Hi! My name is John Flores.

I'm a Content Developer for Azure AD.

I'm here today to talk to you about Self-Service Password Reset

for enterprise users. What is Self-Service Password Reset? you may ask.

Self-service password reset or SSPR

as we like to call it, offers a simple means

for IT administrators to empower their

users to reset or unlock their own passwords

or accounts without IT intervention.

Why choose Azure AD Self-Service Password Reset?

Password resets today typically involve

high helpdesk costs. Users having to spend hours on the phone.

Manual configuration and management and Limited control for

administrators who want to enforce security policies.

Did you know that Gartner suggests that nearly 20 percent

of IT spend is spent on helpdesks

resetting passwords. And I don't know

about you, but I hate having to get on the

phone with the helpdesk and go, hey,

this is John Flores I need to reset my password.

No-- No, the other John Flores.

Yeah-- yeah that yep, you set my password to what?

Microsoft123. OK.

Thanks! Wouldn't you like to be able to

control what your users are able to set

their passwords to and give them the

ability to do that themselves.

In the next video, we'll talk about how to Configure SSPR.

This video will demonstrate the process of registering

for Self-Service Password Reset.

Have you ever spent your whole morning on the phone

trying to reset your password?

With SSPR, you can reset your password or unlock your account

without having to speak to a person.

Before you can use this feature

you must register a few authentication methods

your administrator has decided.

To do this go to aka.ms/ssprsetup.

As you can see here, Bianca was sign in with her organization account.

On the registration page it will ask you to verify two authentication methods.

Bianca will start with the email address,

click on set it up now.

Enter another email address not associated with this account

and click on email me.

This will send a verification code to that second email account.

Copy the code found in that email

go back to the registration page,

paste the code and click on verify.

Next, Bianca will verify her cellphone number for authentication.

Note that her administrator has already populated

the number in Azure AD. She can click on text me

to receive a code on her cell phone.

Enter the code, click on verify and then click on finish.

Congratulations! The user is now signed up for Self-Service Password Reset.

Self Destructive Behavior In Relationships - Duration: 13:46.

It's probably pretty important to figure out what is that self-destructive

behavior that gets into our relationships. Let's take that on today.

What we do in a relationship matters. Some of our behaviors are productive and

helpful and others not so much. I remember attending a seminar by Dr. John

Gottman. He is one of the leading researchers in the nation on

relationships particularly marriage. But relationships in general. And as I

attended this seminar, it's kind of funny because I was up there for two days. I

had paid whatever the fees were to attend the seminar. This was early in my

career. I came home after two days. I was sharing with Vicki some of the things

that I had learned. She summed it up beautifully. In just a couple of words.

She says, "oh so do more of what works and less of what does it? Is that what you

learned in two days Paul?" Was like, "yeah that's kind of pretty much it." You do

more of what works and less of what doesn't. What doesn't work in a

relationship? Dr. Gottman nailed it. In his research he found that there was a

predictable four-part pattern that led to the destruction of a relationship. So

as we're talking about self-destructive behavior in relationships, we probably

ought to draw on some of that amazing research that's been done by people who

have reasons to know. The number one thing that he identified is criticism.

Now criticism doesn't have to be real or intended as long as it's

perceived. It works. Think about it. aren't there times when people feel criticized

by you, when you didn't intend any kind of criticism at all? Yeah. It has to do

with their perceptions and the way they're seeing things.

Criticism is one of those most destructive elements and Gottman pointed

out that it leads to the next steps in that four part negative cascade.

Criticism, defensiveness, contempt and stonewalling.

Which means turning away from each other instead of turning toward each other.

Criticism probably the number one thing that can destroy a relationship. The

second one that I came up with. And maybe this one should be number one, because

it's one of my favorite topics. Negativity. Negativity that's tied to the

criticism, right? Because criticism is usually focusing on something negative

and then feeling compelled to bring that to someone's attention, right? Something

that you don't like. Well that's a form of negativity but it's not just in the

criticism. Negativity creeps into relationships and and drives behaviors

within a relationship that are completely self destructive. I say

self-destructive because it hurts you to be negative but it's very destructive to

a relationship because of the effect that it has. Not only criticism but check

this out, what if I'm constantly negative about myself or my circumstances. "Oh my

life is so hard. Oh this stinks. I hate this." Between complaining and criticism,

I'm not much fun to be around at that point. It's a very destructive behavior

within a relationship to be negative. Okay how about another one, selfishness.

Oh yeah this is where it's all about me. It's all about me. I talk about me. I'm

concerned about how I feel. How I feel about you, how I feel about myself. I

might be concerned about how you feel about me see. It's all about me. This

selfishness tends to destroy relationships. You know what for all of

these, just check in with how you feel, if other people are doing these destructive

behavior. Yeah it's just repulsive. You just

want to stay away from that and avoid that relationship. It doesn't draw you in.

Selfishness is the third. The fourth one that I've identified here is - disrespect.

Okay disrespect comes in a lot of different forms. And I picked that word

because I think it summarizes a whole lot of different elements. I've talked in

other videos for example about the love choice. The love choice is that every

interaction we have in a relationship is going to fall on one side or the other.

Either the love side or the hate side. Either a little or a lot.

Disrespect is a hate choice. Let's be clear about that. I think any level of

disrespect is a hate choice. You know I had a an experience back in my training

years. I was running a group for juvenile delinquents

okay, these are teenagers who were referred by the court in to my group. As

I was interacting with these kids there was this one in particular sitting

clear over on the side of the class and he had his hat on backwards and he's

chewing on a toothpick and he's got a bolt through his nose. You know he's got

this attitude. And we're talking about respect and he says, "well I respect

people who respect me." I'm like, "wow that is impressive." That's not hard to do. It's

not hard to respect people who respect you, is it? No. What's challenging is for

you to be respectful no matter what. Disrespect destroys relationships. Now

that kind of leads us into what I wanted to wrap this video up with because we've

just identified four things that can destroy a relationship. Four things that

are self-destructive behaviors within a relationship.

