Life in Lemuria - Akashic Records - Higher Self Info (QHHT session overview) - Duration: 20:06.

Hi, thanks for joining me.

It's a little bit of a different setting today because I'm talking about something a little

different.

This video, I'm talking about a recent session I had and this session brought us back to

Lemuria, which is very cool.

Many of you have heard of Lemuria.

And what's interesting is that I've put this in a transcript and it's up so anyone can

get it and read it, but what I did this time that's different is I added excerpts from

the higher self.

So, with express permission from the client, I published and will be talking about certain

parts that the higher self through with, some information I thought would be very interesting

and valuable.

But for now I just wanted to talk about the Lemuria portion, which was very interesting.

And according to the client or higher self, this is a Lemuria that is pre-recorded, I

suppose... it's what she said was a Lemuria before the Lemuria that we know today.

And what was interesting was, this was also her very first incarnation as a human.

So, as a human being, in her first body, she was much less dense than we are today, much

less dense.

That also made it so the veil between her and, let's say, the spirit realm, or other

dimensions, was much thinner as well.

So, where it's hard for many of us to communicate with other entities, or other realms, for

her, while she was in her waking life, it was much easier.

So, for example, we took her to the place where she lived in that time.

And this place was very interesting.

It had a domed roof and how she -the best way she described it, was after the session

when she could recall it, and what she recalled was basically like, it was living in a giant

acorn.

So, it was like that shape and color, like a giant acorn. And this dwelling was on a cliffside

with many other dwellings of the same sort, and she said it was like a city.

She also called these people that lived there a tribe.

So that was very interesting.

So, we went into her dwelling, and as far as the thinner veil that was back then, I

asked "Is there anyone living with you?" and she said, "Well, not really, but I feel a

presence."

So, this presence turns out to be somebody who is in her soul group, someone that she

reincarnates with over and over again.

This presence was just hanging out with her.

He had decided he didn't want to be a human, but she did.

So they would hang out together in their various forms and she could feel him when he was near,

she could communicate with him, despite him not being in a physical body.

What was very interesting about this too, was while she was eating a meal there, because

in these session we like to see what kind of food is there and what they use to eat

the food...so I'm thinking "Okay, what are we going to get in Lemuria?"

So, it's not about WHAT she ate, which was actually like a puffy dough bread, apparently,

and it sounded delicious, but HOW she got it was even more interesting, because she

basically plucked it out of thin air.

So, that's very important because what we are seeing, and what we're told later by the

higher self- sorry, I keep looking down, my computer is right here, i'll be reading from

it soon- but what we're seeing is that there was such easy, thoughtless, manifestation

and creation going on in this time.

Something that we don't see today, at least not at that level of ease, where "Oh, I'm

hungry, PLUCK, here's a puffy dough bread I'm gonna eat."

You know?

It's very very cool.

So then, we started talking about what do you do during the day...and she's like, Oh

you know some people come visit.

Okay-who are these people?

How do you know-where are they?

Well, they're not here right now.

How do you know when they're here?

I sounds and, almost like music, frequencies, that call to me.To let her that these people

are visiting.

So, skip ahead to meeting these visitors, and they're not human.

They're not human.

They're not part of this tribe she's talking about.

We go to this mountain top where the sounds are coming from- which by the way, the sounds

are not coming from the mountain top, she says they're coming from outer space.

Okay.

So we go to the mountain top and there are beings there.

And these beings are the same beings that are from her home planet.

"Ah, well, where do you come from?"

"The plaiedes."

So, do you miss is?

Well, no I go back in my sleep, so no I don't really miss it.

So she's enjoying her time in her first human body on Earth, and these beings come to her

because they're teaching her certain things.

It's interesting because they're basically reteaching her, because when we reincarnate

as humans, we forget a lot, we forget our connection to source essentially, we have

to relearn it.

So that's what they're teaching her, through symbolism and sacred geometry and light and

energy- it's easier read than what I'm saying right now, but- through that way, they basically

reteach her her connection to source, which was so interesting to hear about.

And then, you know sometimes in these sessions we can release memories, like get rid of memories

that hold us back, so for example, a session I had previously, my client had a fear of

heights, so we had her higher self remove the memory from where it came from, it came

from another past life, and now she can go over bridges up high, no problem.

So it's that kinda thing.

So, during her Lemuria life, we had a memory erased that would help her and so, because

of that she had to go to the restroom, which is a type of release if you think about it,

and then when she came back, we were gone from Lemuria and we were at...the Emerald

City.

Okay, so we're in the Wizard of Oz now, right?

No.

She she's at the emerald city, it's emerald because of the color and it looks like a crystal

palace, very beautiful.

This is where her akashic records are kept.

So we go in, and we are looking around- rooting around for her contract that she made in this

life, because we all have contracts in this life.

And she gets help from her friend, Jesus.

So, he shows up and he helps her...

And between that, with him there, we get to the higher self.

It's an unusual way- this whole session happened in a non-typical way, but that's the fun of

it, I like that kind of thing, so we connected with her higher self.

And her higher self came through with very interesting information.

So I'm going to start reading some stuff.

So when we connect with the higher self, we always ask, you know, "Why did we go to that

past life in particular?"

Okay.

Now we're asking "Why did she go back to Lemuria?"

And the higher self comes through and talks about the joy of playfulness and creating.

