Where to go in Hiroshima? The Great Torii of Miyajima, Otorii Gate! | Japan #16 - Duration: 8:46.

Brother.

Brother.

Are you really that hungry?

Hey...

Hello?

Stop licking that.

Hello!

You can see the cleaner here, quite good.

Let me tell you, you should never bring your dogs here.

- Why? - The deer will probably eat it. Then you're screwed.

If your dog is those mini hotdogs, you're screwed. Then the deer will eat it like hotdogs.

Can you see that? At the front there, near the beach.

Apparently, because right now, it is...

Springtime.

The... the seawater....

Already, you know? Damn, my English is bad. It's so Singaporean.

- It's okay. - Singapore!

Proud of Singapore!

The seawater has retrieved back.

Or has lowered because maybe, now time is about 12.35, I mean 2.35pm.

And, you can see a lot of guests, a lot of tourists.

- So, without further ado.. let's go check it out more... - Why don't you go this way? Do you want to go that way?

- You can't go through, right? It's locked, isn't it? - Are you stupid? Look.

Wanna eat some? Come.

- They went in. - Inside... it's boring inside. Let's walk through here instead. It's faster.

So this is the...

Japan...

Three views...

Something.

Let's go!

- Hello. - Hello.

Oh, it's looking at us!

Good morning. You're pooping all over the place.

Poop more.

Don't hold the GoPro too close the deer might eat it thinking it's food.

This is an expensive food. High tech.

With a lot of shops and a lot of resorts.

And of course, the very very beautiful view of the sea.

Brother.

Brother.

Are you really that hungry?

Hey...

Hello?

Stop licking that.

Hello!

You can see the cleaner here, quite good.

Check out the view over here, the entire city.

Right beside Miyajima, I don't know what this city is, is called.

And yeah this is very very beautiful.

Very very awesome here, a lot of foods here, and a lot of street foods.

Just right outside this is the...

Whatever shrine this is called, I don't know.

You'll be blessed if you walk through right?

Really? Let's walk through.

Time to be blessed!

HP plus 1000. (Health Points)

Oh, look at this.

Yeah, you're supposed to eat grass. Don't be an idiot and eat maps. Right? Damn...

Whoa, actually it's a bit hot here. I think the temperature is about 24, 23.

With the sun it's a bit hot, f***.

I'm still wearing my parka, f***.

- I'm taking mine out. - Look at this.

It's really beautiful.

Your head... Take out your sunglasses!

Damn.

Just squash your head in.

- Squash it in, move your head out. - I can't go any further.

- What? - It's blocking my forehead. - Quick, start chanting, quick.

- Keep chanting. - F*** man I don't know how to chant. I'll be criticized by the viewers.

It's all gibberish.

So you see, at the left side, there's a whole street.

Then there are a few police officers here as well, to maintain safety.

Then you still have the Fujifilm here.

This is one shrine, I think, temple.

Then a whole street of traditional Japanese housing.

One more shrine here as well.

And...

Yeah, freaking...

Basically, what Fujifilm? It's just...

It's just a souvenir shop.

What's that?

- Which one? - What's in front here?

But then, no photography.

There are no one here though, looks boring.

What is this?

- I would rather go to the temple just now. It's bigger. - Yeah.

Is this wood?

Yeah, this is wood.

Ancient wood.

We were here just now, Miyajima port.

We walked to the Otorii gate.

Otorii.

- We're now at where the red dot is. - Yeah.

And we will go over to that side, Omoto Shrine.

Then we'll go one round to that motherf***er and come back.

This place is really, so much so much bigger than freaking Nami Island.

Nami Island? Everywhere you see is like, trees.

- But then here, you can see here. - Buildings. - Super Japanese.

Really super Japanese feel. Look, this is new by the way.

- You can touch the wood. It's really new one. - If they saw you touching it...

Whoa, it's really new.

Freaking new, this is new stuff.

Legit new.

It's quality wood.

Imagine if my studio is here.

- F*** man stop imagining. - This is good. - I think so far the best location would be the one yesterday.

Shuriken.

- Shu... - Shukkei-en.

- That's the best. - Shukkei-en.

Tell you what, just stand in the middle of the road I'll take one for you, quick.

Whoa, this house is good. Who said that Japanese don't live in huge houses?

I once asked my teacher in high school...

I asked...

"Teacher, there are definitely people in Japan that live in bungalows right?"

The teacher said: "No! No such thing!", I'm like, "Why?"