The first one was criticism. The second one - negativity. The third one -

selfishness and the fourth one was disrespect. Okay, so if we're not going to do

those things, what should we replace him with. Let's go

into some opposites and see where we go with that.

Instead of criticism, what if we replace that with appreciation and gratitude.

Appreciation and gratitude, is that the opposite of criticism? Well I don't know,

but it's a pretty good replacement for the criticism. So instead of looking for

what you don't like. Instead of looking for what you don't approve of in this

relationship, what if you were to seek and find, what it is that you're grateful

for? What it is that you appreciate? You shift the direction of your mind to the

appreciation or the gratitude and that's going to change some things isn't it?

Gratitude, appreciation, okay what about for the negativity? Oh that one's obvious.

We're going to replace it with positivity. You know what, go to the main page of

this channel, the intro video is all about how to stay positive. No matter

what. Just go visit that look at it again. I've explained there psychologically how

and why positivity is always a choice. And it doesn't matter what's going on

around you. It's always a choice. I know that's a bold statement but go look at

that video and you'll see exactly what I mean. Can we replace our negativity? Our

noxious negativity, with a little bit of pathological positivity? Pathological, I

get a little bit of flack for that that word. That's it actually the title of my

book, "Pathological Positivity" And I take some flak for that

from a psychological standpoint, the word pathological, means disordered.

Disconnected from reality. Crazy and it sounds a little crazy to

some people. When I make the assertion that I just shared with you, it's

possible to be positive no matter what. That's a challenge because you look at

your own circumstances and it's easy to say, "oh well how can I be positive in the

middle of all this?" Yeah it's a pretty good question, but usually it's not a

question, it's a statement. Disguised is a question. How can I be positive? Hear the

exclamation point? It's not a question. Turn it back into a question and it's a

pretty good question. How can I be positive in the middle of all this? Yeah,

good question. Watch the video I'll share that with you.

Now let's go to the next one - selfishness. Okay,

that one's pretty obvious we're going to replace selfishness with selflessness.

Now this doesn't mean that you don't matter. It means that you change your

focus. You change your focus is not about me. It's about this greater context of we

and all of the people around me. It's not us and them, it's just us. When we change

our focus off of ourselves. Now let me make a little disclaimer here because

there is a benevolent power in self-interest. I'm not talking

selfishness. I'm talking self-interest. An example is, driving on the freeway. The

only reason I can do that safely is because every other driver out there on

the freeway, is concerned about me, no. They're concerned about themselves.

There's a benevolent interest in self-interest or a benevolent make it

possible for other people to live peaceably with us. In fact suicide

bombers, we don't even know how to deal with that. That terrorists used this

tactic because it goes against the human psyche - to put yourself in danger. Okay, so

we count on other people having self-interest and that makes us more

safe. So when I say selflessness, I don't mean you abandon self-interest. I mean

that you get the focus off of yourself. It's not about you. How you feel is only

secondary. There's a greater common shared interest that I think we need to

pay attention to. And so when our focus goes there, it actually serves us

personally better as well. We replace the selfishness with selflessness. Focus on

service and enriching and creating value for other people. There's a lot of other

reasons why that works. And the last one disrespect, we're going to replace that

with respect. Respect is where we value and honor other people as co-inhabitants

of the planet. Other people are more like us than they are different. I know that

there's differences and those differences are important and we honor

and celebrate those differences. It's differences that make us relevant

and interesting to each other. It gives us a reason to have a relationship in

the first place. If we were exactly the same, one of us would be unnecessary and

we won't get into which one. But it doesn't matter anyway because we're

exactly the same right? No, it's our differences that make us relevant and

interesting to each other. We will celebrate those differences and respect

also means that we're more alike than we are different. We all have a heart that

gets filled sometimes with love and other times with fear. We're all like

that. We all struggle to know what is the

right thing to do in this moment. We all ask ourselves similar questions about

our existence. We are more alike than we are different.

I think respect is a manifestation of that acknowledgement. We

celebrate our differences and accept that we are all part of the same family.

I am so glad you're here that we get to have these conversations every day. I

hope you're finding it beneficial.

"Every Year" by the Rhode Island Self Defense Alliance; Citizen Testimony on Gun Control Legislation - Duration: 3:16.

April 24, 2018 Rhode Island General Assembly House Committee on Judiciary - 18 Firearm Related Bills Citizens Fight Back "EVERY YEAR"

[State Representative Aaron Regunberg] so every year since I've been up here legislation like

RI House Bill 7645 to ban high-capacity magazines every year it's been held for

further study but this year I would urge this committee to really the most

dangerous bills on this list every year this bill rears its ugly head and every

year we have to come in here and talk about it we're here again about an

assault weapons ban because of Florida we're here again about carry concealed

permit holders and schools and again the real issue again is fortifying the

school's little history on the ar-15 and I we've we come here every year and they

talk about weapons of war and the f-15 as a weapon of war our children are very

valuable and again I want to stress about that of stress for the last six

years we need to toughen up our security on schools all right every year I I make

this trip and I'm so prepared on on the magazine ban the first couple of years

I've showed this to you I thought it was funny I'm not so sure now firearms are a

tool for protection they are a deterrent and as I've testified in the past I'm

here because I was protected by a gun and I know from previous testimony that

at least three members of this committee have also been protected by guns well

that's you know

and I always want to let everybody know that we're awake, you woke us all up

you know you've been pushing and pushing and pushing for years taking over and

taking control of this Statehouse and we've allowed it

our bad we've set back we've allowed it and we've let you take power but guess

what no more we woke up you push too far on these

ones you pushed too far because the Second Amendment is what protects our

entire country and we're gonna be here in November 20118 so I just want every single

one and that most of them in here I don't have to worry about but I'm

letting everybody else know that it isn't here that couldn't be bothered

just be here tonight to listen to us that we are coming back in November and

we're bringing a lot of people with us and we're gonna make a statement thank

you and what I'm gonna do is take my vacation time and any revenue I have and

in November just like that girl back there said I'm gonna come and I'm gonna

change this state with my time and my money and I'm gonna get rid of all you

people that keep writing these any gun bills because I'm tired I'm tired of

working every day and having to come and spend my nights defending my rights and

now we're seeing a government that wants a monopoly on force that sounds a real

bad message to your people and we are a woke you guys haven't woken us up and we

are going to show up so that's all I have

you

How to roll out self-service password reset | Azure Active Directory - Duration: 1:33.