It's very important because this client had an illness, and sometimes the higher self

will help heal the illness immediately, which is amazing.

In this case, she was shown this life in Lemuria because she is meant to go through a process,

and this process has to do with bringing more joy into her life.

For herself.

And not having something just magically take away an illness, this is about a process.

And we're all here living our lives because we are here for the experience, we are here

for a reason, we have contracts, we have missions, and some of these missions have to do with

our own self, going through processes, learning how to control our minds, our thoughts.

And for her, it's about bringing joyfulness, playfulness, and the joy of creating, back

into her life.

She's an artist- she knows what that feels like.

And so that was part of the reason why she was brought to Lemuria, was to not just remember

the joy and playfulness, but also to touch base with her original body and to remember

the joys of the flesh, being joyful in the body.

Just being human.

And remembering that.

The higher self said that this will actually have a self-healing affect, which is very

cool, and also it said it's alive like it is right no with her here.

Meaning, what it went into, was how there's no past, no future, just present.

So, realize that all of the lives that we ever lived are happening right now, and it's

a very odd concept.

And it's also something the higher self said that mind cannot grasp, meaning we can't intellectually

understand it, we have to feel it, it's a heart-knowing.

We have to feel it.

Feel the knowledge.

Feel that truth.

And she needs to realize that life she was living in Lemuria with that body that was

perfect because there was no drama or illness or anything weighing her down like there is

today for everybody in the world we live in today.

It was a much less dense existence back then.

So, it's saying, tap into that body that's still in existence, because there is no time,

so it's still in existence.

Tap into that original body, where the body was just purely joyful ad felt the joys of

the flesh, rather than being weighed down with illnesses.

And you will be able to self-heal.

A very cool concept.

And I also think it's very important for people who are interested in this kind of thing because

our minds are so powerful, you do have the power to change things just with your mind.

SO then, we go into a topic on food, which is interesting.

I know everybody is interested in what's right to eat, and what's healthy, and what's healthy,

and what do we not eat?

You know, just like, so much stuff about food.

First it talked about how this client is not in harmony with certain colors of food.

So colors have a vibration, a frequency.

And this client was not in harmony with the color red.So she needs to stop eating red.

When she stops eating red, she'll notice significant differences, and I thought this was very interesting,

especially if this pertains to other people as well.

Maybe not everybody, but other people might benefit from trying a color diet.

We've heard of a color diet.

I know there's something out there about a color diet, but on a little bit of a deeper

level, it's about the vibration of the color being in harmony with your body, with your

Self.

So, you might want to- I don't know...do a-because I've thought about trying this after I heard

this- was do a week long food journal where you just eat, or you focus on eating, specific

colors for certain days or weeks, and see if your body responds in a certain way.

Might be interesting to some people out there that are interested in food and health.

Then the higher self says "it's not the food, but it's the emotions in the mind that is

the toxic problems of all bodies."

And what I thought about that was how we're just always told 'Oh, there's so much trans

fat, and sodium, and cholesterol, and this is bad for you, and this is bad for you' it's

like, we've lost the joy of simply eating.

That's s shame.

Wouldn't it be nice if we just kind of were able to regain the joy of eating without so

much worry and emotions put into it.

It was interesting that higher self was saying this- there was also something about blessing

the food.

So a lot of you have heard about blessing your water and blessing food, and it did stress

the importance of this and also, another session I had after this stressed the importance of

blessing your food.

Again, power of the mind, right?

So, you can bless your food and take away the toxins in that way, but it takes practice,

so just something to look into.

And interesting concept.

Then, we are going to Health.

So we talk a little bit about health and it's not so much about Health, it was her illnesses

and certain things she was going through, like she had a migraine earlier in the day

and certain things were bothering her, and her higher self said, "stop labeling it 'pain'and

go with everything she feels".

So it was saying, she needs to stop labeling pain "pain", because we label things "pain"

and it then it's a bad thing and it's something we have to get rid of, and it should be here,

but, if you think about it, we are experiencing it for a reason.

So, it's almost like shifting your focus, shifting your mindset to stop thinking of

it as pain- like, if you were to erase that word from your vocabulary, what would you

label it as- or maybe even don't label it.

It's more like "Hmm, why is this experience happening in my body?"

Because we've learned that physical discomforts, illness, diseases, whatever, are manifestations

of emotional unrest or disrupt, so that was just very interesting to me.

It was kind of like a reminder, like "stop labeling it pain."

It was really cool- so this woman comes in, like mucus-y and BLEHHH and all this stuff,

and phlegm, and sneezy and you know-allergies.

It's allergy season!

Hello Spring!

She was really feelin' it.

And it's always a little nerve-wracking for me when this happens because when I get a

client who starts off with all this stuff going on, or a migraine or something, I'm

just like "Ah, how are they going to rest enough to get into a nice place in their mind

where we can just get nice and deep and relaxed..."

But we did.

And it was wonderful because we got in touch with the higher self, the higher self was

like, "she doesn't need these allergies, let's take these away."

So, she got rid of her allergies, and it was so great because, not only was she breathing

clearly and fully - it was so nice, and you can just tell she was a happy camper, but

what was really nice was that she worried she would have to leave her home- her home

state because of the, you know, trees and types of stuff- pollen and such.

But she doesn't, she doesn't have to move now, her allergies are gone.

So that was really awesome to witness.