"Because Japan they have very limited land. So they will make use, full use of their land."

"Everyone will live in very small houses. No one in Japan lives in big houses."

Bulls****, what about the wealthy ones? They can't be living in small houses right?

Teacher, teacher. See? See this?

- This is people's house. - You remember the teacher's name?

This one.

See? I tell you, don't tell me what people don't live in big houses. ********, understand?

I don't think you will upload this.

I really don't think you will upload this.

I'm really dumb that time, I still went on and believed my teacher. "Oh teacher, is that so?"

F***ing s***, ten years later when I come to Japan then I realize you are bulls***ing me.

Right now...

I'm on Bolin Chen Adventure's channel.

So if you're watching this video, means you're on the right page.

And would you just click the subscribe button?

See more of his awesome videos man!

One of the best travel videos you will ever see in your life. I swear.

(light jazz music)

- Okay, I get it.

Look, I went to Weeaboo Rehab

And I know I said that I'm never gonna get back

into anime or Japan, or any of that chibi stuff but.

You know, once in a while an opportunity comes up

like Marty's Mailbag on youtube.com/ennuitv1.

I get an opportunity to go back to my roots.

I decided, you know, I'd just take it, run with it.

We ordered Japan Crate from Japan.

Right there it says Japan Crate.

Or as they say...

(racist accent) Japan-

(normal accent) Crate.

Fucking ripped.

We've got a lot of, look at this.

Look at this shit.

Okay let's start with

this.

So this is sweet potato candy.

Enjoy a moment of pure bliss with its gentle sweetness.

Okay so let's give her a rip open boys.

(sniffs)

Smells like a package container.

But we're gonna have a little bit of an open one.

That's actually really good.

That's actually really good.

Brad, try one.

When I give you something, you taste it okay.

- No, no, no, no, no if, ands or buts, okay?

We're gonna open these things now.

I can't read Japanese so just gonna give it an open up.

It's very sweet, very sweet.

Here's one for you, Brad.

(candy drops)

Here's one for you, Brad.

(candy drops)

Here's one for you, Brad.

(candy drops)

Here's one.

Mmm, what is this?

It looks like a marshmallow.

Oh there's something inside. (sniffs)

You know when you get that sense

that someone is trying to poison you, (spits)

the Japs give me that.

Okay what is this we got here?

It looks like it's nice and foamy.

I can't read what's going on.

It looks like it's fairy floss.

And this...it's just a powder.

Maybe it's like sherbet.

If I taste it, it'll taste nice and sherbet-y.

Blue or pink, blue or pink?

Which one I choose, blue or pink?

It's gonna be pink.

It just tastes really, oh it's very sour.

It's very sour.

What's this contraption?

This looks like

one of those traditional Japanese straws they have.

I pull it out and oh.

I think I figured it out.

Look I don't do a lot of drugs.

You know I might dabble in that

bloody, heebie-jeebie weedy Stevie stuff.

Thanks, Chris.

But today...

I'm gonna do a bit of cocaine.

(snorts)

That's good stuff.

(snorts, coughs, yells)

No, no, it's not good stuff! (cries)

Oh, shit. (spits)

Oh, shit.

Okay, more Japanese candy.

I can't tell what these are

but you know what they look like? (laughs)

Oh, nipples.

Nipple.

(racist accent) Oo, la, la.

I'm a Japanese woman. (Japanese moans)

They're actually alright.

Very bitter, a bit of a sour taste. (spits)

They just look like little corny chippies.

They don't taste like anything. (spits)

Yes, they do and it's not very good. (spits)

This is Japanese popcorn.

So far the Japanese food's been alright.

I'm a big fan of Japan, as you know.

I am the big fan of Japanese food.

Now this is amazing.

Like, honestly, I don't like ...

I'm a very picky eater, I'm very indecisive.

When I like the food...

I love the food.

So finally we come to our last item in our Japan Crate

and that is grape sparkling water

with my favourite little character there, Pikachu.

Pikachu, I choose you.

You know, Pokemon, my favourite anime.

Oo that was really grape-y. (spits)

I wanna give a thanks to our fans all five of them.

Thanks for watching the show.

And thanks for supporting us, liking, and subscribing.

And you know what?

Cheers to you my chibi friend.

Chug down.

(spits and moans)

(gags and spits)

As you've probably learned today,

Japan may be the greatest country in the world

but their food, you know

it's not always gonna be exactly what you want.

I think I need to go to the hospital.

I've thrown up like six times today.

(burps)

That's no good.