(music)

Hi! Welcome back! In our last video,

we talked about how you can Rollout SSPR.

We're going to talk about now, how you can

go from that pilot phase to a full organization Rollout.

First, you want to do your pilot but with a small group of users.

Usually people find that your IT-- your IT staff,

Administrators, Developers, it's the first place to start.

Second, you'll want to Educate your

helpdesk users on the benefits

and importance of directing users to use Self-Service Password Reset.

Third, you want to Educate your users,

explain to them how Self-Service Password Reset works,

Why you're deploying it and most companies

find that it's important to put up banners, posters, send emails,

get users involved and get them to understand

why you're deploying this

and how it makes their lives easier.

Then you'll want to Rollout to your entire organization

enforcing user registration,

populating possibly an intranet page

or an email to users and then when all said and done,

you've now deployed SSPR. Congratulations..!

Thank you for watching and good luck on your SSPR Rollout.

Les Brown: Mastering Self-Motivation ( Les Brown Motivation ) - Duration: 33:18.

Simply some keys to self motivation and all of us have motivation of some sort I

define motivation as the desire to achieve that which you believe to be

worthwhile and many people go through life never getting in touch with their

greatness because of the lack of motivation to push themselves or because

they have not found something that they believed to be worthwhile to challenge

them I heard a poem once it said many a flower has bloomed unceasingly and waste

its sweetness upon the cold desert air as translated that means simply that

many a talented persons have gone unnoticed and the world never had a

chance to be exposed to their talent because that person did not take the

time to begin to express or to demonstrate or to motivate themselves in

the direction to bring that which they came into the universe to bring how can

you measure your motivation how can you evaluate where you are on a scale of one

to ten let's do this for ourselves mentally how do you rate yourself from

one to ten your mental attitude about yourself how you feel about you

how you feel about life how do you rate yourself on a scale of one to ten in

terms of your physical appearance in terms of your health do you take care of

yourself are you allowing yourself to get overweight and out of shape are you

conscious of your health are you watching the food that you take into

your body do you make a deliberate effort to exercise you know it was

George Burns he said we cannot help getting older but we don't have to get

old and many of us get old before our time because we don't take time to take

care of ourselves your environment is a very good indicator on a scale of one to

ten is it what you want it to be do you find it desirable are you satisfied the

job a career that you're involved in someone said that 85% of the American

public unhappy with their jobs are you spending eight hours a day just doing

time doing something that you don't find challenging that does not make you

stretch mentally but does not stimulate you that does not inspire you something

that you don't find a sense of fulfillment in it if you're doing that

day in and day out it has to affect how you feel about yourself your level of

motivation your relationships what kind of impact is that having on your life is

that nourishing or is that a toxic relationship does it drain you or does

it build you up ask yourself that how motivated are you to do something about

it your contribution your actions what are

you giving many people will leave the universe without a trace

no one will know they were here and in fact under their name we could put under

they're not used up will anybody know that you came this way what contribution

are you giving what will you leave what will be different because you came this

way someone once said that life is our gift to us that god has given us and how

we live our lives is our gift to God what kind of gift

are you formulating is this a gift that you like to take back and do something

else before you turn it in think about that what can we do what are some of the

keys that we can begin to use to motivate ourselves when our batteries

were unload because I don't care who you are I don't care what you do at some

time you are going to get tired at some time you're going to get in a rut seem

like nothing you do works out right and sometimes it just seems like you just

don't have the wherewithal or the will to do anything that sometimes you act

like you're punch-drunk you're just wading through like just during time day

in and day out looking at nondiscriminatory television anything

that's all just looking

and the press feeling powerless feeling useless and bored what do you do how do

you get yourself out of a rut how do you when you know you can do more than what

you've been doing and you're not doing it and you're discontented where you are

you get angry at yourself how do you get out of that rut how do you motivate

yourself one of the things that we must do is that we must be involved in

working on achieving self mastery you must work on yourself continuously never

be satisfied with yourself always know that as you invest the effort in time on

you that's the greatest ability that human beings have above animals see a

dog can't be anything but a dog tree can't be anything but a tree human being

you've got unlimited potential you can put effort on you and by concentrating

on you and developing you you can transform your life wherever you are

right now so you want to work on yourself you want to read books that

inspire you and motivate you you want to listen to tapes over and over and over

again and I suggest that you listen to tapes when you first get up in the

morning you want to control the spirit of your day when you first wake up in

the morning your mind is operating at 10.5 wave cycles per second that's when

the subconscious mind is most impressionable whatever you hear in the

first 20 minutes when you wake up that will affect the spirit of your day when

you listen to tapes listen with relaxed belief believing that this can happen

for you and by listening to them listen to them over and over and over again and

you will get a breakthrough you can listen to the same tape for months and

all of a sudden you hear something you never heard before it have a special

meaning for you or read the same book over again and you find some special

insight you said I can't believe I didn't see that the first time so you

want to be involved in developing yourself most people won't do that most

people won't take that kind of effort and invest that kind of energy in

themselves because they will fall prey to that conversation within oh don't do

you don't have time you were too busy you're too caught up in the rat race

most people won't do that well they won't take time to go to lectures they

won't take time to go to seminars they won't take time to go to classes to

improve themselves and as you continue to work on yourself you will begin to

expand your vision of yourself you begin to work towards self mastery and you

will begin to see it reflect itself in all the dimensions of your life your

mental life your physical life your social life in your relationships your

monetary life so concentrate on developing yourself because if you don't

I guarantee you that you will make a settlement and most people have and most

of us already have what kind of settlement have you made with your life

you know when we make settlements out-of-court settlements you've heard