And it's so nice, because like, there's a lot of internal healing that does go on in

these sessions, but when it's something so obvious like that, it's such a treat- at least

for me to watch and see, it's like "wow!

This is happening before my eyes!

It's gone!"

It's very cool.

So, then we talked a bit about ETs and other entities like angels.

Implants.

Sacred geometry.

So, at one point, we do get in touch with an ET race, and the message that comes through

is "we're on a different dimension, but we've been here.

Now the veils are getting thinner."

So, that is lovely because the ones that came through introduced themselves as guardians

and as angelic aliens, which is really lovely- they're protective of us, which is nice.

So, there was also a message in there- and there's so much more in the transcript, I

just didn't want go over it all, because I don't like making super long videos, but I

just thought this was important, so I took little pieces that were important.

So, apparently, you've heard of an "event", so there's "THE Event" that's coming, and

we touched on it slightly, there's something like would occur also- so it might be the

event, or it might be something- it's like an ongoing event that kind of came up, it

was kind of weird, there was no label to it, but it was just talked about.

And what they said was "It's time for the lightworkers to do their work and be open

for seeing the good in these changes and not to be fearful".

So that's a message for the lightworkers out there, for us to not be fearful because we'll

be helping people who are more fear based come out of that.

So we need to stay out of that.

Then I have a section that's just a bunch of miscellaneous stuff.

Like, there's a note on the pyramids on how they were placed.

Some notes on starseeds, the alchemy of the starseed body, and light bodies. How the light

body is not outside of us, but within us, and it's always been there since our original

human incarnation.

So, that's an interesting note.

More on Time.

You know, present, past, future kind of thing.

And then I just want to end with this chunk here, this quote I wanted to read directly

because, some things that came through were just really poetic, and I just wanted to read

this.

It was talking about a year.

So, there was a year that occurred recently and a lot of stuff happened to her, and she

was like "Why is all this stuff happening?"

There was a lot.

So, we asked, "Why-what was the significance of this year?"

And it said "That was a time when certain alignments were in the skies, in the heavens,

and the Earth's skin was thin.

And so, the wisdom of the Earth was able to come up and penetrate everybody.

It started in the heavens but it came up through the Earth.

It was a sacred marriage going on that was a good change for less destruction to come."

And that was also- there was a something else mentioned how there are times of destruction

that we hear are coming up, or things are going to happen, and it did say that this

can be changed through harmonious, peaceful massive mindsets.

So again, it's like, look to peace, look to harmony.

Okay?

So that was interesting.

Anyway, so there you go.

That's some insight into the Lemuria session I just had and I did write a transcript- it's

up on amazon and my etsy shop and all that good stuff.

Links will be in the thingy below.

But otherwise, if you've stayed this long, thanks for staying and listening to this.

It was really fascinating, the client herself was quite fascinating.

SO I hope you enjoyed that and I'll be back with more soon.

I hope you guys are having a really great Spring, and not having terrible terrible allergies.

And I love you all and talk to you later!

Bye!

Karatepraxis - Self Defense Seminar Footage Feb' 18 - Duration: 8:46.

First we had a straight punch, were we left the line of attack

with a fast block, with the first limb that is nearest

fast attack with the same arm then follow up

Destroy the stance and control him

and move away from the danger

Then we had a round punch. Interrupt directly with both arms

... then we had our little Heian Nidan sequence

Again destroy his stance

and move away

Then we looked at what to do when he is constantly hitting

I recognized what is happening way to late.

Protect my head and try to come from underneath to control him

... destroy the stance and move away

Then we had a front kick

... again leave the line of attack and use what is near to protect

When usings arms we are a little bit faster, but our head is not protected all the time

... fast attack, destoy the stance and move away.

We can use a Gedan Barai as well, instead of the Nagashi Uke

... again destroy the stance and move away.

If we use our legs to protect us, we can use our hands to protect the head

Use a shin block - Sune Uke

... fast counter attack and destroy the stance and control him and move away again.

The same block can be used, if he attacks with his front leg

And of course, when he attacks with a round kick, we can use the same sequence.

Then we had round kicks that are executed to the mid section

Here it is more difficult for me to get my leg high enough

Therefore we just close our guard

and try to execute our counter attacks again.

Or we try to use Gedan Barai to redirect the leg

and then attack from behind.

A variation of the Gedan Barai - we try to catch the leg

... redirect and attack the other leg.

This is very difficult and needs good timing.

But the important part was to close the guard...

That were the topics we covered regarding punches and kicks

After that, we had the ground techniques...

He pushes and we cannot stand upright.

We try to use our figure 4 to get to the ground.

Role over the muscles not the spine!

Immediately come up and bring your guard up

Use your hand to navigate and push

Idially I want to have my legs between him and my head

So that I can kick his legs

Or even kick high

and try to get up quickly

Pull your leg out. We called it the surfer.

Or a good combination with the high kick

Get into a figure 4 and like a sprinter on a starting block...

