Accenture, they basically sold me a dream.

If I could describe Accenture

Federal in one word it would be

innovation.

Accenture has been a

great place to start my career.

The first thing I would say is if

you enjoy helping others then this

is a place for you.

And in our case

it's like helping our client get

to what they need because essentially

we're all consultants. Consultants

help people we solve problems.

We develop technology. We're helping

other corporations succeed as well

as the government. So what attracted

me to AFS is the fact that my full

time helping others is helping

the nation.

I think Accenture Federal Services

is in a very interesting

intersection between private business

solution and public sector work.

It's a really cool space to be in.

But also because of the professional

development opportunities and the

technical development. I've been

sponsored on two certifications.

So it's kind of changed me to become

a better person and it's also a

change for me to be more effective

at the things that I do.

Coming out of college I really did not

know what I wanted to do and so

what was so appealing about Accenture

was that I could have so many different

roles all while having the same

job and working for the same company.

One thing that you see here is you

see a lot of women executives when

I see managing directors or senior

managers who are women who look

like me I'm like

oh, one day I can get there you know.

You gotta learn to love change

in order to really thrive here.

No one I feel is left out.

Accenture has been a really great foundation

for my career development.

November 2017 Update #DHSTV with Hank Jongen Department of Human Services - Duration: 3:29.

This month: Child Dental Benefits Schedule, claiming ABSTUDY and travelling overseas.

G'day, I'm Hank Jongen, here to tell you what's happening with the department in November.

As the year is coming to an end I'd like to remind families about the

Child Dental Benefits Schedule. This covers part of or the full costs of

a range of dental services for children aged 2 to 17 years of age. If eligible,

you can get up to $1000 over 2 calendar years. Before booking a

visit to the dentist, you can check your eligibility and the remaining benefit

cap amount for your child by accessing your Medicare online account through

myGov or by calling the Medicare general enquiries line. ABSTUDY helps Indigenous

Australians with the costs of studying or doing an Australian Apprenticeship.

It's important to get claims for next year submitted early. This is especially

important for students moving away from home to study, that's so payments can be

finalised and travel can be organised as early as possible. Claiming before

December will help students get ABSTUDY before school starts. This year, we've

made claiming easier with a verbal declaration. This means when you claim

over the phone, most people won't need to return a Customer Declaration Form

you'll only need to return it if your information isn't correct or you need to

advise of changes. We'll also let you know if you need to provide any

additional supporting documents for your claim. As we're approaching the end of

the year, a lot of people are thinking about holidays. If you're planning to

travel overseas, it's important to check how this may affect your health care,

child support arrangements and Centrelink payments.

You can tell us about your travel using your Centrelink online account through

myGov, and we'll be able to give you tailored information about how your

travel could affect your payment. While overseas, you'll also need to let

the department know about any changes to your circumstances that would normally

affect your payment or concession card, just as you would if you were in

Australia. There are rules covering how travelling outside Australia may affect

your payment or concession card. These depend on the payment or concession card

that you get. You can find out more on the website. Thanks for watching, and as

always, don't forget to like or follow us on social media and subscribe to our

channel to keep up to date. I'll see you next month, goodbye for now.

Brexit Britain services exports booming in US and Asia - Duration: 5:30.

Britain exports THREE TIMES more services to the United States than to Germany while sales to Asia have soared, new figures reveal

Brexit Britain received a boost today after new figures show that exports are booming - and sales to the US far outstrip those to Germany.

Trade numbers show the UK exports twice as much in services than we import - selling £38. 537bn from April to June this year and buying in just £17. 762bn.

And Britain sells over three times more to the United States than we do to Germany - our biggest trading partner in the EU.

The Office for National Statistics revealed the UK sold £8. 4bn worth of services to the US from April to June - far more than the £2. 5bn sold to Germany.

While sales to Asia have seen the biggest growth - jumping by nearly £1bn to £7. 279bn from the first quarter of this year to the second.