them that means that you decided to take something less than what you originally

wanted to get had you gone into court and the reason that you settled outside

of court is because you didn't believe that you can get it so you made an

out-of-court settlement many of us are making in life settlement we're settling

for less than what we actually deserve we don't feel good about it but we make

it work in our minds we'll come up with some kind of excuse to make it all right

what kind of settlement have you made with your life many of us settle for

less than what we want out of relationships because we don't have the

courage to change them I had a seminar used to do call are you living together

or dying together many people are just dying together

Gladys Knight used to have a song that says neither one of us want to be the

first to say goodbye the next thing is in order to begin to find some keys to

self motivation to drive yourself in addition to working on yourself and as

you work on yourself you feel good about yourself and as you feel better about

yourself you treat yourself differently develop a health plan so you can't feel

well and do well if you don't have good health you can't perform if you don't

have your health your health is valuable develop a health plan a plan that you

will follow because this is the only vehicle that you have to carry you

through this experience call life and you want to take good care of it because

you love you enough you care enough about you and that's not easy it is not

easy having a health plan and sticking to it but you're worth it doing it again

and again and again I have lost 22 pounds several times

separates I always do it I love potato chips people who know me know I love M&M

peanuts I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I love my mother sweet potato

pie I love this it's not always on my health plan but I put it on there

sometimes I said life is too short to go without sweet potato pie if I go tonight

I want you to slip us with twice the sweet potato pie of my casket yeah and

watch the smile of my face

next thing is as you take care of yourself the next key is keys to

motivation to self motivation you want to live life with energy and passion you

want to make a conscious effort to be Lively see in life you either say hello

or goodbye you either on the way or in the way leave that people alone some

folks just walking around looking saying how are you doing honey stay away from

these people just go away from them it affects you

you want to smile you want to be happy you got a lot to be thankful for but you

watch some of the faces around you every day

and I tell you some of these faces they will put you in a depressed state of

mind so you want to avoid these kind of faces when you see them coming turn your

head next thing is that you want to monitor your inner conversations the

things that you say to yourself you want to watch them and in watching them you

want to take charge friend of mine told me this evening as she did it

excellently she said I didn't want to come tonight I was feeling so depressed

and I said I'm going anyhow see that was the conversation so you really don't

feel like it you really don't need to do it you don't really need to read

anything forget all that that's that in a conversation oh you don't need to

worry about trying to go into your own business forget that you can't do that

what if you lose everything you've got that in a conversation that stopped you

from doing the things you want to do less don't do that how can you possibly

think about being a motivational speaker you don't have the context you don't

have the money you don't know the right people you're gonna get up in your minds

gonna go blink forget all that you remember that time

you got up before some people and you panic you stood up in your mind set down

don't you remember I said yes and then I said shut up so

you've got to learn to stand up to yourself inside yourself and

short-circuit override that conversation that's always going on 85% of what that

conversation will tell you is negative its negative it will tell you you're

tied when you really are not tired it will tell you you can't do it it will

fill you with fear so you've got to watch that conversation and when you

find it going on you've got to stand up to it and say I'm going to do this

anyhow I'm afraid but I'm afraid not to do it and I'm not going to let you stop

me the biggest challenge that you will have in life is you there's an old

African proverb that says is there's no enemy within the enemy outside can do us

no harm the next thing that is a key to self motivation is that you've got to

ask yourself what do I want out of life what do you want out of life what do you

want out of a job what do you want out of career what do you want out of a

relationship what do you want what gives you your life what how will you know

when you got it what will make you happy you need to know you need to start

asking yourself some questions what do I really really truly want you need to be

exact about that don't be vague oh I just want to be happy that's too vague

what will make you happy how will you know when you got it zero in on it be

exact be specific and as you do that that will stimulate that super conscious

mind or the reticular activating system of your mind that will begin to find

those things to identify with it and once you begin to determine that which

you want take the time to write it down don't just think about it write it down

that is a subjective process that engages

subconscious mind write it down once you write it down read it three times a day

morning noon and night why is that important because what it will do it

will cause you to focus it will cause you to concentrate when that other

conversation is going on telling you what you cannot do telling you all of

the impossibilities and all of the obstacles you're concentrating will

begin to create a larger vision within yourself and you start looking for and

seeing some new opportunities you start creating some openings for yourself as

you begin to read that every day every day day in and day out that will make

you focus that will discipline your thinking and you'll get all kind of

creative ideas as I talk to you right now being involved in this immersion

process you're going to create some openings for yourself you're gonna get

some ideas you're gonna feel your adrenaline flowing and you're gonna

think about something some idea you had you said I want to go back and I'm going

to look at that again from a different vantage point not from the level of the

problem of the obstacles that I encountered but from a higher vantage

point because what you will begin to see them to know as I have talked to the

higher consciousness within you that you are powerful that you are a miracle

worker and that inner conversation has conditioned you to believe that you're

not and as you begin to discover the truth of who you are whatever challenge

that you're facing in life and if you're living you're facing some challenge

you'll begin to know that you're powerful and that you're America maker

so as you begin to write down exactly what it is that you want read it every

day the next thing is see yourself there how will you feel once you get there

what will the experience be like for you what will be different what kind of

person do you have to become in order to get there visualize yourself there

living the experience I remember when I ran for State Representative in Columbus

Ohio and I had a lot of people telling me and you got to watch not only the

conversation within but conversation without telling me less you

can't possibly win you can't do that and I went down to the legislature and I saw