If we were not able to get our legs between us

he was able to get to my side

and is very close

we want to get our legs, with the shins, between us

to get more distance to my head

Here we had the Shrimp for the first time

and then we need to move back immediately for the distance

Now we are back again to the kicks to the shin

But if he did not just run to my side, but wants to kick

We want to use our shin and arm, like in Enpi Kata, to protect the side

Always move with him

If he kicks top to bottom, we use a Gedan Barai

Two arms to block twice

If we see his butt, we kick with a fully extended leg

You will always hit something good

Grab his calfs and use the Shrimp again

Get back to your back and kick

Stand up as learned before

The alternative - if he kicks from the side

and we can see his face after the kick from the top

Here it makes no sense to kick with the straight leg

But we have a perfect position to hit him in the groin

If he is able to stand upright after this, grab his shins

The Shrimp again, get to your back and kick

If he falls down after I hit him in the groin

He has multiple options - maybe he punches

Important: Bring your head up and close your guard

It is the same concept as standing upright and he was constantly hitting

You need to MOVE all the time

In order to get control over the situation, I want him to be as near as possible

So he is hitting and I try to pull him in

Now we try to get his supporting arm and leg

It is not always possible to get the leg, but we need to try

Then we need to get the hips up

and roll over to the side, where we got his supporting arm and leg

Try to bring your head as near as possible, so that he can not hit you

I always push his head to the side, so that he cannot see

Hit him in the groin, get a leg and move out

Bring all your weight on his body and stand up like you would do a push up

Then we said that he might choke me instead of hitting

If he chokes me, we had our Bassai Dai movement

Pull his arms to the side, hit him to the ribs

and pull him in

Now you can try to get one of his legs and arms again

and then we have the Tzuki

and now we have the same position as before

Take his view, stay near, hit him, move out and do the push up

Then we had him not on top but to the side choking...

This is a very strong position for him

First, we need to clear the airways

and we have the Shrimp again

I try to get my butt in, get to my back and bring my leg to his belly

Hold his arm, so that he cannot get away

You could kick with your heel

and then try to push him back

and of course get up as before

Self Defense Basics: Lesson 1 - Make Yourself Comfortable! - Duration: 13:07.

Hey.

Ando here from Happy Life Martial Arts.

Welcome to the first lesson in your Self-Defense Basics Course.

Now, I know you might think the first lesson should be back there hitting the bags, but

let me tell you a little secret about the martial arts— the physical fighting techniques

are actually the easiest part.

I mean, you already know how to hurt somebody, don't you?

Even if you didn't, you have a body.

Take a few minutes and go explore yourself and I'm pretty sure you'll figure out all

kinds of ways to cause pain and damage to another human being.

But hold on--we're getting way ahead of ourselves here.

Before we talk about how to fight off bad guys, we should figure out

how to avoid bad guys.

Preventing danger is the first and most effective strategy in self-defense.

That's why almost every self-defense course begins with the tried and true advice to pay

attention to your surroundings.

But you're smart.

You don't need me to tell you that walking alone at night in a bad part of town, counting

your cash on the way to the liquor store, so you can buy booze and go drink in the park

until you black out is risky behavior.

But what may be less obvious is that staying at home behind locked doors with an abusive

friend or partner is also risky behavior.

So, how can a smart person like you do an even better job of preventing trouble and

avoiding danger?

Answer—by not just paying attention to your surroundings, but paying attention to how

people treat you and how you feel.

If you find yourself in a place or with a person that makes you feel nervous and tense,

my advice--make yourself comfortable.

No, I don't mean on the couch, all alone, with your favorite blank.

I mean everywhere and with everyone.

That's not so easy.

As you know, the world can be a stressful place.

And let's be honest—some of that stress may be good for you.

Stress can make you stronger and motivate you to work harder.

But some of that stress you feel is actually an alarm.

Your body is wired to warn you when it senses trouble.

The question is—are you listening?

When your breath shortens, when your heart speeds up, when your chest tightens, when

you hear that little voice inside your head say, "Hey, something is wrong here," that

is your body telling you that you're facing a threat on some level to your health, happiness,

and safety.

When that alarm goes off, either because you're in a place that makes you uncomfortable or

with a person that makes you uncomfortable, you must make it a habit to do or say something

to get your comfort back.

Don't second-guess yourself.

Don't hesitate.

Turn your intuition into action.

This is a crucial principle in self-defense, so I'm going to say it again—the longer

you wait to make yourself comfortable, the more pain and danger you're going to experience.

That's true for toothaches, insults, or punches to the face.

The moment you sense something is wrong, the second you feel trouble brewing, that's

the time to make your move.

Take a minute to think about where you spend your time.

Where do you live?

Where do you work?

Where do you park your car?

Where do you sit in a movie theater?

Do you really want to get on the elevator with those guys?

Is this house party getting out of control?

What are they doing with that goat?

As a rule, don't put yourself in positions where you feel vulnerable.

Cross the street, stand up, move your chair, leave the room—do whatever you have to do,

but always place yourself in a position of power.

Now, think about how people treat you.

Do your friends value your time?

Does your partner respect your feelings?

Do your co-workers appreciate your efforts?

Does someone in your family keep sticking their thumb in your pie?

Look—if someone is ignoring your feelings, or shouting down your opinion, or bullying

you in any way, end that relationship.

You can walk away from a bad relationship as fast as you can run out of a burning building.

If you don't, then you are allowing yourself to feel uncomfortable.

Feeling uncomfortable then becomes normal for you.

And that's dangerous.

Because if somebody suddenly slaps you, or threatens your life, or pulls out a weapon,

you won't have the tools to stop them.

You've not only trained everyone in your life to treat you badly, you've trained yourself

to do nothing about it.

You must believe this—whatever you allow into your life, you'll usually get more of it.

If you let people insult you, then bad guys will find you and insult you.