I can't drink that, I can't drink that, I can't drink that.

♪ Get jiggy with it, c'mon Brad. ♪

Japan may refit a helicopter carrier to handle F-35B stealth fighters - Duration: 5:02.

Japan may refit a helicopter carrier to handle F-35B stealth fighters in response to threats from China and North Korea

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan is considering refitting the Izumo helicopter carrier so that it can land US Marines F-35B stealth fighters, government sources said on Tuesday, as Tokyo faces Chinas maritime expansion and North Koreas missile and nuclear development.

Japan has not had fully fledged aircraft carriers since its World War II defeat in 1945.

Any refit of the Izumo would be aimed at preparing for a scenario in which runways in Japan had been destroyed by missile attacks, and at bolstering defense around Japans southwestern islands, where Chinas maritime activity has increased.

Three government sources close to the matter said the Japanese government was keeping in sight the possible future procurement of F-35B fighter jets, which can take off and land vertically, as it looks into the remodeling of the Izumo.

The 248-metre (814-foot) Izumo, Japans largest warship equipped with a flat flight deck, was designed with an eye to hosting F-35B fighters.

Its elevator connecting the deck with the hangar can carry the aircraft, the sources said.

Possible refitting measures included adding a curved ramp at the end of the flight deck, improving the decks heat resistance against jet burners, and reinforcing the ships air-traffic-control capability, they said.

However, Japanese Defence Minister Itsunori Onodera said the government was not taking any concrete steps towards refitting the Izumo.

Regarding our defense posture, we are constantly conducting various examinations.

But no concrete examination is under way on the introduction of F-35B or remodeling of Izumo-class destroyers, Onodera told reporters on Tuesday.

The Izumo has a sister ship called the Kaga.

Japan has frequently conducted joint drills with US aircraft carriers in recent months to boost deterrence against North Korea.

One of the three government sources called such exercises a great opportunity to see with our own eyes how the US military operates their aircraft carriers as Japan looks into the possible conversion of the Izumo into an aircraft carrier.

Regional tension has soared since North Korea conducted its sixth and largest nuclear test in September.

Pyongyang said a month later it had successfully tested a new intercontinental ballistic missile that could reach all of the US mainland.

Japan is also wary of Chinas long-range missiles, and would like to secure measures to launch fighters from aircraft carriers in case runways operated by US forces in Japan or by Japans Air Self-Defence Force were destroyed by missiles.

Article 9 of Japans pacifist constitution, if taken literally, bans the maintenance of armed forces.

However, Japanese governments have interpreted it to allow a military exclusively for self-defense.

Owning an aircraft carrier could raise a question of constitutionality, the sources said, so the government is set to address the issue in its new National Defence Programme Guidelines to be compiled by the end of 2018.

Folding electric car modelled on robots developed in Japan | news 24h - Duration: 6:56.

Real-life Transformers: £50,000 folding electric car modelled on shape-shifting robots is developed in Japan

A folding electric car modelled after transforming robots has been developed in Japan.

The £52,000 ($70,000) concept vehicle is expected to gain approval to run on public roads soon, opening the way to public sales.

Called Earth-1, it was inspired by the shape-shifting robots that feature in the popular Japanese anime series Mobile Suit Gundam.

A folding electric car modelled after transforming robots has been developed in Japan.

The £52,000 ($70,000) concept vehicle is expected to gain approval to run on public roads soon, opening the way to public sales.

Four Link first stated its goal of developing an electric car five years ago, claiming its aim was to beat a Toyota.

The firm said because it could not compete with the automaker on performance, cost or brand power, its engineers focussed on design.

With the help of Gundam designer Mr Okawara, the team developed a robotlike vehicle that is road legal despite its strange design.

The cars design was conceived by the cartoons lead artist, Kunio Okawara, and developed by Tokyo-based startup firm Four Link Systems.

Orders are already coming in from buyers in Japan and abroad, with one overseas airport interested in using the vehicle for a ride-sharing service, Four Link claims.

The vehicles compact chassis is capable of folding itself up, creating something akin to one of Mobile Suit Gundams mecha robot cockpits.

While the car is driven via a conventional steering wheel, users transform the chassis with a joystick.

As there were no existing mechanisms for a folding car chassis, Four Link developed special motors and other components from scratch.

Wed worked on control units, design assistance and robots as part of our business, Four Link President Hiroomi Kinoshita said, as reported by Nikkei.

The next step was to pursue ultracompact mobility, he said.
