today we're gonna be answering a question that a lot of you guys have for us!
how do we edit our photos? without further ado, let's get into it!
to start off, you will need some kind of editing software
we use adobe lightroom which is free it looks like this
go into the app and press this little button in the bottom right corner to open a new project
for this video, i am going to be using this photo
to start, we usually adjust the exposure depending on how good the lighting is
if it's darker, then we put the exposure up and if it's lighter, then we may wanna put
it down a little bit next, we are going to work with the contrast
i kind of like to think of the contrast as kind of defining the facial features a little
bit more and making them darker so, when we put the contrast down, it kind
of gets a little hazy and cloudy do the same with the highlights, shadows,
whites, and blacks until it looks perfect to you
then you click the little temperature icon right underneath to adjust the color settings
basically, the temperature is just like making it more warm colored or making it more cool
colored so, if you want more warm colors you put the
temperature up and if you want it cooler colored you put the temperature down
we don't really mess with the temperature tint is like the same thing and it will tint
the photo, like adding a filter, to a color what we use the most is vibrance and saturation
vibrance makes the colors pop even more and saturation just makes everything brighter
adding too much vibrance or too much saturation can make your dolls look really really orange
and not good we move on to the next icon and we only use
clarity here because we do not need the rest only put it up a tiny bit because if you put
it up all the way, it makes your doll look like a drawing
finally we click on this icon and we click enable lens corrections
and that will slightly make your photo better and clearer
this is a before and after of the photo we just edited!