If you let people hurt you, then bad guys will find you and hurt you.

If you keep putting yourself in positions where you feel weak and helpless, then you

will become weak and helpless.

But it doesn't have to be that way.

You can change it.

Every time you position yourself to feel strong and capable, every time you say something

to let people know that you will not be disrespected, believe it or not, you are also preparing

yourself for more serious threats to your safety.

Start right now.

Train yourself to take control of high-risk situations by taking control of low-risk situations.

It took me a long time to figure this out, but everything you do—and I mean everything--is

either building a habit that will improve your health, happiness, and safety or is building

a habit to damage your health, happiness, and safety.

Like any muscle, decisive action and strong words must be exercised regularly.

Of course, it's easy talk about taking action and standing up for yourself, doing it is

something else.

That's because there's a problem here.

The problem is you, my friend, are a good, kind-hearted person and good, kind-hearted

people don't want to make trouble.

They don't want to make anybody else feel uncomfortable—even if they're being hurt.

But let me ask you— why is it okay for someone to make you feel uncomfortable, but it's

not okay for you to make that person feel uncomfortable?

Why is it okay for someone to cause you pain, but it's not okay for you to cause that

person pain?

Look—just because you're kind and patient doesn't mean you should put someone else's

feelings ahead of yours.

It's the opposite.

If someone is making you feel uncomfortable and you tell them that they are making you

uncomfortable, they SHOULD feel uncomfortable.

Here's why—

Bad guys know they make you feel uncomfortable.

Bad guys know that you won't speak up for yourself.

Bad guys know that you would rather suffer silently than do or say anything to make things

feel awkward.

In fact, they count on it!

Bad guys need you to do and say nothing so they can get what they want.

That's how they win.

Otherwise, they wouldn't waste their time on you.

But you can put a stop to all of that.

Here's a simple drill that I think can help.

Find a mirror.

No, not just to fix your hair, but to practice speaking up for yourself.

I know.

It's going to feel weird at first, staring at yourself in the mirror, but think about

it —if you can't express your feelings to yourself when you're alone and there's

no pressure, then you probably won't be able to to express your feelings to a bad

guy when the pressure is high, either.

So, practice this.

Face the mirror with your whole body, look yourself in the eye, and say, "That's

not okay with me.

I want you to stop that right now.

Back up.

Put your thumb in my pie and I'll put my thumb in your eye."

You get the idea.

Now if you see yourself blinking too much, or looking away, or tipping your head, or

giggling, that's okay. just try again.

Practice until you feel the power behind your words.

Because if you don't believe what you're saying, well, then nobody else will either.

I recommend practicing in the mirror every time you brush your teeth.

It's funny how we all find time every day to fight off cavities, but we don't find

time every day to practice fighting off bad guys.

So, put down the brush, take a breath, and say what you need to say.

One important detail here—when you tell someone how you feel, when you speak up for

yourself, the other person may argue, but they may also say nothing at all.

You might suddenly find yourself trapped in an awkward moment of silence.

Good job!

Don't forget – the bad guys are trapped in that same awkward moment with you.

You surprised them.

You didn't act the way they expected you to.

So, don't be in a hurry to fill in that silence.

And don't apologize.

Definitely don't apologize!

You didn't do anything wrong, they did.

Apologizing is just like pulling a punch back—it takes all away the impact.

Instead, stand strong and let your words sink in.

If you have to repeat yourself, then say it again.

I know it may seem a little odd to connect how you use your words with how you use your

fists, but really, they're just different expressions of the same motives and emotions.

Which means, if you can't defend yourself with your words when someone is insulting

you to your face, how do you think you're going to be able to defend yourself with your

fists when someone is punching you in the face?

How can you speak up if you always practice being silent?

How can you take action if you always practice doing nothing?

How can you make yourself comfortable if you always let people make you uncomfortable?

Make a pledge to yourself to be on guard against anyone who doesn't care about your comfort.

Train everyone to understand what's okay and what's not okay when they deal with you.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying that every time someone offends you that you should scream

in their face or smash them over their head with your laptop.

You may choose to do nothing.

You may choose to say nothing.

You may choose to just walk away and move on with your life.

But that should be a choice, not a habit.

As a fully empowered human being, you should never feel that you only have one option,

meaning you always walk away or you always fight back.

If you're watching this video, the odds are that you're a nice person.

That means you don't have to practice being kind, and patient, and understanding—I'll

bet you've already mastered those choices.

What you need to work on is putting yourself in strong positions and speaking up for yourself

to let people know how you expect to be treated.

All right.

Let me wrap this up.

By now, you should know that self-defense is a lot more than just putting on workout

clothes and hitting the bag for an hour.

Self-defense is a psychological and emotional journey.

It's a slow process of building up an arsenal of empowering behavioral habits.

If you truly want to maximize your safety all day, every day, then you need to practice

good self-defense habits all day, every day.

Practice turning your intuition into action.

Make yourself as comfortable as you can, as quickly as you can, as often as you can.

If you do that, I promise you--you will be headed towards a healthier, happier, and safer life.

Wait!

One more thought.

The real test of self-defense is not a body count, it's a smile.

I believe a smile is your greatest self-defense weapon.

Wherever you go, whoever you're with, whatever you're doing, can you find a smile?

If you're tense, if you're nervous, if you're anxious, your body is telling you

that something is wrong, which means you are not in the optimal state to solve your problems

and achieve your goals.