myself I knew what I wanted I saw myself in the chair I pointed out the chair

that I wanted I used to go and set up in the galleries and watch the legislative

process I used to go to the committee meetings and listen to legislation being

introduced I learned how to write legislation how to amend legislation I

start thinking like a legislator got up every day dressing thinking like that

selling myself on it seeing myself in the legislature mr. speaker I'm the

gentleman from the 29th House District I'd like to introduce the bill I went in

the legislature walk around I had the experience of it and when I ran and won

against overwhelming odds they were shocked I won the election even before

it was held because I was living it in my mind you want to see yourself beyond

your circumstances you got a challenge see yourself beyond your challenge see

yourself with the challenge already resolved and knowing that all as well

seeing yourself in control and in charge of your destiny being healthy and happy

the next thing is it is important in the area of motivating yourself it's

important to know why you're doing it because that mind will say why bother

why go through all this this is too hard no throw in the towel it's not worth it

but has it ever said that to you before here's how you can handle that here's

how you override that write down five reasons why you deserve it why do you

deserve what you want why are you why do you deserve it what meaning and value

will it bring to your life what's so different about you that you deserve

your goal of this goal and when you write down those five reasons when you

have some down moments and you're going to have them when that conversation

start talking to you and it's going to talk to you what you will do is you can

pull that out in and it will build you up it will be your

rod and your staff to comfort you through some challenging moments because

you're gonna have some life will knock you between the eyes it will catch you

on the blindside come out of nowhere stuff you can't anticipate that will

knock the win out of you you want to give up that's why it's important for

you to work on yourself listening to tapes building yourself up talking to

yourself with power feeling and conviction building yourself up day in

and day out because it's coming I

guarantee you life is just waiting oh he's doing good now huh very good I've

never had an experience I was pursuing my dream and that's why you have to work

on yourself you don't know what's going to happen

and I was telling people I had this big rally I had to do was 5,000 people there

and I said you must work on yourself if you want a larger vision you've got to

empower yourself continuously because life will catch you on the blindside and

after I finished my speech I got a rousing standing ovation and I wouldn't

call the young lady that I was dating at the time I said hey guess what I said

they love me I got a standing ovation and they were chanting we want the

motivator we want the motivator I said listen we want to motivate we

want do you hear she said yes unless I need to talk to you I've been wait a

minute you were talking about tough I was get though and I'll be also less I

heard a voice in background hurry up and tell him who's that

last time you've been gone a lot in there's somebody else what they came in

last come on mr. motivator they want you back out there

wait a minute all of the Honan why don't you say I'm sorry that someone hasn't

heard his voice they hang the phone oh come on I say what are they gonna say

hey hey motivator come on they want you catch you have chair I say

okay I said when you working on a larger vision I say you you got a really work

on yourself good light will catch you the blindside

I say you better be ready and you better make sure you want it cause it'll make

you cry if somebody said the spirit is on him thank you thank you thank you

thank you I was talking to this not blinking the

light they had to come for me all but I say you gotta have a larger vision you

make sure you make sure you work on yourself I said come over surround come

oh yeah I went back to my hotel room and loneliness and heartbreak was

sitting on the beds that are you coming in now do you have your larger vision

now how's your positive attitude say get on in here are you still breathing

yep shut up no you want your go not Oh we'll just go Donald

light will wear you out you'll be saying no I can't it no how are you try to read

it can't see that through the tears I went running through the drawers in this

hotel trying to find a Gideon Bible anything you know I said somebody

anybody help me Yahweh Yahoo anybody so boy I tell you that's why you got to

work on your stuff good life we'll send you some curves

you cannot anticipate the next thing is that whatever you do you want to develop

technical mastery you want to be the best at what you do you want to master

it see part of self motivation is you've got to find something that gives you a

strong sense of competence will you become known for that you develop a

reputation of being good at doing that you set some high personal standards for

yourself you're not competing with anybody else you're just unfolding

yourself to be the best person that you could be that you want to give the best

quality service that you can give because that is a statement about who

you are the other thing that's the key to self

motivation is recognize the fact that you're going to get into some slumps who

recognize the fact that you're going to encounter a great deal

of failure in life it goes with the territory but in the face of that you

want to be relentless when you want something you can don't expect everybody

to say oh come on it we've been oh you want this oh great we want to give this

to you you're such a nice person you're doing it for your family aren't you gray

now don't like this and like that no many doors will be closed in your face

many loans that you'll want they say no you don't have enough collateral you

don't have enough credit and most people will give up but you've got to decide

that I'm going to be fearless I refuse to be tonight and I'm going to

go all out I'm going to be rid of LITTLEST I don't

care how many nose I encounter I like something Isaiah Thomas said when it's

getting ready for a basketball game he said I'm gonna either shoot us in or

shoot us out but I'm not going to not do anything and that's the way to go

you can't make a basket unless you shoot the ball you can't hit a homerun unless

you take a swing at it most people won't even take a swing well I probably won't

make it anyhow that's the conversation within they probably won't give it to me

anyhow if you want something you've got to be relentless you've got to decide I

deserve this and I'm going to have it and you go all out to get it that drives

you the next thing is that when you want something out of life you've got to be

willing to go into action don't wait around for things to be just right don't

wait for things to be perfect don't wait for the ideal situation it will never be

