President Trump and first lady Melania Trump returned to the church in which they were
married for Easter morning services.
U.S. President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump hold hands as they arrive for
the Easter service at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Florida,
"President Trump wore a bright red tie and was holding Melania Trump's hand as they
headed to church entrance after exiting motorcade.
FLOTUS wore a sleeveless, calf-length, pinkish-red print dress.
This was their first public appearance since the '60 Minutes' interview with adult
film actress Stormy Daniels who has alleged an affair with Trump (that he has denied)
more than a decade ago," wrote Ledyard King, a USA Today reporter who was the White House
"pool" source for the day.
The couple was accompanied by the president's daughter, Tiffany.
Mr. Trump took a leisurely walk into the church and stopped briefly to talk to the assembled
press.
The First Lady looked radiant in the sunshine wearing a red dress and statement shades.
A red and white print dominated the dress, which was finished with a thick red trim on
the bottom.
Melania protected her eyes from the fierce Florida sun with a her favourite pair of sunglasses.
She wore a pair of strappy white heels to complete the look.
Melania's hair hung loosely over her shoulders, fitting in with the casual vibe of her outfit.
Donald stuck to his usual attire of a suit, which he paired with a red tie to match his
wife.
The couple have been enjoying an Easter break in Florida just days after adult film actress
Stormy Daniels appeared on 60 Minutes to claim she had enjoyed a night of passion with President
during the early years of his marriage.
Donald Trump denies the accusations, and Melania has stayed largely silent on the furore, releasing
a statement via her Press Officer.
Press Secretary and Communications Director Stephanie Grisham made a statement via her
Twitter account.
The public relations expert said: "While I know the media is enjoying speculation & salacious
gossip, I'd like to remind people there's a minor child who's name should be kept
out of news stories when at all possible."
She added, when asked whether the First Lady watched the Stormy Daniels interview: "She's
focused on being a mom and is quite enjoying spring break at Mar-a-Lago while working on
future projects."
Deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters said in a statement last week: "The First Lady
will be staying in Florida as is their tradition for spring break."
Melania has been out already to celebrate Easter, making a surprise visit to Palm Beach
Children's Hospital in Florida.
She bought Easter gifts and treats for many of the young patients there, meeting many
of the families.