And that's true whether you're dealing with your boss, your family, or a killer.

But when you turn your intuition into action, when you make yourself comfortable, that's

when you'll be relaxed, clear-headed, and at the top of your game.

That's when you'll have the best chance of surviving and thriving.

So, say what you need to say and do what you need to do until you can find your smile.

And once you find it, don't let any place, anything, or anyone take it from you.

I'll see you again in Lesson #2.

Until then, let your smile be your shield and your sword.

Keep fighting for a happy life.

Self Defense Basics Course - Welcome! - Duration: 4:43.

Howdy.

Ando here from Happy Life Martial Arts.

I believe that all good people—every man, woman, and child—should have some training

in basic self-defense.

It's crazy that we learn how to read and write, but we don't learn how to speak up

for ourselves.

We learn how to take care of our body through diet and exercise, but we don't learn how

to protect that body from being punched, kicked, or pushed around.

We learn how to stay out of trouble, but we don't learn how to stand up and fight for

what's right.

As a result, even though there are far more good people in the world than bad people,

the bad guys keep finding ways to win.

What's really crazy is that almost everyone I meet says they want to take a self-defense

course, they know they should take a self-defense course, they want their family and friends

to take a self-defense course... but then they don't.

I don't have time, I don't have money, I don't know where to go, I'm afraid I'll

get hurt… oy.

Look, I hear you and I understand.

But enough is enough.

No more excuses.

The fact is the bad guys are out there getting what they want out of life and so should you.

So, if you're a good, kind-hearted person, the time to start your training is now.

Let's make this easy.

I put together a series of 10 basic self-defense lessons to help get you started.

Even if you just watch even one of these videos, hey—that's better than nothing.

I truly believe that even a little martial arts makes life a whole lot better.

Now, I'll tell you right up front--there's nothing fancy here.

Basic self-defense is not what you see in the movies or in the ring or cage.

Unless you devote your life to becoming a stuntman or a professional fighter, flying

kicks and flying triangle chokes probably won't work for you.

Instead, I'm just going to share some simple concepts and movements that you can use right

now.

That's right.

You don't need to be a black belt to defend yourself.

The truth is that there's a lot more to self-defense than just learning how to palm

heel a bad guy in the nose or knee them in the groin... although those are great moves.

Real self-defense is a lifestyle.

It's how you live every moment of every day.

That's why when people ask me, "Hey, have you ever had to use your martial arts in real life?"

I say, "Yeah.

I use them every day.

As a matter of fact, I'm using them right now."

The way you stand, the way you breathe, the way you speak to people, the way you let people

speak to you—that's all part of the self-defense project.

So, if you're only interested in punching and kicking, these videos will probably bore you.

But if you're interested in powering up your life the way martial arts powered up

my life, then I think these videos will be pretty valuable.

Of course, if you want to learn more about punching and kicking, we can

talk about that later.

I just think there are some more important issues to discuss first.

You don't have to agree with that.

Seriously—my way is not the only way.

That's what makes martial arts art.

I'm just passing on what I was lucky enough to have passed to me.

Take it or leave it.

I should also tell you that you can't learn everything about self-defense from videos.

At some point, it will be very helpful to have a partner or even a whole class to train with.

If these videos start you off in that direction, I'll die a happy man.

But for now, consider this—there are two goals in martial arts training.

The first goal is to control yourself.

Your thoughts, your emotions, your body.

The second goal is controlling somebody else.

Specifically, a bad guy.

A bad guy who is trying to control you and take away your confidence and comfort.

So, for now, don't worry about sparring with a partner, let's focus on sparring

with yourself.

That's a powerful first step.

Oh, and in case it's not clear, I'm not asking you to buy anything here.

All I ask is that if you find value in one of these lessons, you share it with someone

you care about.

Good people helping other good people… that's how we can both make this world a better place.

All right.

Enough blabbity blah.

Welcome to Self-Defense Basics.

I'll see you in video #1.

Until then, keep fighting for a happy life.

Transformational Tip #8: Self-Doubt - Duration: 3:58.

Hello Good Morning this is Lovina Akowuah Author of this highly acclaimed book

Unleash your Greatness, Motivational Speaker and your Transformational Coach.

In this Episode, I get to share with you one transformational tip that should

hopefully help you throughout the week. OVERCOMING SELF-DOUBT!! Let me start by

defining what self-doubt is. In short it is the lack of confidence in oneself in

one's abilities. Essentially on your journey to greatness we need to get to a

place where we have developed what we call self- esteem. Self-esteem can be

defined as someone who has a decent opinion of self without modesty. One who

sees self as good person, hard-working reliable, honest ,friendly and able to

like and love him or herself for who they are. Getting to this state of mind does

not mean that self-doubt will never crop up again. The key is to be vigilant and

be prepared to deal with doubt when it crops up. Here are five ways you can do

that #1 GROUND YOURSELF! if you find yourself being pulled into negative

thoughts stemming from past experiences or comments from others same present is

key to being able to focus on the positive #2 BALANCE THE NEGATIVE!