The figures will be greeted with cheer by Brexiteers who have called for the UK to focus more on beefing up our trade links with the expanding Asia and US markets rather than focus on the EU.

In a statement to Mail Online, International Trade Secretary, Dr Liam Fox said: Todays figures show our exports growing from strength to strength.

UK services are in high demand across the globe, with nearly two thirds going to markets outside the EU such as Japan and Saudi Arabia.

It heralds a prosperous trading future for the UK, and its why the dynamic and experienced team at my international economic department will continue to prepare the ground for future free trade deals, and support more British businesses that want to export.

Jacob Rees-Mogg, Tory MP for North East Somerset, told Mail Online: The great strength of the UK is in services.

It is striking that the US is our biggest national market and that we are doing well in the high growth Asian markets.

Over the next generation the sclerotic European economies are the past, Brexit frees us for the future.

The numbers show the value of British exports in services - excluding industries such as transport, banking and travel - to 54 different countries.

The EU is Britains biggest single trading  bloc - with the 27 other member states collectively buying 36. 4 per cent of the UKs service exports.

While the second biggest market is North America which bought more than a fifth (22. 9 per cent) of Britains services exports in the last quarter.

The value of exports to North America rose by £396 million to £8. 861bn from the first three months of the year compared to the second.

A surge in sales to the US was the driving force behind this jump, with an extra £397 million of sales going to the States.

ONS said that sales increased to nearly all geographical regions - but the highest surge was in the growing market of Asia.

Sales to Asia increased by £951 million from the first three months of the year to the second, reaching £7. 279bn.

China made the single largest contribution to the increase, growing by £246 million over the three months.

The figures are a boost for Chancellor Philip Hammond ahead of the Budget, which he will deliver in three weeks time.

He is under pressure to find extra  funds to plough into house building and other public services.

Weight loss & bariatric services patient success stories - Duration: 3:18.

I feel so much more confident.

I think healthy is the new way to go.

I can have the life I've wanted for many, many years.

I'm very happy.

I feel as though I got my whole life back, not just little bits and pieces.

I mean, I used to love ice cream.

I love ice cream.

It's really strange.

Now I don't...that's one thing that I really don't crave now.

Tying my shoes.

Actually bending over and tying my shoes.

That was a big one.

I can do whatever.

I can climb a mountain if I wanted.

My heavy weight was 300.

I started bawling. I didn't know what to do.

I was literally sitting by the wayside watching my family outings, watching people I love.

That wasn't how I wanted to be.

That's not what I wanted.

Wait a minute, this is just food.

I'm letting food take over my actual life?

The weight is one thing, but I want to live.

Obesity is on the rise and it's becoming a pandemic.

It's all over the world.

It's not just the United States.

You're fighting an uphill battle against your own metabolism once you hit a certain weight.

The fastest growing sub-specialty in medicine currently is bariatric surgery.

It's to help somebody get healthy in the form of weight loss.

Many patients come to us because it's not just a dietary problem.

It could easily be a psychological issue.

Stress, emotions - many of these issues can cause weight gain.

You have to tackle the root of the problem.

You have to be willing to accept that you can't go to a BBQ or all you can eat buffet

or have extra dessert - those types of things.

If you are willing to accept that.

If you are willing to accept that change right from the get go, that's the first step in

saying OK maybe surgery is for you.

I think I just got to a point where I was just tired of being tired and tired of being

unhappy.

I think after maybe a year I finally just decided alright, let's try it.

I walked into his office at 300 pounds.

I'm now at 165.

Just trust the process.

I think that was the thing I did actually struggled the most with.

Releasing my own decisions to trust the process.

You just need to see what you - your life would be without having the surgery.

I would say just get all the information that you can, because it does work and I'm very happy with

my decision.

I'm becoming me.

I'm becoming the person really that I always was but was afraid to come forward and be.
