- Hey it's Rebecca here with this week's
60 Second Blister Tip and today it's all about
how long it takes for blisters to fill with fluid
because it doesn't happen straightaway.
And I remember at a running race I was at,
it was an ultramarathon where someone
finished their ultramarathon and had no blisters
and then took their shoes off and about an hour later
found a couple of blisters on her foot.
This was really odd.
Well, it was odd to her but not so odd to me.
The reason for this is it can take up to two hours
for a blister to fill with fluid.
So the blister was probably caused
towards the end of the race
and didn't actually have time to fill
at the point that the shoe came off but later on filled.
So that was a bit of a curly one
and that's what it was all about.
(upbeat music)