If you find those voices appearing and they start to get way too loud in your

head drown them out with your own chance of self praise this is where your

personal affirmations come in start reciting them until you're able to get

rid of that voice #3 TAKE A BREAK! If you're feeling overwhelmed by

what you perceive as not going so well take some time away from the project and

focus on something totally different sometimes shifting our focus away from

what we are stuck on helps us to take a new perspective when we come back to it

#4 NURTURE YOURSELF!! I've talked about loving yourself a while back it's

easy to get lost in the sea of self-doubt when we forget to take care

of our own needs so make sure you have enough play time be sure to stay

hydrated and plenty of water throughout the week get enough sleep and eat

healthy most importantly love you. Lastly #5 CONNECT WITH OTHERS!!

While it is important to strengthen yourself love muscles it is just as

important to get the support you need from others the people that you consider

to be your accountability partner whether this is from friends family or

professional therapists or coach getting reassurance or help from others can make

a big difference in your life. I believe in you!! Have a fantastic week

PDP reacts to TY Danjuma's call for self defence - Duration: 4:39.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday, March 25, reacted to the call former Minister of Defence, Lt. Gen.Theophilus Danjuma(retd.) for Taraba state indigenes and Nigerians as a whole to take up arms and defenn against herdsmen attacks.

Danjuma had earlier said the Nigerian Army Forces is biased in defending the masses and urged Nigerians to take up self defence while speaking at the maiden convocation of the Taraba State University.

The Punch reports that the PDP, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, said Danjuma's statement had justified its stand that the Buhari Presidency and the APC must be held responsible for the agonising state of the nation.

The opposition party said the fact that communities were resorting to self-defence was a clear demonstration that Nigerians across board "have completely lost confidence in President Buhari and the APC.

Ologbondiyan said: "It is instructive to recall that former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibrahim Babangida – both former military leaders, army generals and patriots – had earlier raised the issue of continuous bloodletting in our country under the APC and the Buhari presidency.

"Painfully, the APC-controlled federal government has not only failed in finding a solution, it is also contending with allegations of conspiracy and acts that are believed to have emboldened attacks against innocent Nigerians. "Nigerians are no longer feeling secure in their land.

Our country has, in close to three years, assumed a status of killing fields where defenceless citizens are despoiled and mowed down by insurgents and marauders in Benue, Taraba, Yobe, Gombe, Kaduna, Adamawa, Borno, Plateau, Nasarawa, Rivers, Enugu, Kogi, among other states..

He lamented that the federal government is not doing much to curb the spate of violence in the country. He said: "Unfortunately, the federal government remains aloof and has failed to take decisive steps that will apprehend the masterminds of the carnage.

"More intriguing is that the Presidency and the APC federal government have refused to clear the air on their roles in the alleged compromise of security in troubled areas, particularly the reported withdrawal of troops from Dapchi prior to the abduction of the schoolgirls.

"Nigerians have also yet to see the action taken by President Buhari against the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, for flouting a presidential order that he should relocate to troubled Benue state in the heat of attacks on the state.

"Similarly, the strange silence of the federal government on the alleged importation of military equipment by APC interests in Kogi state remains ominous.

"The fact that we now have a situation where the government confesses to back-channel negotiations with insurgents, hasty offering of amnesty to marauders and killers, allegations of round-tripping in billions of naira on alleged shady ransom payments and swap deals with insurgents, also leaves much to be desired under the current circumstances.

"While we restate our call for a United Nations' monitored independent inquest into the security situation in our country, we stand with Nigerians in our moment of national despair.

we earlier reported that the Senator representing Bayelsa east federal constituency, Ben Murray-Bruce has called on the federal government to heed to the call of a former chief of army staff, Theophilus Danjuma on the killings in Taraba state and its environs.

Murray-Bruce describing Danjuma as a patriot said only a few Nigerians can match Danjumas contribution to the country.

Tax Deductions You Can Claim If You're Self Employed - Duration: 5:08.

Hey everyone its Janine here and today i'm here to talk to you about what you

can claim if you are self-employed for tax purposes. A lot of people have a side

hussle or part-time business income or are completely self-employed and are

confused as to what they're able to claim on their tax return when it comes

time to file. I'm here to help you make sure you get the maximum amount of

deductions that you can take while still staying on the right side of the law.

First you're going to want to make sure that you're filling out the

self-employed schedule and this is found in your tax return on Schedule 2125 in

this schedule you'll be able to fill out all of the income that you earned during

the year and this is incredibly important you need to make sure that

you're claiming all of it and you need to make sure that you have

record of all of the revenue that has come into your business. So sending

invoices is a good habit to get into. As you scroll down you'll see that you hit

the expenses section and this is the area that you want to include all of the

expenses that you incurred as a business owner in order to make income. It's

important to note these expenses do have to be incurred to make business income

and you can't just include personal expenses in here. So if you are spending

advertising dollars or dollars on employees or supplies these would all go

in this category and there's a complete list on this form that CRA has provided

and I'll provide the link below in the comment section. Meals and

entertainment is always a section that we get a lot of questions on so I

wanted to take a minute to address that. Meals and entertainment can be included

on your tax return but only fifty percent is deductible. In addition to

this these expenses do have to be incurred for business purposes so if

you're going for lunch with a girlfriend and you have a self-employed business

unfortunately this is something that you're not going to be able to in

on your tax return. CRA is always looking at a reasonableness test and so if it

wasn't incurred to earn any business income if you're going out for lunch

with your mom or a friend and grab me a glass of wine that probably isn't an

appropriate business expense. That being said if you're actually on a lunch with

someone that you do business with, fifty percent of it will be deductible. Home

Office is an area that we get a lot of questions about and the home office is

partially deductible if you spend more than 50% of your time in your home

office to earn business income. If you meet this test then you'll need to

calculate what portion of your home you use to earn that business income in your

office. Sso the best way to do this is to actually measure the square footage of

your house and then calculating square footage as a percentage of the room or

space that you use again CRA is going to look at a reasonableness test and so

if you're including 90 percent of your home that probably isn't appropriate and

this applies to things like cell phones as well. No one ever uses a hundred

percent of their cell phone for business and so if they're paying for your cell

phone out of pocket you're going to want to prorate that as a portion of business