ideal there will always be a reason well as soon as the children grow up as soon

as I pay my bills well soon as I get my divorce okay as soon as I get enough

money together do what you can where you are with what you have and never be

satisfied a lot of people never take a chance in life they don't want to take

any chances they want the situation to be ideal see that's not walking by faith

that's walking by sight if I can see it I'll do it no no no glass a lot of

people say if I can see it I'll believe it no no if you believe it you can see

it

and don't be disturbed because no one else can see it that's not unusual that

is ordinary but because you want some different kind of results in your life

you've got to be willing to be unreasonable if you want unreasonable

results in your life you've got to be willing to be unreasonable part of being

unreasonable you don't judge according to appearances part of being

unreasonable you can see it because you believe it that's part of being

unreasonable part of being unreasonable you like Paulo said you must have the

faith to call for those things that be not as though they were that's part of

being unreasonable most people won't do that most people

say call me when you get it together

then I'll support you the other thing is that what are the keys to self

motivation that empowers you is that you want to find a cause larger than

yourself find something that you can contribute you find something that you

can make a difference because you can part of what feeds your larger vision

part of what gives you a reason for being part of what gives you your life

is being able to give something back so I can't afford to give anything you

can't afford not to give give your time give your television uh thing just to go

and lick envelopes I don't know exactly what I'm going to do but I'm going over

there it's part of my timing in the universe once you develop that that

special sense of mission and that's what you develop when you're part of a larger

cause than yourself it drives you you don't need an alarm

clock to get up in the morning you have special power you go places and folk

will like to be around you they will know there's something different about

you when you go in they say hey that's somebody important I want to know who

you are I just want to be near you that energy

that you have that consciousness that you will embody will affect everybody

around you the next thing is is that you want to create a home court

advantage for yourself you've got to be aware of who you have around you so you

want to be selective have friends that will enable you to grow I have friends

that help me to grow spiritually these are my spiritual friends I talk

spiritual stuff with them I have some other friends who are just intellectual

friends they make me grow intellectually they make me stretch I have some

professional friends I'm a member of the National Speakers Association I get

together with other speakers and we learn from each other and we grow from

each other I have other friends suggest social friends all we do is just

socialize together we look at a basketball game together or go out

dancing but that's all we can do we don't talk anything serious nothing

spiritual nothing intellectual that's not that kind of relationship nothing

heavy up in here have other friends we walk together that's all we can do walk

together talk about if we're going to lose weight one day bye and bye for good

all right that's all we do nothing else so according to the relationships that

you develop we grow from people and projects and the relationships that you

develop can enhance and can enrich your life or they can drain you I know many

talented people who had a great deal of potential but because they didn't

surround themselves with other people that will inspire them to transcend

themselves they never realize their greatness and they will end up going to

their grave with all their good stuff still in them so you want to look at

your relationships the people that you're involved with the people that you

communicate with almost often and you want to ask yourself the question what

am i becoming because of this relationship desert in farming am i

motivated am i encouraged am i driven to develop myself am i seeking my own

greatness what kind of person am i becoming because of this relationship am

i becoming more cynical and negative about life

ask yourself that the next thing is you've got to say yes to your life

you've got to say yes yes to my dreams yes to me yes I can make it yes I can

doesn't matter how many failures I've made doesn't matter how many mistakes

I've endured doesn't matter about my defeats doesn't matter about what I've

done yes yes I don't care about the fact I'm

in a hole now doesn't matter about where I am yes the last chapter to my life has

not been written yet if you judge me now you'll judge me prematurely

I haven't exposed all my stuff yet I'm still in the process of transforming my

life I'm still in the process of becoming yes I have somebody in my life

at one time told me you'll never make and I said how sure and I'm what

energized me what motivated me was something that Frank Sinatra said he

said the best revenge is massive success

I'll show you you just watched my smoke as old folks used to say

so say yes stand up for your dreams stand up for what you want in your life

decide that your life is so meaningful to you that you love you and you love

life so much that you're going to stand up for something you want I used to have

a saying when I was on the radio stand up for what you believe in because you

can fall for anything so what I say to you this evening that you are powerful

you have miracle-working power in your life right now but you've got to work on

yourself you've got to develop yourself you've got to talk to yourself day in

and day out selling yourself on you and on your potentials and you've got to

know that that you are worth all of your effort

and that the key to your motivation as you get a larger vision of yourself is

to know that you have something to give is to know that you have a reason for

being in the universe at this point in time I want you to stand up for your

life right now anybody want to stand up for your life stand up be a dream

Deploying self-service password reset | Azure Active Directory - Duration: 3:43.

(music)

In this video, we'll talk about how we can deploy SSPR?

The first step we want to do

is Choose authentication methods for the users, Ask those users

to register, Configure password writeback

if we're talking to an On-premise's environment,

Enable password for reset from the login screen if we choose to do so,

and then we want to Test SSPR as an end user.

Now let's jump into a demo where we can see this in process.

Okay, so I'm in my demo environment here

and we'll go ahead and enable password reset, so we've logged into the

azure portal, we've gone to Azure Active Directory

and now we're going to click on

password reset. When password reset comes up we'll want to enable

the Self-Service Password Reset,

we'll click all and we'll click save.

We'll come to authentication methods

and we choose we want one authentication method for reset

and let's enable email, mobile phone

and office phone for users to reset their passwords with

we'll save these options.

We'll choose Registration and do we want to require users to register when

signing in. For this environment

we'll say no, since we haven't changed anything

there's nothing to save.

For notifications, we'll choose yes that we want to notify users on

password resets and since this is the default, we don't have to save.

Alright, now that we've seen how to enable SSPR, let's test SSPR as a user.

Users have two options to access SSPR

either from a web browser

or from the Windows Logon Screen, alright let's see

how this works in-- in real life.

So I'm at the login screen and I can't access my account

so I'll hit can't access my account,

and it's my work or school account.

And now I'm presented with the SSPR

get back into your account page.

So, I'll type in my user name helga

and I will enter the characters on screen,

click Next, and now it's going to ask me to verify, who I am ?

So we'll ask SSPR to send me a text message

and we'll have a send a text--

I've gotten a verification code on my phone

and ahead next. Now, I can enter a new password for helga

I'll confirm the password,

and I'll hit finish. My password has now been reset

without IT Intervention.

