking it up but it the web-page said that all the certificates were wrong

Yeah, it's all a bit weird outside of Europe

I got this friend in Canada, and she can't send me text messages cause her phone doesn't allow her to send messages to Europe or something

Guys, we're walking across the bridge and I still don't really think that this is a good idea

We're on the other side of the bridge now and we spotted a vending machine

Let's see what they sell

More peanut tea, that's great

This actually looks pretty nice

It looks good but I'm scared that there's a lot of caffeine or sugar inside of it

I can't sleep if I drink that

This drink has some vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is pretty good for you, we talked about that in a livestream recently

With recently I mean 6 months ago

I can't even remember that

One of our first streams

Or maybe literally the first one

What are you gonna buy

What do you wanna buy

Yeah I really wanna try that one as well

Go for it

What the fuck

Nice Youri

What is it

The texture is so weird

Can I try it?

What the fuck?

That texture was so weird

What is that

It's a bit like pudding

I don't know if it's supposed so be like this

It probably is

Yeah look, you can see it on the image

It's gelatin

I wasn't sure if it was expired or not, cause of the weird texture

Hi guys, we got a bit of a problem over here, we just walked down from the bridge, but to do that we had to keep walking in circles

And now we have no idea where we are, we can't even see the river anymore

Yeah I can't see the river anymore

Oh wait, the bridge is over there

Oh yeah

That gelatin drink

So it's a drink with gelatin pudding in it

I thought it was gonna be a nice refreshing drink

But no it's gelatin

Youri is so confused, he doesn't know if he likes it or not

The taste is pretty good, but the texture is so weird

We really have no idea where we are anymore guys

We're gonna walk through some tunnel now, I don't know if this is a good idea

In the middle of a car road

I still kinda have the "I know where we are" feeling

Yeah, I can see some people walking over there as well

I still got the "We're gonna get home" feeling

Was there ever a time when you didn't have that feeling?

No I don't think so

Maybe once really long ago

I once had it, when I went to the beach, and...

Youri we really gotta get out of this tunnel, this was such a stupid idea

We almost got hit by a car

Youri, what is this, there's another bridge over here

Are we gonna walk across this bridge?

Are we gonna follow the train?

Hi guys, Youri says that the map, that we looked at at the start, is over there.

So then we should probably walk this way right?

Okay lets walk this way

Youri gave me his gelatin drink by the way

The taste of the drink is really good

But I don't like the gelatin part

The problem is that all these packages look really colorful, bright and fun

And then you think "Oh hey, this looks pretty good"

But then it turns out to be peanut juice or something like that

Wanna see what that vending machine over there sells?

But yeah, the taste of this drink is pretty good

But you really gotta take your time to drink/eat it all

This would be pretty nice to drink in front of a fireplace

I wish we had a fireplace

I wish we had a fireplace

Then I could burn the house down

Really weird Youri

We found a 7/11 so we're gonna buy some snacks

Hi guys

Welcome, this is the end of the video, did you like the video? Then don't forget to press that like button

Peter and I are gonna sleep

Oh yeah guys, Youri and I arrived home safely