and personal expenses. The last area that we get a lot of questions about is the

vehicle expense and this is again going to be a portion for business and a

portion for personal. There is a schedule on your tax return that will

allow you to calculate this amount and it's really important that you're

writing down your kilometer logs that you use your vehicle for earning

business income versus the kilometers that are driven for personnel. Another

way to do this as opposed to a pen and paper is through an app and I'll link a

couple options in the comment section below.

At the end of the day CRA again coming back to that reasonableness test

and wants to make sure that taxpayers aren't taking too many deductions. If you

have the receipts to back up your claims and the amounts that you're claiming seem

reasonable such as maybe 50% of your phone or 20% of your home as home office

then likely things are going to be a-ok if CRA ever looks into you. It's

really when you push the boundaries and try to claim as much as you possibly can

that you can get in trouble and we really do want to avoid that because it

can be an incredible headache for the taxpayer having to prove out every line

of their tax return. If you enjoyed this video please give it a thumbs up and

subscribe to my channel and if you have any questions about what you can claim

as a self-employed person please leave them in the comment section below! I'll

see you next week!

Regain Your Self-Confidence With Dental Implants - Duration: 1:01.

Missing teeth is a very common problem among adults in the United States.

Dental implants are not only the longest-lasting type of tooth replacement, they're also

very durable, effective, and life-like.

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root.

It replaces the missing natural root – which is the portion of the tooth lying beneath

your gum.

A dental crown, dental bridge, or implant supported denture is then affixed to the abutment

of the dental implant to replace the upper, visible portion of the tooth.

The success rate for dental implants is very high and it's rare for an implant to be

rejected.

Dental implants can give you back both an attractive smile and a healthy, comfortable

bite.

So, let experienced implants dentist, Dr. Donald Wilcox, help you regain your self-confidence.

To find out if you're a candidate for dental implants, please call our experienced staff

at Desert Smiles in Glendale.

How to Make a Self-Designed, Self-Sustainable Terrarium [CC] - Duration: 4:25.

How to make a self-designed and self-sustainable terrarium.

Step 1: Aquire Materials.

You will need potting soil, moss, activated charcoal (which you can find at your local

pet store), pebbles, a glass container, paper towels, a container to hold water, 2-3 different

colors of nail polish (note: the darker the nail polish, the better), and small plants.

Unnecessary materials include twigs or sticks for decorating.

Step 2: Getting Ready to Marble.

Prepare your materials for the glass container marbling.

Make sure you have a deep container filled half way with water.

Step 3: Using the Nail Polish.

Once you have filled the container with water, pour 2-3 drops of nail polish in, each color

in the center of the other.

Note: the darker the nail polish, the better.

Lighter colors will not appear on the container as well.

Step 4: Start to Marble.

You can now begin the marbling process.

Take your jar or bowl and sink the bottom of it in the nail polish.

The nail polish should stick to the glass when you sink the container into it.

When you see the nail polish stick to the container, gently pull the container out of

the water.

Note: sometimes it is difficult to get this on the first try.

There is no specific way to do this correct on the first try.

You just have to keep trying until it works.

Also, make sure the container you are using has a big enough opening for you to create your terrarium in later.

Step 5: Let the Container Dry.

After you have pulled the jar out of the water and nail polish, place the container upside

down on a paper towel to dry.

You can place it next to an open window or fan to speed up the drying process.

The container should take no more than 5-10 minutes to dry.

Step 6: Start Making Your Terrarium.

You can now begin making the terrarium.

First start by covering the bottom of the jar with pebbles.

Step 7: Using the Activated Charcoal.

Next, pour 2-3 tablespoons of activated charcoal on top of the pebbles.

Activated charcoal will filter and purify the water trapped in the jar, allowing it

to create an ecosystem.

Note: you can find activated charcoal at your local pet store.

Step 8: Using the Moss.

Place a thin layer of moss on top of the activated charcoal.

The moss will hold water and give nutrients to the plant.

Step 9: Using the Soil.

Add 1 cup of soil on top of the moss.

This is so the plan will be able to root itself in the soil.

Step 10: Preparing to Plant.

Make a small hole in the soil to place the roots of the plant in.

Step 11: Planting.

You can now place the plant in the hole you made in the soil.

Make sure that you pat the roots into the soil.

If needed, add more soil so the roots are completely covered.

Step 12: Decorating. You can now begin to decorate your terrarium.

You can place pebbles, twigs, or other decorative pieces in your terrarium.

Step 13: Watering.

Water the plant.

This will give the plant nutrients it needs to sustain itself.

Note: the amount of water you use should be based off the type of plant.

In this case, the succulent plant in the video does not need much water.

Step 14: All Done!

Congratulations!

You have just completed a self-designed, self-sustainable terrarium.

Thank you for watching!