Self care to decrease sleepiness everyday. Myofascial Release Technique 大宮 整体 日常的に眠気を感じる人へ伝えたいセルフケア - Duration: 6:12.

Hi my name is youhei ozaki. Thanks for watch this video. This video talk about self care to decrease sleepiness everyday.

My talking is not skillful. This time aim point is head. Especially it is head side.

If head muscle become more stiff, head get tired soon and will feel sleepiness. Or happen many troubles.

It is many forehead wrinkle, stuffy nose, asthenopia, chin pain, hearing loss, periodontal disease, etc. You should to do soften head muscle.

Almost people do massage side of eye edge. There is the dent.

That place is become soft by self massage of usually. But,my recommend place is above of ear hole.

How to find. It is to do shift heading for above from ear hole. Please rubbing when that and do rising heading for above.

You will find bulge. You will feel strong painful when did push a bulge.

You will think that pain came out by step. But,it is not.

The reality is don't feel pain at all. But almost people feel pain in that place. Because everyone don't massage of that place.

There is not step in that place. The step is stiff muscle.

Please soften that step. I recommend to push and rubbing in hand finger.

The pain place when do rubbing is give good change into body. Please check some thing before self care.

It is to check ear stiffness. Maybe, your ear become soft much by self care.

Please compare opposite ear. Even if do self-care as opposite ear good.

There is stiff muscle into 2 fingers above from ear. If the place know, please rubbing that place.

Maybe feel so so painful. My self care don't feel good. But very effective.

Even if person that do hope the strong massage, feel pain too much. The pain is remain just until long time ago.

Didn't massage that place only. The pain is need thing. At later, check the stiffness of face.

There is one caution point. There is possible that come out headache by self care.

Else is jaw pain, eye itch, hurt skin, etc. But those will become better.

Please doing time is inside 5 minute everyday. If come out many headache, etc next day, that day don't do self care.

Please spend rest time. The reason is stiff muscle become soft. If you don't feel pain please resume.

Please remember it. Thanks for watch this video. See you!

Google's Deep Mind Explained! Self Learning A I - Duration: 13:45.

Go Publish Yourself Episode 1: The Self-Publishing Landscape - Duration: 13:54.

Hi, everyone, welcome to Go Publish Yourself, an IngramSpark podcast.

Hi, I'm Robin Cutler, the Director of IngramSpark.

And I'm Justine Bylo and I manage our Author Acquisitions Program.

Well, hi Justine.

As we are wrapping up 2017, I thought it would be a really good idea to talk about the year,

what were some of the highlights, and then look towards 2018 and beyond.

What are trends that we're looking for these next couple of years.

Do we want to just jump right in?

Yeah, it's been a really interesting year.

What do think has been this past year, in 2017, what were things that stood out for

you?

There was a lot.

The genres really had some interesting changes this year.

On the road at all the conferences, I was hearing all of these interesting shifts, especially

in the world of genre fiction.

The biggest thing this year was that people don't want political thrillers anymore.

Nobody wants politics.

Everybody is so burned out at the end of 2017.

They really are.

And non-fiction too.

I mean, nobody wants to read politics in any way, shape, or form.

No.

Just stay away from it at this point I think is the solid advice.

Because of that too, there's some really big shifts in romance, which I found really fascinating.

Because that's been all over the place for the last few years, right?

There's constantly shifts within the romance industry because it moves so quickly.

But we saw this really interesting change back to people wanting chick lit books.

Like the Bridget Jones' Diary days, Diary of a Shopaholic, all those.

People wanted books like that because it was these characters that we recognized, a world

that we recognized, but with a happily ever after.

And everyone loves a good happily ever after.

Oh, yeah.

I wonder why that is?

You think it's the MeToo movement?

Is that part of it?

This happened before, but I think that there was a change in women's solidarity.

It started with the Women's March this year.

Oh that's right.

Yeah, that set the tone for the romance world this year.

Quite frankly, I love those books, so I'm not mad that they're back

In romance, are women still waiting for the man to appear?

Oh, god no!

It's such an old cliche now.

No, instead of the damsel in distress it's the duke in distress, which I love.

Yeah, I like that too.

It's this guy who needs the saving, and it's up to the woman to save him, which is great.

That's interesting because this weekend I just saw the new Star Wars movie, and it's

the girl that's the new Jedi, right.

Exactly.

I'm really thrilled by that.

I think that's really fantastic.

They're kicking some butt.

It's great.

That also goes along, maybe this is as we move into trends into 2018, I also see empowerment

of young girls in some of the literature that we're seeing.

Yes, and that even started earlier this year as well, that we are seeing a lot of children's

books with girls as the female protagonist, who are doing great things.

And they weren't dependent on other people.

They were fighting themselves, and it was a really awesome trend that I don't see stopping

anytime soon.

Yeah, I don't either.

You mentioned earlier, when we were talking on a break, about the unreliable girl narrator.

What is that?

The unreliable female narrator.

She is your Gone Girl.

She is your Girl On the Train.

She is your book title with any girl in the title.

She's the opposite of empowered women?

Yeah, she's this unreliable woman where you get the whole story from her perspective,

but she's got some problems.

That's going to be evergreen, but I think people want something a little bit different

now.

That is weird that we went through that trend in this past year and the year before.

Because those were the big books.

Yeah, and this year The Woman In Cabin 10 is really big.

Again, it was that unreliable female narrator who sees a murder happen, and I think we need

to move past that trend a little bit.

I don't want to read about that.

Although, I did love Gone Girl.

That's a great book.

They're good page turners.

Yeah, they really are.

One of the things that we've seen at IngramSpark is, and this is looking towards 2018 as well,

is the rise of poetry, which is kind of surprising, isn't it?

