Princess Charlotte effect: How adorable princess charmed the nation ahead of Royal Wedding

Still a week away from her third birthday, the two-year-old proved she was the perfect princess when she waved like a pro as she arrived at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital on Monday.

Poised beyond her years, the confident toddler charmed the nation as she excitedly waved to crowds waiting following the birth of her little brother, Prince Louis.

And just before she made her way into the hospital, Princess Charlotte gave one last adorable wave after she totted up the steps of the Lindo Wing.

The little princess' air of regal confidence is sure to stand her in good stead ahead of a very special event in the Royal Family calendar - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding.

And this is because Charlotte, 2, is sure to be a flower girl at her uncle's wedding to his American actress bride.

Richard Fitzwiliams told Express.

uk: "Charlotte has become an icon of cuteness with her wave was she was being taken by William to see her new sibling.

"The global reach of these photos is enormous as is the 'Charlotte effect'.

"She'll will undoubtedly be a flower girl or bridesmaid as the wedding.

But Mr Fitzwilliams told royal fans they should not expect to see the newborn prince at the Spring nuptials because the "day belongs to Harry and Meghan".

The Queen's adorable great-grandchild has previous wedding experience - she momentarily stole the limelight at her aunty Pippa's nuptials in May last year alongside he brother, Prince George.

Charlotte looked the part for her aunty's wedding to James Matthews, where she looked adorable as Pippas flower girl in a pretty white dress with a pink bow, while her hair was adorned with a flower crown.

While Prince George played pageboy in a crisp white shirt with a cute Peter Pan collar, teamed with pale olive silk knickerbockers and tights.

And so the 'Charlotte effect' is proving to be well underway with the toddler's adorable £45 floral frock from Little Alice London, and designed by Kate's old school friend, now sold out in all sizes after she stole the show on Monday.

Adorable Video footage showed Prince George putting a protective arm around his sister's shoulders as the doors closed behind them when they arrived to meet their newborn brother.

The two-year-old will be getting to used to play big sister as she enjoyed some quality time with her baby brother because she did not return to school until Thursday.

The royal baby was born on St Georges Day the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, weiging 8lb 7oz.

Susanna started: One of your many skills is your weather forecasting.

Would you like to make your way over to the weather forecasting area? Go do your thing Big Narstie, urged Piers.

Big Narstie then wooed: By the way Susanna, you look lovely. What about Charlotte? grilled Piers.

Charlotte, youre nice but you havent got what Susannas got.

Susannas got the extra. But that wasnt the end of his hilarious appearance on the show.

"By the way Susanna, you look lovely" Big Narstie After making his way over to present the weather alongside Laura Tobin, 36, he was savagely cut off before he could even reveal the forecast sweeping the UK today.

In side-splitting scenes, GMB bosses ended the show and Lorraine Kellys daytime programme broadcasted instead.

Jaw-dropped viewers raced to Twitter to comment on the MCs appearance on the show.

One person pleaded: Can Big Narstie please become a permanent member on Good Morning Britain. Omg Charlotte youre nice but you aint got what Susannas got not gonna lie cant cope with Big Narstie, wrote another.

A third added: Lol Big Narstie on Good Morning Britain was jokes! Why did they cut him off just as he was getting started with the weather though!? He deserved more time than 10 seconds! Elsewhere on todays programme, shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott joined live from central London.

The 64-year-old Labour MP was called in to discuss Amber Rudds resignation in the wake of the Windrush scandal, and she was also quizzed on Labours position on immigration policy.