Yeah, and it's kind of been on the rise for the past few years.

This year it really had a moment.

I don't think that it's going to stop anytime soon.

We have an author at IngramSpark, named Robert Drake, who writes wonderful poetry and his

books have been doing incredibly well for the past few years.

Then the number two book in book sales this year was Milk and Honey, which was another

big success in the poetry world.

The thing that I find is a common denominator between those hits are that they're targeting

a younger audience who is reading in print and they're a little angsty, which I find

fun, that teenage angst getting written out in poems in a really beautiful way.

It's pretty great.

The other thing you talked about is, because you're more up to speed on this than I am,

about zombies and vampires and the weirdos that I don't like really particularly to read

about.

But you think there--

You're not a paranormal person.

But you think those are over.

What's going to replace that in the paranormal in 2018?

I honestly think that witches are going to be on the rise.

And one of my agent friends and I agree that we think ghosts are coming back in some way.

Oh, yeah, like that movie Ghost with Patrick Swayze.

Oh, I would read that romance novel.

Oh my gosh, yeah.

I can see that, right.

I love that.

I love witches.

It's time for a Harry Potter-like thing to come back.

Yeah, I agree.

It's been 20 years.

What about superheroes?

Are we done with superheroes?

I'm so tired of superheroes.

I'm so tired of superheroes too.

But there's one exception this year, and that exception was Wonder Woman.

Oh, that's right.

And that kind of ties back to what we were talking about with the year of the woman this

year.

Totally, yeah.

And she's not going away anytime soon.

No, she's here to stay.

Yeah, absolutely.

Let's turn our focus away from genre and talk a little bit about self-publishing as far

as it relates to the entire publishing industry.

What do we see there?

I know we've talked in other podcasts about booksellers and how we're happy at Ingram

to see more booksellers starting new businesses rather than booksellers that are going under.

We're seeing more bookstores.

Yeah, the independent bookstores had a really good year.

That's in part due to the fact that readers know what they want to read and they trust

recommendations from their local booksellers, so they will go to their local bookstore and

say, "I really want a book about this."

Those people can recommend a book to them.

It's the niche market.

It's targeting a niche market.

Plus, when you visit a bookstore, you always find a book that you didn't know about, right.

You always find that there.

I was at The Ripped Bodice out in Culver City and, a romance fan myself, I went there saying,

"I want a really great swashbuckling historical."

And they were able to recommend three to me.

It was fantastic.

Was it the damsel rescuing the duke?

Oh yes, oh yes.

That's great.

Then in terms of other things we've seen here at IngramSpark we continue, which is a very

wonderful thing, we continue to see print books are not going away anytime soon.

Readers still prefer print as far as a reading medium.

Yeah, and even though we had a bump in print last year and the year before because of adult

coloring books, we're still seeing print books on the rise.

Especially amongst younger people.

The teenagers associate e-readers and iPads and all that with homework and want nothing

to do with that when it comes to reading for pleasure.

They absolutely pick up a print book.

And it's a generation that grew up on Harry Potter in the printed book, waiting for that

midnight release.

You remember that?

Those are my favorite.

I know, I love that.

I always dressed up like a complete dork, but it was the best.

It was so fantastic.

We still, at IngramSpark believe in and encourage all of our customers to make their books available

in multiple formats.

I always say you don't know what your reader prefers, what sort of format, so make it available

as an e-book, make it available as a print book.

The other thing we're seeing as a rise is hard cover books.

Oh, yeah.

What do you think about that?

I think it's durability.

Having a nice, hard cover in your hand.

What do you think?

It just looks better on a shelf.

Oh, that's true.

"Shelfies" are a thing now.

If I'm going to invest in a book, I want it to look good on my shelf.

Oh, yeah, have some bragging rights.

And also, if I've met the author, or it's one of my favorite authors, I want that book

for all time, because I'll likely go back and re-read it.

It's not that much more expensive for a hardcover book.

Yeah, my mom does the same thing.

It's a real thing.

What haven't we covered here?

Another big trend is publishing this year was the hybrid author.

Traditionally published authors taking their passion projects and going indie, which was

a really great thing.

And we got a new term out of it too: hybrid author; it's pretty great.

That was another interesting thing that we've seen that authors can jump the lines much

more easily.

Or some authors that have published previously and those rights have been returned back to

them, and then they could republish them under their own imprint, which I think is fantastic.

Yep, that's keeping those books alive.

Yes, forever.

I just love that.

We predict a really wonderful year in 2018.

There's no end to self-publishing, self-publishers, to indie bookstores rising up.

This is going to be the best year ever for indie authors and indie publishers.

I think so too.

If the movies are any indication of how 2018 is going, this year most of the movies nominated

for major awards were indie films, and I think that the book industry is going to clue in

closely to that in 2018.

We're going to see some real indie hits, which is going to be fun to see.

There's never been a better time for an author to have the possibility of their work being

transformed into other media like film or audiobook I think is also another format that's

something that authors should think about as well.

Absolutely, and in terms of genre predictions for 2018, women, women, women.

That's all I can say.

Yeah, even if you're a man and you're writing your book, you should probably include some

strong women characters in there, don't you think?

Oh, absolutely.

But I do want to say to our listeners that if you are writing a book and it is not one

of the trends we have discussed today, that is fine.

Do not write to trend.

Write what you want to write.

Because then you're going to make the best book that you can possibly make and it's going

to find its market.

The best-selling books are usually the ones that have had the most passion in the author,

because not only is it a better written book, but the author also promotes the book better,

because they love it so much.

Oh yeah, exactly.

Yeah, I totally agree with that.

Passion sparks passion.

Well, I think that's the best way to end this, Justine.

These are our predictions for 2018, and we look forward to you signing on to IngramSpark.com

following us on our blog, and just staying close in touch with us.

We love you all.

We'll see you out on the road in 2018.

Bye bye.
